Ollie only has two rules: low calories and no straight men. But then fate brings him Finn.

Ollie Clark seems to have it all - beauty, sass, a loving family, a budding career in social media, and a follower count that rivals some celebrities. But he’s terrified of everything, especially the future, and dread perpetually haunts him. So he gets faster, trying to outrun his problems while sticking to his rules about food and dating because he’s been burned too many times.

Finn Cooper could use a break. He’s been alone for so long that it’s starting to take a toll and watching his best friend find The One only rubs salt in his solitary wound. Resigned to being a constant third wheel, he’s blindsided when one night his rideshare passenger is Ollie - a patch of sunshine with golden curls who captivates him and leaves him wanting more. Finn’s never been with a man before but he doesn’t think that matters until he runs headfirst into Ollie’s rule.

As fate connects them in surprising ways their attraction grows and so does Ollie’s restriction, for he has secrets to hide. Smitten and unaware, Finn fights for a chance at love, but when his past steps in it may cost them everything.

Will Ollie and Finn be able to break the rules, survive their secrets, and find their way to happiness together?

Ravenous is the 115K second book in The Pointe of Love series. It contains an age-gap, bi-awakening romance with hurt/comfort, nicknames, wedding bloopers, makeovers, tennis battles, vampire movie marathons, enough heat to keep your drink steaming while you read, and an HEA with no cliffhangers.

All books in The Pointe of Love series can be read as standalones, as they each follow a different couple, but they’re much more fun when read together.

There are topics in this book that may be difficult for some people. Please check the forward for content warnings.

This author's books deserve more attention, period.

After loving the first book, Addicted, by this author, I was excited to dive into this one about Finn and Ollie, the two best friends of the MC's from the first book.

Only, instead of an addiction to drugs like Liam had, we have Ollie, who has an eating disorder.

TW: be aware that this goes fully into EDs, to the worst it can go. Ollie is diagnosed with anorexia nervosa, and it gets so bad his hair is falling out, he faints regularly, he gets very cold very easily, and he loses a whole day because he's so exhausted and out of it.

This book does not pull any punches when it comes to EDs. How those with them can hide them for a long time before it becomes very visually apparent to others, how they can come up with excuses not to eat, or lie that they ate earlier, etc. How far they let their body and mind go to their disorder, without really grasping how serious it is.

So if eating disorders are a trigger for you, a deal breaker for any reason, this in one that has to be skipped.

I seriously almost cried when Ollie was at his worst. It was heartbreaking and difficult to read.

But, there is light at the end of the tunnel. The absolutely wonderful HEA we get at the end of this for Finn and Ollie was beautiful and heartwarming. It made all the pain and angst worth it.

And oh I cannot praise Finn enough. He's like the perfect book boyfriend. He's the boyfriend you wish existed in real life. Stunning, sweet, loyal, gentle, and adoring.

The way he loves and adores Ollie was beautiful to see. How he never wanted to give up on him, not once. That he wanted Ollie, ED and all. Because he saw beyond that, he saw who Ollie was underneath what his ED was doing to him. He saw him for the sweet, adorable, beautiful, kind, sunshine person that he was.

Sometimes you just have to read a romantic relationship done right. These two aren't perfect by any means - although can I say Finn is pretty damn close? Dream man, right there! - but they're perfect for each other. And they handle the hurdles of life and relationships in some of the best ways possible. Or well, Finn does. Ollie does eventually, though, when he's out of the worst grips of his disorder.

I know some of my updates seemed a bit frustrated with Ollie a few times, and I kind of was, but it was mainly to do with his ED. But I've never experienced that, I've always eaten when I'm hungry, I love food too much to not eat it, it just doesn't compute for me, personally, having that relationship with food. So when he thought of water having calories it blew my mind. When he wouldn't even eat like chicken? Which is pretty healthy meat overall? When he wouldn't even eat salad with any dressing - even a healthy dressing - when he had to psych himself up to "pretend to be normal" to his loved ones, when he researched a restaurant's menu so thoroughly to be able to pick something he could nibble at...it wasn't something I could identify with. So sometimes I was internally like "just eat Ollie please!"

