Since Eva's birth, Will has done everything in his power to protect her from harm. Icepond, burning slowly from the overwhelming power of two suns, must turn to its king for survival. Eva has known of the prophecy all of her life and understands the decision she must face. When Will comes to Eva as the sun threatens his kingdom and his people, asking her to live in Icepond, Eva demands that she be more than a savior to his world... she will settle for nothing less than queen. The king of Icepond struggles to shield his heart from his own young, fiery queen, realizing what he has truly known from the moment he saved her infant life one cold, snowy night... He was destined to love her.
This is my least favourite book of the series because most of the time I wanted to whack Eva in the face. She did nothing but act like a spoilt, whiny little brat for the majority of the book. The only parts I really like we're the scenes with Roam and West.
Will and Eva's part in the story - Eva is learning magic but creates more problems. Can Eva save the family without bringing evil Troy back. Can she turn back time and save Violet without bringing back Troy - can't wait for the final book Reign
What will Eva's future be: a curse or a blessing? Or will she curse them all with consequences no one could imagine? Only time will tell.
Spirited, impulsive, and sometimes foolish, Eva Camden has been indulged by her parents, Roam and West. Constantly aware of her destiny, they have tried to prepare her for the future, but Eva wants to spread her wings and live in the present. She wants to explore her budding sensuality and party with her friends. Will her inattention to the lessons her parents are trying to teach her come back to haunt her later?
Eva has qualities her peers don't have; she is magical and immortal. Her choice of a future involves more than the people surrounding her...it involves worlds. And the Day of Reckoning has arrived. Does she return to Icepond to save it from burning or ignore their silent pleas and remain on Earth?
Confident, intuitive, and handsome, Will has navigated the intricate political workings of his kingdom to give Eva a chance to grow up before requesting her presence to save his world. From a child to a young woman, he waited for her, even saving her once as a young child when she needed him. Now he needs her, but he is surprised to find a beautiful, passionate, but immature woman is the solution to his world's dilemma. He is perplexed by her ultimatum to be queen, but nothing is too great to be sacrificed for his kingdom. Nothing! Not his fiance, his freedom, or his feelings. Will his sacrifice be enough or will the consequences of these decisions change the universes they now know?
Can Eva mature fast enough for her new responsibilities?
Can Will handle these new challenges in his life?
Can they learn to rule together and learn to love on another?
The fifth installment of this series weaves intrigue, mystery, and magic in a tale of prophesy, sacrifice, and maturity of feelings. Impulsive actions, misunderstandings, and a growing love between these well developed characters keeps you enthralled from beginning to end.
I would highly recommend this book! Excellent read!
I was anxiously awaiting this book and I knew it would be an action packed story. I loved it! (Reading the first 4 books REALLY IS A MUST because you need to know the whole story and the backgrounds of the characters).
Little Eva is all grown up and to say she is a 'challenge' is an understatement. She is spoiled, self assured, and was raised knowing how to protect/defend herself. When Will, her king (as she refers to him in her mind througout her life) travels to her world to see if she has made her choice- going over to Icepond to his kingdom - or staying where she is, with her family in her world (Earth) she has a huge decision to make. There are so many avenues traveled in this book and each and every one connects the dots. We learn a lot more of Will and his kingdom, the evil departed Troy (evil is not even CLOSE to what a sleazy skank this psycho was), Henry Asher and his story, and more of West and Roam's life together. There are some surpsrises along the way (and I needed a tissue at one or more times while reading).
It was a well written book and it held my attention from the Prologue to the final sentence on the last page! I have to admit, like all the books in the 'Roam' series, I have read it two more times!
I enjoyed the whole Roam series, and Roam & West became my favourite couple in the beginning.... Love the whole magic, prophecy, eternal everlasting love... However, as the story progresses, i cant help feel like Roam betrays that pure love, by sleeping with Logan. that's just a no for me. And so EVA & WILL became the power and highlight couple that i adore so much. i feel Eva and will should have an extra book but overall its fine. their love is pure and untainted. And theres humor in it that makes it bearable lolz. Logan betraying Violet's love is just disappointing beyond measure and pretty screwed up. HAHA anyways, love this series, especially this book in particular centering EVA AND WILL hehe
Kimberly, you've done it again! I am in love with the characters even more! It is going to be very difficult to say good-bye to them when the final book comes out.....seriously!!! I love the focus on Will and Eva!. You made me laugh out loud and then in a few pages I was holding my breathe! I love the "teenage angst" type of attitude and her magic is a perfect match!! But, the ending.......ugh!!!!! I need the final book, like yesterday, but at the same time I want to savour these characters before I have to say farewell and begin another of your fabulous books!
I absolutely love this series. At first I thought I was going to miss West and Roam as this book is about Will and Eva. After reading it, I fall in love with both Eva and Will. From the first chapter, I knew I was not going to be able to put this book down. Eva is an incredible fiery redheaded girl. She's passionate and impulsive. Will is so totally hot and he had a hard time controlling Eva. Some parts of the book had me laughing and some parts were emotional. Kimberly has written another amazing book to this series and I totally recommend reading it.
Very very good. I only wish that Eva would have been a little more mature in the beginning. West and Roam have been preparing her for her potential life in Icepond so I would have expected her to be more mature at 17. And the way she always referred to Will as her king in previous books, you knew that she loved him. It would have been nice to see an instant spark there between them, since that was her destiny. Even still, I loved it.
