Its always been you, especially those nights he was having one night stands. Or the ones he spent fucking Amanda, one of the select few he repeted.
Of fucking course she was stupid enough to be never for proper date for seven fucking years while he had his fun constantly. She never allowed a man to get to cloee and never reached a release easily with other man like it is with him 😞 I bet he had no problem with the "beautiful" Amanda
Sexist, they broke up, he gets to fuck tons of other women. She never truly date other than going in a few dates at a time with a man and ending shortly after because of fear of getting hurt.
He loved the heroine so much, he never forget her, his feelings never diminished. Yet two weeks before she was back he was fucking other woman.
I wondered if authors fell pleasure writing this diagusting stories always making the women a pathetic fool.
This disgusting whore of a hero has less appeal than a rabbit dildo.
Why are books with celibate heroines and heros who aren't always called some variation of "it's always been you" lol like no it really hasn't, it's always been you....after I sleep around for a bit
Yet another 2nd chance where Hero whores around during separation while heroine stays frozen. Why can't they ever both stay celibate ? Will his manhood and man-card be ruined if he stays true? LOL.
After I broke up with Savanna years ago, I spent most of my time with one-night stands just to get her out of my head, but it never worked. One of those women happens to be the one standing behind the counter. I’ve always made it a point not to have more than one night with the women I come in contact with, but Amanda has been one of the select few that I spent more than one night with.
It doesn’t matter how many nights I spend with another woman though, not when the only one I can think about is the exact woman I pulled over tonight. Seeing her brought all the hurt and regret rushing back, even if I knew it was the only choice I had at the time and I can’t help but wonder what it would be like to have her in my life again.
STOP THE PRESS. Another author who writes celibate FMCs who can't have a fulfilling sexual life and exist in UTTER AND COMPLETE romantic and sexual isolation while the MMC literally treats ALL women like a receptacle for his cock and easily tries to replace her or fuck away his feelings.
Girl, your internalized misogyny is BIG SHOWING.🙄
How bad are you getting dog walked by men IRL that even in your imagination and even in FICTION you can't write women getting treated with dignity and can't imagine them existing as more than an object for physical pleasure for men? Girl share with the class! Who did you dirty??
You can't even write women as having a fulfilling sexual or romantic life outside of relationship the MMC while he fucks everything with a pulse? So women as secondary characters are also just human fleshlights for the MMC? He can't even be written as having a healthy and non misogynistic/ EXPLOITATIVE perspective about women in general???? Got it.
"It's always been you....but also everyone else oh and AMANDA. I'm not done treating women as an object for my pleasure and sleeping around."
Wish I would've listened to the DNF reviews but hey passed the time waiting while running some errands! This ones for the girlie pops that love to SETTLE both in life and in your reading choices!

Savanna and Dawson are the cutest high school sweethearts, but Dawson breaks up with her out of the blue, and with no decent explanation. This absolutely shatters Savanna.
Fast forward 7 years, and Savanna needs to return home for the first time since graduating due to her dad having a heart attack. But this return journey brings back all the heartbreak from high school. And of course, she's going to run into Dawson.
The emotions in this story are intense. You can feel so much of Savanna's pain, and when you learn why Dawson did what he did it shifts the entire dynamic.
The characters are well written, and their thoughts and feelings are shown in a way that really endears them to the reader.
This was a really good, heart-wrenching story where love wins in the end, but it's quite the journey we have to go through with the characters to get there.

I have always believed in second chances and Dawson and Savanah definitely deserved their second chance! They were always madly in love and I don’t think that ever stopped. This story was a page turner for sure! The rollercoaster of emotions I felt along with Dawson and Sav was just 😩 🥰
Dawson broke Savanna’s heart seven years ago. Now she’s back to her town and they met again. Dawson is still in love with Savannah and wants to win her over again. Will she be able to forgive him and will they be able to find happiness together?.

