I look forward to this author’s books but I can not get into this story. First, Jenn is a harpy thru the first half and Miles is awful. One step forward, 10 steps back. I’m only halfway and stopped to write review cuz I’m struggling to give a crap about these two people.
Glad everyone else seem to enjoy the book but this one wasn’t for me. The backflipping of Jen bothered me, in the beginning of the book, she has a lengthy and repetitive conversation with her father about selling her grandmothers house, Jen basically just rolls her eyes, a few days later she meets Miles with a generous offer for the house and it’s Insta anger 🤷♀️ she didn’t display that anger at her father and he understood the situation better, so why? when her dad suggested the same thing. She tells Miles, that selling him her Grandmas house is like selling him her Grandma a few days later she gets a postal offer for the house and then tucks it away in case she sells, (no doubt this offer plays a part later in the book) she’s to wishy washy and I couldn’t believe the employment negotiations, she was rude and demanding not a good sign for a future employee, she needed to be kicked out, I’m sure if I finished it there’d be backed ground for their behaviours, but I’d been reading for while and still didn’t care about her or him really. I enjoyed Pippa’s story but not Jenns. DNF
Another great story from Nicole Snow! I have loved every book I have read from her! This one is a grumpy/sunshine office romance. It has great banter and drama between Miles and Jennifer. I loved it, I'm a sucker for a good enemies to lovers read! I would recommend it to other readers!
I held off reading this book for a long time cuz I absolutely hated the cover. I finally gave in and started it since I had the other books in the series. I always feel like this author has storylines that have potential to be really fun but the characters lose me really quick. First off, I can not stand when the male character calls the female characters”Kitten”😩 These two have so much unnecessary anger right from the get go and their lack of communication is just off the charts bad. I wish just once an author would write a fun romcom with a bit of spice and minus the miscommunication and angsty BS. This one was not one of my favorites 😕
This is an entertaining romance with strong characters in Jenn and Miles. The author brings all the feels in this emotional yet funny story. She kept me glued to the pages with all of the ups and downs along the way. These two are meant to be together ... but can they make it through the tough times? The story is well written, moves fluidly with perfectly painted scenes and is a terrific read. Loved and recommend this book.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
Nicole Snow does it again with her latest offering in the Bossy Seattle Suits. Miles Cromwell arrives at the door to Jennifer Lander’s’ deceased grandmother’s B&B firmly believing he will make her an offer for the property, she will accept and he will have his peace, quiet and unobstructed view. I mean, he’s Miles Cromwell and no one ever refuses him. 😂 She refuses, repeatedly, and he finds himself intrigued as to why a young up and comer with Winthrope would want to refurbish and reopen a money pit like Bee Harbor. Both of them, unknowingly, shared a close loving relationship with Lottie and Miles is the only one that can truly make Cream and Coffee, Gram’s Dobermans mind. He finally finds himself hiring her marketing expertise to help whip his marketing team into shape and revive Pinnacle Point’s sagging tourism trade. They find themselves drawn to each other with her beginning to thaw towards him and then him turning cold and retreating behind his icy wall of restraint. As they begin to find themselves truly falling for each other an enemy from his past looms and Miles refuses to open up and let Jenn help him with what turns out to be a massive smear campaign from the ultimate “woman scorned”. Months and tears and Jenn’s dogged investigation skills help them to finally reunite. Once I began this ARC I could not put it down until I finished. Definitely ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️ !
Jenn inherits her grandma's bed and breakfast next door to billionaire Miles. He offers to buy it and it sets of a chain of events that are hilarious, heart-breaking, devious, romantic, and swoony. The two of them start a flirty/hate tug of war that has her consulting for him and a psycho ex stalking them. Enjoy this series how people and businesses cross over.

ABOUT THIS BOOK:
This is book four in the Bossy Seattle Suits series about bossy billionaires and the quirky women they fall for. This series follows the Chicago-based Bad Chicago Bosses series. Though this Seattle series is somewhat similar, it does have a slightly different feel.
So far, the Bossy Seattle Suits series includes: 1. One Bossy Proposal (Lincoln Burns & Dakota Poe’s story) 2. One Bossy Dare (Cole Lancaster & Eliza Angelo’s story) 3. One Bossy Date (Brock Winthrope & Piper Renee’s story) 4. One Bossy Offer (Miles Cromwell & Jennifer Landers; story)
Fans will be delighted as they come across a handful of crossover references to other books by the author. FROM ONE BOSSY PROPOSAL, BOOK 1:
This story opens in the spring in Seattle.
Dakota Poe, twenty-four, has a lot of attitude. The jaded blonde beauty has a super sweet side, but she also has a strong feisty streak that won’t be tamed. She recently moved to Seattle and hopes to make it her forever home. She comes from Dallas, North Dakota. Many of Dallas’s younger folks eventually move away to bigger cities, but until last spring, Dakota had hoped to stay. Jay Foyt broke her heart and forever crushed her dreams of a happily ever after when he failed to show up on their wedding day. Being abandoned and humiliated is hard to live down in a small town. She no longer believes in love, so she is working on her career. She pounced on the opportunity when presented with a job offer in Seattle, but the pay leaves something to be desired and the work is not rewarding. She is therefore looking for something better. Dakota loves writing, and like her distant relative, she gravitates toward poetry. Being related to Edgar Allen Poe has long led to jokes, but she shares in the dark vibe of her ancestor. She won the Young National Poet’s award while in high school, and she hopes to eventually find more time to pursue her poetry.
