Things don’t shift any better than this! Of Fur & Fangs brings you six sizzling dark dangerous paranormal reads from five best-selling authors.

FANG CHRONICLES: MANDY’S STORY by D’Elen McClain- Every beastkind knows you don’t mess with a Kodiak bear—everyone that is except Mandy, the wolf-pack Alpha’s sister. When Mandy hears whispers that the bad attitude bear, Honey, has chosen a mate, she takes matters into her own hands because her wolf decided months before that Honey was hers.

BIG BAD BEAST by Skhye Moncrief- Each wants the other, but neither can stand to be in the same room together…And each has secretly lusted for the other like a dark explosive sin. Stand back and watch the fireworks light up the Minnesota Territory’s post-apocalyptic sky because the BIG BAD BEAST can’t help but to huff and to puff and to blow Josie’s house in…

FERAL FASCINATIONS by Skhye Moncrief- Their blood lust flares hotter than a solar storm…She seduced an earthling to create their were-assassin blood bond. Shanghaied to fight a war between vampires and werewolves, his gut shouts escape. But humanity needs a hero. Colliding in a universe of psychic mind-reading games, each realizes trusting the other is as dangerous as buying into their FERAL FASCINATIONS.

THE GEORGIAN EMBRACE by Sky Purington- Everything changes for eighteenth century Isabel when Devin, a mysterious stranger claiming to be from the future, appears on her Georgian's worksite. Even as smoldering, unavoidable desire ignites between them they must struggle to stay one step ahead of the time-warping house caught in Calum's Curse. Better yet, the rival werewolf determined to finish the legacy it began.

CARNAL THIRST by Celeste Anwar- When Danior found the woman being drained of life by one of his clan, for some unfathomable reason, he knew he could not allow her to die. Against the ruling of the council, Danior secrets her away, taking her through the change from human into vampire and forever changing life as she knows it. But the move ensures they will be outcasts--hunted to the death by his people.

THE PROTECTORS DAMON by Teresa Gabelman- The Vampire Council Warriors have been ordered to train social workers how to protect themselves against vampire attacks. VC Warrior Damon DeMaster’s and social worker Nicole Callahan clash at their first meeting. Even as sparks fly and tensions mount, Nicole and Damon depend on each other to protect the children of both races against the new drug hitting the streets, Crimson Rush.

I’m a writer, author, word warrior! I owned an independent bookstore for many years in my 20’s and 30’s. So it should be obvious, I LOVE BOOKS. Fiction or non-fiction it doesn’t matter. I hated self-help but then found Og Mandino. I hated French history and the game of chess and then discovered The Eight by Katherine Neville. I’ve stopped limiting myself to what I think I like.

That brings me to paranormal fiction. It’s a passion of mine. Vampires, werewolves, ghosts, zombies, angels and demons, I read them all. I’ve wanted to write a vampire/werewolf novel for a long time. Taking a break from another series (aka Suzie Ivy The Bad Luck Detective), I decided to write the story screaming inside my head. The Fang Chronicles Book I almost wrote itself. No research or trying to remember a specific conversation, all I needed to do was keep the names straight.

Mandy by D'Elen McClain was my favorite Fang Chronicle book so far, Mandy is a great heroine, funny, strong, devious all the things I like. Honey truly is a Honey Bear, once Mandy whips him into shape, lol. I highly recommend this book and all of the books in the Fang Chronicles.

Big Bad Beast and Feral Fascinations were ok, sci-fi alien and post apocalypse books are not a genre I personally care for and I had trouble following some of the storyline but this is probably more because of personal preference than the author's writing ability.

The Georgian Embrace I loved and when I finished I immediately downloaded the boxed set to find out what happens to Leathan and Seth and I'll start reading about them as soon as I finish this review. Nothing like an ancient curse, some time travel, ghosts and paranormal creatures to keep you on the edge of your seat.

Carnal Thirst was a great vampire love story, I love it when the "bad" guy has a soft heart and our heroine is a real woman that I think most of us can relate to.

The Protectors Damon, a soft hearted champion of children and a kick ass vampire make sparks fly. I loved this story as well and have already downloaded the next book in the series to find out what happens to Jake.

Great Read but IMPORTANT SIDE NOTE FOR ALL NOOK READERS AND THEIR DEVICES!

The box set is a great read however this book has a few tech problems starting with the table of contents with quick links to jump to. The book set NEEDS to be REFORMATTED! I have other box set collections on my Samsung galaxy tab 4 NOOK 7.0 8 gig, and i never had a problem. This box set however has coding screw up that will cause problems on nook readers. I had a similar problem awhile back on my old nook color before it went AWOL. Once the issue became known and the authors ask the publisher to re-do the format coding, go thru some betas to test it out to see if it was stable or not along with the Actual Table of contents list (with the titles themselves instead of just a chapter list) then that said box set was fixed and stopped crashing/ freezing my Nook. A fellow reader who also had the same copy had the same problems as i did so its not an isolated thing.

The Box Set overall is a great read with talented authors with my kind of Adult Paranormal Romance reads which goes under NSFW ( not something for work; unless you've perfected your public erotica reading poker face. Intended for 18+ only and for New adults as well. Read at own risk however and be warned your nook device/ reader/ tablet ( Nook Color, Nook Glowlight, Nook HD, Nook simple touch, ect) can/ will / highly likely to crash or freeze up. And yes my nook is on its latest software update. Once and IF the publisher fixes the coding issue for us NOOK readers i'll redo my review and switch it to the 5 of 5 stars it deserves!

Until the coding gets fixed its best if ALL NOOK readers just bookmark the pages that starts the next author's story so you have a faster link jump to get to your favorite author's yummy Story. Currently there are other reviews on B&N for this box set with people leaving poor reviews b/c of the same issues on their devices.

Damon by Teresa Gabelman

I just finished reading Damon and it was great - I couldn't put it down! I liked how it was between Damon and Nicole. A great beginning to a series. A good mix of humor, romance, mystery, and horror. I would recommend this book as a cuddle up for a cold evening with a warm blanket and fireplace. Lots of fresh ideas for the topic of vampires and humans.

Overall the only story I really enjoyed in this particular box set was Mandy's Story of the Fang Chronicles. While most of the other stories were well written they just did not hold my interest as well and did not seem to all fit under the title of the book. Of Fur & fang led me to believe there would be more shifters and vampires not aliens.

Could have been better

Out of all of these stories I only liked two of them. The two that I liked some action, a little bit of humor and romance. The other stories had a good story plot, but as you read them they dragged from beginning to end. A good paranormal romance grabs your attention from the first chapter, not put you to sleep.

Only got through the first two stories. Well, no, that's not entirely true. I couldn't finish the first. Couldn't finish the second and gave up after that. Absolutely horrible.
