EDIT: I knew it was coming that one day I wake up and think about this book again and hate most about it. So I actually re-read HannahGarrett's novella again and felt sooo disappointed. Love the idea of them being the first book in the series and then, the last book ending with their chapters, but Elle Kennedy did (all) the characters so dirty... 😭

The Legacy is not what I have in mind when I think of an epilogue novel(las). If you decide to write additional novella for each couple, then I expect a lot of domestic fluff and not fights about important milestones like marriage, pregnancy, kids etc. These kind of conflicts can be handled in each couple's full lenght novel. I really expected more happy scenes between each couple and instead we got some heavy stuff and unnecessary fights & drama.
BUTTTT despite all these issues that I have with this book, I still had a good time (mostly) reading this and I'm feeling generous right now to round up the 3.5 stars. Maybe tomorrow morning I'll wake up and choose violence and round down, we'll see. 😈
It's just one of those books, when I was reading it, I enjoyed it, but the more I think about it, the more issues I have with it. Was The Legacy great? No, far from it. I'd even go so far to call it pretty trash, but I went into this book with the lowest expectations (and so should you), so it turned out to be more entertaining than expected. It's nice to get some glimpses into where all of the Off Campus couples are now, but that's it.

(3.5 – The Pact – stars)
This novella was already published so there wasn't much new content to Logan and Grace story, but surprisingly I didn't enjoy it any less the second time around, even tho this couple is not my favorite in the series. Grace and Logan's part of the book is probably the most chill out of all the four couples. Their 'conflict' wasn't as bad as the others and Logan and Grace had the most couple time where they were happy in each other company imo.
How did I forget what a dork Logan is? 😭

(4 – The Proposal – stars)
I forgot how funny Dean can be, cause I had a blast being in his head again. It started out amazing with Dean practising his proposal infront of Garrett and Logan. These guys together are the comedian trio I didn't know I needed 😂 And the guys planning Tucker's bachelor party???! Omg I love it. Brilliant idea of inviting all their former teammates and playing hockey together. The friendship between Dean, Garrett, Logan and Tucker was hands down the best part of this whole book.
I have a new found respect for Tucker after that psycho monologue of telling Dean that he would commit suicide on his deathbed just to steal his thunder as a warning that Dean is not allowed to propse at his weding 😂😂 Man, I didn't think Tucker had it in him, but he went full on ginger crazy 😂
And then we have the conflict of Allie not wanting to get married anytime soon and stopping Dean before he could propose, which was stupid. Even tho it was cute when Allie realised her mistake and propsed to Dean instead.
»»--- Tucker & Sabrina ---««
(2.75 – The Honeymoon – stars)
Elle Kennedy did Tucker and Sabrina so dirty. Once again. Their book was already not the best and this novella was a great opportunity to give some cute couple time together, but noo??? The first chapter was good with Tucker and Jamie and then with each chapter it just got worse and worse.
Sabrina and Tucker literally went to their honeymoon in hell. Anything that could go wrong, went wrong. Plane crash. Check. Stung by a jellyfish. Check. Sunburn. Check. Coconut falling on your head. Check.
The plot with the doll that the guys were gifting to each other was hilarious. It was always interesting to see where Alexander would appear next, only to see the couples' reaction to it. 😂
»»--- Garrett & Hannah ---««
(3.49 – The Legacy – stars)
Hannah and Garrett's part was the one I was looking forward the most, because they are my babies. So I was bummed to see how sad they were (Hannah with never finding the right moment to tell Garrett about the pregnancy and Garrett with having to deal with his abusive father all the time).
When Elle Kennedy said "The Legacy" what she really meant is Garrett protecting his father's "legacy" and I'm feeling like the biggest clown on earth. 🤡 How I thought that this book might pave the way for future Off Campus generation, but so much of the HannahGarrett novella was just Garrett being in a shitty mood, because no one knows what his father is really like, bc Garrett is too embarrassed of his past to tell anyone.
But the other domestic HannahGarrett moment we got, I ate them up. Garrett is such a dumbass and I love him for it. When he thought that Hannah would be moving out and run to the studio to make his declaration lmao or when he found out that they are expecting twins. Goal of the year, they say, but I say comedian of the year. 😂
And the bromance between Logan and Garrett?? If I didn't ship Garrett and Hannah together, I'd would consider Logan x Garrett as a good pairing.
P.s. As much as I like Jake Connelly, but him being the top scorer of the league above Garrett? No that's just not right and unacceptable. When it comes to all things hockey Garrett is always going to be #1 in everything. 😌

