Didn't work out for me. I'm going to go ahead and throw in the ridiculous things that happened, so consider this review as being a spoiler.
Maci (19, virgin, stupid twat) gets in a car with a drunk friend. They crash into a gas station and the car ends up exploding. After the cops arrive to the scene, they pull their guns on her and immediately arrest her for destruction of property. LMFAO because sure. Since Maci's parents are dead, she has no choice but to call her godfather, who she hasn't seen in years, and he lives in Greece. Nikolaos (40-ish, mafia boss) flies out to help his goddaughter and quickly realizes she's grown into a hot girl. After he picks her up from jail, she proudly claims, "You're not my daddy! I don't need a babysitter! I can take care of myself!" because she's done a great job so far, and what better way to prove your maturity than to throw a tantrum.
He drops her at her house and then he goes to a hotel and they both get their own lengthy chapter describing their masturbation session and the fantasy played out in their head. That's useless in my opinion. If you're not actually have the sex, then I don't want to read about it! Anyway - Nik gets news that makes him return to Greece and he leaves Maci behind for 6 months. She gets kidnapped and taken to Greece. He finds her and she's handcuffed.... lucky for Maci, Nik happens to have a handy handcuff key in his back pocket that he keeps there "in case of emergency". WTF? LOL I just can't with that one. So, yada yada yada, he says "she's mine" about ninety times, he forces her to her knees and f*cks her face, then takes her virginity violently. She's loving it all. Then he makes her his mafia queen and she's now strategizing with him and proofing his legal documents because again - why not! I DNF'd at around 85%.
There is a ton of sex though - it's not the kind of sex I like, but sex nonetheless.

So I’ll freely admit that I decided to read this because I’m a hussy for the cover model 😍. I had decided not to read anymore Sara Fields because all the spanking is not for me but … 🤷, just look at him 🤤.
Anyways I liked the story except for the spankings which didn’t reflect in my rating because I knew going in there would be some. The problem for me was Maci going from a small town virgin fresh out of high school to a smart woman of the world able to handle political and business issues like a pro 🙄.
I also couldn’t repeatedly help wondering how she resolved her birth control issue when it suddenly became a non issue. It distracted me from the sexy scenes 😆.
Anyways, what I’ll take from this is hopefully seeing that hot model on many more books 😊❤️.

Oh my, hang on and hold on this is one crazy ride make sure to double check that you are buckled up, dangerous men, alpha’s personified, possessive, oh, gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a story consisting with three D’s (dark, delicious, and dirty) 😊. There will be suspense, betrayal, death, darkness, secrets reveled, violence, hope, forgiveness, and maybe even love along the way. Maci is such a sweetheart raised by her grandmother after the death of her parents when she was really young, but her grandmother died of cancer not to long ago, she was taught to follow the rules, do as she is told, but one party is all it took for to get into trouble after being arrested she calls her godfather who she hasn’t seen since her parents died and that he is her biggest supporter. Nikolaos sexy as all get out head of the Kaligaris shipping dynasty know all over the world he has kept his sweet girl hidden out of protection because he deals with legal as well as not so legal groups like different mafia groups (yep, more than one) but everything is about to change now she needs him he isn’t going to let her down. The magnetic pull between them is too strong to ignore but there was no denying the fact that their chemistry and passion take them to another level yes he is extremely controlling but he does it out of the need to keep her safe but will she just comply, will she give him a run for his money, will he be able to protect her, and where are they headed?

Forbidden, romantic, & incredibly sexy
Gather your iced drink before you start this one. It has got to be my favorite Sara Fields book to date! While Nikolaus is overbearing and controlling at times, it was all to protect Maci. As for Maci, she was defiant and tough on the outside, yet quite vulnerable and just wanted to be loved. Especially after loosing both her parents and her grandmother. The push and pull of these two trying to resist each other when there was no denying the fact that their chemistry and passion would eventually explode was mesmerizing to witness. I truly enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a sexy, age-gap romance between a conflicted and dominate man and his defiant and innocent ward. But then again, isn't that what we've come to expect from Ms. Fields?