Lincoln Burns, thirty-two, is the bossy billionaire CEO of Haughty But Nice, an upscale fashion empire. Their focus is quality, and they tend to steer away from over-the-top designs. It is a family company, and he took over the helm when his mother retired shortly after his father’s death. Lincoln worked his way through his grief and has not stopped since. He has brought modern business ideas to the job, and it has paid off in spades. His newest project is the launch of a wedding line, but the endeavor isn’t cheap, so there is also great risk. Marketing will be critical to their success. Besides grieving his father’s death, Lincoln’s workaholic tendencies have a few more motivations. His best friend, Wyatt Emory, has had a rough time since they left the Marines. Lincoln took note of the power of love to ruin a man. His own experience with love blew up, too, when plans to spend his life with Regina Swann ended in disaster. Even his parents’ perfect marriage had a lesson for him. Lincoln has decided that work, not love, is a more worthwhile use of time, and with Haughty But Nice, he has found purpose. He only does one-nighters, but even those haven’t interested him in quite some time.
When Lincoln makes his usual stop at Sweeter Grind for their famous Regis roll, he panics when he learns that they have sold out. The last roll went to the woman in front of him in line, so it should be an easy fix. When the little firecracker refuses his attempts to sway her into giving up the treat, he finally walks away in disgust. When she shows up a few days later for an interview for the copywriting position to help launch the new wedding line, he hopes to quickly dismiss her, but she seems to impress the rest of his team. Before he knows it, he is offering to pay her top dollar to accept the job. As Lincoln and Dakota embark on a combative work relationship, their chemistry is probably obvious to everyone except themselves. Their walls slowly begin to crumble, but there are rules against an office relationship. The couple eventually earns a very happy ending. FROM ONE BOSSY DARE, BOOK 2:
This story opens during the summer in Seattle. Lincoln and Dakota have already welcomed baby girl Evermore into the world.
Eliza Angelo, twenty-six, lives and breathes coffee. For her, brewing coffee is an art. She has been perfecting her methods and writing down her recipes for years. It is her dream to open her own coffee shop one day, naming it Liza’s Love. Her job as a virtual assistant helps her pay the bills in the meantime and gives her the flexibility she needs to make her coffee experiments her priority. Without some serious savings, though, her dreams only get farther away. She has decided that she does not need romantic complications in her life, devoting herself instead to her love of coffee.
Cole Lancaster Jr., thirty-seven, is the billionaire CEO of Wired Cup Inc., a well-established regional chain of coffee shops headquartered in Seattle and known for its reliable brew. The Lancasters are coffee royalty. Cole is the fourth generation to run his family-owned business, and he hopes to pass it on to his daughter one day. Destiny may be a handful at fifteen, but she is a great kid and he knows how lucky he is. She will leave for college in a few years, and he will hardly know what to do with himself. His late wife Aster died ten years ago, making Cole a single father. The police in Hawaii told him it was an accident, but it never made sense in Cole’s mind. He has avoided returning to the family farm he inherited there ever since. Some have suggested that he needs to accept what happened and move on, but moving on doesn’t sit right with him even though he and Aster had an arranged marriage. It was a good business partnership for their parents. Cole was determined to make the marriage work. Aster’s death changed him. He has lived like a monk for the past decade, afraid to make himself or Destiny vulnerable again. Troy wants to see his friend find happiness once again, but Cole is steadfast in his position on dating.
When Eliza shows up one morning at the Seventh Street Wired Cup location for a cup of coffee and to chat with her favorite barista, Wayne, she is appalled by the way his manager speaks to him, and when she has finally heard enough, she gives that manager a piece of her mind. Cole is taken by surprise when he finds a customer inserting herself and her unsolicited opinions into his meeting, and he soon finds himself steaming mad. But when Cole discovers Eliza’s talent with coffee, he knows she has what it takes to bring excitement to their brand again. Cole and Eliza dance around their attraction to one another as they work to develop Wired Cup’s new menu. They are hot and cold, but eventually, their shared love of coffee and their attraction to one another lead to passion. They eventually find a happy ending. FROM ONE BOSSY DATE, BOOK 3:
The story opens during early summer in Seattle.
Piper Renee, twenty-four, is a bird geek. She might be mature for her age, but birds never fail to bring out the kid in her. She always maintains a positive outlook despite the responsibility she shoulders. Her mother walked out ten years ago, leaving Piper to step up as a substitute mother figure for her sister Maisy, who was just seven at the time, as well as look out for her ailing father. Piper can’t be away from home for long since someone needs to look after their father. Rather than take a 9 to 5 job and be tied down every day, she has used her resourcefulness to make her own way in the world. She earned a bachelor’s degree in media relations and put her knowledge to work. She combines her brains and beauty, building channels and marketing her content. As a social media influencer, she gets paid to do what she loves – travel. She hopes to travel the world, but since getting away is complicated, much of her travels are limited to B&Bs and cabins in the Pacific Northwest.
Brock Winthrope, thirty-one, could be living a life of leisure, but it isn’t his style. The billionaire with model good looks took over as CEO of Winthrope International two years ago. His grandfather took the company to great heights, and Brock has big shoes to fill. Ross Winthrope is a legend in the resort industry, known for his successful line of luxury resorts across the world. Brock is close to his grandparents. Women haven’t interested Brock since high school – not for more than a one-off – since his entire focus is on work. Employees consider him moody, and his sometimes explosive reputation instills fear in those that value their job. At Winthrope, nothing but the finest is expected. Winthrope Lanai is a big test of Brock’s success, and he has spared no detail at the resort. Despite his efforts, though, something has been amiss in recent months. Brock suspects someone has an axe to grind.
