‼️Reread with the new Audiobook 🎧 01/16/24
3stars for the audio⭐️⭐️⭐️
-The female narrator just didn’t work for me.
She comes across as pretentious, angry and her reading is abrupt. Gah I really didn’t like her or think it fit the character.
-The male voice was great!
♥️Still a great 5 star book loads of sexy times bordering on smut. Love it.

👀 He is the HITMAN of hockey. Always making shady plays and giving Zero fucks. But when a hot little number DM’s him a rant about his playing he can’t help but want to prove her wrong. Let the games begin!

💯This whole book! It was so much fun from beginning to end. I was maybe a bit long but I still really enjoyed it.
Definitely some nonsensical antics and loads of sex. But I just went with it cause it was entertaining as fuck.

❌I hate when the h pride and stubbornness causes her to make stupid decisions and put her safety on the line. She had some no so smart moments.

Yes mostly from h to H. But it’s a game to them. It’s very much cat and mouse. They purposefully push each others buttons to get a reaction. The H is the main pursuer and does LOTS of mortally gray things to get and trap the h. But she also kinda likes it 🫣.

OMD- her cheating ex who is on the same team as the H wants her back. He causes problems for them both. She also owes him $20,000 and he is holding it over her.
OMD- her ex kidnaps her and stalks her and try’s to SA her but she gets free before that happens
OWD- a girl hits on the H in a bar. He lets her touch his shoulder and whisper in his ear to get the h jealous but he has zero interest in OW . He wants to see if she will fight for him and it’s also a bit of payback for her wearing her ex jersey to the game…… like I said they play lots of games.
OW- a new girl who works for the h has her eyes set on the H and does some stuff to get him but it doesn’t work and he definitely isn’t interested.

I had so much fun reading this one. Was it a little bit too long!? Maybe, but I felt the pace was fine, I loved all the banter and the moments where they got back at each other 😂😂🤭. In the end, they were both cray cray.
There are dark elements / activities in this read, but it was on the sweet dark side of these books!? At least, that's how I see it 🤭😂👀. He was definitely a huge red flag walking, but only for her 🤭🥰🥹. In any case, everyone has different triggers, so please check the TW on the author's website before picking the book.
He instantly developed an obsession for her, and he did everything he could (played dirty on any plan, of course) to make her his. He was used to playing dirty since that's how he also played hockey. He definitely didn't like to lose.
While she often suffered from the betrayal body syndrome 😂 she didn't relent easily. She actually fought back, was a brat sometimes, and sassed him, pocking the bear and knowing she was going to be punished 🤭😂. But she also had some moments when she got her revenge in some situations, and it was just perfect 😂.
I was content with the dangerous part of the plot, being her EX cheating boyfriend, i.e., one of the current teammates of the MMC. The danger was real. He was deranged, but in a negative way. Hayden really got his hands red while protecting her and their precious cargo 🥰🥹🥹.

I loved his teammates and also his brother. Hope we will get his book as well.
A few things bothered me
- the fact that she had this tendency to pick up pshychos as her boyfriends; I mean, learn from your mistakes, girl!! Hayden is basically her 3rd psycho, but finally, the good one 😂; pfiu, she finally broke the negative chain 😂🥰🥵
- I hated the part where she basically assaulted that chick that was making googly eyes and touching Hayden; I understand she was jealous and maybe also a little bit extremely jealous, just like him, but hello, her reaction was insane!! 😬
- I wanted a little bit more details, more focus, on what happened exactly with her family so that she could properly heal with the MMC'S help
- she continued the OF content throughout her pregnancy!? And he actually was on board!? Sounds quite not in his character this decision, since he's so possessive of her; I understand that he wanted to support her in having her autonomy, but her sports bar and extended restaurant would have been enough for this; maybe, I don't know
- I can't believe she didn't know he was taking the condom off / not wearing one from the start; I get it once or twice, but so many times: nnnaaah, I don't buy it 😂
Nevertheless, this read was entertaining!
I will continue the series. Can't wait for Kingston's story. The way he was so serious and unfazed by what happened at the end of the book made me curious about his past! His book will definitely be interesting!

