I went to review the third book for this and realized I never actually got around to reviewing book one and two. So here is my cut/paste review for the entire series:
I just love this shit.
I'm a sucker for anything involving shifters/fated mates and this was very satisfying in that regard. The two main characters had great chemistry (which always garners a lot of stars for me), the world-building was decent (smut romance standards considered), and I always love a good pack/loyal bromance group.
The added Wall Street business angle was interesting. And the sprinkle of light BDSM was fine. In fact, if Cate C. Wells' Rejected Mate series and Fifty Shades of Grey had a baby, it would look a lot like this series. Without the inner goddess bullshit.
Books one and two were super solid....and book three was the weakest of the bunch, in my opinion. But I highly enjoyed the series overall and will definitely be re-reading.
Madi and Bricks story continues in the next book in the Werewolves of Wall Street Series. Brick is struggling to keep his wolf from going Moon Mad and Madi is struggling with her feelings for Brick. When Madi is forced to leave her job, everything continues to go wrong. She is the only one who can save Brick and the company, but will his pack let her in?
Have you already started Reneé Rose & Lee Savino's "Big Bad Boss" series yet? If not, what are you waiting for? Book two, 'Moon Mad' is here and it is just what the title suggests. Maddi is still trying to convince herself this is just a winter fling with her Wall Street boss … yeah, that's not working out so well for her. Brick knows that his wolf has decided Maddi is his fated mate and wants to claim and mark her. The problem? Claiming and marking her goes against everything Shifter society believes and would weaken the pack. That in itself wouldn't be a problem, per se, but then throw in the situation with his mother's pack, and Brick, along with his entire pack, would lose everything … including their lives. The drama, sabotage, and lies only add an additional layer to already intense chemistry that practically shoots off the pages. I'm recommending This page-turner from the winning combination of Rose & Savino and waiting on book three.
I finished the book, but I skipped plenty of it. Most of this book was sex between Brick and Madi. Although hot, I wanted more from this book. It dragged and didn’t really go anywhere until the last chapters. I loved Madi in the first book. She was smart and strong, but in this book all I keep thinking was, “She is a doormat!” Brick as an alpha isn’t giving me alpha vibes. Choose something and roll with it.
After reading this book and being left with a cliffhanger after a blah book which I think will result in the same as this second book, I don’t know if I will be in a rush to read the third book in the trilogy. I feel Madi will be more of a doormat and Brick will be the same sex giving, hurting Madi wolf.
I immediately jumped into this book after the first one because I had to know how Brick was going to solve his very heavy dilemma about choosing the pack and denying his wolf Madi, his human secretary whom he is in love with.
And I was loving this- the tension, the betrayal, the way Madi fought for herself and her name. I loved that Brick wasn’t above grovelling, but at the same time, a part of me is a bit cynical if it’s because he knew he would die if he can’t mark her.
This is an almost five star read, because the last few chapters made it so. At first, I was so eager to read on how Brick made a mistake and lamenting that he would choose Madi above all else, even giving up his pack and his empire.
But then…to my horror. He had to take it back in the last chapter. Whyyyy you SOB!!! That was such a user move. 😡
4.25 stars 😩 I’m still continuing despite the fact.
OMG! I am just completely obsessed with this series because it is just that good. Be sure you read Big Bad Boss: Midnight first because trust me you do not want to miss out on the start of all things Madi and Brick. Oh, wow do these two have me firmly in their clutches. The tension, the angst, the steam, the drama, and the twists are all exquisite and grabbed and kept me devouring pages as quickly as I could. This story has me all up in my feelings and my emotions running a gamut. From sweating, to swooning, to swearing, your heart is getting an intense workout. I am absolutely desperate for book three!
Books 2 and 3 These two were short, sexy, and I couldn’t get enough. I’m so absorbed in this world that I don’t want anything else other than to keep reading about the Werewolves of Wall Street. This series took me by surprise in the best possible way. It’s intense, different, and deliciously smutty. Madi and Brick have their happily ever after — what else could I ask for? I’m starting Billy and Aubrey’s book right away because it looks so promising!