“Clearly,” comes Garrett’s dry voice. “By the way, the answer is no. Go ahead and close that box.”

Sabrina and Tucker literally went to their honeymoon in hell. Anything that could go wrong, went wrong. Plane crash. Check. Stung by a jellyfish. Check. Sunburn. Check. Coconut falling on your head. Check.
“Ready?” Tucker says.
“Do it.” Nodding, he winds his arm back and hurls Alexander as far as he possibly can. Then we stand there holding hands, watching the doll bob in the calm waves, slowly carried out to sea. “Go with God,” Tucker says solemnly.
“Babe. He’s going to Satan and we both know it.”
“Truth, darlin’.”

“I was supposed to be your best man.” He leans past me to glare at Logan. “You realize this means when Wellsy and I have a wedding, you’re not best man number one anymore. I’m giving it to Dean. Dean, Tucker, then you.”
Logan leans forward too. “No, you’re not. It’s going to be me first.”
Garrett sighs. “It’s going to be you first.”
“You two want to get a room?” I ask as they practically hang over me, making googly eyes at each other.

ek really succeeded in ruining these characters for me. she managed to change the entire characters’ personalities in ONE BOOK. while reading some parts i really wondered if she even knows her own characters since they were often unrecognizable. AND ENDING THE BOOK WITH A CLIFFHANGER?? NO. that’s not how you should have written this book elle. i think what all of us readers wanted were just some cute family moments/domestic scenes. all the drama wasn’t necessary. anyway, it would have been better if she hadn’t written the book at all. UGH. SO DISAPPOINTING.

pissed is an understatement. i want to just forget i ever read this book or even knew it existed like just what the fuck. please just someone explain because what. the. fuck.
elle kennedy did her characters so dirty like… does she even know her characters because this was not them.
in all honesty, i dont wanna even get into it but i gotta let it out cjsjkfkg
i adored when they all would be around each other and hang out fjskfk and the humour was great but whenever it was like a ”one on one” with the couples, it was just a disappointment ummm
plus the recycled plots are not it. if you wanna add some drama into short fucking novella then be original at least?? or make it better
can we just all fucking agree that hannahgarrett deserved better. what the fuck did elle kennedy do to my babies?? i wanted to cry out of frustration while reading their novella because never in a million fucking years would their argument take place. nope. just fucking wtf

he shouldve talked about the marriage before and allie is right to be mad. marriage should always be discussed before you commit because i would fucking be mad too if a man just went on one knee without discussing wether or not i want to even be with him lol
on a good note, the content of logan, dean and garrett in this book was gold. i fucking love them.

definitely my favourite part. them helping dean was seriously the highlight of this book. not even just the highlight of the novella; the whole fucking book.
then the bachelor party?? that was fucking smart and soooo good. how they got their old team and the new team to all come together and they just play hockey??

