Fun mix of shorts that was first published in 1967. Most of the stories are from the 40s and 50s, although Shaw tosses in some classics from Poe and Ambrose Bierce. Some of the standouts were "A good Imagination" by Robert Bloch and "The Body Hunters" by Paul Fairman. Some of these have some science fiction themes and most were published in venues like Fantastic and Unknown Worlds. Overall, a solid collection by Shaw. 3 spooky stars!

A few of these stories were interesting, most were boring, absolutely none inspired the promised "Terror!". Overall disappointing. Also, more than one story featured a man plotting the murder of his cheating (or suspected-of-cheating) wife and her lover, and two different stories featured werewolves or were-men. Some variety in the selections would have been preferable.