I wish I had DNFd this book. Spoilers up ahead.
My main reasons for not liking this book in no particular order:
1.) It takes place in Greece and not a single character speaks Greek. There aren’t even any pet names in Greek.
2.) FMC is kidnapped, brought to Greece, and rescued by MMC. Two rival mafia families and a government official are out to get MMC yet they didn’t think to try to deport FMC for being there illegally? Okay.
3.) This book is listed as a mafia, yet MMC vehemently states that he is not mafia.
4.) Virgin FMC loses her virginity by her godfather (MMC) SAing her (don’t @ me, I know it’s called non-con because she’s wet when you get her POV).
5.) The pacing? Three chapters back to back take placed sequentially. Then it jumps to week in the next and 3 weeks the following? And don’t get me started about on chapter that has a week jump in it.

But Antonios decided to double-cross him with Alexander Pappas the heir the Pappas crime family to kidnap Maci and bring her to Greece to use her as leverage against him to ensure that there deal go through. But Nikolaos second in was Andreas intercept the shipping container with Maci inside. Nikolaos was livid because now she's in his world. Maci is defiant, intelligent, sassy, fierce and innocent. She had been having impure thoughts about her godfather from the first time she saw him and vice-versa. When Nikolaos tells Maci that she now had to stay in Greece with indefinitely she was livid and decided to sass him which resulted in a round of harsh spanking, savage and intense rough fucking that tilt her world on it's axis and created a world of craving for more. Forbidden, romantic, and incredibly sexy—Nikolaos and Maci's relationship will set your book/e-reader on fire. This is my favorite recent Sara Fields book to date because of the way she redeemed Nikoloas and Maci's romance. I had initially felt conflicted about these two because of the way Nikolaos treated Maci in their first sexual encounter together. But through their many passionate and intense interactions, they grew on me. While Nikolaos continues to be overbearing and controlling at times, it was all to protect Maci and I respect that. As for Maci, I liked that she was a defiant, tough, but also vulnerable heroine who simply wanted to be loved. The passing of her parents and grandmother left her all by herself until she was reunited with Nikolaos years later. I enjoyed Nikolaos and Maci's attempt at resisting each other, but there was no denying the fact that their chemistry and passion set both of their worlds on fire.
In the end, Nikolaos and Maci's forbidden and dirty romance was everything I wanted and more. Despite being her godfather, there was never any familial bond between them. He was more of a distant family friend who took care of Maci after the passing of her parents. I loved that Nikolaos tried to be cold and distant at first but could not after experiencing such intense passion with Maci. I have to admit that although their first time made me uncomfortable, it was also incredibly hot. However, Maci was all onboard with his rough handling. This book does touch upon several tropes including age-gap, forbidden/taboo relationship, light dub/con, and guardian/ward. I truly enjoyed reading this book and highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a sexy age-gap romance between a conflicted and dominant man and his defiant, innocent, and beautiful ward.

Maci and her friend Ryan were involved in an accident and she is arrested. Maci had only one person she could call Nikolaos her godfather. Maci didn't know who her godfather really was. Nikolaos Kaligaris is the heir to the Kaligaris shipping dynasty, who has many enemies. His world is dangerous and he wants to keep Maci out of it. Nikolaos wants Maci to live a normal life. Nikolaos flies from Greece to get Maci out on bail and the best lawyers. He hasn't seen Maci since she was three-years old, now she is nineteen. He had been taking care of her from afar and supporting Maci financially for years. Nikolaos is needed back in Greece and then Maci is put in danger by his enemies. Nikolaos decides to take Maci to Greece, so she can be kept safe. Nikolaos and Maci try to resist each other, but their feelings and fantasies are so strong. He tries to be distant to help the situation, but there is too much chemistry. Love these two characters.

Mine is a dark billionaire romance that follows Maci Williams and Nikolaos Kaligaris.
Maci has been raised by her grandmother most of her life ever since her parents died when she was a toddler. Now at 19 she's on her own after her grandmother succumbed to cancer. She has always been straight laced, rule follower, over achiever but very naive. So when she agrees to have a party at her house of course bad decisions follow. When she's arrested the only person she can think to call is her godfather who she hasn't seen since her parents funeral. All she really knows about him is that he's been supporting her since the death of her parents.

While I enjoyed the overall story I must say I really disliked him most of the time particularly how he treated her so soon after her ordeal all while being upset with how others have treated her. It was as if it was all about his desires but not taking in her feelings. He did have some good things going for him especially how protective he was of her and how he finally came to see her as a force to be reckoned with.
The storyline has a little of everything from impulsive and foolish decisions, arrest, violence kidnapping, innocence lost, steamy sex, dominance, danger, murder, suspense and budding love.