the miscommunication with them was not it tho. tucker shouldve been more open to sabrina like she isnt a mind reader sir. ofc she should make him more of a priority but she has a lot on her plate, give her a break

this was supposed to be all cute and nostalgic but shit made me lose brain cells. i kept opening the other books in the series to see if i'm even reading about the right people. EK just went ahead and said "lemme delete who they were and lemme write new characters" like excuse me if you can't even write about your own characters properly then you shouldn't write a new book about them. also this was filled with so much drama, secrets and just plain ass unnecessary communication problems.
logan & grace - nothing really happened and i don't like how the chapter ended without us hearing any vows or shit???? like wtf their part consisted of nothing but drama
dean & allie - i was so disappointed because this is supposed to be a happy ending type of shit but they kept fighting??? and after 4 years they still go ahead and ignore each other when they disagree? no character development whatsoever.
tucker & sabrina - one of my fav couples ever but i feel like they deserved way better than what was written. like why tf did such a happy moment in their life have to be ruined like that? and again their part was supposed to be about THEM yet it was anything but that. like please why did they have to FIGHT on their honeymoon.
garrett & hannah - by the time i reached their part i was bored and angry so idek how i actually feel about them. this part kinda made me sad and not in a good way. also their part def was the best of all of them but it still is disappointing.

EK just went ahead and said "lemme delete who they were and lemme write new characters" like excuse me if you can't even write about your own characters properly then you shouldn't write a new book about them. also this was filled with so much drama, secrets and just plain ass unnecessary communication problems.
logan & grace - nothing really happened and i don't like how the chapter ended without us hearing any vows or shit???? like wtf their part consisted of nothing but drama
dean & allie - i was so disappointed because this is supposed to be a happy ending type of shit but they kept fighting??? and after 4 years they still go ahead and ignore each other when they disagree? no character development whatsoever.
tucker & sabrina - one of my fav couples ever but i feel like they deserved way better than what was written. like why tf did such a happy moment in their life have to be ruined like that? and again their part was supposed to be about THEM yet it was anything but that. like please why did they have to FIGHT on their honeymoon.
garrett & hannah - by the time i reached their part i was bored and angry so idek how i actually feel about them. this part kinda made me sad and not in a good way. also their part def was the best of all of them but it still is disappointing.

So happy to be back with the off campus gang 😭💕
It was so much fun reading about these 4 couples again! I forgot how ridiculous and hilarious the boys are when they’re all together. My favorite novella was Logan and Grace’s (though I believe this has been published before, I’ve just never read it) and my least favorite was Garrett and Hannah’s. All 4 novellas are basically extended epilogues of the Off-Campus books and are very marriage/baby centered. If you love the series and want to see what these characters are up to years later, you need to read this!
Logan + Grace's novella: 5 stars
Yes Logan is my favorite so I'm biased but I loved revisiting these two. I think this novella was previously published but since it was new to me, I'm happy with it, though I can see others being super disappointed not have have something new for this couple. Logan and Grace need some time alone together to reconnect since hockey and school have been keeping them apart for too long. They end up getting stuck in a snowstorm on their way to their B&B but have the sweetest time together!
Dean + Allie's novella: 4 stars
Dean is ready to get married but Allie... is not. They're on completely different pages regarding marriage but they have to make things work because they're IT for each other. I forgot how much of a charmer Dean was but I fell in love with him all over again in this novella. This reformed manwhore LIVES for Allie!
Tucker + Sabrina's novella: 4 stars
These two finally have some time away alone together in a tropical paradise, but things don't really go according to plan. There's a creepy haunted doll (that's featured in each novella) and some big decisions to be made about both their careers.
Garrett + Hannah's novella: 3 stars
This was sadly my least favorite, which was disappointing since The Deal is one of my all-time favorite books. I was annoyed at how Hannah tries to keep a secret from Garrett for most of the story. Garrett gets some closure with his abusive father but I expected a lot more from this one!

