All I ever wanted was to have my very own basilisk and to play video games. Now I have my newest pet on his way home to me and a chance to meet my three best friends in person, what could go wrong?
DNF @36% Chapter 16(Lizzy) Nothing bad or terrible has occurred. I was just bored when I put it down, and now I don’t wanna pick it back up to finish it. That’s all🤷🏻♀️
It’s silly and fluffy and immature. Not necessarily bad, but not what I want. As a gamer myself, I had hoped to find this interesting and fun - but apparently my brand of nerdy awkwardness and obsessive gaming doesn’t jive with the inane characters and plot.
I greatly enjoyed this story. Lizzy is a fun and sassy gamer. She gets a new pet lizard and everything goes nuts. She ends up in a game with men she has only ever met online. If you enjoy role playing games this may be a book you would enjoy. Loved the characters and the story.
Lizzy known as Frizzylizzy in her online game, had meet Raga, Sivirin (Siv), and Dalas this were there on line names, and they had just clicked. The four of them would meet online and play computer games. They were going to test their friendship even further as there was a big comic convention coming in a near by town and they were going to meet. Living in Silver Spring Lizzy a regular human and not a supernatural, noticed strange things that she just could not figure out. Because it was warded the supernaturals strange looks were hidden and appeared normal lol except on one thing Lizzy noticed was like Sapphire having so many boyfriends, where Lizzy would love to just have one boyfriend. All of sudden Siv disappeared they did not know what happened to him, his friends had no clue. Lizzy was waiting for a special kind of pet she had put in a request for, kind of like a rescue situation. She had prepared it's new home and was already for him. When Lizzy got notice the pet was in she ran right over to the pet store to get the basilisk. She was holding the basilisk and she asked him his name and he typed it on the computer Stoic. While she was holding Stoic, a quest information screen popped up. Lizzy barely had a chance to glance at it when Stoic's tongue lashed out struck an enter key and accepted the quest. It was last thing Lizzy remembers as a bright light filled her vision. What happened to Lizzy and Stoic? What is the quest? What happened to Siv? You will be so surprised you will just have to get the book and find out the answers to the above questions plus so many more.
This was such a fun and easy story to read, and I enjoyed being thrown into a new world through the love of gaming. And with Lizzy, who has the passion for gaming but still takes the time to meet up with her best friend Sugar, who gives Lizzy a green coller and thinks it will look cute for her new pet Lizard and this is where thing's seem normal untill her pet lizard writes down his own name Stoic on her keyboard and suddenly enters Lizzy on a quest to a strange world where she will meet her four guys. Loveable characters,Phil a gorgon who's quite close to his snakes, and I loved how he had one favourite Mara in particular who will help guide him in this strange world. Then there's Jase, who's a drake and Gere a naga who both help run the arcade and are best buds. I loved the adventure and how they joined together in order to get back home while having some strange and peculiar things happen to them and I think Lizzy handled things prity well considering. This adventure definitely brought them closer together and i loved how i had no clue what was going to happen especially with that monster toward the end. This story is definitely a one that makes you smile, and i I love that about it, especially the ending, which was so heartfelt, and i'm glad things turned out ok.
Lizzy wins a point straight away because she's a gamer, what can I say other than I relate to that and love it? She's a human in a supernatural town and while there is the odd thing that confuses her sometimes-I'm looking at you Amber and your shape-shifting self-Lizzy accepts it.
It's getting close to her going to a convention to meet the three guys she met online through her gaming, but Silver Springs never makes things easy for its residents when they all end up on a quest they didn't plan on doing.