She has always been straight laced, rule follower, over achiever but very naive. So when she agrees to have a party at her house of course bad decisions follow. When she's arrested the only person she can think to call is her godfather who she hasn't seen since her parents funeral. All she really knows about him is that he's been supporting her since the death of her parents.

A compelling read that is hot and sexy reading with a wonderful finale
When the phone call had come Nikolaos had not been able to believe that his god daughter who he had not seen since she was three at her parent’s funeral had managed to get herself in a great deal of trouble and she needed his help desperately.
He had always kept his distance because he knew that as much as he cared for Maci, he had to keep his distance and anonymity so that none of his enemies ever knew of his association with this young woman in America, they would be sure to use her as leverage and could quite possibly even kill her.
Leaving his most trusted man in charge and with the only one knowing of his goddaughter he had travelled to help her and had been completely unprepared for the feelings he had for his dearest friend’s daughter her. He knew that the feelings were real and not just a passing fancy but he knew that she also has some feelings for him as well.
However, is he brave enough to take the chance of bringing her into his world it would be a life she had never imagined but sometimes the heart will not be told no, also he knew that she would be safer under his protection rather than being left to her own devices.
Nikolaos knew that she was his and that he wanted to return with her to his home in Greece, any dissent will be harshly punished so that Maci knows who her master is and to want lengths he will go to keep her happy, healthy and safe in his dangerous world.
I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.

Mine is a super-steamy, OTT, age-gap, forbidden, girl gets her billionaire godfather dark romance. Maci is a 19 year old smart, someone innocent and sheltered 19-year-old taking a gap year from college. Nikolaos (Niko) is her hunky billionaire godfather who has supported her and her grandma (who raised her) financially since her parents died when she was a toddler. He lives in Greece and is the head of a shipping empire with a lot of enemies. Her grandma has now passed from cancer, so she is on her own. When she has a party and gets into trouble, she has to call Niko for help. He has not seen her since she was young and has tried to keep her away from his business. He flies in from Greece to bail her out and help legally. He has to return to Greece before everything is resolved. Regrettfully, his involvement now puts her in the spotlight of his enemies. He forces her to stay in Greece for her protection. I have mixed feelings on this book...first, I pretty much love anything from Sara fields, and this is no exception. We have love, drama, danger, action, and, of course, a lot of hot, steamy, kinky sex with characters that have INSANE chemistry. But I pretty much HATED Niko for most of this book. While he is sexy, he treated Maci horribly in my mind until he somewhat redeems himself later in the book. I loved that Maci did get a backbone, and they did have chemistry. We ultimately end on a happy note, but this was quite the angsty rollercoaster ride for me.

Maci was a complete innocent until she made the mistake of getting into a car with a drunk driver. Ending up in jail resulted in her godfather, Nikolaos, having to come from Greece to get her out of trouble. He was not happy about this as he had always tried to keep her connection to him completely secret. A necessity for a Mafia leader with enemies that would love to get any leverage against him. Nothing went well initially and she did indeed end up being kidnapped and transported to Greece. Once there his mafia family again rescued her and he now had to protect her in his home. Now Niko is a ruthless, brutal, mafia boss and he treats Maci very roughly…. something it turns out she rather enjoyed! If you are looking for a sweet romance with tender loving care, this is not your book. However, if you like hard hitting action with belting discipline and brutally hard (and graphic) sex then you’re in for a truly entertaining story. The power imbalance in the beginning is huge but as the story progresses Maci’s intuitive intelligence, initiative and confidence results in a shift that no one saw coming but was beautiful in its delivery. A no holds barred story that will keep you engrossed and excited throughout. 5 Stars

I am a fan of this author, but this book raised red flags for me. I had to put the book
down on several occasions as it stirred up emotions, but I'm glad that I persisted and
finished reading the book. I didn't like how Nikolas took Marci’s innocence so brutally.
Nikolaos was outraged at how badly others had treated Mari, but I feel he treated her
harshly himself. His own needs were more important, and he didn't try to resist her for long.
On the positive side, Nikolaos was protective, and Marci’s safety was paramount. He filled a void in her life that had been missing. Nikolaos was heir to the Kaligams Shipping dynasty and had ties to the Greek and Italian Mafia. To keep Marcia safe, he had to marry her.
One out-of-character random act of foolishness saw Marcia in jail, and her life changed forever. Her much older fairy godfather came to her rescue, but his efforts to keep her safe failed once again Nikolaos came to her rescue.
I enjoyed this story once I overcame the initial sex scene between Marcia and Nikolaos. It was exciting, high energy, and fast-paced. As the story unfolded the age difference between this couple faded into the background and there was a satisfying conclusion.