But I also felt for him, so much. He broke my heart, what he rationalized, what he did to himself, how difficult it was for him to eat anything at all. How he was happy with how prominent his hip bones were becoming (horrifying, actually).

Ollie is someone who always wanted to run - from the future, mainly, and everything that could go wrong, and his own problems. Losing all that weight made him feel like he could run even faster away from anything in the future that could hurt him or those around him he loved. That was his anxiety disorder, feeding into his ED, and he even thought he'd "stop" once he reached a certain weight, but of course he didn't.

He would have kept going until he killed himself, if not for Finn.

Finn was patient and kind and gentle. He handled the situation with grace. He was the perfect partner for Ollie in all of this. He saved his life.

Of course, eventually Ollie gets professional help so he can save himself, stand on his own two feet, so he doesn't need Finn, in a codependent way. But Finn is so important to Ollie, and they are truly meant to be.

Their journey in this book is wonderful. And like the first book, I honestly wasn't too bummed by the sex coming later in the book, because Ollie was getting worse and worse and I would have rather the intimate stuff come after he's better than before.

I mean, we eventually get sex with them before Ollie's healed, but it is after they've talked about him getting help and he's made the first steps to do so.

The scene, to me, was so intense and passionate and wonderful. Their chemistry really shined through, and I loved it. Having this book take its time to really build up their relationship worked really well. Their connection was so amazing and intense and passionate by the time that they had sex that it was all working together wonderfully.

I HIGHLY recommend this book. This relatively new author deserves more attention and praise, and I'm so glad I found this series. I can't wait for you guys to read this. While difficult to read at times for a good portion of this, the ending makes it all SO worth it. I couldn't stop grinning by the end of this.

Also, I can't wait for Rain and Mason's book next. Mason seems so taciturn and seemingly uncaring of anything except photography that I can't wait to see Rain turn his world upside down (and the cute kitten Rain got too!)

Onto the next! 😍

“Why are you here, Finn?” “Because fate keeps bringing us together, over and over, until we get it right.”

A sweet hurt/comfort romance, angsty emotional moments, a fairytale where the knight saves his Sunshine.

He didn’t believe in love at first sight but maybe there was something to love at first kiss.

Even though it was romantic and tackled some important topics of mental health, I felt something missing. Sometimes it’s hard to pinpoint exactly what we don’t like about a book, why we don’t click with certain writing styles, and this was a very lovely read, but…not amazing?

Still, a heart-warming love story and I’m very happy Ollie got his happy ever after. And I’m diving into book three, because that sounds lovely as well.

He’d show Ollie that it wasn’t the end that mattered, it was the journey to it.

Where do I even start with this review? One thing is for sure, I need another hug after this emotional rollercoaster Sonia Blue yet again had me on, the only safety being a promised HEA.

Happiness, love, and contentment are beautiful but also temporary; eventually, all good things come to an end.

I already loved Finn from the first book in this series, so I was really looking forward to diving into his story. I already knew that he was a super caring and loyal friend, so I had a feeling I’d be seeing all that x10 when he’s in love. And that’s exactly what I saw in Ravenous.

First time Finn meets Ollie, Ollie is having a very bad day, and even though they are strangers, Finn tries his hardest to cheer up the beautiful man in his car whom he is instantly drawn to, and they end their meeting with a kiss that takes them both by surprise, mainly Finn, because he has never kissed a man before. Unfortunately Finn doesn’t have a way to contact Ollie again, and he’s trying to accept that he might never meet the beautiful young man again.

Ollie is ready for a fresh start, away from his family’s worried eyes and comments, and what’s a better place to live than the city where his new bestie lives (Liam, MMC from The Pointe of Love #1), and funny enough, it’s also the city where the guy he kissed a few months ago lives, and Ollie is hoping to meet him again.

They do meet again, but things are far from easy. Ollie has some rules, and Finn doesn’t live up to them, one being that he’s never been with a man before. So now Finn has to convince Ollie that Finn is all in. They grow closer and closer, but Finn is starting to see that Ollie has some problems way out of his league, and he needs to find a way to help him, because Ollie might not be in Finn’s life much longer if he doesn’t get help.

