When Jessica’s husband asks for an open marriage she’s devastated and doubting herself until… she connects with a burly woodworker named Jacob. While her husband seeks assurance that he’s not an asshole on Reddit, she gives him what he wants and checks out the dating scene.
Jacob’s undivided attention and lavish praise unlock her libido. She quickly discovers that she’s not as shy as she thought, and nothing turns her on more than the thrill of almost getting caught. Whether it’s in a stairwell or visible through windows, she can’t get enough of being on display.
Join Jessica in this erotic romance as she navigates her newfound exhibition and praise kinks.
As her confidence grows, both men become more possessive of her. Will she ditch her husband and commit to Jacob or continue to enjoy attention from multiple men?
Jacob/Ryan & Jessica- Her husband decides he wants an open marriage and at first she is upset about it but she meets Jacob and they hit it off. On their first date they go out to his car and they go down on each other. His dirty talk is pretty damn good and the first sex scene make this book promising. Kinda in to these indie authors and how short the stories are. Praise and dirty talk and texts, I'm down. The husband Ryan sees the error of his ways and wants to close the marriage bc he sees that she's going out with and likes another man, he gets jealous. But she really likes Jacob and doesn't want to stop seeing him. So now the husband is hustling to work an fix her marriage. I hate the idea of needing an open marriage and her meeting someone else to open his eyes. Jacob wants to be exclusive and he got man that she wont commit to him so he asked her to leave from the hotel they were staying at for their date. Ryan picked her up and they decided they are going to work it out together. Possibly keep their marriage open.

This needed another pass over from an editor. Several wing words used, at least one wrong name used, and the preaching was a bit choppy.
I loved the premise of a lackluster marriage, a husband who thinks he is enough of a catch to sleep with other women no problem, and a wife finding her sexual second wind. Im interested enough to see where things go in book 2, but it’s not something I’d re-read.
***spoiler Dude wants an open marriage but then gets butt hurt when his wife gives in and starts dating. Both men get possessive and she has trouble deciding what to do when her husband wants to call off the open marriage and close it and the new guy jacob
Jessica is married to Ryan when randomly one day he says he wants an open relationship. She goes out with Jacob and has a great night. She continues to have a great night until Ryan gets jealous. Both guys want her for themselves but who will win.
This was a steamy quick novella. I would love to see the story continue.
I liked the book but the possessiveness was middle ground for me. I either want an overly possessive partner or no possessiveness at all. The end of the story was very mid for me and i could’ve done without. I hate to leave a bad review but IDK if I would read this again if I had the chance. The spice wasn’t bad however the story line didn’t sit right with me.
Sigh… I was expecting more. It wasn’t a terrible book, I’d actually give it 3.5⭐️ and definitely give it 3.75 for 🔥. The steamy scenes did not disappoint. I just wish there was a bit more of a wrap up of Ryan and Jessica’s story/relationship. I understand there is a book 2, so to be fair, that might give me more of what I was looking for?either way, it was still a good steamy novella!
I was quite ready to give this a much higher rating, but the ending really ruined the entire story. For the sake of a neat and quick ending, we get a character assassination so that the asshole husband can be made to appear the better man. Seriously?
Ugh. Regardless, the spice is heavy and very well done. The story was good up until her third date.
Let me start by saying she's a bigger person than I am. I would have told my husband to go fuck himself. Lol he's an immature selfish brat. I did enjoy seeing him learn to appreciate her at the risk of losing her. Jacob seemed great but something was off to me. And she seemed a bit too open too fast. Or was well written though and sexy
FR I wanted her to leave Ryan even if she didn’t end up with Jacob. Jacob sounded great but ended up being just as problematic/toxic. Ryan only realized what he had with his wife when she took him up on the open marriage ultimatum and then didn’t seal the deal with the co-worker like he was so keen on doing. Even with therapy he just gives me the ick.
This was a short 5🌶️ read with a simple plot-open marriage. I liked the banter and the dual POV as well as his venting on Reddit. This would have been a great prequel to a larger novel but I felt the ending fell flat and I personally think she could have grown more as a character.
this was a fun and different novella. I liked the POVs it was written in. I just felt like I needed/wanted more form it and the ending was not expected and definitely a boring ending in comparison to the rest of the book.
This is a great introduction to the erotica genre. This novella was also written beautifully and in one POV. I’d def recommend if you like equal parts plot, erotica and need a pallet cleanser book. Sort of a cliff hanger for the ending tho!
Lord have mercy. I kinda want more story though in what happened with characters especially the husband and his ridiculous Reddit profile. No spoilers.
this was actually so good. the spice was really great, just lacking in some areas. the husband was a total douchebag in the beginning and even slut shamed her for being with another guy when it was HIS IDEA!
it’s about a husband who decided to open his marriage because he has a crush on a coworker and thinks his wife is boring. the wife actually ends up getting a boyfriend while the husband gets no side action. they start working on their marriage while she’s with the side piece and eventually things don’t work out with the guy and her and her husband end up happy together.
