The Everlasting Desert has known peace until Athia, a young thief, unwittingly frees Nef, the Goddess of Death. Nef tasks Athia to free the remaining gods who once ruled the desert. With the warrior-nomad Bayek by her side, Athia embarks on a journey across the desert to find the next gods’ powers and free them from their mortal form.

As they traverse the treacherous sands, they encounter miracle cities, cursed giants, vengeful warriors, and the true power of the Everlasting Desert. In this tale of monstrous gods and struggling mortals, will Athia complete her quest with clean hands, or will Bayek’s warrior beliefs force them to stray from the path and cross the gods?