Dawson and Savanna found each other in high school and despite their young age, they have deep feelings for each other. Nothing seems to stand in their way, and they dream of a future together as they make their college plans. Until one day, Dawson breaks up with her for seemingly no real reason, with no real explanation. Unable to stay in the small town of Maple Creek, where she has to see the boy who broke her heart every day, Savanna moves to Chicago as soon as they graduate high school.
She goes to college, builds a career, and lives a seemingly happy life. But in the meantime, she can't seem to form a serious relationship with any man, because she's looking for her former love in everyone. When her brother calls years later with the news that their father had a heart attack, although Savanna would do anything to avoid seeing Dawson again, she travels home to be with her ailing father.
Despite Savanna's attempts to convince herself that she no longer has feelings for the man who years ago shattered their dreams without explanation, years later it still drives all her decisions. She has left her loved ones behind and moved to the big city, she hasn't seen her family for years, and she rarely sees her best friend. When their paths cross again after her return home, it doesn't take long to become clear that he wants to start over, but Savanna has built walls protecting her heart too high over the years.
Years later, Dawson still can't forget the girl whose heart he was bound to break. Although he has no regrets about his decision to stay in the small town to look after his brother instead of going to university, he considers hurting the person he loves the most to be the biggest mistake of his life. When she travels home to be with her sick father, he feels that life has given him a second chance to make up for what he once did wrong. Dawson decides to act on this opportunity and do everything he can to win back the love of his life so they can live the life together they've always dreamed of.
While there were some sympathetic or interesting characters in the story - such as Savanna's brother Easton and his little daughter, aka Savanna's niece Bethany - I was a little disappointed by the lack of depth and character development of the main characters. I didn't feel I could really get to know them and therefore found it difficult to identify with them or feel anything for them. There was a lack of insight into their feelings, thoughts and motivations, which made it difficult to connect with the book and maintain interest.
Although the book showed us the main characters' struggles and development, it did not give us enough opportunity to really get into their complex and deep inner world. Nonetheless, "It's Always Been You" is a delightful story with a unique charm given by the small town and its characters. Unfortunately, I can't count the first book in the Maple Creek series as one of my personal favorites. Still, I will definitely read the next part, and I'm curious to see what new adventures and characters await us in this charming little town.

Savanna has been away from her hometown since she graduated high school, shortly after the boyfriend she’d expected to spend the rest of her life with broke up with her without giving her a reason. Dawson broke his own heart as well as Savanna’s when he made the choice to stay behind and protect his younger brother from their abusive father. Following her father’s heart attack, Savanna returns to her childhood home where she immediately runs into Dawson. She refuses to speak with him, and despite his best efforts she avoids him or rebuffs his attempts to speak with her for the first third of the book. Will they be able to reconnect and rekindle their love affair as adults? This book had a great deal of promise. It was overall pretty good. What I didn’t like about is was the lack of on page interaction between Savanna and her parents. As late as chapter seven, there’d been no mention of Savanna’s father’s health, nor a substantive discussion between her and any of her childhood friends. It seems highly unlikely given the small town setting where everyone presumably knew both Savanna and Dawson. I received an advance reader copy from the author and booksprout and I’m sharing my honest thoughts.

This is the first book that I have read by Gina and will not be the last. The story starts off with Dawson breaking up with Savanna right before highschool graduation. All of her dreams are shattered after her breakup. They both are so in love with each other that they are not able to find another person to be with. She feels like she is not worth of love since Dawson left her and did not explain why. He had a valid reason and he should have confide in her and let he make her own decision, but he was stupid and made the decision for both of them. Savanna stayed away from her hometown and family for seven years because she didn't want to see Dawson. Until a family emergency makes her come back to town and the first person she sees is Dawson behind a police officer badge.
*Small town *Second Chance *True love *Lovers to enemies to lovers *Highschool sweethearts
These are what I see when I read this book and I want more of them.
Dawson and Savanna are high school sweethearts with plans for the future (college, marriage, kids, building a home). One night during their senior year, Dawson abruptly ends their relationship giving no reason.
After graduation, Savanna leaves town to live her life. Fast forward seven years, Savanna is called home and her only goal is to avoid Dawson at all costs, because she still loves him. Dawson hasn't stopped loving Savanna and will have to open his heart to tell her the real heartbreaking reason for ending their relationship.
Once both realize that they truly love each other, the repair to their relationship begins for their second chance at true love!.

This book was very repetitive. It was ok that the story focused mainly on the main characters but there were opportunities missed to delve a little deeper into the reason the author chose for the break up. We could have been given a more inside look at just what he was dealing with. I had to skim most of the book as I'd heard it all before so I don't even know or think the author mentions what happened in that situation and was his choice justified. He ended up going to the academy so he had to have left home. Maybe I missed that. I don't require a lot of depth but there should me more than, don't trust, still love, don't want to get hurt, repeat, repeat, repeat.
They were high school sweethearts who had planned out their lives together until Dawson called everything off leaving Savanna devastated. Savanna went ahead with her plans of leaving town. Years later she returns when her father goes to the hospital. The first person she sees coming back is the man that broke her heart, Dawson. He can't believe that she is more captivating than before and the feelings are still there. Will they get a second chance to rekindle their love and will it lead them to happiness.

