She saved me on the worst day of my life. Now it’s time to make her mine.
I’ve spent ten years recreating myself into a man deserving of Kennedy Townsend. I’m no longer the poor, illegitimate son of a wealthy man who refused to even acknowledge my presence.
For years, I’ve watched her from afar, waited, and even manipulated businesses to grant her the career opportunities she deserved. All that remains is one last business venture that will earn me the revenge I seek against my past and catapult me into the upper echelon of society.
Then I’ll be free to make her mine.
But when Kennedy’s career brings her directly to my doorstep, I can’t let her walk away. Especially not when the answers she’s seeking put her in the direct path of my enemies.
Kennedy
My career as an investigative reporter is my priority. I don’t have time to get sidetracked by love. Especially not when the recent death of an employee of a Williamsport business tycoon leads me down a potential rabbit hole of abuse of power.
My search for the truth leads me to the owner of the popular Black Opal nightclub. Dae Kim is mysterious, with a devilish grin, coal black eyes, and an oddly familiar presence—as if we’ve met before
The pull between us is instantaneous. Soon, I find my resolve to steer clear of love drowning underneath the weight of his kisses.
But Dae knows more about me than a stranger should. The more I investigate this mystery, the more Dae seems inextricably linked to this case.
When he interferes with my investigation, I start to wonder if Dae Kim is the one I need saving from?
**Save Me is an AMBW romance and is book 3 in a series of inter-related stand alones. One-Click today!**
Okay of all the Townsend kids we’ve gotten books on so far, I think Kennedy’s might be my favorite.
Kennedy and Dae are so perfect together even if she doesn’t want to admit it. Dae’s obsession borders on being creepy but he’s written in a way that just makes him lovable.
The drama, suspense, spice was all there and worked really well.
It was nice seeing the Townsend family show up throughout although I wanted to see more of Diego and Monique.
This was such a fun read! It started out a little heavy and there were many darker themes to this story, so I don't want to be flippant but Dae was just SO obsessed and possessive of Kennedy. The lengths he went to were so over the top. It could have been scary, and I'm sure in real life it would have been, but the way we made so many things happen for her behind the scenes... I was smitten.
Kennedy is from a family of wealth and influence in her own right, but still, Dae found ways to support her for years before he made his move. Then all bets are off and he will get his woman.
I loved the mystery aspect and watching Kennedy investigate for her article. She genuinely cares about making a difference for people was admirable. She has many advantages in her life and the way she is giving back is by busting these stories wide open!
Dae did SO many swoony things! Honestly, he deserves a reward. There was pining, there was a trinket he kept for years, he learns how to do her hair, he buys the right pillow for her... it was so cute! I forgive him for all of the stalking aspects. Haha!
I recommend it if you love an Obsessed Hero, Diverse stories, supportive family, super sexy spice, and some epic swoons!
I listened to this narrated by Maggie Thompson & Matt Mercurio and they did a wonderful job. I was HOOKED right from that powerful first chapter. I think audio is a great way to experience this series.
4.5 stars 4 on the spice scale
*Thank you to Must Love Audio and the author for an ALC of this title.*
The Townsend ladies are just as fierce as the Townsend guys. Huge hearts, suspense, standing up for the underdog, and safe possessiveness that has you swooning page after page.
The Townsend Family is back again. Oh, how I love them all. This time, we get Kennedy’s story in a suspenseful AMBW romance. Kennedy is an investigative reporter working on a pretty heavy story, who, unbeknownst to her, has met Dae Kim several years back. Dae Kim owns an exclusive club, Black Opal, and has kept tabs on her for years. He knows everything about her.
Dae is the epitome of an OTT/P man when it comes to Kennedy. Kennedy does not have a weak personality. She is quite the strong force—so there was often a battle of the wills, which made the spice oh so good between them.
I enjoyed the suspense and action in “Save Me,” as well as the underlying storyline of the investigative story Kennedy was involved with. I loved the appearances of the Townsend family members. It wouldn’t be a true Townsend story without them.
Out of all the kids that got books so far, Kennedy’s story was my favorite. Went in completely blind so Dae’s obsessive and stalkerish vibe was a complete shock. Wish there were more appearances from the aunts and uncles but i loved having Aaron and Patience in it so much. they were the stars of the book honestly.