Hands down, Hayden is 🚩🚩🚩🚩 AND I LOVE IT!!
Now he does stuff that makes you go wait. Is this too far?!? Should I run away from him (in rl, yes) in this world, heck no!! He's obsessed, possessive, cocky and delicious!!
Him and Cass first meet when she sends him a mean dm about he sucks and a douche so what does he do? Gets traded to her city because them games are starting heheh he knows where she works, her apartment, and he's already invested in his woman. Cass doesn't want anything to do with him because she has bad taste in men, and hockey guys tend to cheat on her. Her ex is a throne in her side because she owes him money. So he's like a std who doesn't leave. But that doesn't stop Hayden he's going to make sure Cass ends up his woman. He also stars in her OF with her to make extra money.;) she also teases and taunts him when she does soli videos to rile him up, lol.
Oh, don't worry, they are both one up one another with the games they play. Beside the chemistry between them, they are so good together it does take Cass a little more time, but she loved how Hayden was with her since day one. Don't worry the bad guys get there. 🥰
I love that Hayden and his friendship with his new team is cool, and Hayden and his brother relationship.

You get a hero that becomes obsessed with her of course 🤣😈
Hayden “The Hitman” Vaughn is known on the hockey field to play dirty and to get things done 🤷🏻♀️. Cassidy, though, happens to be watching the game and decides to message him on IG and criticizes the way he plays 😅. And Hayden, being the OTT man that he is, decides that if he’s gonna get traded because of his antics, then he wants to go to where this “Ice Princess” from IG lives 👀.
And because Cassidy owns a bar, it doesn’t take long for him to find out all that he needs in order to casually have a drink in her bar 👀. And provoke her even more 😉.
Cassidy‘s over hockey men. Her ex just cheated on her and he’s also on the same team as Hayden 😒. So when Hayden starts pursuing her, she hits the brakes quickly.
What she didn’t count on?
That Hayden’s not gonna give up 👀. In fact, he’s gonna make sure that he becomes a permanent fixture in her life 🤷🏻♀️😅.

What I liked/loved: POSSIBLE SPOILERS
— how OTT he is 😮💨. This man doesn’t know what it means to lay low 🤡. He wants Cassidy and he’s gonna get her. Any obstacle in his way means that he’s gonna find ways around them 😉🤣
— how protective he is 🫶. He has cameras installed, watches her every move, defends her, caters to her, I mean… the works 🥹. So what he does isn’t always legal, but he’s just so sweet 😭. He’s just looking out for her 🤷🏻♀️
— the 🔥. Ufff. This is NOT a slow burn 😮💨. Kissing happens at about 15%, he tastes her soon after (while she’s asleep 🫣🫣🫣) and then BAAAMMM… by 17%, he shows her just what his pierced D is alllll about 🥵💦
— he’s pierced 😉. This gets its own bullet 🤡
— she’s sleeping? It’s okay… he’s gonna make sure she feels good no matter what 🥵🤡
— breeeeding 😈. He wants forever with her, so he’s gotta do what he’s gotta do 😉
— dubcon ish 😅. She might not always be aware of what’s going on, so maybe this is more on the Non side 🔥

I'm a huge fan of both hockey and stalker romances, but for some reason I was having a hard time giving with the writing and the characters. I am SO glad I ended up giving it another try. Great story with tons of laugh out loud moments and some great twists. I needed up really loving both MCs and the writing seemed to settle and click for me. I love this world she has built and I'm already super invested for the next book. Can't wait!!

Immediately the MMC is obsessed with the FMC - there's literally no build up at all. The writing was immature and it really just made the MMC extremely immature. I didn't really get far enough in to get to know the FMC yet but I didn't really care.

This was SO much fun!!! I went into this book completely blind and had no idea we were getting such an unhinged and obsessed MMC. He was fantastic. He literally chose Seattle as the city to get traded to because of a single instagram message from the FMC and her tiny profile pic. Man was all in from that encounter 😅😅

The FMC is equally awesome. She gave just as much and didn't let him get away with anything. She loved to make him go crazy lol. They had a great cat/mouse dynamic going. Usually those never do it for me, but it worked great here.

A completely unhinged hero that has no boundaries and will quite literally do anything to possess his girl.

He was great but she was super annoying and I did not like how he let other people watch them have sex. She could have done so many other things to make money. He should have been more possessive and said no no cameras. I like the mindset of him but I found her boring and undeserving of him.

Another one in the long list of Booktok and Facebook groups recommendations that didn't deserve the hype.
The only thing I liked about this one was the way MCs were so obsessed with each other that they were ready to do anything for each other especially the H. Hayden did really do somethings that were not morally and socially acceptable to keep Cassidy in his life and to make her his. He was possessive, obsessed, manipulative and downright psycho where Cassidy was concerned and I kind of liked it.