Okay so, I was emotional most of the time, but for a lot of different reasons. Obviously Ollie’s struggles had me tear up a lot, and when you finally think you can take a breath and think everything is going to be okay, NOPE! What a twist.

And then there is the relationship between Finn and his uncle. Gahhh, I don’t know why it made me tear up, but it did. It was so sweet, and Joe was the best Uncledad ever!

“I was gifted with you. Even though I didn’t birth you, you’re mine, and you made my life richer than it could ever have been.”

I also want to give a shoutout to John, the boss of The Pointe of Love, because this is the second time he has shown his awesomeness. He might be an unpleasant person most of the time, but well, he deserves a fictional shoutout.

It was also really great to see everyone from the first book, and some new people as well. Seeing Liam and Owen from the first book made my heart happy, and Owen managed to get his dad jokes inserted in this book as well.

Speaking of dad jokes, Finn might not have the jokes, but he is SUPER cheesy, like, it’s almost as “bad” as dad jokes.

“Am I still dreaming? Because I think I’ve been visited by the sun itself.”

He seriously is the cutest, I think I’m not too far off describing Finn as a cinnamon roll. It’s also extremely cute how he calls Ollie “Sunshine”. Also, the way he is just all in on everything that has to do with having a relationship with a man… Did anyone say cucumber?

It’s hard to write about Ollie and his feelings for Finn, because most of his feelings and thoughts come with a side dish of major anxiety and really unhealthy coping mechanisms. He wants to give in, but he is constantly worried about his appearance and many other things. But even at his worst, he still manages to be there for Finn when he needs it, and that says a lot about how invested Ollie really is.

The ending made my heart very happy, and I had a big smile on my face as I read the last page ♥

I feel like I could go on forever about this book, but I’ll stop here before I spoil too much.

Just going to add this though.

“I’d like you no matter if you’re a man, a woman, or a goat.”

“If I was a goat you’d be in trouble,” Ollie pointed out, wagging his finger.

“With who? The ASPCA? Even if you were a goat you’d like me back, you wouldn’t report me.”

Thank you for this ARC ♥

WHEN YOU ARE HUNGRY FOR SO MUCH MORE!💕

I love this series and will continue to read this amazing authors work in the future!

The truth is revealed why Ollie was so angry with Finn in the end of book 1 at Owen and Liam’s Christmas party…

Eating disorders and body morphing is a very hard subject to write about but the way that this author depicted it through the eyes of Ollie was so heart rendering and soul touching is all that I can say.

The loneliness that Finn endured throughout his childhood with only one parent figure- his uncle Joe and best friend Owen was showcased beautifully when he found that special connection with a younger man and not a woman but…

Their new found attraction and connection is hanging by a thread when the truth regarding Ollie’s eating disorder and fears regarding life could encumber their new found happiness…

I can definitely recommend this authors work and writing style that will touch the heart and soul!

I voluntarily received an ARC from GRR for an honest non biased review.

Another deep dive into difficult topics, this time an eating disorder, anxiety, and loneliness. This author is really good at covering intense topics with a lot of care and attention, while still keeping the overall vibe of the book feeling positive and hopeful. This one was particularly interesting because it's pretty rare to see stories about men suffering from eating disorders. It was a tough read at times, but very satisfying.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily

This was similar to the first book in the series. We have Ollie, an "influencer" with an eating disorder. He was friends with Liam from the first book when they were in high school and reunited when he ran into Liam at a wedding at the banquet hall Liam worked at.

We met Finn, the other main character in the first book as well. He is Owen's best friend from way back. He was driving a rideshare and picked up Ollie the night Ollie ran into Liam at the banquet hall. Ollie was more than a bit drunk and started sharing his fears with Finn. Finn decided to take Ollie to his secret spot overlooking the city.

They ended up kissing, but Ollie didn't get Finn's number. Three months later, we find Ollie moving out of his parents' house and into a house with a very odd photographer who we get to find more about in the third book. He and Liam are besties by this point. Liam went through out-patient drug rehab in the first book and Ollie was there for him.

