I loved this omnibus edition of Davin and Galina's story! Having both books together with all the incredible bonus scenes is such a treat, and something I absolutely love about the way Elle and Robin publish their stories!

It was a real will they won't they romance, but the character growth through the book felt genuine and true to their character. It was quite dramatic and felt like a race against the clock, so the pacing of the book was quite fast and slow, fast and slow, but I really enjoyed it. It felt like you had some time to let the characters settle before another bomb was dropped on them.
The main "villain" reveal kept me on my toes throughout the whole book, I kept going back and forth and think I suspected everyone at some point - at once stage I had convinced myself Galina was the villain! The whole reveal was so well done, so that you were realising what was happening along with the characters, which I loved.

If you enjoy a low spice fantasy romance, I would definitely recommend this series, as well as Mahle and Madison's other books in the Lochlann realm.

The Lochlann Deception is the telling of Davin's story and this omnibus contains both Hollow Court and Fragile Oath. But wait! There's more! There are extra bonus chapters in this book!
Get excited because these bonus chapters are everything and more! They add so much more to the story that will literally grab at your heart and keep you engaged to the final page.
This collection of books is absolutely swoon-worthy drama filled fantasy packed with dynamic characters, family connections, and heart-rending romance.
The dynamics laid out on these pages between Davin and Galina are absolutely everything. The push and pull of the romance between them is something familiar to these two authors and it absolutely works. The bonus chapters/content? The cherry on top. Don't miss out on grabbing this omnibus and making it yours.

First off, this series is fantastic. My reviews for the two main books can be found under the individual stories, Hollow Court and Fragile Oath.

This edition has both books PLUS bonus chapters!!

The emotional toll just the bonus chapters took was in true ElBin style - and that means they ripped my heart out and put it back together so it was whole once again, but goodness gracious did some of these chapters pack an emotional punch I hadn’t prepared for - in the best way possible! We get additional points-of-view including Davin’s mother, and I’d love to get her story told in full, Davins cousins, his aunt, and more from Galina and Davin as well - extending scenes from the original story or giving them to us from a new POV. It all just makes me want the next spin off in my hands right now!

Another highly recommended addition to the Lochlann world!

I absolutely loved reading more about this world. I've read each book individually and thoroughly enjoyed reading all the extras brought out in this set. We got to see other scenes taking places during the times of Gavin and Galina working through the chaos taking place. We saw love and loss. Laughter and heartbreak. And everything else in-between.
But when it came down to it, Gavin and Galina were meant to be together.

This was the first of the Lochlann series that I have read and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I was definitely pulled into the beautiful world created. I loved following Davin and Galina's story filled with laughs, love, betrayal and mystery. There was definitely some character growth. I felt that the bonus chapters included really gave more context and even included pov's from other characters as well. All in all, I really enjoyed this series and can't wait to go back and read the others.

The Lochlann Deception omnibus includes both of the books (Hollow Court and Fragile Oath) in Davin and Galina’s story. These books are another awesome installment in the Lochlann world. You can check out my individual reviews for each on the book’s page.

The omnibus has so much bonus content, it is crazy!! I am a complete sucker for additional POV’s and these did not disappoint! We get a bunch more chapters from both Davin and Galina, but we also get chapters from Davin’s mom, his cousins and others!

This edition is totally worth getting!

Romantic Content: fade to black with steamier kisses/lead up.

I’d read both books already, but couldn’t let the opportunity pass by to read this one as well because of the bonus content!
As always with ElBin’s books, the bonus content is a great added value to the rest of the series. The bonus content grants you more insights in the main characters’ heads and feelings. It’s amazing to see certain things play out through the other’s eyes as well.

Now, for the main storyline:

Review of Hollow Court: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
It feels like coming home...

I was so excited when Elle Madison and Robin D. Mahle announced that Davin would get his own books. He is such a charming, witty, handsome, adventurous, wonderful, flirtatious, yet soft hearted character… How could I not be excited? After having read the book I can promise you, you won’t be disappointed.

