Why Many Bad Things Happen to Good People...The Problem Are you one of the many victims of an unbroken curse? Today, countless Christians throughout the world are plagued by unexplained poverty, calamities, and a variety of adverse circumstances. Their lives are tragically filled with heartache and desperation as they continuously struggle against overpowering temptation, physical and mental illness, and a myriad of catastrophic events. Usually, they are unaware that their plight is the result of an unbroken curse that has been placed upon them and perhaps upon their families. Some of the CausesHatred and jealousyTrespassing on the devil’s territoryHandling unholy thingsInherited cursesBreaking vows to GodThe Solution The Bible specifically instructs every believer to avoid curses and to recognize and break them. Yet, an astonishing number of Bible-believing Christians have either not read or do not remember these essential spiritual principles. Thus, many believers live under the affliction of unbroken curses. This book will show you the necessary biblical steps to recognize, prevent, and break every type of curse.
Rebecca Brown (born Ruth Irene Bailey, legally changed in April, 1986) is a controversial Christian author and former doctor best known for her claims of having helped people escape the occult.
In 1984, Brown's medical license was revoked by the issuing state of Indiana. The licensing board ruled that on numerous occasions she had "knowingly and intentionally misdiagnosed her patients", blaming their illnesses on demonic possession. A board-appointed psychiatrist diagnosed her as suffering from "acute personality disorders including demonic delusions and/or paranoid schizophrenia" and observed her injecting herself with unknown substances. The board also found that she had over-medicated her patients and administered improper treatments, as well as failed to properly document their treatment.
The 1984 medical board findings from the state of Indiana identified Elaine as Edna Elaine Moses (aka Elaine Moses, aka Elaine Bailey), one of Brown's patients, and charged that Brown had misdiagnosed her with leukemia and erroneously "treated" her with large doses of Demerol and Phenobarbital. Elaine had to be hospitalized for detoxification of the controlled substances Brown had given her.
After losing her medical license, Bailey adopted the name "Dr. Rebecca Brown". Brown and Elaine Moses (now roommate) began telling people of how Moses was a former high priestess of a Satanic cult and bride of Satan, and how "Dr. Brown" had saved her from a hospital riddled with Satanic cult members who had infiltrated it.
Also among the two women's claims were that Yoga is Satanic, Roman Catholicism is Witchcraft, and that Dungeons & Dragons and other role-playing games are Satanic.
Brown married "Rev." Daniel Michael Yoder (legal name William Joseph Stewart) on December 10, 1989 and created a Christian group called Harvest Warriors with her husband.
Until the last chapter, I was tempted to give this five stars. But the last chapter is worth about five extra stars in its own right.
Personally I think the work of sanctification has to be progressing for a significant while in anyone's life, before being ready for the teaching here. The last chapter concerns asking for the rendering of a judgment in the courts of heaven - and that's not something I'd encourage anyone to do without serious self-examination first.
Used with discernment, however, this is an invaluable book regarding some of the trickier aspects of spiritual warfare.
During my hyper-charismatic phase of life, I was encouraged to buy this book. While reading it, I became superstitious. If the truly born-again Christian, for whom Christ Jesus has died to reconcile to God and in whom dwells the Holy Spirit, has to break "curses" that he/she is now aware of, then how efficacious is the sacrifice of Christ? The premise of the book almost denies that Christ's death is effective in breaking every curse that was upon the believer before coming to faith in Christ. This book is an affront to Colossians. Christians do not have to renounce all kinds of curses, but rather live a life of continual repentance as God refines the character and brings to light the sin in his/her life. That is qualitatively different than living as a Christian under the belief that God did not save you from all curses that (you falsely believe) that the Devil has put upon you.
The book plays against the Christian's faith in the sufficiency of God's provision of ALL and EVERY THING that the Christian needs to be redeemed. Having to break "curses" off of a Christian is fanciful. This does not mean that there are not lingering consequences to the life of sin that the Christian lived prior to faith. The Christian must trust in the same God who has called him/her into faith to protect and preserve him/her unto the day of redemption. This book directs the Christian's faith onto his/her own ability to identify curses and take action to renounce those curses rather than trusting solely in God to deliver him/her from the evil one.
This book is powerful and eye- opener for those ignorant of satans devices. I suggest reading Expel Demons by Derek Prince after reading this one. This two will help you in spiritual warfare.
I loved her other book - Prepare for War, and subsequently bought this book. I have read different reviews about this book and articles about both Rebecca Brown and her husband Daniel Yoder that says negative things about them. I am quite ambivalent yet about this current read, although I have been inclined to rate it as 4 stars because for one this deviates from the current fad of a lot of "Christian" authors who are selling the Love gospel and the Prosperity teaching. I'll have to dig deeper and ask for wisdom to fully know whether what they wrote truly aligns with the Word.
If you are a Christian and are looking for a deeper walk with God and cannot understand why there have been so many road blocks along the way, I recommend reading this book. This book has opened not only my eyes, but have shown me things that I was doing wrong in my life that I didn’t even know was sin. This book is a must buy and not only to buy and read, but to buy read and to take notes.
This book came into my hands when I was just moving into my first apartment in my 20s and it came at a timely moment. This book is eye-opening and surprising. After reading this book, I am more aware of spiritual warfare. I had purchased multiple copies and sent it to everyone in my circle of friends and family. Since reading this book, I have found myself using more discernment when touching, interacting and visiting sites. I pray for wisdom and discernment every day and ensure that I put on the full armor of God, always ready for spiritual battle. Isaiah 54:17 No weapon formed against me shall prosper. Well written and a must-read for every Christian.
Every Christian need to read this book. Whether knowingly or unknowingly we sometime threaded on sinful ground which we do not know of. God is a righteous God and He cannot tolerate sin in whatever form. We are sinful people. Oftentimes. we are not able to progress in our walk with God because of unconfess sins in our life. This book with guide us to identify our shortcoming and to solve it in Jesus's name. Amen.
listened to this in audio and as always my spiritual mind was greatly awakened. This is definitely a book to read again and again to understand the different areas of bondage and why some things may be as they are. Curses are real.
Very great book which have bring me closer to God. This book teaches me to break curses and I was about to pray again things affecting my marriage and life. I was about to removed fridge magnets from Asia country with evil signs.
Excelente, te enseña acerca de las maldiciones que puedes tener en la vida, por qué no progresas, si le has dado derecho legal el enemigo en tu vida. Cómo vivir cómo un verdadero hijo de Dios.
It taught me a lot of mistakes one could make as a Christian (whether a mature Christian or a babe). It also taught me humbleness, not have misdirected over-zealousness
I read somewhere recently that the mind is like a parachute in that it works better when it is open... the whole book is good - but the last chapter she tells a tremendously moving personal story ... really brings together all that she is teaching in here. if you are continually struggling with things in your life, even AFTER you've given your heart and life to Jesus... (as most Christians I know are) ... I'd challenge you to break through some of your closed-mindedness and read this book...
Practical application learned from the Bible and the life-experience of the application. The application enlightened in spiritual perspective. Ascertained principle of the Bible.
Many hidden aspects of the christian life are here being revealed. This is how deliverance happens. I'm so thankful the way the Holy Spirit has been guiding through this piece of work.

Alguna que otra cosita puedo tomar, pero cuando te salen con tantas inconsistencias, relatos o aparente información sin respaldo, y más si uno investiga la biografía de los autores, es difícil tomarse en serio y no de todo.