They say women fall for me. Like their father and Dae Kim is just as crazy as Aaron Townsend. Every time I thought omg this guy is nuts Tiffany Patterson stopped just short of psycho. I liked that this was the first female Townsend book but it was Dae Kim who behaved like a Townsend. He definitely fits in with the family. The only negative I would say is that I don’t feel like I got to know Kennedy any more than I do from previous books. As a result she felt like the secondary character but this doesn’t detach from a good story that could have a sequel
“Save Me” follows Kennedy and Dae, who met ten years ago when Kennedy saved Dae in the worst day of his life.
I listened to this and let me tell you - I am completely obsessed with Matt Mercurio at this point. Dae is so alpha and obsessed over Kennedy and Matt nailed the “boy obsessed” trope.
The writing is so entertaining that I found myself stopping everything just to listen to one more chapter.
I truly recommend this one if you want a funny and enjoyable read with some mystery and an obsessed man.
Maggie and Matt were both new narrators to me and I ended up so surprised with their performance - I am really looking forward to more audiobooks by them!
Dae & Kennedy It hurts that I did not like this book. I wanted to DNF so many times. But I felt bad. I DID NOT like Dae at all! He was not an alphamale he was an over bearing psychotic asshole, he was a bully. And that's saying alot after reading the 20 other books intermingled in this series. He was not sweetly attentive, he was a stalker! Tracking her phone, intercepting her messages. Creepy not endearing. And Kennedy was no where near as fearless and take charge as the FMCs in the other books.

Ten years ago, a young teenage girl saved his life, he had nothing to live for, he was only 18 years old himself, he was told he was worthless and he believed it. After all, he had absolutely no one… until the girl who saved his life made him understand that his life is meaningful and a gift… She became his obsession and reason to live, but she had no clue. However, she never really forgot the boy from Seoul, South Korea … We are talking about Kennedy Townsend, daughter of Aaron Townsend , not an easy feast… Dae Kim had his work cut out for him, Aaron and all the Townsend men, including Uncle Brutus are going to make it very difficult for Dae, but Dae were prepared for them, because nobody could stop him from having Kennedy, not even Kennedy herself. Be prepared to let Dae and Kennedy taking you on their journey to HEA, through lot of hurdles …
This was my first Tiffany Patterson book and I really enjoyed it! I did not expect how unhinged the MMC would be! If you like a man obsessed billionaire, this book is for you. I loved that this had suspense as well as romance. While it was good as a standalone, I think it would’ve been even better if I had read the others in the series.
Both narrators were new to me. I had a little bit of a hard time differentiating the characters with the male narrator. Otherwise enjoyed their voices.
This was my first book by this author and it absolutely did not disappoint. I found myself hooked to Kennedy and Dae's romance pretty quickly, and Dae is 100% obsessed with Kennedy to an almost unhealthy level. And they have their own past that Kennedy finds herself unwrapping as the story goes. But the suspense element in this story had me on the edge of my seat because I found myself NEEDING to know what was going to happen and who all was actually involved.
This book was so much fun! Dae is so unhinged in the best way😍 Kennedy is also who I want to be when I grow up and not just because she has my man hahaha Amazing characters with a stalker plot! No notes!
What a good book!! Love the story, love Kennedy. Love their love. I love that the book stayed true to the Townsend's, but that it also had so much difference with Kennedy. I loved that Aaron got a chapter, and I love that her family was involved the whole time!
This is an ARC review of Save Me by Tiffany Patterson. Save Me is a engaging, attention stealing story of destined love. Save Me is Kennedy Townsend and Dae Kim's story. Kennedy is his Warrior and Dae is her Champion! Kennedy saved a stranger from certain death, not knowing that they'd be each other's future. Their story is full of fire, fight, forgiveness and love. Dae was not intimidated by Kennedy's family, because he excepted her and everything associated with Kennedy as his. Tiffany Patterson, thank you for bringing the Townsends to life! 💯🔥🥰👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
What a great book. Kennedy and Dae make a great couple. He was the perfect addition to the Townsend family. Kennedy and Kyle are certainly their fathers children. I fall more in love with Aaron with each book, poor Anastasia. Hurry and read this book
4.5-star rating. The world-building is awesome, and the romance is smokin’; it is worth reading. I thought Aaron and Kyle were intense. Dae, I have no words for his type of intensity. When it comes to his obsession with Kennedy, Dae reminds me so much of Aaron. Kennedy holds her own against Dae’s intensity. One act of kindness will forever connect two souls. Kennedy has no idea what that one act of kindness will unleash or how it will affect her life in the future. Dae Kim was ready to end it all until an angel came to his rescue. One remembers their chance meeting, the other does not, but they are on an orchestrated collision course. If you loved Aaron and Patience's story, you will love this one just as much as I did.