It’s a very character driven book, with less action than the other books in this world, but with promises for a lot more to come in the sequel (this, the fact that I expected one or two more major but amazingly executed plot twists, and the miscommunication trope cause me to give this book 4 stars instead of 5. Nevertheless I really enjoyed reading it). Because I already knew all the main characters and their past, it really felt like coming home. This resulted in me getting carried away with the story almost immediately, making it hard to put it down (please, just one more chapter? Hahaha nope, impossible).

The present storyline alternates with flashbacks, telling pieces of Davin’s and Galina’s story that happened simultaneously with the Lochlann Feuds. This was a little bit confusing at the beginning, to pinpoint these flashbacks to an exact moment in time. Nevertheless, as the story progresses, you get used to it. The way they are woven into the present storyline is a real added value.

I absolutely loved how the authors introduce some new Socairian words to the readers as well (we all remember the feels with der’mo Lemmikki, right? 😉 ).

So my message to everyone who has already read the Lochlann Feuds: you have to read Hollow Court NOW! It’s really amazing. You’ll love to get to spend time together with Davin, Gwyn, Gal and the others again. But beware, it ends on a cliff hanger… Luckily there is another book coming 😊
My message for people who are new to the Lochlann Realm books: First of all, WELCOME! So glad to have you! I would recommend checking out Scarlet Princess first, it’s the first book in the Lochlann Feuds series (or if you want to go way back to the beginning: start with Winter’s Captive. It’s the first book of the Lochlann Treaty and the very first book set in the Lochlann Realm, dating some 20 years back in time compared to Scarlet Princess). After having devoured that series, you’ll enjoy the Lochlann Deception books even more. Notwithstanding my recommendation, if you absolutely want to dive into the Lochlann Realm with Hollow Court? That’s also a possibility, but might leave you with some unanswered questions and spoilers for the Lochlann Feuds and Treaty. Happy reading!

Review of Fragile Oath: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Perfect finale for Davlina's story. These lovable characters go through a lot of stuff in this book. But don't worry, even though it takes some time, they will have their happily ever after, love and trust will conquer all. We also get to see a big part of the rest of the crew again (including some thieving uncles), so be prepared for humour, teasing and fierceness. There is political dissent that has to be overcome, a rebel movement to overthrow and a Viper to be unmasked. I adore the setting of this book, and of all other Lochlann books of course. It's also a very smooth read, I finished it in two days because I had to know how everything would play out. I can only recommend you to pick this book up and embark on your next adventure with Davin, Galina, Gwyn, Gal and the others.

Absolutely loved this! I loved this continuation of the Lochlann series with Davin's story! He was a favorite from the Feuds series with his relationship with Rowan, and he did not disappoint in this one!

I love the intrigue and politics and intricate details with spies and traitors and rebellions. I am very excited to see what comes next and to get more information on what exactly is going on in his kingdom. Davin was sweeter and more intense than I was expecting from the glimpses of him we got with Rowan. We got to see some of his personality and hints of who he was with his relationships with his cousins, but seeing him interact with Galina and giving us those flashbacks of their time together before, rounded out his character even more fully and made him even more lovable.

Galina is an interesting character, and I really do like her a lot! There are times that she annoys me, mainly with her anger toward Davin when she would be the one who ran and didn't let him explain anything. But I really like seeing her strength and intelligence come out. Her background is sad and strict, and I am curious to see how the first few chapters of book two go.

Book 2 was the perfect conclusion to Davin and Galina's story and the perfect addition to the Lochlann stories. I am really hoping that we will keep getting more of this world and these characters because they are always flawlessly done! I will admit that I was a bit uninformed going into this one and didn't realize that this series would be a duology and not be longer, but it all worked out!