I have a few things to say and the rant can't wait to leave my body, but this... thing... summed up in three main thoughts? here it is:
1) Selective amnesia if you are there listening to my prayers please work now!! This ""novella"" could be my 13th reason.
2) I think each author should read this and take notes on how NOT to write a novella for their characters. It will leave them an invaluable lesson I believe.
3) Elle Kennedy I'm sorry to tell you this, but you are now an international criminal. Lock your doors.
And now let's get to the fun and liberating part reviewing each of the novellas individually...
Logan and Grace — 2★. They are my second favorite couple and this part could have rated higher if not for the recycling of the previous Christmas story. Anyway, the added parts were good so I don't have much to complain about here. I kinda forgot how dorky Logan and Grace are, but they are so so cute I could take these silly stories forever! Also, John Logan finally being happy? that's all i needed to know.
Dean and Allie — 1.5★ If you need to know, that 1.5 star is from Summer Dilaurentis and her comment on Fitz regarding her or not as his forever, I love this girl so much. As for Dean and Allie... sorry, but what exactly is this supposed to bring to the table? I could have traded this waste of pages for more Hannah and Garrett content.
It's no secret that I've never liked Dean as the main character, but I was fine with Allie because she was funny, but I really don't understand what went down here. Are you telling me that they have been together for 4 years, in a committed relationship, living together and talking about future plans, but they don't know what the other wants? or when? then Allie let her fears get the better of her, completely ignoring Dean's feelings in the process, unable to understand his point of view, but also unable to explain hers to him? oh, at this point I was tired of this story, but can we add one last point? Let's talk about how characters that nobody knows were the voice of reason so that she could see things from another angle... JUST TO END WITH A PROPOSAL OF ANY WAYS!!! sorry I just don't get it.
Tucker and Sabrina — 1★. If this is Elle Kennedy's way of being funny, someone should tell her that this is not her strong suit.
I'm gonna be quick here because I don't care much about this couple; somehow after reading The Goal I could totally see Tucker being the "yes, my love, whatever you say" kind of boyfriend, but I never expected him to be this bland and submissive character almost scared of doing things for himself. He was always dull but this was very extreme. And then when he finally FINALLY exploded, he decided to leave her alone and go somewhere else... OOC much? it's as if she forgot that she wrote these characters.
And Sabrina... in short, she grew up to adopt Gail's personality, Tucker's mom. I really loved her character because she was this bitchy boss woman who did everything herself, working hard to get out of the reality she was in, kicking butt in the process, but now EK decided that it was a good idea to make her into an overberaing mother, and pretty much the most annoying character ever? She's literally one step away from becoming a Karen and I feel like crying!
The only impression that this story left me is that they began and ended together because of the baby and nothing else, being a convenient situation for both. That's the end of this love story.
Garrett and Hannah — 2.5★ SOMEONE HOLD ME BECAUSE I'M ABOUT TO KILL A BITCH!!!
I still enjoyed some moments of this story, but those little scenes were a given since Hannah and Garrett are my fav couple and I'm gonna take any crumb, but this was wrong on so many levels... I just don't understand how she came out with this.
I'm fine with the unexpected pregnancy trope, but considering their relationship I just don't understand where all this misunderstanding, secrecy and accusations came from! And the fact that she reused Garrett's piece of shit father plot instead of coming up with something new... I'm sorry, I just don't understand why that man is still wasting oxygen, and even more involved in Garrett's life. I'm happy to get a story about my favorite couple living their best life and being successful, starting a family and blah blah, but this plot definitely tainted all of the above and I can't get over it.
Also, the first proposal... I'm sorry my murderous instincts are coming back, but WHAT. THE. HELL. WAS. THAT? The breakfast proposal gave me EmmaCassidy vibes from The Trouble With Love, but that's completely different because they had been there before! Hannah and Garrett deserved something better and not boring like what we got, and the nerve to write that then Garrett actually proposed but we didn't get to see it... yeah, let me just go sharpen my knives or something.
And some other things that I can't not talk about:
– The group chats and the haunted doll was fun most of the time.
– Allie spilling Hannah's secret? not okay!! You just have to read their own books to know that that would never happen and it was a really weird thing to add in this novella.
– Garrett and Logan's bromance. If we were talking about any other author I might take this as a hilarious thing, but since we're talking about EK and she loves to fetish this didn't sit right with me.
– I love Jake Connelly so freaking much but him scoring more than Garrett is completely unbelievable, sorry my boy!
– If for some reason she's thinking of a next gen... God help us!! she managed to ruin her main characters in a novella, I don't even want to think what she could do with a full book, much less a new series.