When Piper’s best friend Jenn, who works in marketing at Winthrope’s Seattle headquarters, hooks her up with a weekend stay at Winthrope Lanai’s penthouse suite in exchange for a review, she is thrilled. But her brief stay gets off to a rough start when she finds a strange man in her room. When Brock checks into the penthouse, he never imagines that the woman who walks in on him will turn out to be a social media influencer. Confounded as to how the mix-up occurred and desperate to salvage the upcoming review, he sets his mind to fix things for her. Unfortunately, the beautiful influencer doesn’t seem interested in apologies. Two months pass when the pair unexpectedly comes face to face again. Despite the risk to both their careers, they let temptation overpower them. The problems at Winthrope are just getting started, but the couple eventually earns a lovely HEA. IN THIS BOOK:
The story opens in early July; Brock and Piper are married.
Jennifer Landers, twenty-six, left city life and her cushy job at Winthrope International behind a few weeks ago and is not looking back. She just inherited her grandmother’s property on Pinnacle Point, a small island town several hours from Seattle by ferry. The large oceanside property includes a cottage and a small inn, not to mention the beautiful gardens. Jenn has fond memories of time spent with her grandmother on the island, and since Gram left the precious property to her, then sees it as her responsibility to care for it now. The Bee Harbor Inn has a loyal following, but unfortunately, it is in much need of repairs. Her parents urge her to sell and return to Seattle, but Jenn has a bit of her Gram’s independent spirit, and the peace and quiet call to her. With no income and just a small business account that she inherited, to make ends meet, she must find freelance work to keep her going until the inn takes off once again. If she cannot afford the repairs, she may be forced to sell.
Miles Cromwell, thirty-five, isn’t known for being warm and fuzzy. He has had a few women in his time, but he doesn’t see himself settling down. A recluse at heart, he prefers to spend his days alone, painting landscapes. It helps to calm and distract him from the ugly thoughts that often creep into his mind. As CEO of Cromwell-Narada Media, he cannot spend all of his time lying low at his Pinnacle Point home, much to his chagrin. His Seattle-based company is just a forty-minute flight away, and he lives there much of the year. Cromwell-Narada is a media giant and dominates the Pacific Northwest. Miles took over for his father years ago, and he works diligently to continue to grow the company and keep atop market trends. Unfortunately, his marketing department struggles to get out of the corporate mindset and isn’t keeping pace with new ideas in marketing, so getting traction in social media is an area that needs work.
Miles values his privacy, so when his neighbor on Pinnacle Point dies, he worries about what that means for the neighboring property. He suspects the granddaughter who inherited Lottie’s inn won’t be interested in keeping the money pit, so he prepares a very generous offer to buy her out. He certainly never expects the door to be slammed in his face. But as much as he wants that property to ensure it never gets developed into condos, it is the sight of Lottie’s granddaughter that has him so riled up.
When Jenn’s new neighbor has the nerve to presume she will sell to him, she cannot get rid of him fast enough. Miles infuriates her, but he also sets her on fire. Somehow it feels like he knew Gram better than he lets on, but Jenn won’t let that bother her. When he offers her a deal she cannot pass up, though, she ends up spending much more time with her bossy neighbor than she had hoped. Miles agrees to pay $150,000 in exchange for 3 months of consulting fees on a project near and dear to him. He hires Jenn as a marketing consultant to advise his team on how to present effectively on social media for a nonprofit side project in support of Pinnacle Point’s new tourism push. In exchange, he asks for first dibs should she ever decide to sell Bee Harbor Inn. There seems to be a catch, though, since the money will actually enable Jenn to pay for the repairs and reopen for business instead of giving up on her dream as she had feared.
Miles and Jenn have insane chemistry, so it doesn’t take long before their hatred turns to passion. But Cromwell-Narada has a strict non-fraternization policy, so a workplace romance is forbidden despite Jenn’s contractor status. And when a mysterious woman from Miles’s past comes to town, things get complicated. Miles isn’t accustomed to opening up, and Simone Niehaus infuriates him so much he just shuts down. He will never forgive her, even if his mother’s death wasn’t really her fault. But trust is shattered between Miles and Jenn, and soon his company is imploding. Simone Niehaus is set on destroying him, and he won’t let Jenn get caught in the crosshairs no matter the cost. The couple faces several challenges, but they eventually find their happy ending.

Miles and Jenn’s story is another good addition to the Bossy Seattle Suits series. Pinnacle Point is a quiet community and is dependent upon tourism for its survival. Miles made a home for himself there years ago and has no intention of leaving. His parents spent a great deal of time on the island, too, and these days, those memories are precious. Miles struggles with forgiving himself for how things played out, but he cannot seem to get past it. He finds painting to be therapeutic, and he spends much time in front of the canvas. But once the redheaded beauty moves in next door, the landscapes no longer satisfy him. Meanwhile, Jenn struggles with her attraction to Miles. She knows how badly he wants to buy her property, so she questions his intentions. Things eventually get personal between them, yet there is still so much that separates the couple.