I grew to love Galina much more in this book! She annoyed me at the start for the same reasons as in the first book, but it was understandable. We knew why she was doing what she was doing... but I just didn't agree with her doing it. And Davin was perfection as usual. This man is charming and smart and kind and protective and witty! Everything we love in a man! Their journey was so well executed, and their ups and downs were relatable and realistic. I enjoyed every bit of their journey!

I do think that the ending felt a little bit rushed and pulled together almost too quickly, but everything made sense. All of the clues added up. The plot lines all seemed to close. I do wish we had gotten a little bit more of an ending, but it really did not detract from the story in my eyes because we knew the bad guys were caught and the couple was ending up together. I think one thing that would have made it feel more final to me was if we saw more of them taking down the rebellion. More than just catching The Viper, but something telling us or showing us that they were able to clear out the soldiers working against them and quell the masses a bit. But I will also say that the fact that this isn't touched upon at the end, as well as the multiple mentions of different factions of rebels throughout the books, gives me hope that there will be more books in the Lochlann series!

Hollow Court:
Did I think it was possible to love Davin, Gal, and Gwyn so much in a single book? Nope. Did I fall in love with each of them at some point in Hollow Court? Yep!

The banter between these three and their acceptance of Galina made my heart so happy, as did Oli and Jocelyn’s acceptance and uncanny ability to know about Davin and Galina’s hearts more than they knew themselves. I also enjoyed seeing Galina come into her own, knowing not all men will treat her like Alexei, despite her lingering fear from that situation. She is starting to learn that Davin’s family truly will let her make her own choices, and she can be Safe and unharmed, even while being herself.

Robin and Elle seamlessly intertwined Davin and Galina’s faux engagement with the bigger trouble of Davin possibly losing his home with the even bigger trouble of the Uprising. I am so so curious/excited/nervous to find out what happens after that cliffhanger - are the Wintergreen and the call from the Magistrate related? Who is the Viper and what are their goals? Will Gwyn ever best her father? All things I hope to learn in book two!

Fragile Oath:
I absolutely adored being back in Lochlann with our whole crazy crew. The second book in the Lochlann Deception kept me on my toes the whole time. When I thought the major plot point that needed to be solved was over, there was a whole other issue that needed to be resolved, even bigger than the first! There were one or two revelations I didn’t see coming that really wowed me. And Malishka, my new fav character ❤️❤️ I loved the little quirks such as the intro to grandma Siobhan’s ring that no one could even pretend was beautiful 😂 one of my favorite parts was seeing the OG generations characters back in action. I enjoyed seeing Galina’s character grow and develop and overcome her upbringing, despite reverting to old ways at one point and seeing whether her family could/would support her growth or not. Gal and Gwyn were some of my favorites this book and I’m really hoping we get more with them. I also liked getting to now Avani a bit this book, creatures and all. This world is one of my all-time favorites and I can’t wait for more!

The omnibus included additional bonus chapters from all of the characters we know and love, adding just a bit extra to this already amazing story. Some make you laugh out loud, some make you want to cry, and some remind us just how far the Lochlann crew has really come, even back from Treaty times. Definitely worth getting the omnibus for this content alone!

First I have to say that I have been in love with the Lochlann world for a few years now and Elle & Robins newest series did not disappoint. If you are new to reading their books, I do recommend starting with the Lochlann Treaty series first or at least the Feuds series to be familiar with the characters.

With all of that said, I couldn't wait when I heard they were writing Davin's story. Davin has been my favorite of the cousins since the Lochlann Feuds series and I was so excited when they decided to tell his story next. His cocky and charming personality and protectiveness over his family has always made me love him. And his character had so much growth in this series. Deception picks up after the Feuds series and after reading the prologue I was already surprised by one of the main characters! I wasn't expecting to see Galina again, but it was definitely a good surprise and I've loved learning about her story and seeing her personality come out along the way. She is a great strong female character, just like all of Elle & Robin's female characters, and all through out the series she starts to learn just how strong she really is and that she doesn't have to accept the life she always thought she would have to have. Davin is still the lovable and charming guy that I've grown to love in the Feuds series and the witty banter (definitely one of Elle & Robin's specialties) between not just him and Galina, but all of the characters in the series is definitely one of my favorite parts. I truly came to love Jocelyn in this series and finally learning and putting together the little pieces of her backstory that they have gave us.

