Great story aimed at Young Adults, but I’m long past being one of those and I still thoroughly enjoyed this great immersive story. Melissa Bellis has a great imagination and she describes the world of fantasy and mystery well. Good narrative and solid characters. I was forwarded the book and I’m leaving a voluntary review in my own thoughts
When I read a story like this, I picture little girls falling to sleep with Moonhaven in their mind’s eyes. I can’t imagine any little girl not falling in love with not only the beauty of Moonhaven, but all the wonderful little creatures that live there with the witches, the pixies and Moonhaven’s newest member, Ember. The best thing about these stories, even though we can’t live there, is that we can revisit Moonhaven whenever we want to by rereading the stories again and again. All the Moonhaven stories are wonderfully written with the words flowing beautifully, and the stories are all about the characters growing and learning their strengths, wonderful friendships and the names are just outrageous! How does Melissa Bellis come up with names with Fiora Faunwhisper, Milo Featherwing or Lysander Nightcrest? They just fit the story perfectly.