This book is the best one so far that had everything that I love it was sexy, raw, hot and steamy, drama, action, kidnapping, BDSM and so much more that will take you on a wild ride. Maci Williams has just graduated from high School and is now alone after her grandmother passed away but her Godfather Nikolaos has been looking after them both since she lost her parents and now he is here to help her but he brought trouble with him and now they have taken her. Nikolaos Kaligaris is a family friend and Godfather to Maci who has been supporting her and her grandmother after she lost her parents but now she is all alone and so he comes to Pennsylvania to help her out but he isn’t alone his enemies have followed him and now know who and what she means to him so they kidnap her but he gets her back unharmed but she isn’t safe anymore and he takes her back to Greece to keep her safe. But by living together there burning attraction for each other boils over and a hot and steamy relationship begins. How does it all work out in the end I’m not going to tell you but there is so much more in this book that’s scorching hot that will keep you on your toes.

This was just awful. It needs a full on content editor for the wording, pacing, long run on overly descriptive sentences and scenes. The writing is so cliched and just overall awful. The characters aren't likable, they are beyond insta love. Everything happens so quickly without ANY character, scene and relationship building. There was nothing sexy about the sex scenes and nothing really intimate. The descriptors of the acts were flat and boring.
The word "had" was misused and overdosed on throughout the book. Example of one of the many mistakes "I'd had" I'd means I had. So I'd had is I had had. Honestly that was the least of the problems. Highly Recommend hiring a content editor for the story, pacing & plotting issues and also someone who can help with grammar & the over use of a thesaurus and non-stop flowery word salad descriptions.
I didn't realize when this book was recommended to be in my kindle app based on my similar reads, that I read this Author before and DNF'd her book The Wolf, as well. I will not be continuing on with this author's works going forward.

This was horrible...
I like kink, just like the next girl, but this book was absolutely atrocious.
I couldn't even finish this book. Look, I have no problem with the alpha male caveman possessiveness. I think it's super sexy, but this guy... he was abusive, and he pretty much raped her.

The first time they had sex, it wasn't just sex. He introduced her to punishment with a belt. And not just a few smacks with a belt. I'm talking about thighs, the underside of her butt all the way to the top. Over and over and harder each time. He didn't try to soften the blows by caressing her. Nope, he just went straight to rough sex, didn't ask her, just forced her. The author tried to play it off like she liked it, but there's no way. The part that I could not stomach was that she was a virgin, when he figured it out, he didn't try to make it softer... nope, he was more punishing. He used her like a ragdoll. It was absolutely vicious.
I couldn't finish the book. It was too much, and I've read some kinky, steamy stuff, but this wasn't steamy. This was just plain degrading. Never again will I read another book by this author.

I was really enjoying the beginning of this one but the sex happened way too fast, there was no build up or emotional connection between the MCs, the Hero was a total jerk for like 95% of the story and after reading the OTT, often times cold and super rough sex scenes, I knew this kind of kink isn’t for me.
The Hero does eventually warm up to the heroine towards the end, but it was a little too late for me. I need some softer emotions between the MCs, of love and devotion, not just OTT sex that goes on foreverrrrrrrrrrr.
The abrupt and obvious highlighting of Maci’s supposed business genius and overnight criminal mastermind thought process was a little too over played and I couldn’t honestly take any of it seriously.