There are a few issues that merit mention. *Spoilers* First, Jenn has the opportunity but fails to grab a change of clothes one evening, then she shows up at work in the same clothes the next day. That is tacky enough, but given the no fraternization rule, it is careless. Second, that no fraternization rule seems to fizzle. Miles is careless with it, and even if there is some grey area, it is questionable. Nothing ever comes of it, though. Third, Jenn really outs her relationship with Miles when she shows up at the office making demands. She oversteps. Honestly, it was entirely unprofessional in addition to making her relationship with Miles obvious. Not only was it disrespectful to Miles, she was also disrespectful to his assistant, Louise, by putting her in an untenable situation and risking her own job. I didn’t like it. She showed up for personal reasons, and they should have been kept separate from work. Miles had every reason to push her away given her uncalled-for intrusion. After the fact, though, the focus is on his action, not her own. Fourth, Louise threatens to call security one minute then the next shares confidential information. It didn’t feel authentic. Fifth, there is a reference to sunset that clearly should be sunrise, causing some confusion and double-checking. Sixth, it felt overly dramatic for Miles to deny his past relationship with Simone. There was no reason for it. And the scene where he pushes Jenn away feels over the top and unnecessary as well – particularly since he makes to effort to make amends at the end of the day. Certainly, both advance the plot, but it is weak. Seventh, Miles makes a call that was would have been very ill-advised legally, but he only seems to understand that later in the story. For a CEO, his action is surprising. Eighth, the PI’s are a joke. It is hard to buy into the fact that they have done so poorly. Ninth, I could hardly believe it when I read that Miles destroyed certain paintings. I couldn’t see his character doing that. Finally, Jenn really goes overboard in the end with all her rejections. I would have expected her to have a real conversation at the least. I felt that she came down way too hard on Miles, given all that he was up against and her own poor judgment in Seattle.
Miles and Jenn’s story has it all – a cranky billionaire boss, a feisty heroine, plenty of steamy chemistry, and a mountain of trouble. Jenn inherits Bee Harbor Inn on a quiet island community, but she doesn’t care for the presumptuous man who lives next door. Miles’s dark past catches up to him, threatening to sweep Jenn up in his problems. Animal lovers will fall in love with Cookies and Cream – the two adorable Doberman Pinschers that Jenn inherited from her Grandmother, Lottie. The story is nicely written. It took me a while to get into this story, though. It wasn’t the characters. The story is not quite as tightly woven as other books by the author; there are some weak points. Still, it is a must-read for fans. Here, Piper’s bestie Jenn gets her own HEA with a growly Seattle billionaire. The characters are real and complex. They are written in first person. The POV alternates between Miles and Jenn. I rate this book four stars.
I received an advance copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I think the length of time it has taken me to complete this books shows how much of a struggle it was to just finish (6 months). Originally DNF but had to finish it for closure. Couldn’t get into it. Didn’t particularly love the characters. Don’t get me wrong they didn’t exactly have something wrong with them, I just personally thought that the way the story was told was dragged out to no end. Personally 3 stars feels like a push.
Can we please stop saying the heroine is independent, feisty or woman who “stands her ground” when clearly she’s the opposite when it comes to facing the hero? She became weak, pathetic and lost her self respect. He was being hot then cold, ghosting her and generally treating her like shit but that’s okay because he kissed you and suddenly everything’s forgiven. She’s treated like shit because she lets him.
One Bossy Offer is the grumpy-sunshine, enemies-to-lovers romance story between Jennifer Landers and Miles Cromwell. This book is the fourth book in the Bossy Seattle Suits series and can be read as a standalone. I always recommend readers to read this whole series from the beginning before reading the latest book, but I know that sometimes you get too excited to read the book that you don’t want to and that is exactly what I did. But if you wanted to read the series from the beginning you should start with book one, One Bossy Proposal. If you don’t have time to read all 3 books, you should at least read One Bossy Date. There are some character crossover cameos and scenes in this book, which I love. ❤️ I think that if you read at least One Bossy Date (book 3), you will see where Jennifer gets introduced and read about her bestie’s story, which will be reference in this book.
Jennifer “Jenn” Landers is grieving the loss of her beloved Gram and uprooted her life to Pinnacle Pointe, Washington. She plans to live out her Gram’s wishes of taking over the family inn, Bee Harbor Inn as well as her two ginormous fur babies. Jenn always had fond memories and a special bond with the town and inn that only her and her Gram had. So it came to no surprise that her family wants her to sell the inn and come back home instead of struggling to fix it up and live the small town life. She has no idea what she got herself in, but is determined to give it her best shot and make her Gram proud. She didn’t anticipate for her next door neighbor to try to buy the land and to be so bossy and pushy about it. When he offers her a deal she would be a fool to pass up, she has to decide if she will be able to work with that insufferable man with the strings attached or will she have to figure out a different way to pay for the repairs?
Miles Cromwell is the CEO of Cromwell - Narada Media and has taken time away from the Seattle office to enjoy the peace and quiet of Pinnacle Pointe. When his competitor is treading on his turf and trying to arrange a partnership of their two companies, he realizes that he needs to step up his game and figure out the motive behind this sudden need for the partnership. When his offer for the property next door is turned down, he realizes that he has to find another way to get the new owner to sell it to him so he figures he will kill two birds with one stone and offer her a job to help with his marketing problem and to figure out a way to get her to sell to him. His need for this land is controlling his actions and he has to make sure that he sticks to his plan and not mess it up. But little does he know how the need for the land seems priceless compared to the owner itself and his plans ultimately change as time goes on.
How Jenn and Miles meet is a funny and somewhat embarrassing meet cute and the two of them have a insta-love hate moment. The attraction is there with the sparks are flying, but these two started off on the wrong foot, which only adds fuel to the fire as enemies. And when they start to work together, their enemy status slowly changes to something like friends to lovers. It’s only when a certain playing card enters, that makes Miles realize what he really wants and the caveman in him wants to mark his territory and claim her as his own. These two are hot and cold with one another and the games they play make things complicated and blur the lines and intentions. But once they give into that pull and their need for one another, the fireworks go off. There are steamy moments and smexy scenes that will get you all hot and bothered so have your fan ready. The word kitten definitely has a different meaning to me now after reading this book.