This book sucks you right in.... while a lot of it takes you by surprise, there are definitely pieces you expect... I love that with every installment of this saga, you learn more about how it all came to be... initially I was intrigued by Roam and West, but I now feel that Eva is the glue to this story. I love the range of emotions and the little surprises along the way... can't wait to read the last book
You will definitely be on the edge of your seat reading this book! Each passing word will definitely grab and keep you reading and hoping for the exciting last page! Between rooting for the success of Eva and her family, the pain they face will touch your heart! Excellent!
4.5 stars. I love how Eva's character is in this book. She has grown up. She says what she wants and dosen't back and will do anything to protect her family. My kind of girl!! Loved this book. Was mad at myself for not realizing that the last book isn't out yet. Can't wait!
As usual with this wonderful series, I was quickly drawn into the story and characters. I can hardly wait for Reign, but will be sad to say goodbye to all of these characters I love so much!
Will promised Roam he would keep her daughter safe. He has done so since she was first found in the snow. Now the time has come to ask her to come to Icepond to keep his world from burning. Eva has grown up knowing the prophecy and has no intention of giving up her life, however, when someone she loves is threatened, she changes her mind. Will knew Eva as a child but now she is a fiery young woman who sets his heart aflame. Unfortunately, his father's legacy won't allow them peace.
I enjoyed this book so much more than the previous one. Eva is beautiful, magically powerful, nearly a trained assassin, confident, and sassy. She's also immature, short-tempered, spoiled, and acts without thinking but she has so much potential. Will is the perfect man for her. He's steady, patient, wise, and accepting. He falls in love with all of her. With his influence and love Eva matures, becomes more empathetic but never loses her spirit. She's passionate, he's peaceful and they are the perfect pair. I love how her growth came from getting true glimpses into her parents' lives and suffering. This was the perfect way to tie in both couples' stories.
West and Roam have dreaded this moment ever since Eva was born, the bringer of the sun. Eva needs to decide whether she would be helping Icepond or be selfish and condemn the world. It's a no brainer choice since her brother's life will be in jeopardy if Eva chooses to stay. So, to ensure things would run smoothly on the other side, she demands to be the queen, to rule besides Will, only in title or so she thought.
I think Eva deserves her own three books like her mother, Roam. Most of the time, Eva portrays as a whinny spoiled teenage brat. If she were to have a longer story, I believe we would enjoy reading her journey towards maturity and becoming a powerful witch.
I absolutely love this series. At first I thought I was going to miss West and Roam as this book is about Will and Eva. After reading it, I fall in love with both Eva and Will. From the first chapter, I knew I was not going to be able to put this book down. It’s full of action, the story is unpredictable and so intelligent as missing pieces from the other books are explained within the complicated time travel/past lives theme. I really loved Will and Eva together. I definitely recommend this book now onto book 6…
Wow these books are amazing. There is so much going on in so many different time lines it can be a little confusing to keep up however it is absolutely brilliant I can’t get enough of these characters in their stories. Please have an absolutely brilliant performance from everyone involved it really does make this audiobook amazing. #Pink flamingo productions #FlockReview #AudiobookObsessionReviewer
Another fast paced, suspense filled story! Little Eva is all grown and she must fulfill the prophecy! Eva and Will’s tale is as amazing as her parents.
Low 3 stars. This is definitely my least favorite book of the series so far. I’m not a fan of Eva and didn’t really feel the chemistry between her and Will.
Sweet little Eva is all grown up and a bit of a spoiled brat, but will she rise to the occasion and save her family? Another great adventure, with an ending leaving you on the edge of your seat.
I have been thoroughly enjoying this series as I make my way through it. This book focus’s on Eva and gives us more to the story of Roam and West that I have been eager to know about. Not going to lie, Eva annoyed the hell out of me in the beginning. Her demands and seemingly childish tantrums and were a bit maddening especially knowing her intelligence and power. However, while annoyed with Eva I quickly fell more in love with Will. Even more so than my love for the character of West. Yeah, I know! I couldn’t believe it either. It is hard to describe why, you just have to read it to see for yourself why Will is freaking awesome.
Will showed great patience, determination and above all restraint when it came to Eva. He was also able to see past her immature behavior to the amazing woman who lied beneath. I mean lets face it, girl has got skill. She was taught by West from a young age how to fire a gun and kick some major butt.
As the story progressed I got to watch Eva grow and change and evolve as a character. She lost a good portion of her immaturity and started becoming responsible and thinking of others. She has some slips of course but she owns up to those. She has a strength of body and mind that is undeniable and amazing.
I was so glad I got to find more of the back story to this great series and I am excited to read the 6th and final book, Reign.
In the 5th installment we get to see a grown Ava and her choices that she has to make. We have knowen that the time would come but I wasn prepared for how much I would love her and Will together.
We learn a lot of things about the characters in this story, as individuals and together. I loved how strong-willed Ava was thru out this whole story, she was like this source of greatness that's waiting to be unleashed. Will was a little more reserved then I thought he would be but it worked well in the end.
Needless to say I am scared to see what will happen in the last book! But I can't help but be sucked into the m remainer of this story! 4.5 stars
I loved this book and literally read it in hours. Didn't think I would like the story as much without it being from Roam and West's POV. Loved Eva and Will as the main couple. Even though it ended in a cliffhanger, I already have the final book so I can continue on to it right away!! Can I give this one 10 stars?