First of all, I adore Lizzy, she's definitely my favourite at the moment. Like I said I totally relate to her and I really like that. I also love the fact that the guys are all reptilian-related, we have a naga, a gorgon, a drake and even Stoic is a lizard. It's a perfect combination of action, humour and not forgetting the twists and turns that every SS author loves to throw into their stories.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of LIZZY" a terrific adventure you don't want to miss fill of mystery, humor, intrigue, twists that keeps you turning the pages. Lizzy is a gamer known as FrizzyLizzy on her online game she meets Raga, Sivirin aka Siv, & Dalas who click right off the bat they meet online to play games, she lives in Silver Springs she human in a supernatural world, sees things she's not sure about. Lizzy wanted a new pet prepared for it to come home she gets a message to come get her pet from pet store while holding the Basilik she asks his name & the Lizzard types with his tongue Stoic hit enter to accept, everything goes crazy after that. I definitely recommend to get this delightful magical interesting adventure to see what happens to Lizzy, Stoic & Siv, her mates as well its a must read to see what happens I love this series with all the unique characters & adventures. AWESOME MYSTICAL MAGICAL ADVENTURE A MUST READ FOR SURE 🖤 🖤 🖤 🖤 🖤
A wonderful addition to the Silver Spring Pets series - a multi author series with each read being an interconnected stand alone. Lizzy was a wonderful short read. I love that this was all about the gamers and their world. In true Silver Spring fashion things are never as simple as they should be. When Lizzy gets a new pet lizard all sorts of chaos ensues. Fun and quirky with amazing characters, some twists, action and humor - this reverse harem romance was a delight to read. I again especially loved the gamer concept and the friendship between Lizzy and Sugar was great as well as the bond Lizzy found with her men. I definitely hope there is more to come from Merlin in this series and really, I'd love more from Lizzy and her guys too!
This book was given to me for free at my request and I voluntarily provide this review.
Maybe it's just me but this sort of reminded me of a gaming version of the wizard of oz! Lizzy is minding her own business at her home Silver Springs with her pet lizard when suddenly a new quest pops,up on her game. Both her and her lizard Stoic are flung into a strange new world where she meets up with her three gaming friends (love interests) who she has gamed with frequently but never actually met in person. To get home they have to embark on a quest to rid this new world of the evil basilisk that is terrorising the town ... or so the story goes! This was more about the adventure than the romance and I absolutely loved it. I found it a bit light on the romance side of the story but the story was so amazing it is actually one of my favourites in this series. It definitely deserves a five star rating
As a gamer, I love the premise of the story, with the characters getting sucked into the game world - there's a few possibilities I can think of right there!
Lizzy is a fun FMC, who is open minded to take a lot of stuff in her stride. Her guys are an interesting collection of personalities and supernatural types, including some we don't often see.
If I had one quibble, it's that I wanted more! There were a few points in the book that I expected to develop into full plot lines that didn't, and I want to know more about what caused them to get transported - and the fact that, for one of the guys, it wasn't the first time, either! But overall, I just want to see more of what happens with them all, as the ending still feels very much like we're only at the start of their story!
I'm loving this latest Silver Spring series, and I can't wait to see where we go next!
I absolutely loved this book and its entire plot. I love seeing books with female gamers, especially ones who know what they’re doing and aren’t afraid to outshine the boys. And Lizzie is no exception. With the fearless ability to lead her party on quests, it’s no wonder she was able to adapt so quickly when her little lizard accepted her quest before she could finish reading. Stoic and Raz were both pleasant surprises/additions in this book that you can’t help but love. Ironically, Stoic gives off golden retriever vibes, and he’s so enthusiastic it’s adorable. Raz is very much the loyal protector of the group and his role in the book was written in so smoothly. The guys inability to shift made the book a bit more interesting, as well, and I loved the backstory on some of their shifted forms from that “time”.
Lizzy is the 6th book in the Silver Springs Pets series. I found it to be a fun and entertaining read. I loved getting to know the characters and was really into the gamer world they were pulled into. Lizzy is a human who lives in a magical world of Silver Springs where there are shifters of all kinds, witches, vampires and magic that the humans are not aware of. Lizzy is a gamer that that plays games on the internet with 3 other guys and when one goes missing they begin to wonder what happened to him. Lizzy has a lizard that is named Elios with interesting talents. Her 3 friends well they are really interesting and intriguing too. So, If you enjoy Intrigue, Hot Shifters of all kinds, Magical Games, and slow burn Romance then Lizzy would be the book for you.