“You asked for a slow burn, Kitten. We’re just getting started.”
I absolutely love how the author has this amazing need to have nicknames in her books because I am all about nicknames and name calling. I couldn’t help myself laughing out loud at some of the names and things said in this book. See below for some lines from the book that I loved.
“Never imagined I’d have to read for the moon to convince this cactus-woman to sell.”
“I should have known it was Dracula, one again demanding I invite him into my dumpster fire of a life.”
“….romance with an overgrown playing card.” 😂
There are no triggers in this book, but it does mention the loss of loved ones, grief, mental illness, and recreational drugs. There are no explicit details on these topics, but I just wanted to mention these in case. I recently lost a grandparent and this book hit close to home for me. Not going to lie, I teared up in this book and some moments really gripped my heart strings that made me think of all my loved ones that have passed before me.
I recommend One Bossy Offer to anyone, who needs a good rom com filled with steam and hilarious moments to get lost in. It’s the perfect book to go outside and soak up some rays. If you liked this book or this whole series, you should definitely check out Nicole Snow’s backlist. Another one of my fav series of hers is the Heart’s Edge series.
This book is available for pre-order so that means that it will be available on release day, March 9th so make sure you mark it on your calendar and one click it.
The book was too long for where the story ended. I loved the mysterious parts and of course the plot was good. A great reminder that you can find love after suffering loses.
Inheriting a bad-tempered boss brings the sweetest insanity in this roaring funny and shamelessly steamy grumpy-sunshine romance from Wall Street Journal bestselling author Nicole Snow. Grandma left me the life of my dreams with one ginormous catch. Miles flipping Cromwell. Workaholic king of grumps. Control freak. Older billionaire next door. We didn't exactly hit it off when he showed up with an offer to buy my land and my hyperactive dogs yanked my robe open right in front of him. I wish running him off my porch totally mortified was the worst part. But re-opening Washington's cutest inn gets crazy expensive. When Seattle's hottest crankyface bachelor comes knocking again, he has me cornered. This time with a high-paid job offer I can't refuse. I thought I was strong. I thought I could force a smile, work, and laugh off his rude demands. I thought I could ignore his obscenely good looks, his innuendo, his incendiary glares. Never once did I think he'd ambush me on a date with another man and take my soul with one jealous kiss. He's a walking contradiction. Hating him is easy. But falling recklessly in love with Miles and his heart-wrenching secrets? Oh, God. Will his final offer claim my heart or demolish me? A breath-stealing enemies-to-lovers epic! Feel your heart soar when a scowling suit remembers how to be human again as he goes all-in for the woman who stands her ground and has two adorable big dogs.

Will her love be enough to soften the past …
It has been a while since I read Nicole Snow, so when I got this opportunity with her upcoming release, I jumped on it.
I commiserated with Jenn for her loss, but still, I struggled a bit with her teen-like persona, at the time she was 15 years old (I know this age, I have one at home). Until she redeemed herself by acting stupidly but so out of love she will pursue Miles even when he pushes her back, thinking she would be able to help him without knowing where she would step in. The banter and bickering between them are so fun and entertaining when it is them butting heads but Jenn often acts like a teenager, lying to herself and others, playing with people’s feelings, and demanding instant answers when she herself tends to ghost you more often than never. I didn’t like she played with another’s heart because she was afraid of her own feelings, she should act on them or not but she does not add someone else into the fray.
While Oh My 😱, how I loved Miles, he is such a wounded bear, lashing out because he is in pain all the while being a real softy inside. Oh sure, he is flawed, so determined to protect everyone, he pushes them away and by doing so he hurts them. Until Jenn scratches his armor, but not enough at first. Until showing Miles how he has been wrong about them together, by not trusting her enough to open up the can of his past wounds, even if they are still very raw because of a pang of unwarranted guilt. He damaged what could be.
This is the thing with billionaire/office romances, they reach a pinnacle till everything goes spiraling down and a big groveling is in order. Here it comes with a twist and a big emotional lesson about life and love. 4 stars

I have been granted an advance copy by the author, here is my true and unbiased opinion.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

If you love enemies to lovers book with a grumpy sunshine then you have to read this book. This is the story of Jennifer Landers and Miles Cromwell. Jennifer is a girl who has lost her beloved Gram. Then she can come back home instead of having to fix the inn up and live in this small middle of nowhere town. What she didn't expect was her next door neighbor to come along and try to buy her land and be a super grouchy, arrogant man. Their first meeting is horrible and embarrassing but when he makes her an offer she can't refuse, she has to make up her mind if she can put up with him and the strings that are attached. Or, will she have to figure out another way to figure out how to pay for the inn repairs. Miles is the CEO of Cornewell-Narada Media and is away from the office and is seeking peace and quiet. However his work is about to get crazy and a demanded partnership has him realizing he needs to step up his game. When he offers to buy the land next door to his he never expected to meet a fiery sassy woman but he needs that land he decides to kill two birds with one stone and offer her a job she can't refuse helping with a marketing problem he can't solve and meanwhile figure out a way that he can get her to sell him her property. While getting the land is his driving force he soon realizes the land that seems priceless to him isn't anything compared to the woman who owns it. But will she feel the same way about him? Well, you have to read to find out. I can't tell you. But I can tell you that I loved every single second of this book. Fell really hard for these characters and the charming little town they live in. It is funny and will have you laughing out loud. You will be hooked on the story from the very beginning and not be able to lay this book down. Plus this is a story about two character's that will stick with for forever.