I was anxiously waiting for the second installment of the Big Bad Boss series after the ending for book 1 and this definitely did not disappoint!
There was more of the back and forth I loved so much in book 1, but we also see that expanded upon while both of the MCs fight their feelings for each other. Oh man the spice in this book! SO GOOD! I love how possessive Brick can be!
So. Freaking. Good. I would give this book 10 stars if I could! I love everything about Madi and Brick...the tension, the chemistry, the fated romance... I said it after reading book one, and I'm saying it again now: give me more, more, more Madi & Brick!!!!
This series will probably be my top read of 2024! I loved this book and continue to love Madi and Brick even more! Although I hope Brick can get out of his stubborn head at the end! Holy cliffhanger I can't wait to see what happens next!
I am in LOVE with this trilogy. The characters are delicious and the story line keeps you going. Big Bad Boss: Moon Mad is the second book to the Werewolves of Wall Street books and I honestly could not put it down.
Brick is a strong MMC that is stuck between the women he is in love with and his pack that are wanting him to walk away from Madi because they feel she will never be good enough for the future the pack wants. Brick can not seem to walk away from her no matter what they say, which gives us our problem throughout the book.
Madi is such a great female character, she doesn't bow down to anyone in Bricks pack, and even when she finds out some of their secrets, she doesn't let it stop her from wanting to be with Brick. Madi does love Brick even when he is trying to pull away and make life harder for each of them. I loved that about her.
This book is beautifully written and I could not put it down. I can not wait to see what happens next for Brick and Madi.
OMG! I just finished reading book 2 in the series. Madi and Brick can't keep their hands off each other at work. They decide to keep their relationship only physically. Madi doesn't trust men. Brick's cousin, Aiden, is conniving. He brings trouble to their door. Madi deals with the worst time in her life. Brick is fighting, not going feral. This book ends on a cliffhanger.
Big Bad Boss: Moon Mad by Renee Rose & Lee Savino is book two in the Werewolves of Wall Street trilogy. This continues the story of Madison Evans and Brick Blackthroat. There story started in the previous book 'Big Bad Boss: Midnight' so you will need to read that book before starting this one. Madi is a strong women who take stuff from anyone. Brick is wanting Madi but his pack is basically making him choose between his pack family and the women is cares for. I can't wait for more from this trilogy.
I loved the progression of Madi and Brick’s relationship. Brick knows he can’t have Madi and keep his alpha role in the pack. Madi won’t be anyone’s dirty little secret much less a Wall Street billionaire’s. She has a pretty strong opinion of the rich, and after all her family has been through because of them, I can’t blame her.
I do wish Brick would have knocked Billy down a peg or two. That cliffhanger too 😬. Have to wait almost 2 months for the conclusion 🫠.
The second book in the Werewolves of Wall Street was so good, even better than the first one. As expected Brick rejected Madi for the good of his pack . And that send Madi back to the issues of her past and the rejection of her biological father and his family. And the shadow of not being good enough is looming over her. And that made her an overachiever and so good at her job. Brick is fighting with the demands of his wolf and what's expected of him as the Alpha of his pack. He rejects Madi as his mate but she's the one thing that's preventing him from going moon mad. Soon they can't keep their hands of each other and that whole office situation with benefits is heating up the executive floor of Moon Co . And their chemistry is of the charts and Madi slowly is falling for Brick. Brick is still in denial and on the edge of going moon mad. The ongoing rivalry with the other pack keeps Brick under constant pressure and everything takes a sudden turn when Madi is accused of a security breach in the company. Brick acts on instinct and cuts out Madi of his life and from the company. After that for Madi it's like history is repeating itself. So she's done with Brick and his world, she just wants to clear her name . And once again she proves how smart and observant she is by figuring out the whole security breach situation. I so loved groveling Brick and all his attempts to win Madi back but that was only part love and a lot more for him not going moon mad. And once again Madi rised to the occasion and was there for Brick and saved him. But after all his declarations when faced with a challenge he chose his pack . And at the end Madi is his secret and not his mate . And that cliffhanger broke my heart . And I can't wait for Big Bad Boss: Marked because I need to see how Brick's going to get out of the situation he put himself in , and when he'll see that Madi is his perfect match and mate . I hope she won't forgive him too fast and too easy ; Brick has a long road ahead of him in learning to appreciate and value his mate .