Ollie is eventually reunited with Finn, however it doesn't last long. Finn has only been with women up to this point, and Ollie's last two boyfriends, or whatever you want to call them, were straight. He had a no straight men rule and he broke it off with Finn over it. That didn't last long either.

He went to a New Year's Eve part at Liam and Owen's home and guess who was there! Finn. Ollie goes off on him, but Finn convinces him to give him another chance. Ollie does and we eventually get our happily ever after.

However, Ollie is anorexic. Finn finally catches on, as do many of the secondary characters. We get an intervention by Ollie's family which drives Ollie away. He goes into hiding and avoiding everyone. Eventually, he gets past this. He goes into treatment for a few months and gets healthier. I like the author's message on the issue, because Ollie says that even after treatment, he's not 100% healthier. Before he goes into treatment, he addresses his social media followers and tells them what's going on. One follower says that they're going into treatment because of Ollie. That sticks with him during the entire time he's away.

Finn really shows Ollie how much he loves him by visiting every day and really sticking by him. We get a few side plots and twists that add to the story.

We get spicy times between the two. This is Finn's first time with a man and he's done his research. Ollie does not complain.

I do have one major complaint. Ollie and Finn talk about getting tested for STIs. Ollie says he's "clean" meaning he doesn't have any. This is offensive language. People with HIV and other diseases aren't "dirty". I've brought this up to other authors and they didn't realize what they were inferring. One said that he's going to change his use of language going forward. I hope this author does as well.

This is the second book in the series (it can be read as a standalone) and I was so looking forward to it because I absolutely loved the first book in the series. Sonia Blue did not disappoint! Both of the main characters are incredibly lovable and well-developed. The story tackles serious health issues such as body dysmorphia and anorexia, highlighting that these conditions can affect males as well as females.

The book begins with Ollie, a beauty influencer, attending his high school reunion. Once the "invisible" kid at school, Ollie has experienced what he calls a "glow up" after losing some weight. After the reunion, Ollie breaks down in the back of an Uber driven by Finn, who ends up comforting him during this vulnerable moment. Ollie feels that disorder is always lurking around the corner and he believes he must be light enough to outrun it. They part ways, thinking they will never meet again.

Finn, who was raised by his uncle after his mother's death and his father's abandonment, has been feeling increasingly alone, especially since his best friend found "the one." Fate intervenes when Ollie moves to Finn's town, and the two meet again. They begin dating and falling in love, but Finn starts to notice that Ollie has issues with food. Unsure of how to approach the topic, Finn tries to figure out the best way to support Ollie.

Meanwhile, Ollie starts to realise that his restrictive eating habits are causing serious health problems. He experiences lightheadedness, headaches and hair loss. Eventually, Ollie and Finn have an honest conversation about Ollie's struggles and together they seek treatment for him.

This is a really sweet book with a bit of angst. The author accurately depicts Ollie's food issues and the underlying causes, adding depth and realism to the story. Finn is incredibly supportive, willing to do whatever it takes to help Ollie become healthy.

Overall, this book is a heartfelt exploration of love, support, and overcoming personal demons. The characters' journey is both touching and inspiring. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series, eager to see where the author takes these wonderful characters next.

Oh boy am I glad I signed up for the ARC🩵Such a heartbreakingly beautiful love story about being in the right place at the right time, finding your person and helping each other heal. 🥹🩵
It held me in it’s hold the whole time I read it and made me swoon, cry and cheer the two MCs on! 😍 Absolutely loved the way Sonia told the story. You felt like you were there with them and feeling everything they felt! 🥺😭

My precious Ollie was a beautiful broken mess and in need of some tough love, but he still had all the sass, snark, kindness (towards others) and sweetness a Sunshine should. ☀️ He truly needed a Knight to help him get through all his troubles and anxieties and Finn literally was that for him🥹🩵
“Why are you so nice to me?” “You’ve asked me that before, you know,” Finn winked. “And it’s because you deserve it.” 🥺🩵🩵

Just Finn was perfect. Everyones dream guy. The purest heart in a gorgeous package. He treated Ollie with the tenderness and kindness he deserved. He adored everything about Ollie and wasn’t hesitant to show it every chance he got.😍

Sunshine and Just Finn were really a perfect match. Knowing the other inside and out and healing and getting stronger together. Loved them so much🩵
“Because a captivating, sassy, talented ray of sunshine had lit up Finn’s soul, blowing away his loneliness and showing him how much more there could be. How much more he could be. And how much more they could be, together.”

