I hate that the h obviously loved the H more than he loved her🫤 She was willing to risk it all for him, but he wouldn’t do the same until he thought she was moving on (which he told her to do 😤😤😤😤)

This is the last book in the playground series (I think), and it's Layana and Hudson!! I'll be honest I wanted to smack Hudson so hard for what he put himself and Layana, though.
These 2 have been on and off again, keeping their little relationship a secret from his little sister/Layana bestie. He was the one who always pushed away, and this time layana was she was tired of being a dirty secret and cut off all contact. I also felt mad at Lay since the break up she sorta Self destructed, and it wasn't bad bad but it wasn't pretty. Hudson did try to help, but she wasn't his, so she didn't let him. I was glad the besties were there helping her and telling her to go on daddy dates or try to be happy.
She did try to move on lol and I'll tell you I appove of the guy for reasons, lol. But that made Hudson lose his mind seeing her move on and get that I got to fight for my woman. And when they finally got together again and told his sister she was happy she was mad for 2.5 seconds at him but that was for hurting her best friend.
No ow/om drama, no cheating, tiny drama, no virgins (she goes on one date and mentioned during the breakup she tried to date other men buy, that's all)

I have to be honest here, for the majority of this book I wanted to slap Hudson around! I hated his wishy-washy in-again, out-again behavior. I want a daddy to be decisive and take charge. Having said that I did get WHY he felt he had to hide their relationship from his sister, Ivy. BUT he really ticked me off! The amount of pain he put Layana through was ridiculous! Lol that should tell you how good this book is. If it can make you really angry at an imaginary person, the writing must be outstanding! The characters HAVE to seem like "real" people. The storyline MUST be engrossing. Guiding His Babygirl is all of that and more. I'm sad this is the last Playground story because I love this world Rory Reynolds has created.

After reading the blurb I was excited to read this book but it ended falling flat for me. I didn't care for either of the leads. Him constantly breaking her heart and her continually letting him do it. 3 years is a long time to repeatedly get your heart broken again and again and again. If you love someone you do not treat them like that. The fact that he had such little faith in his sister made me like him even less. She forgave and gave into to easily and quickly. They had plenty of time to get their relationship together and they couldn't do that. I did love Corey so hopefully he will get a book of his own!

Perfect!!!
I love the Playground series and I love that some previous characters made brief appearances in Guiding His Babygirl. I was so worried when I first started this book that I was going to be reading about a woman who was addicted to alcohol and I would DNF this book, but once I made it past the first couple of chapters, I completely understood why Layana was acting like she was, and I wanted to scream at Hudson to get his head out of his butt!!! I loved this book, it is a perfect addition to the Playground series!!!!

(DNF) Basically he puts his (adult) sister's potential feelings over the real feelings of the woman he's been in love with and involved with for a few years. Then one short conversation with his assistant makes him see the light and he's suddenly all for telling his sister about them. There's a ton of BBS, too much spanking, and the big reveal is a little disappointing, though I will say that I'm very grateful that the sister didn't already know. The sister repeatedly hits him with a shoe, which was the only good part. Let's replace that flip-flop with a rusty wrench, though. 🔧

Loved this book .
Ok first thing I absolutely loved this book. Hudson I wanted to strangle but I also really ended up liking him. He won me over in the end . I will have to say I fell in love with Corey . Can we please get a book for him? I definitely want more of him . I need to do a re read of this entire series.

I liked this one...epilogue was amazing. BUT come on....you hurt the love of your life because you don't want to tell her best friend/sister although your sister is with your best friend. And if you don't give your sister credit enough also for being happy for her best friend and brother being in love...you are clueless. it was frustrating at times. Glad it all ended well....but..

Prepare yourself. Grab a box of tissues. This book had me feeling quite emotional for over half of it. Don't worry, though, Hudson and Layana do get their HEA.

I love this series.
This is one of my favorite series, so I was super excited we were getting Hudson & Layana’s story. It was so good and yet so emotional. Their relationship has always been a secret and when Layana was tired of it being that way, she ended it. Only for them to both be miserable. When Hudson finally realized what he was letting go, he would stop at nothing to win back her and her trust.
