The Blaine family have owned and protected the Beldon lands for 600 turbulent years. The sudden and violent death of a prominent family member plunges the entire estate into an uncertainty not felt for centuries.. As other deaths follow, the police are in a race against time. Shockingly, the more they uncover, the more they begin to believe that Blaine family members themselves could have committed the murders.
Wow and double wow! This was so good. Well done Mr Litton (I hope that doesn't sound patronising). I have to say when I read the synopsis for this book I was thinking "If there has to be a killing or two in Beldon Magna, please can it be the obnoxious Ian and his equally disagreeable wife Marcia?" Well, you'll have to read to find out if it is. I was disappointed that a certain woman (I can't call her a lady) in the village didn't get her comeuppance, but hey maybe next time! I did miss Robert and Colin though. Hopefully they will be back in the next one. PS: I know I've only recently read this, but as I decided to read the first four again I thought I may as well keep reading the two latest ones.