This was such a fun and entertaining read! I enjoyed getting to know Lizzy more, and of course, the guys she starts collecting 😉 What I found most fascinating was the interactive game part, and how they got sucked into this role-playing type world. I’m not that familiar with gaming, but found it easy enough to follow along, and made me curious about The Arcade. When they finally finished their quest and returned home to Silver Springs, a new stray is found. I am really interested in finding out more about Lizzy, Raz (how mysterious!) Gere, Jase, Phil, and Stoic of course! Especially how they figure out their dynamics and whatnot. No spice in this one, but wholesome and, just, fun! A great addition to the Silver Springs Pets series.
“I think you offer much more than you know, young one. You have the spirit of a guiding light within your soul. The males are drawn to you and, I believe, they will follow wherever it is you lead.“
Lizzy is KZ Merlin’s contribution to the Silver Springs Pets series.
As a video game lover, Lizzy finds herself friending a group of guys online who seem to feel right spending time with. Her other dream is to own a basilisk lizard. When her dreams start to form into reality she is plunged into an alternate reality video game world where she must help those she is learning to trust and love.
This is a sweet addition to this series that is a bit different than the other stories- but in a really good way!
My rating for the plot, characters, and dialogue is a five, but my rating for the writing is a one.
I think the author may have written the book very quickly and then not had anyone read it for errors. A great many of the sentences did not make sense and there were several grammatical errors: mixed tenses, incorrect use of I/me, misspelled words, and incorrect use of words. I also wondered why she chose the name Stoic for the character with the most bubbly personality. The extraneous addition of the abandoned puppy in the last 10% of the book seemed to be only to add word count and was kind of annoying.
This book could easily earn five stars if a good editor gave the author some help.
Lizzy is excited about two things in life right now. The new pet she should be picking up from Beastie Besties any day now, the chance to meet the three guys she’s built a strong guild with while gaming. Settling in with her new “bestie,” Lizzy is not ready for what happens next!
Reading through this Silver Springs addition, you get a new location in town, along with some new characters carrying traits as yet unseen in town. Tension will build throughout the book as Lizzy and crew work to find the way, but this sweet offering is filled with love and acceptance, and is guaranteed to make you say, “Aweeeeeeee…”
Lizzy is the first Silver Springs book that I've read by this writer because I haven't managed to read Moonlit Lazulite yet (but I will).
Human Gamer Lizzy (FMC) is living in Silver Springs and like the majority of humans there she completely oblivious to the Supernatural Community living around her. Her real life and her gamer life collide when she finds herself in a game herself taking part in it. Along with gamer guys she friended online. It kicks off a caper full of laughs and witty banter but little steam (which I kinda liked. A great addition to the Silver Springs library and a good read too.
I always love traveling into the world of Silver Springs! The characters, the storyline, the quirkiness of the magic, and for this season, the animal sidekicks, and the steaminess of the mates are all such a treat to read! I really enjoyed Lizzy's story because she is a human brought into the magical world of Silver Springs in a very unique way, the magic is all in the game she likes to play. Being thrust into the world of the game, she is surprised to find not only her three gaming friends with her, but also her new pet, a lizard, named Stoic. They must complete a quest, so fun shenanigans ensue including some romantic moments. I loved every moment! Such a great story!
I loved the gamer culture mixed into this. As always there are insane shenanigans and all sorts of sweetness. Lizzy is such a strong and capable character. It was fun seeing her get her mates and also her pets. She wants to meet up with the gamer guys she’s been having fun with online to see if their friendship can go beyond the online gaming. And Lizzy doesn’t know about all the supernatural things in silver springs so she starts to see a bunch of strange things. There are some seriously sweet moments though these characters have to do a lot to get their happy ending. It was so worth it and I hope we get more of these characters.
