Part One of Two Book Adventure, Gore, and World Devastation!
Beat it! That would be my best advice, given all that is contained on these pages. It’s not like you’re going to feel better after reading; there are no glass slippers at this ball. Still here? My name is Emma, I used to be human and now I’m something else. My problem—aside from your face—is humanity. I endured a metamorphosis from hell, I wield power I still don’t fully understand, and I have suffered loss … that I cannot articulate. Perhaps, like you, I am ignorant of the gifts I have been given. Even with centuries, you humans just don’t get any better and I’ve crossed time and space to see it. So, this book is a final last words before I set out on one more journey. You see, I’ve met a man, a tall, dark stranger and I think he might just be our apocalypse.
Retired First Sergeant and surgical medic. The author of Angel Teeth Archives series. ‘The line between gods and monsters is a shifting illusion created in one’s own mind.’
I love fantasy type books and the author did a fabulous job of creating something that lies between a vampire and a werewolf but has a its own unique identity. I looked forward to reading it each moment I had and can’t wait for the follow up novel to it!
The book was meh. The writing style needs some polishing and it's a little ubsurd to think that someone who was in the thousands of years old would talk like a 40 year old. The idea is interesting, but the time jumps and descriptions just make no sense. One point she talks about walking in her happy place and the next she's describing what really happened during that time. The ending was also just bad. I get it was written that way to lead into the next book, but there had to be a better way to do it. Describing Lucas's gifter as an asshole made sense that he would still be alive since he probably didn't want to be bothered by people about him, but having him just pop back into existence at the end with someone else who also disappeared was a little too much.

The concept of the Evols was really intriguing to me, but I unfortunately wasn't a fan of the writing style. The MC just narrating a bunch of events that happened in the past tense was pretty boring to me, and the ending was so ridiculous. Characters who have been gone for years just suddenly coming back... it's not my cup of tea. So much potential here, but I felt the execution was just boring and dragged on and on.
Excellent weird and wonderful first book. Great cover art. For a new author it was well written. The beginning is purposefully quiet and longing to make you feel the isolation. Then, new characters enter changing the trajectory of the story. The ending forces you to want to read the second book immediately, which I will be starting shortly. I look forward to more of the Angel Teeth series.
Time is zooming past and we are becoming a new species. Fantastic read about an almost immortal being becoming well…we don’t know but it’s badass. Already reading book two! I love Emma and how much her character grows in this story. I also love all of her new family and their characters I laughed and cried with their interactions. Oh the bear….
Well worth the read, the main character is hilarious with very much of a hard-boiled attitude. Tired of sweet unrealistic stories? Then read this book and the don’t forget the rest of what you need to know would be found in the following books. People so often forget that a duology means there are two books of the same story, don’t give up at the end of the first.
I read both the first and second book. The first few chapters of the first book were a little confusing, but as I got further into the story it all made since. I really enjoyed the story and look forward to reading more books by the author.
Couldn’t get through it . Just wasn’t for me. I appreciate having won it in the giveaway but it was just too wordy, too much loss right off the bat and really couldn’t relate to main character. Only made it through the 1st 3 chapters.
Finallllyyyy, a real version of what and how life would go down as…. Well, I won’t spoil it. Gory and lonely in the beginning then picks up and moves faster. I read this a bit ago and am in the middle of book 2, which so far has proven to be above and beyond expectations.
Great read! The first few chapters are meant to make you feel the isolation and then by the 4th or 5th chapter, it breaks into a gallop and gets faster and faster. Had an excellent time all the way through. I will be starting book 2 immediately!
Incredible. The first part is a realistic portrayal of transformation and then it takes off in a great crazy way. So glad I stuck with it. A total and original surprise and I cannot wait to start the second book!
Well done. I loved how the main character felt like they were a friend just telling an incredible story. Real and raw. Sad and gory at times. Up and down roller coaster. Excellent fantasy/mystery/horror. Can’t wait to find out how it ends in the second book.
Well done. A true journey. This book starts off low and almost sad but gradually changes into an enjoyable and original storyline. The main character is very well developed and a realistic feel sets in. Can’t wait to read book 2.
Very interesting book. Like nothing I’ve read before. It felt like I was sitting in a bar listening to a cool ass story from a friend. The main character speaks plainly, honest, and raw. Well done. I will be reading book 2 for sure.
Book was very creative and ultimately enjoyed it until we got towards the end. It left me confused at the end, purposely keeping us in the dark about some things but a bit disappointed that the end of the book left me thinking WTF and that this author seems to really hate the human race.
New, wild, really fun. It slides you into a painful portrayal of a person we might know, or maybe are, and then flips everything in the best horrific way possible. Leaves you wanting more and I couldn’t wait to crack into the follow-up book! Great first half.
I fell in love with the main character. She says it like it is and reacts the way you would want a person to in this book with these situations. Vivid descriptions and realistic world and folklore tropes.
This was so much fun, highs, lows, and awesomeness galore! I wasn’t sold on it the first few chapters but everything became clearer in the best way! And the end blew my mind! I had to immediately get the second book to see what happened.
A great book. Unusual the way the main character speaks. Very plain, like you’re really chatting with a friend in a bar or something. It’s neat and raw. Can’t wait to read the next book!