I have to say I was so excited by how many of the original characters they brought in. I truly loved Charlie's story and the characters that made me fall in love with Elle & Robin's writing to begin with. And I absolutely love how they brought so many of them into this book.

Saying all of that, this series had me on the edge of my seat the entire time, having to know what was going to happen next. It always kept you guessing and just when you think you had it figured out, something else would happen to make you question everything. And the bonus chapters are always the best part of their omnibus books. Overall it was another great series. I absolutely love this world that they have created and I think that there is definitely something for everyone to enjoy.

Received an Advanced Reader’s Copy from the authors in exchange for an honest review. Thank you!

I first came across Robin and Elle through BOMM (Book of Matches Media) where I read their The Lochlann Feuds series and fell in absolute love with them and their work. That series was amazing and if you’re like me, this omnibus has surprises for you!

There’s two things I’ve come to love about Mahle and Madison’s work. One, that every character they write sounds unique to themselves and two, their plots are always strong. They bring a lot of humour, heart and emotion to everything they write and Fragile Oath and Hollow Court are no different. Their work has always been easy to read, the world-building neat and comprehensible and their characters loveable.

I love the authors for ensuring to not do the same thing again as their previous series and changing up the trope. Rowan and Evander were a proper enemies to lovers trope. But Davin and Galina are more like… friends to enemies to lovers. Of sorts. There’s also a borderline miscommunication trope and some mild mutual pining.

I absolutely loved the family dynamics in this gigantic series that Robin and Elle have built and I would recommend reading them in that order to be able to truly enjoy these connections. The cousins are my favourite and I love that they’ve been there in the series for one another throughout. I have to say a certain character is on my mind and I’m curious to see if his story is what we’ll read about next. (This edition gives us a hint!)

The bonus content drew me straight in and I sunk right into it and gosh, some of the POVs made my heart hurt. They will surprise you and they will send you right back to all the emotions that you felt through the whole series.

Four stars!! Happy reading! This series is the sweetest and it’s available on KU! So happy happy reading!

Oh man, if you've ever dived into any of Elle and Robin's Lochlann series, then you know you're in for a treat. They've got this amazing talent for making the pages practically dance with life, making you forget you're just reading a book. So, there's this omnibus out now that bundles up Hollow Court and Fragile Oath, and let me tell you, it's got everything I adore. You've got that juicy enemies-to-lovers vibe – a total guilty pleasure, right? Plus, there's that whole second-chance-at-love thing that always gives me the feels.

This time around, we're tossing it back to the days of the Lochlann Deception, and we get to watch the main male character (MMC) and the main female character (MFC) really come into their own. They're not just growing up; they're figuring out how to navigate some pretty choppy waters, what with all the unrest stirring among their people.

And the banter – oh, it's just the cherry on top. Elle and Robin have this knack for making their characters talk and interact in ways that feel so real, you'll find yourself laughing out loud or nodding along like they're your friends too. It just makes everyone stick with you long after you've closed the book.

One of the coolest parts about diving back into the world of Lochlann is catching up with characters from earlier in the series. It's like attending a high school reunion but with folks you actually want to hang out with. Getting to see where everyone's ended up, what they're doing – it's like catching up with old friends.

And a little side note – if you can, definitely check out the audiobook. The accents are absolutely delightful and bring a whole new layer of immersion to the experience. Seriously, Elle and Robin's stories plus those accents? It's a whole vibe.

First off, I am so thankful for the opportunity to ARC read for these amazing books!

For rating, I was between a 4 and 5 star, but the bonus content and ending to the book made me happier than any book I've read lately, so I decided to round up to a 5.

