Two weeks later, Kelsey flees Miami, but that is a ploy to save lives; she dedicates her life to finding out what happened to Nicholas. Kaylie Hunter has written a gripping story, with information imperceptibly dripped in: the tale of a strong woman with secrets, and a soft centre. Kelsey runs an extremely successful secondhand-clothes shop, staffed mainly by innocent people on the run, or down on their luck, and guarded by a gang of lawless bikers, Devil’s Players. This book is so good! I started reading before bed and stayed up way too late because I couldn't put it down. As soon as I woke up in the morning I finished it.
The main character is a bad ass woman who has a heart of gold and surrounds herself with entertaining characters that you love just as much. The story is exciting and intriguing and will have you laughing and crying throughout.
I definitely recommend to anyone who loves interesting characters, hot men, mystery, adventure, and a heroine who is relatable, tough, and someone you would want to be your best friend. I've already downloaded the next book and can't wait to start it!

This book was non stop entertaining.

Wow! So glad I found this author. I read the 7 books in the series in 2 weeks and I wish there were 7 more. If you like a kick A heroine, lots of adventures, lots of laughs and drama, action, some romance, some sadness and just a really good read - you must check out this series. This author is so good that I felt like I knew these characters and liked most of them! Must be read in order... Enjoy!

Love strong heroines and Kelsey Harrison is one tough cookie but yet has a heart the size of Texas and an ingrained sense of justice to help those in trouble even when she is unable to fix her own heartbreaking past.
The author does a fantastic job of mixing a heroine along with at least 20 main secondary characters into the story and never at anytime does it feel to "busy". I loved all the characters and cannot wait to dive into the rest of the series.

Should have a warning label that you can't put it down!
I started this book early evening and could not put it down! What a strange, strong, bruised and bloodied bunch of characters! They were woven together so well I didn't want to read the last chapter because I didn't want it to end!

Layers upon layers.
Well constructed. So often it seems an author gets caught up with offshoots and I find myself wondering why is that sidetrack included. This author kept each storyline clear and coherent. And, wow, each storyline packs a punch. I loved the strong capable women, I appreciated how she could reach out to the "strays" and give a helping hand. Oh yeah, I got a real chuckle out of her "moneymaking" career!

outstanding
I adore this story. It is fast paced and riveting. The characters will steal your heart. Some scenes are tough to read, others are a joy. It is amazing that the story is so full and compelling and it all happens without pages of a blow by blow description of how to have a sexy time. I am captured and will be reading book 2 very shortly. I am looking forward to this whole series if this book is what the rest will be like. Enjoy.

Layered Lies
Good Book,when I read what the book was about,I thought it would have more to do with the kidnapping of the boy.. near the end of the book I skipped a few chapters, it was good at the beginning ,but the middle of the story,Referred to different characters.Got better near the end, but I was disappointed of the ending.

Wanted more
Was a bit dimwits the book. Turned out to be more about secondary information that never really worked for me. Everything in the story just didn't seem plausible nor did a lot of it make sense. Unfortunately, I don't think I will continue on in this series. I was really waiting for this book to take off but it never did for me.

Lot of Characters
Interesting but difficult to follow. There are many, many individuals to try to keep straight. May be a problem because of my age, but about a third of the way into the story I was wishing I had written down each person as they entered the story. Plot is fascinating.

Family
OMG! Such an awesome plot! It keeps you glued from start to finish! The characters are so believable that they become real to you! You will laugh, cry, rejoice, fight, and stand beside them [if you could! ) Her writing is so unique and powerful you feel their emotions; their pain, heartbreak, misery, agony, and fear!

Exciting and Unique
Excellent writing with superb use of words. The story evolves bringing the back story into the present. It’s exciting, bold and sensitive. The characters are all unique and fascinating. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, would recommend it and looking forward to the next book.

Our FMC here is the very definition of Mary Sue. She can do everything, absolutely EVERYTHING, and of course everyone loves her :) Despite all the trouble that happens to her, she always ends up winning, because, well, she can do everything :)

Fast and consuming
Well written, fast and completely consuming. Likeable, odd-ball characters who will tug at your heartstrings, no matter how small and fragile or big and brawny they are. I'm looking forward to reading more from Ms. Hunter.

This was the first book I’ve read by Kaylie Hunter and it won’t be the last. I was hooked from the beginning and I can’t wait to find out what happens next to Kelsey and her quirky but lovable family!

Five stars of enjoyment!
Loved reading this! The characters are so real, you get sucked in before you know it!
It’s fun, suspenseful, slightly sexy and a great read from page 1 to the end. I know I will now order the next book in this entertaining series.

What an intense yet enjoyable book. The way the author weaves the narrative keeps you on your toes wondering what is coming next. Excellent first book and highly recommend it. Am looking forward to reading the next one in the series.

Great characters and action
I love the characters in this book so much. I love seeing the way Kelsey puts her team/family together. There is constantly something going on in this book. I love all the action and the dialogue. A great start to this series!

OMG what A page turner!
This book kept me hooked. Each chapter was a delight in its own and the entire story was gold. It kept me laughing, crying, rooting for Kelsey the whole way through.

This is one of the best book I have read in a long time. Grabbed me from the first page and a book has never done that to me. I definitely would recommend this book to family members and friends.
