Rate this book
Benjamin Sapphire is tall, dark, handsome, and very rich. He’s ex-military who lost more than friends while in combat; he lost a part of himself, literally. Wealth, good looks and his irresistible charm provide a revolving door of women in his bed. Finding someone to help fill the black hole that was once his heart is another story.
Until he meets her…

Jill Baldwin is not just beautiful, blonde, and brilliant; she’s a ball buster. She knows who she is and what she wants, and won’t settle for anything less. She’s worked her ass off to open one of the hottest spa’s in the city and is enjoying the spoils of her success. Men, especially the tall, dark and rich ones, are messy and only cause pain, so she’s sworn them off.
Until she meets him…

The Ultimate Bid is the third and final installment of the Auction Series, and features Benjamin Sapphire, big brother to Andrew Sapphire, our alpha in books one and two of the series. Read the conclusion to experience Ben finding his happily ever after.

Drew and Hannah start off this book and it's with a bang. Drew is instantly drawn to her and she feels the pull to him as well. Only Drew screws up and then when he finds her, she turns him away. She has her secrets and she's not ready for anything more. But Drew permits and wears her down, until she talks with his brother, Ben.

The third book is Ben and Jill. This couple, wow incredible chemistry but both think they're too broken for love. Only they forget that love doesn't care how you see yourself, it only sees what the heart wants.

Absolutely incredible series! Loved every second of it.

damaged hero

I fell in love with Benjamin. He was damaged and so sad, due to deployment in military and the horrors he had seen. She was damaged in a different way, in her heart. When these two get together, they become a balm and comfort for each other. Side effects are fantastic sex encounters.

I enjoyed this story more than the duology Drew and Hannah. Drew, as messed up as he proclaims to be, seems to be a bit more mature than his brother, and handles his issues with Jill much better.
Romance and sex rating are both 5. The story is good, the characters are good. Adding this author to my watch list.

I was so glad to got to read Ben's story! He was so likeable in the first two books. I loved getting to see his romantic side. He fell hard and FAST for Jill. The insta-love connection worked so well here and it was WRITTEN so well. I am in love with Michelle Windsor's writing.