I received an advance reader copy of this book from the author. This review is purely from my perspective, and all opinions are my own. I am under no obligation to review the book.
I’ve given it three stars but probably should be lower. I wasn’t feeling Dae at all. I kept reading thinking he’d be redeemed. He wasn’t. Kennedy was annoying at points but not enough for me to dislike her. The Townsend men were also annoying.
I didn’t feel the connection with Dae and Kennedy. I didn’t like Dae’s character at all. I didn’t enjoy my time spent reading this nor would I recommend this book. It’s actually making me think i need to reevaluate how I rate books.
💭This was such a treat for me who is a former K-Drama fan😂 Dae is my dream 𝑐ℎ𝑎𝑒𝑏𝑜𝑙 Hero, just like in one of those shows. I always had a thing for Asian MMC in romance books, so this just hit the right spot for me.
It's a classic rags-to-riches tale. Dae, an illegitimate child of a Korean billionaire, was subjected to such severe mistreatment that he became suicidal. His life took a turn when a teenager named Kennedy saved him, giving him a newfound hope. Determined to become a man worthy of her, Dae becomes obsessed with making a fortune for himself while taking revenge on his dad at the same time. Meanwhile, Kennedy, the daughter of a prestigious family, chooses to forge her own path without relying on her family's privileges. Kennedy was unaware of Dae’s existence, and he’s been stalking and pining for her until they cross paths once more.
This almost felt like a mafia romance with how unhinged Dae is, and I live for it🔥He’s so over-the-top possessive and obsessive, and don’t we love that in an MMC, I know I do😉. The spice is spicin’ and the suspense was intriguing, I had a blast with this story! Now I need to know of their parents’ and siblings’ stories, looking forward to checking them out!
🎧𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄🎧 Maggie and Matt were a delightful surprise as new-to-me narrators! Their performances were captivating, bringing the story to life with emotion and nuance. Each character felt authentic, enhancing the romantic moments beautifully. It was a great performance that made the experience truly enjoyable. Highly recommend the audio of this book!
“I’ve waited years for this kiss and I’ll be damned if I don’t savor it”
Thanks to Must Love Audio for the early listening copy of Save Me by Tiffany Patterson!
- man obsessed - Interracial romance (Black woman/Asian man - Korean) - Billionaire hero, investigative journalist heroine - spicy romance Narrators: Maggie Thompson & Matt Mercurio
There’s men who are obsessed, and then there’s Dae Kim. A man who, with a single interaction a decade ago, became so obsessed with Kennedy Townsend that he built his entire life around her. Everything he did was to have a life worthy of her and he waits, biding his time, until the moment to earn her heart comes to him. And he doesn’t waste a single moment once he decides it’s time!
She doesn’t know the depth of his obsession - she’s a renowned investigative journalist and to her he’s nothing more than a rich man who might be a good lead to a story she’s working on. But while he can’t give her all the answers she seeks, he gives her everything else, and as they spend more time together his past and her investigation start to overlap.
Their romance is so beautiful - I was giddy over how obsessed Dae was but also fist pumping the air over home take-no-shit Kennedy was. These two can go toe to toe in a mesmerizing way. And I’d be remiss to not mention the spice, which was phenomenal in this book (but maybe I’m biased because a man who loves to *eat* is my favorite kind).
As far as audios go, this one was really good. Both narrators had great performances and brought emotion into the characters. I look forward to listening to more audiobooks with them!
4⭐️ for this dark romance! It had been quite a long time since I’ve read a dark romance & enjoyed it! While I found the beginning slow, it really picked up at the 60% mark.
This follows Dae, who is saved as a teenager from being killed by a young girl. As he gets older, his obsession with her expands. Kennedy is an investigative journalist who happens to cross paths with Dae while working on a story & he never lets their paths uncross. While she works to uncover what’s going on in her story, she finds out secrets about Dae & his business partners in the process of falling in love with him.
This is the most possessive and obsessive man I’ve ever read about. Like to the extreme—at times it was a bit off putting, but remembering the genre it makes sense. My main issue with this book though is that the plot didn’t start to get interesting until 60% & it took me so long to get there. Once I hit 60% I finished it that day. I loved the story Kennedy was trying to solve, it was interesting and something I feel like hasn’t been overdone. This was very spicy—4.5/5🔥. There was spice exploration; multiple scenes, & at times I did feel like it overpowered the plot. One of my fave things about this book is the AMBW representation. I loved that our mmc spoke Korean & that the cast of characters throughout the entire book were diverse.