Insta-enemies with slow burn sparks that incite an inferno I love getting wrapped up in Nicole Snow books and One Bossy Offer (Seattle Suits Book 4) is no exception. Jenn and Miles get off on the wrong foot from the get go and the antagonism between these two just avalanches! It's a wild, untamed, unchecked match of wits, barbs and determination. Once again I find myself beginning my review before finishing. I'm only three chapters in and I'm already ensnared and enthralled so much that jotting my thoughts down as I go is a must. These characters are just that engrossing to read! Not to mention the beginnings of the plot and I just know the interactions between Jenn and Miles is going to increase right along with the tension and chemistry. I'm on pins and needles with the anticipation! Now that I have finished reading, all my earlier thoughts were spot on! The tension between the characters as well as the building suspense of the plot(s) is magnificent! Not once did I lose interest at any time. You could say I was held captive in the very best ways! The antagonism this couple faces is both outward and from within. Miles lets the guard down on his heart, but not with his trust. Jenn is all in, open and honest, trusting and bursting with happiness and love. This bossy grump Billionaire is absolutely swoon worthy with his sweet, dirty talk and eventual loss of control when it comes to Jenn. As Miles and Jenn become enamored of one another, the overwhelming feeling of doom, the inevitable other shoe to drop is hovering, waiting to detonate like napalm. The implosion is imminent, but even heartbroken, neither Jenn nor Miles can stop thinking about or missing each other. In fact, Jenn even goes above and beyond. In the aftermath, Miles is truly persistent and with every intention of winning Jenn back. His goal is forever and nothing will stop him, not even Jenn's consistent refusal. But Miles last act of groveling, stole my heart. It was personal to both of them, put together wholly with Jenn in mind and sweet beyond measure. Miles was wrong, which drove them apart, but this last effort stole my breath and made me see floating hearts. Overall, even though desperate actions begat devastating heartbreak, determination followed up with a heartfelt plea is frantically made for a second chance to make everything whole once again. Miles worked hard to mend Jenn's broken heart and it's clear this couple is meant to be. Ms. Snow is master storyteller, beginning to end and I absolutely love the HEA ending as it paints a beautiful, promising, loving and fulfilling future. I read an ARC of this book and voluntarily share my review.
I've read most of the books Ms. Snow has written and this is only the third book I've given a 1 or 2-star rating. I usually love her books. In fact, the last book I read by her, "No Fair Lady," I had this to say in my review: Stunning, incredible, breath-taking, masterpiece.
I don't know what this book is. It seems as if someone trained an AI ChatGPT on her prior books and asked it to write something that sounds like she wrote it. There are parts of the book structure and dialogue that sound like her writing. And then long sections that are just baffling. The dialogue is wooden and awkward, it reads like a low-budget soap opera or fanfic. The characters are unidimensional and both completely annoying. They don't have good chemistry. They are both emotionally labile and go from affectionate to angry and attacking each other in a heartbeat. They're both petulant and immature. The whole side plot with his parents and former GF/rival is overly dramatized by all of them. I usually read a book in 1-2 days but this took me 5 days because it was boring and just a tough slog to get through. I almost stopped reading multiple times, but I usually love her work so I kept plugging along thinking it might get better. It never did.
I strongly suspect that this book was rushed to publication because of deadlines when another round of edits could have brought this up to par with this author's usual level of work. I'm not going to stop reading her books because she usually writes interesting and engaging books with great characters and compelling storylines. Everyone's allowed a dud now and then. However, I do ARC reviews for about 5 best-selling authors, and they've all had times when they had to push a publication date up because they just weren't satisfied with the book and wanted to do more edits. I always respond the same - take your time. Better to put out something you feel happy with than just meet a deadline because it's there. I would say the same about this book - more editing and later publication would likely have made a big difference.
Edited to add - I just read another book that is also by an author I have previously enjoyed and while that book is better than this one, it suffers from the same flat characters, incompletely developed plot and general lack of spark and interest. That's two in a week, and I've read some others recently that were also less than what I expected of people I've read a lot. I cannot help but wonder if folks got behind on their writing during the pandemic, for various reasons, and succumbed to pressure to publish. There are just too many occurrences where I'm reading and going, "what???" Take your time. Push the publication date. I would rather wait another year than spend several days reading a frustrating book.
