About the Tom Jesson is a physiotherapist specialising in nerve root problems. He has written two books about radicular pain, and published peer-reviewed research and textbook chapters on the topic. He is also an experienced writer and educator, practiced at summarising complex information in an easy-to-read style.

Prof. Annina Schmid is a Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist and a Neuroscientist affiliated with the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences at Oxford University in the UK.

She leads the Neuromusculoskeletal Health and Science Lab at Oxford University. Annina was the first allied health professional to win a prestigious Clinical Research Career Development Fellowship from the Wellcome Trust, recognising her contributions to discovery sciences.

Everything You need to know to cope with back pain

This text, clearly and accurately describes all that we currently know about sciatica and back pain from a clinical perspective. I believe that knowledge is power! And having this knowledge helped me cope with something that was scary and debilitating early on, but now I have hope of recovery!!

Great Book

Thorough, up to date , rich and lots of useful information here. So many angles from which to look at this complex phenomenon.

This book is phenomenal. Similar to Louis giffords the nerve root but far easier to understand. Super helpful for any therapists who treats back pain. I gift this to all my residents!