Savannah and Dawson had planned their life out but he threw it all away when he split up with her. She swore she would never return home until her father had a heart attack and all the old hurts were raked up again.
Savannah is home but is adamant that she will not let Dawson in so that he can hurt her again.
Dawson never wanted to let Savannah go but circumstances dictated he should so now she's back all bets are off.
A heartwarming second chance romance between two individuals who never stopped loving each other.

Dawson and Savanna are high school sweethearts and have been playing their future...until Dawson ends it and Savanna flees. Seven years pass and she is called home, only to run into a grown Dawson on her way into town. Dawson had tried to forget Savanna but, seeing her again, brings all his feelings back. Can he get a second chance with the love of his life? Can Savanna risk her heart again? I loved Dawson's determination to explain what happened and totally understand Savanna's reluctance to trust again. Good read!.

Unwrap your inner romantic side by reading this really wonderful book. You will find out by reading this book that the characters Dawson and Savanna are genuine and show lots of love for each other, but Dawson broke Savanna's heart and she isn't easily going to forgive and forget, or will she? This book will keep you on your toes and look out because it is only book number 1 in the start of a new series. The only downside to this book is that it ended.

This is the perfect 2nd chance small town romance. It has so much tension and angst and you can feel the heartbreak through the characters. The FMC Savannah is feisty and strong and she is not easily swayed by pretty words which I love about her. She definitely makes Dawson work for the simplest conversation. The story moved at a perfect pace it is a great read.
~~Tropes~~ 🚨2nd Chance 🚨Small Town 🚨Lovers to Strangers to Enemies to Lovers
~~Quotes~~ 📚The longer she's out here and I'm here. I'll always be hurting. I don't know want to be here without her. 📚I could never give up on you. You're my reason for living, Sav. My soulmate. You're stuck with me.
A steamy, second-chance romance for high school sweethearts, Sav and Dawson. After Dawson broke Sav’s heart in their senior year of high school, Sav continued on with the life they had planned. Seven years later, Sav is called back to her hometown and the love she tried to deny is stronger than ever!!
Sav did ruffle my feathers a bit, she was indeed very stubborn. Almost to the point I wanted to stop reading.
Sweet and short. Got this read in a day. If you love love, definitely give this book a read.

This is Book 1 in the Maple Creek Series by this author. It is a sweet second chance romance between former high school sweethearts, Savanna and Dawson. These likeable characters and the unique plot make for an enjoyable read. Once they reconnect, it is a bumpy ride with some drama and steam, sexual tension and chemistry, and appealing secondary characters to keep the reader interested. An engaging page turner.

This was my first time reading Gina Norris and wasn't really sure how I was going to feel about a new to me author, but I genuinely liked this story. I do enjoy a good second chance at love story. I've never lived in a small town, so I can only imagine what small town life is like and how everyone probably knows your business before you do, but my goodness, there was a lot happening between Savanna and Dawson that could have gone eleventy-two ways if the right people just communicated. Overall, a good book and I can't wait to read more from Ms. Norris.
This book was okay. The heartache was there, but the h didn't fight hard enough. There has to be a balance between giving in so there's sex and a connection, and pushing back because she's scared of being hurt again. As soon as she asked for the FWB arrangement, I knew she was going to fold like a wet sheet of paper. I won't read this again.

Thank you to Gina Norris for allowing me to read an ARC copy of this book. I really enjoyed it. I just didn't like how Dawson wasn't communicating with Savanna when he was in a bad headspace. It didn't feel like a good excuse for breaking up with her out of nowhere, but I'm glad that the romance was able to rekindled throughout the course of this book. I will definitely check out Gina Norris' other works in the future.
Dawson and Savannah second chance romance is first book in Maple Creek Series. The storyline is full of angst, some drama, broken hearts and miscommunication or rather lack of it. That happened 7 years ago but what could happen now when their paths crossed again. Interesting, entertaining ,engaging and enjoyable story.

Dawson and Savanna had been high school sweethearts. Savanna thought everything was going well until unexpectedly Dawson broke up with her, she was devastated. To rub salt in the wound Dawson didn’t give her a reason for the breakup. Seven years later they are their hometown, you guessed it, Dawson is NOW ready to come clean to Savanna about the breakup. This second chance love story is a very enjoyable read.
This Booksprout ARC is a very interesting feel good read.
I enjoyed reading this book. Once I started reading it, I wanted to keep going. The characters have a great connection and I was cheering them on to their potential HEA. I would recommend reading this book. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