To my delight, I was happy Nicole wasn’t done with this world. When I saw her email about this book, I whooped with joy because I wasn’t done with these stories and to find out she had another one under her sleeve and coming out in 2 weeks, I was floored. It was so unexpected. This world continues to keep me hooked and impress me. I was so excited about it I stopped in the middle of a series just to read it. Each book the hero continues to be grumpier and lost to the feeling of love, making them this cold, no nonsense person who digs themselves into work and their legacy. Miles was no exception to this and he carries this persona throughout the first half. I say half because once Jennifer comes around, all bets are off, he is done for and falling though he tries to fight it. This is nothing new and it always seems to happen in the second half of Nicole’s books, but also in general too, though sometimes authors push it out longer. Nicole manages to add drama to this story that ends up reoccurring throughout the book. You think things are all good and going well until a shoe drops, then another. It kept me on my toes, but it also kept Miles on his toes too and what ends up holding him back from fully trusting Jennifer and giving all of himself. However, each time I got closer to the end, Miles’ walls go down a little more each time. What was cool about this story is that we learn about Miles as Jennifer does. We don’t really get an in into his past until he finally tells her, or rather she finds out. While this was annoying as a reader, I can see why Nicole wrote it this way. She wanted us to agonize over it like Jennifer was and make assumptions as well as try to figure out the mystery ourselves. It made for a very enjoyable read and wanting to keep going. Add in the intense, heated, intimate moments between the two of them and you get an amazing story. I loved these parts of the book specifically because this was where you witness Miles completely losing himself in Jennifer and feeling, emotionally and physically. He lets go and so does she. I love this about all these romance books I read, but for whatever reason this story and a few others have been able to showcase this so beautifully and intensely. Not only did it make me swoon, but it also got me fanning myself too. This was a good one, and I love how it was written, deserving of the 5 stars. I can’t wait to see how the next one goes
Jennifer Landers has lost her Grams (Lottie). She really connected with this woman and now she is gone… except, from the grave, she is giving Jenn a chance to live the remarkable life that Grams had. On Pinnacle Pointe, a beautiful, tranquil small town Grams built a life for her family, built and ran Bee Harbor a B & B, and became an intricate part of the community. Grams left Jennifer this magical though totally rundown property. Jen left behind her unfulfilled but successful career and plans to run the Bee Harbor. Gram also left Jenn with two rambunctious Dobermans, Coffee and Cream. They are totally adorable and full of mischief. Miles Cromwell is a loaner. He is a big bad CEO for his family’s billion-dollar company Cromwell-Narada. But he spends as much time living in his paradise on Pinnacle Pointe. Miles loved his next-door neighbor Lottie Risa, she understood him, was his only friend, and now she’s gone. Lottie left him a note telling him that her Granddaughter Jennifer would probably want to sell the property and if he wanted to buy it….and he did, he should move fast. Gram also left Jenn a note telling her the history of the property and her hopes that Jenn would want to re-invigorate the bed and breakfast and live there. Such a crafty little old match-making lady! To Jenn, Miles comes off as a pushy bossy HOT rich guy and that ignites her snarly side. These two are like two bulldogs constantly going after each other. Jenn goes toe to toe with Miles. She is the force of nature Miles needs in his life. He doesn’t communicate with people he just demands and never explains. In addition, he has been burned by a really bad relationship and suffers from guilt and the fear of being taken again. Miles doesn’t trust himself with the feelings he has for Jenn. This is a VERY LONG story with lots of angst. I love Miles and Jennifer and was cheering for them from the beginning. The community of Pinnacle Point from Nicole Snow‘s descriptions sounds so wonderful, and Gram sounds like the perfect Grandma to have. I LOVE THIS SERIES! I received a free advanced copy of this story from Booksprout and am happy to share my opinion. Linda
OMG! To say I love this story is an understatement! What a ride! I am not going to spoil it, but this is one Fantastic Read! Every time I read Nicole Snow’s romance books, I know I am in for an emotional rollercoaster.
ONE BOSSY OFFER is a smoldering, slow burn, enemies-to-lovers romance that will have you hanging on to every word because it is the perfect catalyst for love, and devouring every chapter! I found myself at times laughing and other times swooning over the handsome, sexy, dirty talking, and grumpy Miles. You simply won’t be able to get enough! This story is fun, witty banter, embarrassing hilarious situations, and moments of heartbreak. This is Miles Cromwell and Jennifer (Jenn) Landers’ story.
Miles Cromwell is a billionaire extraordinaire who is a workaholic and the CEO of Cromwell-Narada Media Company, and he is the type of man every woman desires and longs to have. Miles thinks that money can buy anything, but what he doesn’t count on is being told ‘NO’ from a feisty, sassy, and beautiful redhead living next door to him at Pinnacle Pointe when he offers to buy her property. Miles and Jenn are complete opposites. Things go downhill from there until Miles finds out what Jenn does. Jenn inherited her grandmother’s bed and breakfast when she passed, but the place needs plenty of work. In order to help fix a problem in his company, Miles offers Jenn a consulting job to help fix the place, but there is a caveat of why he is willing to help Jenn. From the first day Miles encounters Jenn at her grandmother’s B&B, they become archenemies—until they weren’t. Miles is enamored with Jenn, and their chemistry leaps off the page. Their battle of wits is tremendously fun—acerbic and sensual and filled with tension. Everything about Miles and Jenn seemed too good to be true, but none of that mattered until a situation turns Jenn’s idyllic life upside down. If FUN is what you are after, look no further—read ONE BOSSY OFFER! Their journey is intoxicatingly quirky, perfectly paced, and all around fun. This is a book I can reread over and over again. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This book was more than just Enemy to lovers. This had office romance, sexy neighbor, grandmother interference, grumpy billionaire and sunshine. From their first meet, they were enemies. Jennifer recently inherited an inn from her grandmother and just moved into the new inn. This was sentimental to Jenn and her grandmother and she was determined to fix up everything and run it just like she did. When Miles knocks on her door to offer to buy the Inn, their argument starts. Ever since he offer to buy her inn, he was her #1 enemy. He was grumpy, arrogant, obnoxious yet handsome and drool worthy. Not she has another reason to not sell. Miles was sure he could buy the inn with offer nobody would refuse except her new neighbor just did. He couldn't believe previous owner's granddaughter was gorgeous red head. He would have to figure out a way to buy her so he could have his land. Now Jenn and Miles keeps running into each other and they argues over everything and anything. When Miles wants to hire Jenn for ticktock consultant. He offers so much she couldn't refuse. Their chemistry sizzles from beginning but work plus other things get in their way. After couple of scorching kisses after, Miles sends mix signals and confuses Jenn. Will they or won't they?? Plus Miles have a crazy ex who would do anything to get him back and his reluctance to reveal his true feelings to Jennifer. It would cost so much for him. It was fun from the beginning to the end. Miles and Jennifer's banters are hilarious and funny and those two dobermans too cute. Their chemistry is off the chart and steamy. Nicole Snow's books are lengthy but it has everything and give you a happy feel after reading.