These books had political intrigue, court life, second chance, slow burn, and a lot of other great components! Both books started off strong and kept a good pace throughout. I felt the plot had a lot of great detail with no plot holes, and the ending tied it all up beautifully. I haven't read these books without the bonus content, but the bonus content added so much to the story and was the cherry on top!

I was already in love with the lochlann world and it's hints of Scottish charm from the other books in the world and with the bonus content, it felt like it tied all of the worlds together, which just made me fall further in love with the lochlann world.

I loved all of the characters in the books (minus Alexei), the banter, and, of course, the adorable creatures (I wish I had a pet flying squirrel I could talk to). Now for Davin and Galinas' relationship 😍! It all felt very real and was the perfect slow burn relationship. With Galinas's story, there is some heavier content, so make sure to check TW's. I do feel that those heavier scenes, while hard to read at times, were done really well and also really added to her as a character and her growth.

I would definitely recommend reading honestly the whole lochlann world for the full effect, but even just this duology alone is great! I also hope to see more lochlann stories from other characters....

From the very first Lochlann book to this latest duet, I have been hooked and eagerly eat up each and every story happily!

I couldn’t help but see ties in Davin’s story back to the struggle his own parents went through and the lengths they were willing to go to protect the ones they loved.

I’d personally recommend it after the Lochlann Feuds series since these two do appear there and reference events that took place there that shapes their relationship dynamic.

The angst and political intrigue was epic in these! I personally did not see the twists that came along. I was rooting for these two and also yelling at them to ‘just talk it out already! You love her/him’ And once Gwyn of all people got through to Galina and she told her truths I was smiling with tears in my eyes knowing how hard that was for her.

A m/f epic fantasy romance full of drama, intrigue, court mechanics, epic betrayals, twists and turns, healing, love and loyalty.

Dual povs told in first person

Characters- lots of characters from all the series but the couple that this series features is:

Galina Zhakarov - Socairan from Clan Ram
Davin Pendragon - Laird of Lithlinglau, Lochlannian

Steam - fade to black

I've read the Lochlann Deception series before, but the new BONUS material is worth the re-read. Galina's story hits me every time. It takes an exceptional team of writers to be able to tease out the mental and emotional turmoil Galina had to overcome thanks to the way she was raised. It was a read I can relate to, and I thought the authors did an incredible job giving justice to what it's like to not have the privilege of being able to simply say no.

The bonus material added even MORE to this incredible story. My favorite bonus scene was Jocelynn. Another women who knew what it was like to have her choices taken from her. I love that in her own refined way she fought harder for Galina than anyone else. And of course, ANY scene with our favorite Lochlann couple (I'll leave it there to avoid spoilers) is a win for me! These authors know how to tease out that particular relationship perfectly.

All in all, I've always loved this story, but now I love it more! This story is worth delving into, and if you find yourself frustrated with Galina, pay particular attention to Jocelynn's Bonus scene.

I’ve known (or read about lol) Davin since a tiny baby (if you know you know) and seen him adult and having his love story unravel was such a delight, coming from Rowan I would have never know mr.cousin would make me swoon as much as mr. ML in Rowan ok I thought it impossible but this story it’s just unique in its own right and honestly the attention to the connection between them was the swooniest. The double POV made this 100 times better and the bonus content, lord take my soul.
My only complaint because I look at this story objectively and want to be fair it’s that since they already had history the resolution came real fast (well not much of a complaint for my anxious heart but still.)
Also wanted to note that I’ve always enjoyed that these books (lochlann world) have always given me something more than just romance they have a problem like a major “bigger than the romance” type of plot and as a reader of more than one genre it really keeps my attention.