Well, this one was a little off the beaten path, even for a Silver Springs book and I loved it! Lizzy being a gamer girl made for a great new way to introduce mates and a quirky, inventive storyline that I found lots of fun and very different from anything that I've ever read before in a PNR book. If you're into the gaming world, this is a book for you, but even if you aren't this is a fun book everyone can enjoy! I'd happily jump into another story with Lizzy and her 5, yes I said 5 men. I'm not bog for reptiles though so thankfully there wasn't a ton of that detailed up for me. A well-done, yet short read and great addition to the SS universe!
When Lizzy gets sucked into a game, with an unknown quest to solve, she did not expect to meet her 3 gaming friends, her pet and a huge beast in the set-up. I loved this story, but could use a lilttle bit more background here and there to make the story complete. This was a fresh new way of presenting the story in the wellknown universe of Silver Springs. I highly recommend this to all gaming fanatics out there, who also love a romantic end to the story. It can be read by all ages, as there is no physical steam besides a few kisses.
Lizzy is a gamer who gets wrapped up gaming and sometimes looses track of time. Her one passion in live is reptiles. Once she gets one of her own, she is super excited. Planning on going to a gaming convention with her online friends, she gets sucked into a game that she was playing. Now she must complete a mission and hope to get home. Phil, Gere, Jase and Stoic now must find the target and complete this mission. But not everything goes as planned. This was a good read, although not a whole lot of spice.
Lizzy is the sixth book in the Silver Springs Pets collection. This is a standalone, however, I highly recommend reading the rest, because it's such a fun world.
I absolutely looooved this one. Lizzy or her gamertag, Frizzylizzy, is such a fun and likable character. As a gamer myself, this one reallly drew me in. I am also a sucker for supes meeting their human mates. There's plenty of action, spice, nerdy fun to make this super enjoyable! Probably one of my top 3 favorites in this collection!
From the heart of an avid game lover, this story rocks! 🥰🤩 I personally have wished that I could be sent inside some of my favorite games. Also this story had a unique twist to the theme of pulling all Lizzy's mates together and revealing the magic behind Silver Springs to the human. Even more special was a grown shifter learning about being a shifter through the same journey. I hope that we can get another book with Lizzy and her men because I was not ready for her story to be over yet
So the author has hit it out of the park with this book. It fits in perfectly with the Silver Spring universe but still has its own unique spin. The ONLY complaint I have is that the spice level is literally zero. Unlike other books in the Silver Spring universe their happily-ever-after is more implied than directly stated. However if you are looking for a feel-good adventure-filled romance this book is for you!
This book took us on an adventure in a game like world. Though I’m not much of a gamer as an adult, I did play at an arcade often as a kid so I can see the appeal. This book is plot instead of spice so don’t be too disappointed cause it’s still a fun book. All the guys she meets seem to be reptile-ish in their true forms. I enjoyed Stoic’s bouncy personality. And I had to laugh at Lizzy & Sugar’s motto for “sisters before misters”.
The characters are great and have some unexpected twists to them. The video game aspect of this story made it different and so fun. There's plenty of action and humor with some suspense thrown in to keep you intrigued until the very end. I seriously want to live in Silver Springs, you never know what's going to happen next. Lizzy's story is a wonderfully magical addition to Silver Springs!
This was such a well paced book that I finished it in a morning! I loved all the characters, especially that some of them knew each other well and were flatmates. I think it would be much easier to form the sort of relationships that happen in Silver Springs if you know you can get on with each other already! I loved the quest that they had to do, very gameresque! And I loved how level headed Lizzy was when she found out about the guys various unique traits!
I absolutely loved this book!! As a avid game lover I would loved nothing more to be sent into my favorite game. If only dream like that came true. My only issue was compared to the other Sliver Springs book the spice levels was bear minimum and the HEA was more implied than directly stated. But overall still a great read. As always my reviews are totally voluntary. No monetary compensation was received. The opinions I have expressed is completely my own.