Loved all the side characters too! Especially Finns uncledad 🩵 and Liam and Owen! Gonna read their book soon, cause I already love them and want to read their love story too! 😍 and I can’t wait for the next book. Did not see the couple coming until the end! It’s gonna be so good!

So if you love hurt/comfort books with an age gap and two absolutely wonderful, raw and real leading men then go get the book!! It comes out tomorrow and I can’t wait for you all to fall in love with Finn and Ollie too! 🩵🩵

Please check the trigger warnings before reading!!

Finn and Ollie's Story

Includes:
*MM Romance
*Age Gap
*High Level Angst 🥹
*MMC struggles with Anxiety and an eating disorder
*Lovable uncledad 🤧🥰
*HEA ☺️

Ravenous is the second book in the "Pointe of Love" book series by Sonia Blue. This book was a stellar read, but it is not for the faint of heart. Since, I have my own problems with emotional eating and this book's MMC struggles with both an anxiety disorder and an eating disorder it hit home and it took me longer to read, due to the emotional journey it took me on.

Finn is a knight for Ollie, and Ollie is Finn's sunshine. Their romance does not come easy since Finn didn't even know he could love a man until he meets Ollie. And Ollie has an anxiety disorder that has a direct impact on his body image and relationship with food.

I feel that the author did an impeccable job in describing how anxiety manifests and can take control of one's life.

🥺 Quote that Stuck With Me:
His anxiety screamed, dread lurking and doubts laughing, but they couldn't drown out the fact that Ollie wanted Finn.

I recommend this book to people who enjoy MM romance, high level of angst, and would like to read about two people who find strength and love in one another despite life's obstacles.

Additional Notes: Finn's Uncledad 'Joe' is such an endearing character. Loved him. Also, John makes an appearance, and it is hilarious as always. 🤣

During the Vampire movie dates, I was hoping for a mention of 'Interview with the Vampire' since I'm obsessed with that show. Maybe Finn and Ollie can watch it together in the third book in the series.
🧛‍♂️🩸😉 But there was an 'Underworld' mention, and I love those movies, so it was a nice little touch to the story. 😊

This is the second book in the series but can be read as a standalone. Both of the MC's are really lovable. This book does deal with the serious health issues of body dysmorphia and anorexia that many think that only females are affected by. The book starts off with Ollie, who is a beauty influencer, at a high school reunion. He was the "invisible" kid in school but has undergone as he calls it "a glow up" with some weight loss. Finn is a Uber driver who picks Ollie up afterwards and end up comforting Ollie when he breaks down crying in the back of his car. Ollie always feels that distorter is just waiting to happen and he has to be light enough to out run it. They think they will never meet again. Meanwhile, Ollie is beginning to realize that his using food deprivation is beginning to have serious problems when he begins feeling light headed with headaches and losing hair. He and Finn talk and find treatment for Ollie. This is a really sweet book with a bit of angst. I really love how accurately the author depicts Ollie's food issues and the underlying causes. Finn is so supportive of Ollie and willing to do whatever it takes for Ollie to be healthy. I'm looking forwards to the next book in the series.

This is the second book in the wonderful Pointe of Love series! It's a truly captivating romance that weaves together an age gap, a gay-for-you theme with hurt/comfort elements. Ollie seems to have it all: he's gorgeous, he's got a great sense of humour, he's got a loving family and he's just starting out in social media. But underneath it all, he's really scared of what the future holds and is haunted by a sense of dread. His rules – low calories and no straight men – are a result of some past heartbreaks.