Fav things about this book:
1. Second chance trope (yup first book I’ve ever read about this trope so this is the BAR PEOPLE)
2. The letters
3. And of course the bickering 🫠

She saved his life one night on the rooftop in a country where he was being held prisoner. Little did she know that she had just saved the life of a Laird of Lochlann. Seeing him again is painful, heartbreaking. But somehow it still fills her with hope.
Her life as she knows it is dangerous, so dangerous that she risks the treasonous act of asking Davin to take her with him to his country. That moment of vulnerability and courage sets off this 2 book series of figuring out what went wrong that first time, and learning how to trust someone enough to ask them for help again and again. I love this world already through the previous series. (The Lochlann Treaty & the Lochlann Feuds- this story takes place afterwards but remains mostly spoiler free:) each character has a vibrant personality of their own that I adore as a reader. And as a writer I am extremely impressed by how real and detailed each character is. When you pick this up definitely go for this edition with this cover on kindle so you can read the new bonus scenes because they are absolutely amazing and I was so excited to get an ARC of this so I could read them!

This is an incredible omnibus!
Book one
I was so so excited to go back to this incredible world and it did not let me down. I absolutely love Davin who of course we have already met in previous books and he is such a great character. Goofy and charming, intelligent but also frustrating oh and did I mention totally swoon worthy! Galina Is relatable with her suffering from anxieties and fears and she has had it tough. The storyline is enthralling and emotional and it was great to see some old friends again and I very much enjoyed this and look forward to the next book.
Book two
This duology has been epic. The authors hooked us with book one and with this second book they bought us to our knees! With incredible world building we find ourselves back with Davin and Galina and their awesome conclusion. It’s been a hard journey, sad, intense and high and lows and emotional but it has been worth it to get the ending worthy of this couple. Exciting, enthralling, full of action, drama and danger, I love visiting this world and enjoyed seeing some old friends as well as making new ones.

I already loved stories from the world of Lochlann from Robin D. Mahle and Elle Madison, and this complete series release of The Lochlann Deception seriously elevated the whole reading experience for me. The authors knocked it out of the park with their bonus content (including artwork) in this combined edition of Hollow Court and Fragile Oath, which is Davin and Galina's story.

Mahle and Madison write the characters in this series with such care and depth. I really shouldn't be surprised at this point how well they bring characters to life. They have me rooting for each character every time without fail. The bonus content introduces flashbacks and additional moments that Davin and Galina shared together. That means more banter, more slow burn, more shared secrets and dreams. All the good stuff.

Even if you have read Hollow Court and Fragile Oath separately, don't let this combined series pass you by. And if you haven't read either -- you are in for a treat! Davin and Galina's road to romance is altogether swoon-worthy, complex, and heartwarming.

I received an ARC for this new omnibus release.
This review of the bonus chapters ONLY for this omnibus release. I have separate reviews of Hollow Court and Fragile Oath. I LOVE LOVE LOVE The Lochlann Deception and highly recommend it.

Hollow Court Bonus Scenes:

I liked the bonus content of Galina and Davin hanging out together. There are some chapters about Theodore as well. It was nice to see some content during their initial few months together!

Fragile Oath Bonus Scenes:

I loved them all!!

The adorable HEA epilogue was delightful!

I actually mainly enjoyed the Gwyn and Gallagher POV chapters. Some major stuff happened to them in Fragile Oath off page, so I liked seeing their POV and reaction to those events. I highly recommend reading these chapters!!

This is the sound of absolute enjoyment in a story so well told.. it will make you question why you waited so long to read it!

The Lochlann Deception is an omnibus and what an incredible fun, hilarious and witty ride it was. We have our characters Davin and Galina with some new and some older favorites reintroduced. Y'all I can't get over the banter and internal dialogue these characters carry. It is A++ outstanding. I giggled at the brilliance of the wit, and sobbed at the emotional cost. I thought Rowan was my favorite, but I don't know.. Davin is definitely fighting for top spot.

