Great book to get you thinking about your financial plan
This book is great if you're ready to start managing your money with some serious thought. It is simplified so it's nothing to be intimidated about, however it does uncover some key tips on starting a budget and saving for your future. For people outside of careers in finance, it's important to learn it and I think this book helps you do that. After reading this I plan on educating myself even further on becoming a real money manager.
This book encouraged me to think more about my finances and do something to improve how I manage money. I particularly enjoyed and paid attention to the chapter about budgeting
Easy to understand and a quick read. I’m intimated by numbers and always felt lost or unsure about where to start with finances. Fortunately, my mom who is a money manager gave me this book. It was really eye-opening and a good start to better understanding. I have more confidence in knowing certain terms and overall concepts. Great read for anyone looking to refresh or read up on money managing skills.
Informative read with some really good money management tips. The only thing is towards the latter parts of the book a lot of money tips become more specific to an American audience.
This book has a lot of useful information. It is applicable to people in various stages of life. It could be particularly useful to someone who is just starting out and needs to avoid getting into debt from loans or credit cards, or how much is too much to spend on a major life purchase such as a house or car. I received this book free for reviewing purposes. This did not influence my opinion in any way.
One of the easiest to understand personal finance books I have come across. I would suggest it for anyone looking to figure out how to start getting their finances in order regardless of age. It was a quick read with practical step by step instructions for getting your household in order.
What a remarkable book!! I wish I had this book 20 years ago. But better late than never. I will definitely be insisting that my children who are in their 20's read it. It is so very comprehensive and every word & topic counts. Highly recommended!!!
Had a very basic understanding of personal finance. This book is a fantastic introduction to how to deal with financial ambiguity, and advises the best methods to improve your current situation.
Pretty good read and it helped that my Internet was down. I feel validated that I'm more on track than most people compared in this book. Key takeaways: invest in 401k early, even if you have to stop, to give it time to mature and when possible refinance morgage.
