About Last Night is the third book in Cadence Key’s Breaking the Rules Series. It’s another well written taboo romance (age gap/employer-employee).

Brynn is a pop star who is surrounded by people but is lonely nonetheless. She has a stalker who and now needs to increase her security. Wyatt is hired to be her personal security guard. He is married to his job and doesn’t have time for a relationship or family. But when the two meet, the attraction is immediate. As they work together, they also come to care about each other but know they can’t cross the line. When her stalker becomes even more aggressive, they hide out in a cabin in Lake Tahoe. In this bubble, they finally give up the fight and cross the lines they desperately tried to maintain. The physical chemistry is explosive but neither are willing to own up to the depths of their feelings. It’s not just lust, it’s love. When they can back to the real world, can they make this relationship work? Or will her hectic life push him away? Will he be forced to quit his job if they stay together?

As I mentioned above, this was a well written story. The characters are fully fleshed out and I found myself rooting for them to overcome the obstacles and realize what’s important. The sexy scenes were great and not overly done.

If you like taboo romances that have a great storyline with corresponding spicy scenes, pick this book up.

This story was so cute hot and had all of the feels. Brynn is a singer who has recently been receiving death threats from an unknown source. Wyatt works for a security firm and ends up bring Brynn’s bodyguard. From the beginning these two are instantly attracted to each other. As they began to spend more and more time together, feelings start to grow. Wyatt begins to see the strain and the weight that Brynn carries. I absolutely adored how attentive to her needs Wyatt was. I loved how we got to see his soft side with Brynn,as opposed to the hard exterior he shows everyone else. Brynn brought out the best in Wyatt. I definitely feel like these two complemented each other.

"I never wanted to leave this moment or lose this feeling."

I think the best part of this book was how natural they seemed together. Despite being super famous, she never acted like she was. And he looked at her as a beautiful, smart, confident woman who put others before herself, always gracious and generous to those around her.

This story has a ton of steam, more than the other two books. It's not as emotional nor does it have as much angst, but it's still interesting and fun. And it was great to see Travis and Sadie happily living their lives.

Swoony, hot, can’t put down bodyguard romance! Whole thing is so perfect, the tension, how hard these two fight it, the fall, all just fantastic. Wyatt and Brynn are wonderful characters, I love how much they have a respect for the others job, care what they have to give up if they give in to their attraction, and Wyatt just takes the best care of Brynn, it’s sweet, but then he brings it when he has her in his arms and flames just leap off the page. A really great read!

Cadence Key's Breaking the Rules Series continues with About Last Night, the third book. Pop singer Brynn is lonely while being surrounded by people. She needs to increase her security because she is being stalked. She hires Wyatt to serve as her personal bodyguard. These two are immediately drawn to one another from the start. Feelings started to develop as they spent more and more time together. It's a well-written story. They really seemed to balance each other out, in my opinion.

Oh em G! I love love love Wyatt! I seriously love everything about him. Brynn was perfect for him. The chemistry between the two was AH-MAZING! I could feel it. The suspense of what was going to happen had me wanting to flip ahead to the end and read the last chapter multiple times, but I didn’t. I’m glad I didn’t give in because I enjoyed everything about this book, and enjoyed all the moments leading up to the end. I can’t wait for the next in this series. Definitely a book I’d recommend!

Such an adorable match. They clearly liked each other from the start but have that boundary that they both refuse to cross. But push comes to shove, like all great love stories, both have to cave and decide to go all in. And from all those angsty first chapters came such a sweet love story!

Pop star stories are popular at the moment and this one is a highly enjoyable read in this genre.