Grace and Logan are my favorite character (Note: I said character, not couple) like you guys know how much I love Logan, everything that comes out of his mouth is so funny like please I love him so much. He gives you everything, banter, swoon-worthy moments, dirty talk and his own fucking presence and then there Grace who literally still blabbered and it was so cute like so cute she was so cute and the whole pact thing was so adorable and the setting was perfect, stranded on a ditch on new years while its snowing. Tell me a better setting than that!! It was so amazing and every moment of theirs I savored. My favorite moment being:
" 'One more minute' Logan exclaims.
'Thirty seconds,' he warns 'Sit up, Woman."
'We are almost at the countdown. I expect some enthusiastic yelling. Ready, babe?'
'Sure. But we don't have to yell-'
'TEN!'

I was fairly surprised by how their book turned out so I was very excited for this Novella but tbh it was frustrating to read at times. I enjoyed it, I did not have that much of a problem with but it wasn't anything memorable. I love Sabrina and Tucker and I just wanted to have ONE happy honeymoon but that didn't happen. I enjoyed their banter and the moments that they had especially the whole alexander the doll scene that revolved through every part but was prominent here had me howling.
“You’re amazing,” I inform him. A smile curves his mouth. “Don’t you forget it, darlin’.” “Never.”

“Nodding, he winds his arm back and hurls Alexander as far as he possibly can. this was the most perfect conclusion for these amazing couples. each couples story was absolutely perfect! i LOVED getting to go back into the minds of my favorite people and revisit this world. it was the best way to see a glimpse into their lives.🥰

When authors write epilogue books, that means for authors is easy buck and for fans nostalgic fluff.
Well unless you are Elle Kennedy. No one wants unnecessary drama, we already have that in OG books.
- Logan and Grace: meh nothing happened besides smut
- Dean and Allie: how is Allie bad guy for not wanting to get married and why is that a thing in novella
- Tucker and Sabrina (my favorite OG couple): EK hates Tucker as much she hates thought of writing F/F. Anyway they deserve better.
- Garrett and Hannah: imagine this Hannah needs to find time when Garrett isn't angry to tell she thinks she is pregnant..
No couple got really romantic moment, more was giving to guy being together, Jamie was scene-staler so adorable. In end this was boring with least amount of effort from EK.

Well unless you are Elle Kennedy. No one wants unnecessary drama, we already have that in OG books.
- Logan and Grace: meh nothing happened besides smut
- Dean and Allie: how is Allie bad guy for not wanting to get married and why is that a thing in novella
- Tucker and Sabrina (my favorite OG couple): EK hates Tucker as much she hates thought of writing F/F. Anyway they deserve better.
- Garrett and Hannah: imagine this Hannah needs to find time when Garrett isn't angry to tell she thinks she is pregnant..
No couple got really romantic moment, more was giving to guy being together, Jamie was scene-staler so adorable. In end this was boring with least amount of effort from EK.

O meu favorito, até a parte do Tucker e da Sabrina conseguiu não ser muito aborrecida e teve partes bastante divertidas.
Obviamente que a parte mais divertida é a participação de Alexander, ideia de Dean (só podia), que vai dar origem a um novo jogo divertido entre os quatro casais.