Finn Cooper, on the other hand, has been on his own for a while now. As a constant third wheel, he's blindsided when his rideshare passenger turns out to be Ollie – a gorgeous guy with golden curls who captivates him. Finn's never been with a man before, but he's really drawn to Ollie in ways he can't ignore.

As their love for each other grows, secrets start to emerge. Ollie's restrictions make it tricky for them to be together, but Finn is determined to give love a chance. But when their pasts catch up, it could have a really negative effect on their relationship.

The author promises an emotional rollercoaster with lots of silly nicknames, wedding mishaps, makeovers, tennis battles, and vampire movie marathons. And don't worry, the book delivers an HEA (happily ever after) with no cliffhangers.

This book follows Ollie and Finn. Ollie and Finn meet by chance, Finn being Ollie’s uber driver. From the first moment they meet Finn can’t get Ollie out of his head. As the two grow closer Finn begins to think that Ollie might be hiding something from him something that is slowly killing Ollie, an eating disorder. This book is so underrated i beg you to read it it’s available on kindle unlimited :)

This book absolutely blew me away. When i saw it had so little ratings i did not have high hopes but holy cow this book is underrated. Finn and Ollie felt so real both coming with flaws and just so human. Finn feels like this perfect guy but when it comes to Ollie’s eating disorder he has no idea what to do and finds himself at a cross roads and it was just such a human reaction making him feel like a real person. And Ollie he just was like a ray of sunshine and as someone who used to be anorexic this book hit so close to home at times it was almost a little to much for me and i would have to put the book down but it was just so real such a beautiful depiction and i loved how Finn’s love wasn’t enough to heal Ollie because that’s just not how this works. Overall this book is so underrated

"You're mine. My sunshine. Forever."

I honestly don't know how I have not found this author before now.
This book was spot on.
The trauma, the past, the triggers.
Just like book 1 I will not be putting much into this review because honestly this series is so worth the time to look it up and go in blind but reading the triggers, cause mind your mental health always!

Oliver & Finn are the broken boys I didn't know would take me for this much of a painful ride.
I mean I hurt with Liam & Owen but that was on a completely different level than this one.
I always love when I can relate to a book and the topics inside if they are a hard issue. This one was especially hard to maneuver but Sonia did a fantastic job of conveying what is happening and also the why.
Everyone goes through what Ollie does and it's never the same for everybody, it's a unique one.
The way that Tennis could be a metaphor for this book wasn't lost on me because you know, back and forth but also having someone with you along the way.

This book was beautifully done.
Was it a hard read, yes it was for me personally but it didn't make me shy away from it but to stay deep in that world.

Sonia has done an incredible job with this series so far and I cannot wait to read more.

And I thought Addicted was sad....

After my heart recovered from Liam's sad story in Addicted, I wasn't expecting to feel even sadder reading Ollie's story but I did.
I can't imagine how debilitating it is to suffer from severe anxiety, like Ollie did, and then throw in an eating disorder as a result of that anxiety. Sonia dealt with both subjects very sensitively and very frankly, not glossing over the realities and severity of Ollie's mental and physical health. It was brutal and heartbreaking, watching Ollie go downhill while hiding under baggy clothes and behind clever makeup and brittle smiles.
Just as Owen supported and loved Liam in Addicted, Finn was Ollie's rock in Ravenous and he was fantastic. Gentle and patient and loving, the perfect partner for Ollie, I couldn't have loved him more. Ollie was a sweetheart too and I wanted to wrap him in cotton wool and keep him safe. I loved their story and I loved their HEA.
Familiar faces from Addicted appear alongside with new characters to love, including Finn's Uncle Joe who was fabulous. Mason was enigmatic and I've got his book, Obsessed, to read once I've recovered from this one.

Ollie and Finn ❤️

4.5 Stars ⭐️

Wow, this book was heavy hitting. It touched on a subject that we don't often read about in such a real and raw fashion that it will quite literally bring tears to your eyes. I strongly suggest read the triggers before starting. With that being said, this relationship build was incredible, throughout I cried my heart out, I cried for Ollie but I also cried for the patience, support and simple kindness that Finn displayed. If there ever were a perfect book boyfriend it would be Finn. Even though this book was the good, the bad and the ugly of an ED it also had a lightness laced through as these two's feelings began to grow toward love. You could imagine the dark clouds begin to fade into something so fragile yet beautifully healing and wonderful. I cannot say enough about this story, this author was new to me on the last book and now this!!! They will be an instant yes from now on!!! I would absolutely recommend this book, it was painfully beautiful.