Thanks to Literally Yours PR for the opportunity to read and review an early copy of this book and this is my honest opinion.
Moon Mad is the second book in the Big Bad Boss (Werewolves of Wallstreet) trilogy and it is so much fun! A contemporary paranormal romance with a smidge of dark elements, these books make for a great palette cleanser between heavier stories. Moon Mad follows the first book, Midnight, and I won't get too deep into it to prevent spoilers but Brick is struggling with the tug-a-war between his heart and his head. Madi and his pack. Him and his wolf. And he is such a man sometimes, you almost wish you could reach into the pages and just knock him upside the head. You'd probably get a good spanking in return. I honestly love Madi but she has some hang ups that are frustrating. You have to wonder if there is a HEA waiting for these two at the end, but there has to be because this is a romance. Right? Right?!? Seamlessly written with secrets, revelations, betrayals, fated mates, family drama, office smexy times, and a d-bag side character or two to hate on, Big Bad Boss: Moon Mad kept me entertained from start to finish. I can't wait to see how the author's wrap this story up and what other characters might get some page time after that.
"Take all of me. Receive me. Let me in. I want you, Madi. I want you to want me as much as I need you."
☑️ Age Gap ☑️ Familial Obligations ☑️ Billionaire Boss MMC ☑️ Brainy & Competent FMC ☑️ Power Play 🌶️ ☑️ Humans, Wolves & Vampires ☑️ Office Romance ☑️ Forbidden Relationship ☑️ Bros Before Hoes ☑️ Rich X Poor
Book 2 of the Werewolves of Wall Street you find Brick and Madi still fighting their attraction to each other. Madi is fighting as she doesn’t want to fall in love but is ok with the sex portion of her working relationship with her very frustrating and controlling boss. Brick is fighting since she is not only his assistant but a human and as the pack alpha, he cannot mate a human even though his wolf is continually urging him to bite and claim Madi as his mate. Brick is starting turn feral and his executive team is seeing this and continues to urge him to fire Madi and find an alpha female so he can mate her and move on with taking over the pack.
For Brick this overwhelming urge to be with Madi is slowly but surely driving him moon mad but add in the rival pack that is constantly causing issues in his life from work to family disputes which also includes Brick’s mother (his parents were a real-life Romeo/Juliet situation) and Brick is one step away from losing it. Madi has her own issues where she is finding out about her parentage/father and abandonment issues to find she was lied to her whole life. But then when she gets framed for something that hurts Brick and he refuses to listen, she just uses this to cut the cord to Brick as it was getting too real for her anyway.
The story ends in a cliffhanger, but the chemistry was hot between Brick and Madi with lots of tension, drama and even some parts that just made you laugh. Brick still might lose Madi if he doesn’t figure out his priorities as I love how Madi doesn’t back down from confrontation with anyone. And with the way this book ended I hope she lets Brick have it in Book 3 because I was floored with how it ended. Great read and highly recommend to everyone!!
WOW, was left spiraling... 4.75stars from me to this one, especially the last few chapters were bomb.
