Sweet - steamy - and a screaming goat. No really - there is a screaming goat in this romance and it cracks me up every time she gets loose or has a fit. This novella is a perfect blend of small town life, grumpy hero and plucky heroine with a healthy dose of animal shenanigans. I loved it from start to finish - a perfect kickoff to what will be a new 6 novella series set in Montana. Can't wait for book 2.

This is such a fun, quick read! This book is sweet, with a whole cast of misfit rescue animals and follows Macy, a veterinarian, and Ryder, an ex-military, now fulltime cowboy working on his grandad's ranch. This novella is a small town, brother's best friend, grumpy/sunshine romance with a fantastic happy ending! I had read several heavy books in a row, and this really helped me out of that!

Oh my gosh, what a great read. The animals and their antics, the sweet older couple who you can’t fool, a wonderful supporting cast and then Macy and Ryder - swoon worthy. The heat is so hot, the dialogue is so cute and the ending so sweet!

This was a solid 4 star read for me. The MMC is a strong Alpha style male which gets me every time. FMC returns to her hometown for a surprise birthday and gets more than she bargained for. Great banter. Very steamy. And yes, a fainting goat 🤣

I can’t help but want more! The whole time I’m reading it I wish for more drama, more to the story. I feel like this book is just one big cliffhanger!