🎧 I didn’t love this audiobook. While I feel like Maggie Thompson’s narration was great, I felt like Matt Mercurio’s wasn’t the best. His pitch differentiated between sentences & that brought me out of the story in moments as well as his inability to voice characters differently. Other than that I listened at 2.5x & had no issues. 3.5/5🎙️
It is now the 3rd book in the series, and we arrived at Kennedy’s story. After her appearances in her twin brother Kyle and cousin Diego stories, I was curious about knowing more about Kennedy. Kennedy Townsend is an investigative reporter for the local paper, following the lead of the latest story. In a turn of events, the story leads her to businessman Dae Kim. Of course, there is much more to their story. Dae Kim is a businessman and owner of the Black Opal. Since first meeting Kennedy over a decade ago, while her family was on vacation in Seoul, she left a lasting impression on him. While they are working together to follow the story, our couple’s relationship. Kennedy is determined to crack the case and write off her budding relationship with Dae as a physical attraction. Then you have Dae who has other plans that he fully intends to make a reality for him and Kennedy. I won’t divulge the full story, but I will say many moments had me on a rollercoaster of emotions.
Dae and Kennedy worked hard to find their identity outside their respective families. Of course, the story wouldn’t complete appearances from a few of our favorites, especially Kennedy’s parents Aaron & Patience. I already knew Aaron would be up to his usual antics time 100. I wasn’t disappointed at all. Dae and Kennedy balanced each other. I enjoyed the story for numerous reasons (i.e. steamy romance, humor, and action). I am building my theories on which Townsend will be the next to get their story. Until then I am patiently waiting for the next story.
I rarely give 5 star reviews. The characters must balance one another. I need a strong female lead and an ideal book boyfriend. This was a five star read for me. The cat and mouse game that Dae and Kennedy play had me in my feels, and I loved it! Their first kiss was perfection.
Kennedy is strong and independent, albeit a little whiny when dealing with her nepotism. But I’m still a fan. She wasn’t out there making stupid moves. She navigated her job with intelligence, purpose and safety. Oh, and Aaron is a hot mess. He's a big ass baby when it comes to his daughters. I want to be here for it but I'm not. Patience should have popped him upside the head for pulling the stunt he did. But he's Aaron, so I guess...
Dae is Bea. Hear me out, there’s something about an obsessive man (who’s hot as hell and has worked the last 10 years of his life to be worthy of me) that, when done right and for my safety, is not wrong. I’ll take the stalking and the tracking apps and act like I’m mad at him but by this time I’ve already been manipulated, to an extent, to fall in love with him because he knows EVERYTHING about me and all he wants to do is love and protect me. I promise I’ll get over it. The things that Dae did for Kennedy on the most intimate level that had nothing to do with sex had me at a loss for words and that says alot…
My final note, stalker-ish or not, in the words of Theodora Taylor’s, Go Gutierrez from His Pretend Baby, “I planned for you.” and Dae Kim planned for Kennedy Townsend.
What to Expect: - Billionaire Romance - Romantic Suspense - Marriage of Convenience - He Falls First - AMBW - Boy Obsessed
Save Me was my first book by Tiffany Patterson, and it did not disappoint. This book has romance, secrets revealed, and some twists. I was hooked from the start. Dae was unhinged in the most delicious way. The "touch her and 💀" vibes made me giddy! He was possessive and completely obsessed with Kennedy. Dae has a hard exterior and definitely some darkness in him, but he also has a soft side. I loved Kennedy's character. She was fierce, strong, and could hold her own. Although she comes from a wealthy family, she didn't let her family's wealth define her, and was forging her own path in life. The suspense element had me on the edge of my seat, and the spice was SPICIN'! I had so much fun listening to this story and can't wait to dive into the other books in this series.
NARRATION: Maggie Thompson and Matt Mercurio's narration was outstanding! They were really engaging and brought the characters to life. Maggie and Matt made the characters feel real and enhanced my listening experience. The audiobook is a great way to experience this story, and I highly recommend it.
Thanks to Tiffany Patterson, Must Love Audio, and Lyric Audiobooks for the gifted audiobook. Opinions expressed are my own.