There’s a reason I don’t care about epilogues that much.
I wanted fun, banter, lightness, fluff, closure, and maybe a group hang out. What I got was...so not that. I was so looking for Garrett and Hannah’s story and I felt that it has the most potential, but it got wasted because of Garett’s on going grumpy mood. Why would we waste a short epilogue on his father? Who cares about that? I liked their story, but I felt disappointed and I just wanted more, I guess.
I didn’t care that much about the others stories, it was just what you’d expect an epilogue to be, but I felt sad for Tucker and Sabrina. Honestly, I just felt sadness and pity for them. Their epilogue was just sad and pathetic and it just shows that the author have a drier sense of humor than me.

3.5 stars. This was a great ending for the most amazing couples. There were some of my favorite parts ever, and then there were some parts I was not a fan of hence the 4 stars. I read this in one sitting and went to sleep at 6 am because I couldn’t stop reading. I feel empty now that it’s over 🥺 Thank you elle kennedy + publishers for sending me the arc!

→ i really enjoyed this book (for the most part) ESPECIALLY the first 50%, i was eating that shit upppppp. it went a bit downhill for me after that 50% mark, mainly when it came to hannah and garretts part (I know, who would've thought) because i felt like hannah reaallyyy dragged on delivering that news to garrett and their 10+ chapters revolved around mostly just that dilemma she was having

→ this book was honestly pretty funny. for starters, i loved the little side plot of the doll(s) and I thought it was a hilarious and smart way of connecting all the couples together further. also, the couples mentioning the word "serendipity" both correctly and incorrectly as a second little running joke in the book. idk, i found it funny.

→ i found quite a few typos/errors in this book which was surprising because i never noticed any in the previous ones. it makes it feel rushed (and it’s a huge ick) especially when there's MULTIPLE on the same page.

→ the miscommunication trope is a recurring thing within this book and that is my absolute least favourite trope. i can’t stand it. howeverrrrrr, i think because im so attached to this series it’s a bit easier for me to see past it than if this was a stand-alone.

ugh i honestly forgot how much i love these two. it's strange because their book was definitely not my favourite of the series but they may be my favourite couple tbh. they're just sooo cute and perfect for each other. their part in this book was very entertaining to me. it was like a comfort movie and i want moreeee of these two. there's something about grace that i just adore so much, im not sure what it is exactly but she is definitely one of my comfort characters. P.S. i was so ready to throw my book in the beginning. elle kennedy you had me so worked up.

my babiesss!! i love these two. i feel that their conflict in this book was a little unnecessary BUT i still found their part to be really entertaining. these two are so cute and i love to see them working together and constantly maturing, they both have come a long way from "the score". dean is possibly my favourite man from this series (but don't quote me) because regardless of everything he has gone through, he is so strong and forgiving and such a great man to allie.

i enjoyed these two more than i did in "the goal", sabrina didn't annoy me nearly as much which is great. once again, a conflict in their part of the book felt pretty unnecessary or, at least, it was much more dramatic than it needed to be. i found their part to be fairly funny but it's also where i began losing some interest. regardless, i'm happy with how their part of the book ended.

the OG icons of this series, you just have to love them like come onnn they're the definition of soulmates. i was sososososo happy to see garrett finally stand up for himself to his POS father and i was so happy to see wellsy thriving in her career. as i mentioned before, their part of the book kind of just let me down, i wanted more from them but instead we just get an ongoing dilemma being nonstop talked about in the book, but not talked about between themselves and then once again, another unnecessary conflict. the ending was cute though.

The Legacy was such a fun read! It was great to catch up with all the Off Campus couples we love so much. John Logan will always be my absolute favorite, so of course I loved Logan and Grace's story best, but all were good. It was fun to guess who was pregnant, who was married, who eloped etc. I definitely recommend to all lovers of this series and sports romance. Elle Kennedy does sports romance so well and the audio was fantastic to listen to.

1.5 stars for hannahgarrett and hannahgarrett only.
this should've truly stayed in the drafts... it honestly doesn't even deserve more than one star at best but i'm sucker for hannahgarrett eventhough they STILL deserved better. they got the shittiest trope and the shittiest proposal... she did them so dirty, i genuinely don't see the point of this book..