Have you ever read a book and when you are done.. you feel as if you were just a spectator in a live production that was knocks the wind out of you good? I was physically tired.. and emotionally spent, and oddly energized.. this story.. this gorgeous story absolutely sells it in the best possible way. The plot is never lacking, the story itself is so smooth it is flawless, the world building is not too much, but enough to keep you intrigued and keyed in.

This my book friends is what you call perfection.. and the cover is stunning to boot. Please read this..

Second Chances 🤍

“The truth is…writing that letter was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. Leaving Socair, being taken by Alexei - storms, even marrying him…not one of those things compared to hurling lies your way designed to hurt you.” 💔

This was a great duology! It was fast paced and I did NOT see who the rebel leader was at all! I’m not usually a huge fan of second chance romance but Robin and Elle did a good job with it. There were times that it was annoying how easily Davina and Galina gave up on each other or how they allowed the misunderstandings to get in the way of things. But they were adorable in the small moments they showed they cared for each other. All and all it was a good duology that I enjoyed!

Things to expect inside:
👫 Dual POV
💖 Second chance romance
💘 Fake bethoral
🖤 Enemies to friends to lovers to enemies to…?
🖤 Dutiful FMC
🖤 Playboy royal MMC
🔪 Murder mystery
🧗🏻‍♀️ Cliffhanger
🎭 Court intrigue

The Lochlann Deception complete series includes both books, Hollow Court and Fragile Oath, plus gorgeous artwork and epic bonus chapters! Get ready to have your heart ripped out in the best way! Davin and Galina's second-chance romance surprised me and I fell in love with their story. The heartbreak and stubbornness on both sides, the danger and political intrigue, the sibling banter and found family feels, and all the healing and swooning... The Lochlann Deception is the 3rd series in this lineup and easily one of my favorites in terms of character development and bonus chapters. If you have followed the Pendragon family from Lochlann Treaty, then you will appreciate how this one ties up so many loose ends and still leaves room for plenty of additional stories to follow. Plus... did I mention the stunning artwork AND bonus chapters???!!!! OH MY GOODNESS!!! Do yourself a favor and grab a copy.

I love how, when Robin and Elle finish a series, they've never truly finished until they give us a gorgeous hardback crammed with bonus scenes. Honestly, it's why we love them so much.

If you have read Davin and Galina's story and want to find out what happened after the final page, or what our favourite flame haired princess really thought of their plan, this is your chance to find out.

Jump straight back into Lochlann and let a handful of extra chapters rip your heart out, throw it around a bit and then heal it all over again. With scenes from the POV of Gwyn, Jocelyn, Gal and Rowan as well as our favourite rake Davin, this is the perfect end to a perfect duology.

And if you haven't read Davin and Galina's story...what are you doing?! Go pick up this swoonworthy romantasy epic right this second!

It's not secret that I'm a big fan of Elle & Robin, and all they create together. So it's no surprise that this was everything I had expected and more.

This series gives us so much to love. We get romance, betrayal, deception, murder, heartbreak, and an identify reveal no one was expecting.
I was always excited to get Davin's story ever since we met him in The Lochlann Feuds series. He's such a fun loving, hilarious character, who is way too confident for his own good. The way Galina and Davin bounce off each other just makes this series so worth the read.
There’s so much of this world and characters left to explore. I hope to see more of this family in future series!

I would highly recommend reading the Lochlann Treaty & Lochlann Feuds series before this one, as there may be slight spoilers, but so so so worth the read!

I read and loved Hollow Court and Fragile Oath, closer to the beginning of this month, and you can read my full reviews on the individual books. This will just be for the bonus content.

I was excited when I found out this was coming out because I loved Davin and Galina and couldn’t wait to read more about them. There are many bonus chapters from a variety of the characters in this duet and it will take you on an emotional roller coaster ride. All good I promise. The extras provided more flashbacks, insight into the characters and story and I thoroughly enjoyed it all.

This duet was my first in the Lochlann world and it was so good along with the bonus chapters that I know it won’t be long before I dive into the other books.
