A place of wonder, excitement, deadly traps and ferocious monsters, the Eternal Dungeon is an endless labyrinth of tunnels and rooms. With death awaiting through every door the dungeon needs new inhabitants to feed its hunger.
Enter Jackson, snatched from his home via magic portal and dumped into the dungeon's dank halls. Assigned the role of a disposable monster by the class-based levelling system that puts the Eternal Dungeons denizens on an even footing, he must learn to master his new powers to survive.
Gathering a group of strange friends around him Jackson must do the only thing he can. Delve deeper into the dungeon, braving terrifying beasts and battling towering bosses, hoping he can somehow find a way home. A way to escape the Eternal Dungeon.
The Eternal Dungeon is an interesting LitRPG tale. The main character (as it turns out) isn't what he believes himself to be. The reveal of what he is, and what he can do plays a major role in the story, so I won't spoil it here, but suffice it to say that the story is pretty good, and I'd really like to read more in this series. If you're a fan of dungeon LitRPG, you'll probably like this one, if you're just a normal everyday LitRPG fan, with no affiliation towards dungeon stories, then don't let that stop you, this reads pretty well, and the dungeon parts are just pieces of the story, not the main focus, so that should suit a whole lot more LitRPG fans than if it were just a plain dungeon story, as I know not everyone likes those. In any case, it's a pretty good tale, and I really like the story progresses. Reading more of this series is definitely on my to do list.
I didn’t know what to expect from this story, but the idea held interest. Then it amazed with fun Characters, interesting ideas of what living in a dungeon might look like, and a fairly interesting take on a “System”.
Overall a great read that makes me excited for a book 2.