It’s so strange but yet so normal to view the character of this series as family because in hindsight they are . I have read these books over the years and have grew up with the Townsend’s as I have grown with my own family. It is amazing what a good book can do for the soul and how something can completely transform your mind into blocking out all the pain and stress that you feel in real life . As always Ms.Patterson a great story but this book is going to be my favorite simply because it helped me get through the pain of losing my best friend and my strongest warrior my mother .We sometimes don’t understand the sacrifices a parent is willing to endure to protect their children and as I had to go through the unthinkable and the most difficult thing in my life of cutting off my mother life support and the sitting bedside her bed and watch her die for 12 long hours. I thought back over the years when I didn’t think she did what should have been done in certain situations and through my tears I realized she did what had to be done and in some ways I found a little bit of piece. My mom is and always will be my bravest and toughest warrior and I thank you for this book that reminded me even in death she was always fighting to protect me
I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked this book. I think this author is incredibly talented & I used to be a big fan, but I few years ago, I noticed how her black heroines were always dumbed down to make the hero an even bigger hero. She wrote her black women leads making, self loathing, victimhood & being "unconventionally attractive" their whole personalities. It was so prevalent that it started to make me uncomfortable. Sometimes bw interracial romance authors like to play into racial stereotypes as if it's some sort of kink. It's cringe. I took a chance on this & I loved it. Kennedy was a heroine that was fun to follow. She was smart, ambitious & capable. I loved this couple. They were easy to root for because it felt like they deserved each other. I say this all the time, but readers have to fall in love with both leads, not just the man. When the heroine is lifeless with the agency of a child bride in a cult...well, that's not compelling to read. Infantilizing grown so-called educated women in service to hero worship the man is really reductive, boring & played out. We've had decades of that kind of storytelling in every medium. I'm happy this wasn't another recycled story.
🌶️: start at 50% vanilla sex, around 3 described scenes, might have praise kink and maybe one butt play scene.
dae has spent the last ten years transforming himself into a man worthy of kennedy townsend, the woman who unknowingly saved him on the worst day of his life. now a successful nightclub owner, he’s orchestrated her career moves from behind the scenes, waiting for the right moment to make her his. when kennedy, an investigative reporter, starts digging into a suspicious death connected to a powerful business tycoon, her search leads her straight to dae’s door. the chemistry between them is undeniable, but as kennedy gets closer to the truth, she realises dae may be hiding more than just his feelings for her.
this was my first tiffany patterson book, and it did not disappoint! i was immediately hooked on dae and kennedy's intense romance, with dae being obsessed to the point of almost unhealthy levels. the suspense had me on the edge of my seat, needing to know who was involved. it gave me soft mafia romance vibes because dae is so over-the-top possessive, and sometimes i just eat that shit up. i’m keen to read the rest of the books in this series now.
If the saying is true, that a woman will marry someone like their dad, then yKennedy definitely picked a version of her father. Dae Kim and Kennedy Townsend are my new favorite couple.(Sorry Aaron and Patience) Dae knows how to bring the heat and will make you swoon. Seeing Kennedy all grown up is great. She is independent and fierce. She lives up to her nickname “little warrior”. Tiffany Patterson is excellent at pairing her couple’s personalities in her stories. The men have enough alpha to make you swoon and the women have enough independence to be their own person while accepting the fierce love and protection from their men. I love stories that have the main characters meet in the past, but somehow come together in the present. Dae spent years becoming the man he felt Kennedy deserved. Kennedy became an investigative reporter standing up for truth. Their relationship is beautiful and at times hot hot hot. I hate it when a story I love ends, but the beautiful thing about books is you can reread them as much as you like and this is definitely a book I will be rereading. I received an arc in exchange for honest review
This book hasa really good plot that is not like other romance books that are out there. This one follows a man named Dae Kim who was only eighteen years old who wanted nothing more than to die because of his rocky relationship with his father who singled him out from the family business and replaced by his father's son in law. He is being attacked by the goons who work for his father, and he is saved by a girl named Kennedy Townsend a girl who gave him a new purpose to live since then he has been obsessed with her ever since. The two of them meet again years later when she is an established investigative journalist who is looking into the suspicious deaths that were ruled out as suicides the owner who owns the companies was a former partner along with Dae Kim hence why they crossed paths to meet so she could find some answers. I really enjoyed reading this book as it was good to see that the two of them work together in his revenge plot. And I also liked the attraction towards they had for each other was just as good.