A Joyfully Jay review.

3.75 stars

Ravenous is the second book in the Pointe of Love series and with the first book, Addicted, being released a year ago, it took me a little while to get reacquainted with this world. The book mostly stands alone, although Owen and Liam from the first story do play a role here. The book touches on some difficult subject matters, such as eating disorders and anxiety, so read with care if those are considerations for you.

The book is over 400 pages and it went it too many additional storylines and a reveal that didn’t ultimately work for me. I did like the core story of Ollie and Finn finding their balance and happiness and, with the next book set up, I would return to this world again.

The first book in this series was wonderful, and I think I enjoyed book two even more. It’s truly special how this author writes characters that are fully realized and so easy to connect with. I loved Finn for Ollie right from the start, he really stands up to fight for Ollie in a way that likely saved his life. The way the author is able to tell Ollie’s story with such raw emotion was impressive, I was really afraid for him. His anxiety is like a living breathing thing hanging over him. As the story progresses, the anxiety is definitely winning, and I hated seeing Ollie start to waste away, the effects of his eating disorder are so scary. He gets to quite a low place but with Finn, Ollie finds the strength to fight for their future. Loved it, beautiful writing, authentic characters, and a triumphant HEA for Ollie and Finn. This author can really tell a beautiful story.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

If Addicted left you wanting more, Ravenous feeds that hunger.

Compelling characters, high-intensity storylines, and all the angst and character development you could ask for, Sonia Blue deserves far more attention than she gets for her books and the way she can tell a story. Ravenous is a high-intensity story, and the way it deals with uncomfortable topics is delicate, but it doesn't shy away from it.

Mental health representation without being performative can be hard to find, but this book covers things that a lot of people aren't comfortable with, in a way that's both dramatic enough to make for a good book but also real enough to be relatable. This was intense and wonderful to read, and truly a joy to see more characters and how they grow and learn.

Ravenous can be read as a standalone from Addicted, but I highly recommend reading all of them. The Pointe of Love series keeps you engaged and follows through on the vows of romance and love.

This series is so good.

I really like the way that Sonia Blue doesn't write about difficulty personal journeys in a textbook, general way, but makes them specific to her characters. Ollie, a makeup and fashion influencer, is beset by an anxiety about future bad things happening that informs his relentless and eventually terrifying eating disorder. His fears spool across the page with specificity and realism. While Finn can be read as his "knight," he also has his own demons to slay. The hurt/comfort goes both ways, but it is largely centered on Ollie and whether he can first, let Finn in, and second, recover. The relationship between the two is fascinating, and just like with the first book, the secondary characters are also important to the story.

Without giving spoilers, I also appreciate that the author portrays the process of healing as a journey that is part of the book, and not a quick fix.

This is my first book by this author. I feel honored to have been chosen to read an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. The tropes of age-gap and gay for you drew me in. This as an enjoyable read that tackled very important issues like body image, anxiety, and depression from the lense of a male perspective. Heed the trigger warnings of this book. I am not someone who is triggered by the content, but I am medically squeamish. I did have to put the book down at a couple points, due to sensitive content. The characters were clear, distinct, and compete. Even though I have not read the first book (yet), I could follow the book clearly. I will be checking out the first book as well as books that come later in the series.

My favorite part of this book came at 69% when we meet Ellie in person. So glad that was included.

Finn falls for a guy for the first time, but Ollie has been burned by straight guys before, so is reluctant to take a chance on him. This is a very high angst story, but the real source isn't Finn's lack of experience with men, it's Ollie's crippling anxiety and eating disorder.

I loved going back to the Pointe, the wedding venue that is the setting for this series, and seeing what lies behind the sparkly facade that Ollie put up in the first book. He's trapped by the grind of his influencer persona, and trying to hide that he's wasting away.

