With Admiral Gorgo's personal empire decapitated, dozens of systems are in the lurch. Without supply lines and a clear chain of command, it's up to the Grand Admiral to step in and clean things up before too many people starve to death...or worse.
Some of the systems have accepted his command authority and new supply lines are forming, but others are not. Some are defiantly claiming independence, while others are searching for options to continue their barbaric ways that they know Aatroxiss will stop.
And with the research station proving to be far more than Specter 7's intelligence had claimed, the Grand Admiral's personal flagship, the Redemption, leaves Harshoo behind as it races across the stars to begin unraveling a cruel and despicable mystery that the Grand Admiral is only now becoming aware of...
Aer-ki Jyr is one of the top 20 science fiction authors on Amazon due to his extremely long and ongoing space opera epic STAR FORCE, one of the longest military science fiction series ever written.
But how booring!!! Just one looong stupid situation after another... Never any good, intelligent conversations . I scanned as far as I could stand and then zipped to the end to be able to write this review. I gave it 5 stars to honor the work the author put in to write it... Hopefully he will read it and consider putting in more intelligent conversations... Although I'm not hopeful.
I enjoyed this book more than the last. I think my only complaint is the use of their measurements. It's confusing. I do not want to have to figure the time and distance nonsense out. Write a script in the opening that you're using our terminology and just use it. I read solu or whatever it is and I think Sulu! It's a minor gripe but I have no idea of time and distances etc so please adjust this for future writing. Otherwise the story is great!
A disappointment when I know I’m coming to the end of any of Aer-ki Jyr’s mind- bending reads. I so wish there were a couple clones of him so I would always be reading his creative writings non stop. As always, anxiously waiting whatever and whenever his next one is out.
I like the premise of the book. I do get through his books but it is painful. The author does belabor a point, explaining it three ways to Wednesday. Also, punctuation and misspellings continue here as in all of his books. I don’t think he knows what a beta reader is. I give it four stars because it is quite a long story and give it for his effort.
Not a bad side-journey from the Star Force series, though I am looking forward to the next book in that series. This series is if you took to Empire of Star Wars and had a Jedi handed control of its frontier.
first book was fairly natural now its beccoming more like star forece repeating the same point over and over using the text to directly expound ehtical point in a laboured way rather than let ideas expand naturally
I’m a huge fan of Star Force, but I had a hard time getting 2/3 through this book. I felt there was too much of the same thing being rewritten chapter after chapter. I had high hopes after the first book, but I’m very disappointed.
It's a great book and series. The character development is excellent. This will be a long series. I look forward to reading many books in this series in the future.
The Second book in the Starship Fleet Commander is starting to meet my expectations from the author! The plots and subplots are very good and the characters are developing very well. I expect the full series to be well worth reading!
You can feel the stories momentum build into a multiple book series of adventure, great characters and constant surprises. I enjoyed the book and am anxiously awaiting the next book. Keep them coming!
As a Star Force fan. I eagerly have started this series and have enjoyed it immensely. New characters new plot line in the same universe as Star Force. Characters are interesting enough to want more.
Looking forward to the next book from this author, loved him since his fan fiction days with Stargate Atlantis. I look forward to every thing he writes.
I enjoyed the whole book. I hope thus becomes a continuous series. The characters have lots to offer and are genuinely unique. I hope to learn what happens next!