There’s many things I disliked about the book-
1) The first time was basically sexual assault!! A womens body’s reaction to sex happens naturally without it being consensual and her eventually liking it still doesn’t make it ok!
2) If she was found by his associates after she was kidnapped why was she still handcuffed to a chair. The minute the good guys got her why wouldn’t they let her go like how much longer was she like that waiting for her Godfather to show up
3) The word mine was said 500 times! We get it she’s yours no one else’s but yours! Insert my eye-roll ever time and I was practically looking in the back of my head
4) If the word mine wasn’t said then it was faster/harder because you know the Virgin girl only likes it fast and hard!!
I’m sure she’d love it slow and meaningful as well but who knows I could be wrong!
5) How could the characters fall in love? They didn’t even know each other. All they talked about was business strategy that we’re made to believe that she’s a mastermind at!! The whole thing was far-fetched at best a joke at the least!
1) The first time was basically sexual assault!! A womens body’s reaction to sex happens naturally without it being consensual and her eventually liking it still doesn’t make it ok!
2) If she was found by his associates after she was kidnapped why was she still handcuffed to a chair. The minute the good guys got her why wouldn’t they let her go like how much longer was she like that waiting for her Godfather to show up
3) The word mine was said 500 times! We get it she’s yours no one else’s but yours! Insert my eye-roll ever time and I was practically looking in the back of my head
4) If the word mine wasn’t said then it was faster/harder because you know the Virgin girl only likes it fast and hard!!
I’m sure she’d love it slow and meaningful as well but who knows I could be wrong!
5) How could the characters fall in love? They didn’t even know each other. All they talked about was business strategy that we’re made to believe that she’s a mastermind at!! The whole thing was far-fetched at best a joke at the least!

Sara reels you in to a dark and forbidden romance!
I feel for Maci living on her own with no family left, so she has a gathering at her place with some friends trying to fit in. When Ryan whom she has a hidden crush on offers to take her somewhere, she says “yes”. To say the worst thing happened isn’t too far off and Maci finds herself calling Nikolaos, her godfather. Nikolas takes matters in to his own hands by calling in favors. He wants more than anything to level set Maci, but he is old enough to be her father. I love how the two learn to work together to handle the threats against them! This is the perfect, fated romance!

Unfiltered and unpopular opinion below:
Overall disappointed in how the book turns out. I understand and love OTT and Insta but the FMC's out of nowhere usefulness is annoying and ruins my enjoyment of the book. Especially the scene where she solves the "problem", like what???
I get wanting the FMC to be his equal but, she literally had no build up to it. Just all of a sudden after sitting in on a few meetings she is somehow able solve his "mafia" related problems. With solutions that he would have to be dumb as rocks to not know after being in this life his "ENTIRE LIFE!"
I really enjoyed the first part and thought it had a lot of potential but once the FMC's almost clairvoyant out of nowhere skills happened, I knew it was going downhill for me. Also I while this book has some Mafia related aspects its really almost all talk and no show.

Maci has a party at her house. That night she gets in the car with her drunk crush. The guy ends up crashing his car and she gets arrested. She calls her godfather Nikolaos for help. He flies there to help her. When Nikolaos sees her everything changes. The fire has been lit. What happens now?
Maci is such a sweet innocent girl at first. Nikolaos definitely brings dark and broody to a new level. I hate how when she takes a gap year that's when people want to hang out with her since she's seen as a rebel now. It's cute how the world stops when Nikolaos first sees Maci. What happened to Maci isn't right and I'm so glad Nikolaos's team found her. I'm not a fan of time jumps but it worked in this case. The ending was perfect.
What a wild ride this story was. All the twists and turns was epic. I'll definitely read more from Sara.

oh dear!
Fought extremely hard to finish this. Had to skip quite a lot of pages to do it. Usually the sex scenes because after a while they got rather repetitive and boring.
So long was spent with the MMC constantly telling us how much he shouldn’t want her that I was screaming, “alright!! We know! Enough already!!!!”
Then we watched as in a blink of an eye this seemingly naive, innocent, scared 19 yr old FMC went from that to some kind of mafia goddess, adept at scheming and conniving!!!!
On the scheme of it, it should have been a good tale but the delivery seemed strangely amateurish for this author. Long monologues, far too long, so long that you forgot the question that was asked at the beginning so when the answer came you were lost and had no idea what it referred to. A constant theme with this author and her books it seems.

Maci was raised by her grandmother after her parents died, until at nineteen she lost her as well. Maci has never been a rebel, always a rule follower until the night she agrees to have a party at her house. Things go bad and she is arrested and the only person she can think to call is her godfather, Nikolas Kaligaris. He runs the family's business in Greece, that he trying to turn completely legitimate. When he comes to help Maci, she abducted, she is not longer safe on her own.