“One Bossy Offer” is an enemies-to-lovers, grumpy-sunshine, sexy neighbor next door story by Nicole Snow. It’s the fourth book in the ‘Bossy Seattle Suits’ series of slightly interconnected standalone stories. If you’re familiar with any of the other books that came before this one, you’ll enjoy the cameos and cross references of some characters and locations.
Jennifer inherits her grandmother’s old B & B with all the wonderful memories it holds for her, and all the expensive repairs it will need if Jennifer wants to bring it to life again. When her grandmother’s neighbor, Miles, knocks on the door and offers are an outrageous amount of money to buy the place, they instantly become adversarial. Jenn is a marketing professional, and he is the owner of a media empire. When he offers to hire her to coordinate a media boost for the town they both love, the tension and the attraction becomes even wilder.
This is not a quick read, fortunately, because you don’t want to let go of the characters at the end. They are both so multidimensional and interesting, and the way each grows because of the other is terrific. The dialogue and banter are top-notch. I also enjoyed the secondary characters, including the handyman who is also interested in Jenn, and the valet whose worked for Miles’ family since Miles was a child. There’s even a villain from Miles’ past who will make you want to reach in the book and shake her – or worse. Oh, and I forgot to mention the two giant Dobermans Jennifer also inherited! So much goes on in the story and it’s all entertaining. The ending was terrific and included a surprise that might make you cry, and one of the greatest grand gestures ever.

I received this ebook ARC, from the author, on the condition that I write an honest review. I have loved every book written by Nicole Snow, and this one did not fail. This author has the ability to write couples that are imperfect but perfect for each other. This book had so many emotions in it, like sadness, lust, love, and intrigue. Miles is a CEO of a company, and has gotten a hardened heart due to a previous experience with a vicious woman. He blames himself for the death of his mother, and is now dealing with a father suffering with Alzheimer’s. His life revolves around his business and his father. Jenn is an independent media expert, but is burned out of working in an office. She inherits her grandma’s house, but the house is falling apart. She does not have the funds to repair it, but refuses to sell it, especially to Miles, her grandma’s next door neighbor. Miles and Jenn get off on the wrong foot, when they first meet, and their exchanges just make the situation much harder to bear. After many expressions of insults and antagonism, their attitude begins to change, and a hidden relationship begins. There are so many complications in their relationship that Miles accidentally breaks up with Jenn. Their feelings are both hurt while they suffer the loss of each other. Lies are spread about Miles dad, he is under stress, but Jenn and her best friend find the solution to a complication of a very devious set up to destroy Miles. After many weeks apart, Miles comes to Jenn to apologize, but he has to work very hard for her forgiveness, but eventually he does succeed. The story ends in a beautiful, heartfelt HEA.
Another fantastic story in the Bossy Grumps series. In this one we meet Miles and Jenn. Her friends call her Jenn, he has to call her Ms Landers~~until he slips and calls her kitten. She calls him Dracula, he's beyond bossy and a true workaholic. And gorgeous!!
He's also the grumpaholic who lives next door to her recently inherited B&B, Bee Harbor. Who also carries treats in his pockets for her gram's Doberman's, Coffee and Cream. Who also wants the property that she is not interested in selling. Jenn's gram is playing cupid from beyond the grave and they haven't realized it yet. These two have some obstacles to overcome and we get to enjoy the ride as they do. Some personal and business nastiness is trying to cause new problems for them. He is doing everything he can to keep her safe and out of it, even if it means that he stays away from her. Jenn's parents are being difficult also, they don't want her to keep the property because they believe its a money pit. What they have done is underestimate just how much Jenn loves the place and is determined to do everything in her power to get it up and running again.
So much fun banter from these two and Coffee and Cream keep them on their toes. These dogs are wonderful and a big part of the story. I always hate to finish these books because I just love to get lost in the characters and the wonderful story revolving around them. Nice to have a bit of Pippa and her grumpaholic Brock make an appearance in this story. Fantastic book, full of wonderful characters and a small town along a beautiful coast. Another 5***** read that I enjoyed from start to finish and can't wait for the next great book from Nicole Snow.
When her grandmother passes, Jenn inherits her house in Pinnacle Pointe. To the disappointment of her parents, she leaves a great paying job to take over the property that was once the Bee Harbor Inn. This is a great opportunity for Jenn, not only is she carrying on her grandmother's legacy, she is honoring her wishes. The Inn holds of lot of memories for her, and the view of the ocean is amazing. It's peaceful and so different from Seattle, that is until her neighbor decides he wants to buy the property and gives her a very generous offer. Jenn's parents would love for her to sell and be rid of the headache of trying to restore such an old house. Does no one believe she can handle the Inn and restore it to the beauty it once was? Miles Cromwell, Jenn's handsome, arrogant, millionaire neighbor desperately wants Jenn's grandmother's land, so much so that he offers her a job. He needs her on his side if he is to develop any kind of working relationship which might possibly lead to the purchase of her land. But flirtatious behavior and jealousy lead to confusion, and soon Jenn begins to wonder if Miles is truly interested in her or is it really just about her grandmother's land.
A well written, fantastic addition to the Bossy Seattle Suits series! Between the flirting and mixed signals, this story has an intense slow burn that quickly ignites into flames!!! I could not put it down and I can't recommend this series enough!!! An absolutely, fantastic read!!!
