Beau Stafford looks forward to what he hopes is a pleasant and uneventful future with his long-time wife, Marie, and only daughter, Em. He spends his days working on cars in his garage and enjoying his wife's home cooking -- until unexpected ghosts of the past resurface and he is forced to confront an unresolved chapter in his life. Beau quickly learns that comfortable does not always mean "safe," and he must now protect his family from an evil he thought he had put behind him.
Not the story I was expecting and definitely not the ending I was expecting either. Written by a Facebook friend who let me know she put out her first book. I like seeing people achieve their dreams. The characters (for the most part) were loving folks and I liked their dialogues and the way she describes things. Well done, Kasi. Does the work on the car ever finish? I'll never know.
This book grabbed my attention from the beginning. I read it in just one day. It was well written and I hope it will help some people understand what gay people not only went through in past but are still going through today
