Tulip has Norwegian blood and Norse dreams, but her city condo world is soft, dull and full of kibble. Then, it all goes kablooey. Tulip finds herself in the ruthless north woods of Lake Huron, staring down fearsome creatures, stalking bugs and other breakfast foods, cheating death and wondering at the shadowy menace on her trail. It's a lot for one little cat to take in, let alone survive, even for Tulip the Brave.
A fun, exciting, and humorous tale about a cat named Tulip and her adventure through the wilds of Manitoulin Island. This was overall a cozy read and I was pleasantly surprised at some of the mystical elements included in the story (the Viking visions in particular were super interesting). The various animal interactions were immersive and well written, and I enjoyed Tulip’s inner thoughts throughout her journey.