Omg, I don't know if I'm mad because I'm hurt just from reading it, or I'm mad in Madi's place. The way how she was wronged so many times, and then given hope, just to take it all away is just pure torture and cruelty. She literally gave everything, and was given scraps that measure to nothing. WTF?!? Oh, I'm so mad at Brick in this book!!!!! I loved him in the first one, but here throughout this one he made mistakes left and right. Okay I understand that he has a huge amount of responsibility, and everything is at stakes, he has to be few steps ahead of his opponents, but to throw out the window the most beautiful thing that life and fate has offered him just like that and feed only empty promises... I'm so full pro feminist here right now, Like Aubrey almost calling 911.
Honestly was heartbroken a few times for Brick, but Madi is another thing altogether. I so adore this woman. No matter what happens, she stays strong, picks herself up and goes through the pain, heartbreak and fears like they fuel her, cause she knows there is no other way. When life is hard, you become even harder, which makes her stronger, braver, lovelier. Honestly, at this point I think Brick doesn't deserve her and if that man doesn't grovel as he deserves, lord help me, I'm gonna be mad.
The plot twists are coming left and right, a few I knew were coming, but they still stung the same. And this book was more fixated on the emotional being of both fmc and mmc, but the storyline was still going toe to toe with love one, it was interesting to read and uncover what's hidden.
Can't wait to read the next book, cause again, it ended on a cliffhanger. And a huge one at that.
This author duo keeps blowing me away with Brick and Madi and now that we've delved deeper into this shifter pack, I'm now more intrigued then ever to learn more about the other members. It's all so addictive and crazy good :) If you think you guessed where the plot is going, think again! The twists and turns these characters take you on will have you tense and jittery, happy and full of squirmy angst!
Madi and Brick are back and their forbidden attraction is at an all time high. Loyalties are tested, secrets are revealed and there are twists and turns. . . I. Did. Not. See. Coming!! It was off the charts emotional turmoil at it's freakin best.
I loved their story and can't wait for the final installment because my emotions have been put through the ringer. I'm emotionally beat. I need a kinky, dirty, happily ever after for these two and I need it ASAP!
I'm also super excited for Billy even he was definitely the A-hole you loved to hate in this one :)
Highly recommend but needs to be read in order as this is part 2 of 3.
I loved the first book but somehow missed that it was book one of a trilogy, so that cliffhanger was exceptionally brutal. This picks up right where we left off and I was pulled back into the story immediately, like I read it yesterday. The characters are amazing, the story is fast-paced and fun, plus we get plenty of steam and hot shifters. This book is close to perfect except for another cliffhanger.
Writing this review has been a real struggle because anything I want to say feels like a spoiler, but I will say that I don't like Billy. If Brick's executives are getting books of their own, I can't imagine how the authors will redeem him. The guys want Brick to get rid of the human, but he can't do it. Besides the fact that his wolf is determined to claim her, she is the best assistant he's ever had, and he won't sacrifice that for anything, not even the pack.
His plan is to keep things professional and keep his distance, but will they be able to resist? Madi's head is spinning from all the mixed signals he's throwing at her as he keeps going from hot to cold and back again, but they have bigger problems they haven't even realized yet, namely whatever the Adelwulfs have up their sleeve. This story is addictive, and I can't wait to see how it ends.
Moon Mad begins where Midnight left off and cannot be read as a standalone.
Brick Blackthroat is between a rock and a hard place. He knows that Madi is his mate, but because she is human, it can’t happen. While they try to remain a secret for awhile, all heck starts to break loose with Brick’s wolf as he tries to refrain from marking Madi while still leading his pack without going feral to moon madness. It doesn’t hurt that his enemy, Aiden Adulwulf is also poised to strike. Everything, including his business, his pack and his life are on the line.
Madi continues to struggle with her need for Brick, warring against her distrust of the wealthy. When she accidentally discovers Brick’s secret, she’s even more confused. But, when she finally gives in to her heart rather than her head, everything changes again as she’s accused of the unthinkable. And, with every new revelation, the chance of a happy ever after for her seems to become more and more unachievable.