Finn's issues are less dramatic, worrying about the uncle who raised him, and realising that he lives quite an isolated existence, but I found him very relatable.

It's an emotional ride, with some wonderfully memorable characters, and it definitely captures the heartache of seeing someone you love self destructing before your eyes.

"....healing is not a straight line..." Nor are relationships ......but you get there in the end.

Masterfully done....this book is powerful....in it's theme and the actual story as well. It's a long book - so if you want one with plenty of depth and plenty of angst, this is the one !! This is one of those stories where you know where it's heading, like watching a train wreck happening in slow motion.....but you need to know what happens and how they heal...and that part is just beautiful ! Ugly sob crying beautiful !! Even thought The Pointe is in the story, it's not all based there...rather, it focuses on Ollie & Finn. I just love how they are with each other - their interactions are heart-breathtakingly wonderful ... the support they offer each other....swoon...... I'm loving the new characters as well and will be interested to see who's next....Mason - love him !!!

This was a very thought provoking story. It describes the hard work, dedication and discipline someone with an eating disorder adheres to to achieve their perceived ideal weight.
Very sadly alot do not survive.

Ollie is slowly killing himself, with his rigid limits on food and his over the top exercise regime.
Finn is a very solitary person. He loves his uncle Joe, also his best friend Owen and his partner Liam but he spends alot of time alone.
When the Ollie finally agrees to date Finn, Finn believes it will be perfect, but it slowly becomes apparent Ollie needs specialist help.

Another winner! I’m really enjoying this series by Sonia Blue.

Ravenous by Sonia Blue is book 2 in The Pointe of Love series. Ollie is Liam’s friend from high school. They reconnected after events in book 1. Ollie is a social media influencer who is obsessed with losing weight. He is looking for that feeling he gets when he is ‘lighter’ because it seems like he can float away from tragedy. His eating disorder is made even more complicated with his anxiety and depression.

Finn is entranced with Ollie. He has never been with a man, but he knows beyond a shadow of a doubt that he wants Ollie. It is a hard journey for these two, but man was it a good one. Sonia does such a great job of piling the emotions in the story that makes it hard to put down. I never once questioned how much these two love each other. Their love was palpable and real. Finn was a wonderful book boyfriend, but I am very glad that he was not ‘perfect’. He had his own issues to overcome while Ollie was working on his.

I am loving this series and cannot wait to read about Mason and Rain.

Second part of a series with another two MCs struggling with themselves and helping each other to heal. It took some time to remember other characters from book 1 but that didn't influence reading this part. Ollie suffers badly from anxiety and an eating disorder and this is written about in great detail, which is great but can be very hard to read. While some of the plots weren't necessary for the story and perhaps made it a bit too long, the constant struggle to keep healing and the emphasis that this will continue for a long time was excellent.

Finn and Ollie were so romantic but in a real-life kind of way. Finn thinks Ollie is beautiful and he cannot resist being attracted to him. But their first meeting is fleeting. Ollie is now in the Pointe to move close to his best friend Liam. You can read this as a standalone romance, but this is building up to be one of those small-town romance series where you want to read them all in order. Finn is a wonderful man but he has to be willing to accept his newfound love for a man for Ollie! Ollie has rules!

I really enjoyed the first book in the series and this one is even better. Ollie and Finn have a lot to deal with in this book but the author didn't put a foot wrong for me. Ollie and his ED struck so close to home - the feelings that led him to want to control some things he could, the ups and downs emotionally, the struggles to hide the problem and the way that can work for some time and so many other small things. Finn was there all the way, steadfast and supportive without being coercive and controlling. A tough read in some parts but an excellent one.

This book addresses a very serious situation in the best possible way. It is, indeed, a love story but it’s a love story with alot to say. Good, strong characters bring this story to life. Good friends add their voices and a happy ending for our heroes leaves you feeling quite pleased. I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book.

He is about to meet a man who may help him break his rules. What is going to happen? Will they help him deal with everything? Will he have a new love in his life? See how it will all go