~ Now there were lot of things that seriously rubbed me the wrong way.~
• There's a scene where Hayden is sitting with his teammates and one of his teammates recieved nudes from a girl he met after one of his games and his teammate shows them nudes to Hayden and his other teammate. I just didn't like that. I mean why would he do that? Ohhh it made our H realise that he doesn't want anyone other than the h🙄
• There's another scene where Cassidy beats up a woman who approached Hayden in a club (who doesn't know that he has gf) and he tries to make Cassidy jealous by talking to her and letting her touch him to see if Cassidy's gonna claim him as her or not. I mean I hated to read that a woman was treated that way bcoz two assh*les were busy playing unnecessary games with each other that had nothing to do with anyone.🙃
• Then there's a scene where Hayden's father threatens him and calls Cassidy a sex worker multiple times and not once Hayden corrects him and asks him to stop calling her that.
• And lastly, this is for people who doesn't like sharing in any kind of way or form in books so please be informed before picking up this book.
~Cassidy has an OnlyFans and Hayden is Ok with it( he does objects at first) and then he joins her and makes videos with her. I mean I do understand her wanting to be her own person and do her own thing and Hayden supporting her but IMO this OFs thing was not necessary. She starts it with the intention of earning extra money so she can pay her debt to her assh*le ex- boyfriend and to help her expand her bar into a restaurant too as her father always wanted before passing away. But it seems pointless to me bcoz she had many reasonable ways to do that. Hayden was ready to help her and she could've taken his help and returned him the money once she had that amount. And another thing was that I thought they'll stop making videos after she gets pregnant but they didn't. They continue making videos for her OF and NO this was just not it. And everyone in their friends and family circle KNEW about it too. That's why his father called her a sex worker.
~I mean don't get me wrong I don't have any problem with OF models or anything but here in this book where H was soo obsessed with her that he tattooed his name above her vag when she was sleeping and goes out of his way to make her pregnant so she couldn't leave, this OF thing just didn't feel right. And specially where everyone in their circle knew about it too. I mean it seriously gave me whiplash when he agrees to let her continue her side gig but with the condition with him joining her in the videos so everyone would know who she belongs to. I mean ik some people are exhibitioners and have exhibitionist kink but still I didn't like it. Ig it just wasn't my thing and if I'd known about this particular piece of information i wouldn't have had picked it.

(at least compared to the others) 😉
I also really hope hayden’s brother sawyer gets a book he was literally my favourite side character! 🤞🏻

This is a fun book! Hayden is the PERFECT OTT JP hero and we get double the trouble with his brother Sawyer who’s just as hot and just as psycho. For you sharing or RH fans, this couple stays MF, but I can’t wait for Sawyers story because he’s bisexual so maybe we’ll get that with him.
Cassidy sends Hayden an impulsive text one night that starts his obsession and he moves to Seattle to find her. There’s also an obsessive ex of Cassidy’s that lends drama and angst. Hayden and Sawyers relationship for me was the star of the book, I just loved it. Sawyers an opportunistic deviant 😂, you’ll have to read to find out. We get one of the best wedding scenes I’ve read, humor, jealousy, drama and best of all the heroine fights fire with fire as she embraces Hayden’s psycho.
Why not 5 stars then?
There were some inconsistencies as with many stories, Cassidy felt very ho-hum for the first 50%, I felt she would have had some ptsd from previous trauma that’s glossed over and doesn’t really add to the story because it’s not explored enough. I didn’t buy into Hayden letting her post on OnlyFans with how possessive he was, so I could only give this 4.5 stars- but it’s a great read, have fun and let your 🚩fly.

“Dirty Hit” is the story of Cassidy and Hayden.
Hero is a ruthless sportsman who attracts the attention of a hating fan. He gets obsessed with her and moves to her city.
Most of the story is him infiltrating her life, dub con, bc tampering, stalking, breeding, forced tattooing etc etc
The only part I don’t get is that the heroine starts doing OF, and the supposed hero has NO ISSUE with it even they get together- even continuing it throughout the pregnancy. So you’re telling me a man who gets pissed off at her smiling at another dude is ok putting videos of them having sex and their unborn baby for other men to enjoy?? I get financial independence but she was doing it to pay her ex off out of force, not willingness. Also the fact that all her boyfriends were psychos made the hero feel one in a herd.

dark hockey romance
There’s so many things to live in this book, but some of my favorites were the OTT MMC, the banter, and everything that Hayden does to make the relationship happen. It’s well written and entertaining. If you like your hockey romances dark you need to check out Dirty Hit!