Book two of the Werewolves of Wallstreet series is really explosive! Secrets are revealed. Enemies and betrayals abound. Everything is on the line for Brick and his pack and Madi is the one person at the heart of it all. I loved the unexpected twists in this book and just how much tension and strain existed throughout, making it a real page turner. While Madi may be human, she seems to be the one person who can truly stand up to Brick and I really cannot wait to see how all of that plays out in the final book of this trilogy. 4 stars!
I really like Madie. A lot of books have a "strong FMC", but sometimes it's obnoxious. Madie's got a good head on her shoulders. I also like how there is a bit of talk about feminism and liberalism, and the contrast to Wall Street, and what does it mean to be f-ing your boss and where are you in all of this if you like the fantasy sex that is based on power-dynamics... It's a funny talk-to, but totally appropriate. Also there's plenty of talk of consent here and use of condoms. It's kinda nice to see all this in the book.
But underneath it all, there's plenty of fun in this book. In fact, Madie has a slight edge on Brick as to which one of them is more badass.
I am really intrigued by the Romeo & Juliet connection, and I wish I understood more about what was underneath there. Also, I'm really amused by Billy and Madie's roommate. Can't wait to see how that plays itself out.
My favorite scene is when Brick buys a vanilla latte coffee for Madie, but can't properly explain why. The book has several cute moments where there's a bit of poking of fun in their relationship.
A pet peeve? Non-continuity of facts. Like the book starts out by saying her parents met at Harvard, but then it later says Oxford. Or what exactly is Madie's salary because it starts out by saying six figures, but then at one point, said it was $60K. I know there was a doubling of salary in there at some point, but none of it is consistent. Also, unrealistic figures. Like saying someone's backpack was $10K.
Brick's really really done Madie several dirties by the end of this book. He really comes across as an ass (and even in book 3) with all his hiding. Let's hope the authors manage to redeem his complete asshattery.
The story is the second in the trilogy in the Werewolves of Wall Street. This story is intense, with a mix of characters, both shifters and humans. It is full of mystery, suspense, secrets, and battles, within the family—and outside of it. Some lines cannot be crossed without dire consequences, and Brick and Madi are teetering on that line.
The story is about secrets, lies, deceit, and sabotage, along with good versus evil. At times, it is so hard to tell who to trust and who is a traitor. The dynamics between Brick and Madi change from business, to include sexual. Brick and his wolf need what they can get from Madi, and she seems to thrive on the interactions.
What happens when there is a breach in Moon Co, and it appears to all lead to Madi? Is she a traitor? Or could she be set up to appear to be one? Brick appears as a weak alpha over a human. What happens when he believes she has betrayed him?
The story is a roller-coaster ride of battling alphas, and threats to companies, and to the Moon pack. But Brick is in a precarious position as Alpha and dealing with Moon Madness. Is Madi the key to saving Brick? But at what cost to Madi?
“I realize I’m locked in. I’m a bird in a gilded cage. A princess in a tower. Trapped. Betrayed. Utterly alone.”
I will have to say, I wanted to scream—no when this story ended—because yes, it is a cliffhanger, and we’ll have to wait for the next story.
Simply wonderful read. great characters and I guarantee that you will enjoy this read thoroughly This is the second book in this series and I have thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this book and am sure that the next book in this series will be simply marvellous. This book has the character Madison who is a human that is a CEO assistant to the Shifter Alpha Bick Blackthroat. She is very good at what she does and is the leader of his pack which he takes extremely responsible and he is attracted to his assistant which is something she is trying to keep a lid on. He truly believes that his pack would not tolerate a human as his mate and so he is keeping his distance. Brick is at an age when he has to choose a mate otherwise, he will be struck by moon madness which is every wolfs worse fears and so he fears going feral an knows that he has to find and mark a mate sooner rather than later. Now that Madi has been accused of being a traitor causing there to be a huge security breech at Moon Co, Read this wonderful book and discover what the outcome will be fo these two amazing individuals. I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all their wonderful writing.
