Perfect Mix is book two in the Vice Club Nights series. A full length steamy standalone romance with an arrogant Italian CEO and a feisty, Australian heroine. Guaranteed HEA and no cheating. Adults only.
I gotta say that prologue got me. And I love when they suck me in and make me wonder what happens in the book. As usual I was not disappointed.
Gio and Tori were simply adorable. I just loved them. From their meet cute to how they were with each other. I loved how they just seemed like the perfect match and a perfect balance each needed in their lives.
Tori was on an adventure to have some life experience outside of her home country of Australia. Her first time away from family and her twin sister but she wanted to see the world before starting her future career. I don’t think she expected to find Gio on this adventure.
Now speaking of Gio, I loved that he for sure was not looking for a relationship or a woman to come into his life when business, family business was beyond stressful as it was. But you can’t help it when fate comes out and points you to the one you didn’t know you needed.
Throw in a little bit of suspense and awesome banter and this book was just amazing! I cannot wait to read more of this series! . . . 4️⃣.7️⃣5️⃣⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️ 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻 9/10 recommendation
I absolutely adore this series and this book is no exception. Seeing Italy through Tori’s eyes and experiences was so very touching. Loved the journal aspect, a brilliant touch that really adds to the storyline. The meticulous details in describing the setting really had me falling into the locations, I could easily imagine myself sitting there in Capri at the little pizzeria and that room in the Vice Club was perfection. The twists and suspense had me on the edge of my chair, loved seeing how they all worked together. The family elements whether blood or other was heart warming. Gio’s brothers 🥵 - could there be a possible book spin off here? As I need to know what the outcome of that audit and what happens with the company. The steamy scenes were exquisitely detailed and spicy, add in the romance and obsession leaves you breathless. I can’t help but admire this author, this book was so beautifully written, I’m definitely going to add this to my fav book list. I can’t wait to read the masquerade novella, such a brilliant idea.
Absolutely loved the second book in the Vice Club series!
Gio is an Italian American billionaire who is working in Italy during the summer for the family business run by controlling father. During a chance meeting Gio meets Tori. Tori is Charli’s twin sister from Perfect Mix in the Vice Club series. Tori is spending the time in Europe to get over the death of her best friend. The chemistry between them is immediate. Absolutely loved the banter between Gio and Tori. The book takes you on wonderful adventures in Italy and France ending..
Would definitely recommend!

I really enjoyed this book, loved getting back into the world of Vice club nights series. Gio and Tori start out as a holiday fling, well Tori is on holiday in Florence and Gio is there with work. The Italian/American sweeps her off her feet but can it last when he’s back in NY? Their chemistry was great with good banter too. Looking forward to book 3 now!
Gio and Tori were just amazing! There was just so much that happened for these characters though, all the twists and the journey was incredible! I loved reading throughout the end waiting for them to get their HEA!
I love every book by Cate Lane that I’ve read and this is no exception! If you love billionaire romances then this is for you!
It all began in Italy. From the moment they laid eyes on each other they couldn't resist the pull. What was suppose to be a vacation Fling didn't stay that way.
Second book to the Vice Club Series. Another secret partner to an exclusive sex club. I wasn't sure on Gio in Perfect Mix, he came across as a rich spoilt child to me but I definitely take that back. He has won my heart 100%. His love for Tori can be seen building throughout, getting strong with each passing moment & it definitely isn't one sided. Tori fights to resist her feelings but the call is to much for her. They fall deep without any turning back.
Another fabulous read from Cate. I loved book one in the series, so I couldn't wait to read Perfect Match.
Gio, the sexy handsome Italian American, has the weight of running the family business and keeping his father in check. He sets eyes on Tori across a crowded restaurant and just needs to meet her, and when he does, he just wants to spend more time with her.
Tori is the twin sister to Charli from book 1. She is travelling the world after the heartbreak of losing one of her best friends. Exploring and being fiercely independent. When she meets Gio, the spark is there from the start. They have a night to remember and agree to meet in the next stop in her travels they talk and continue to get to know each other, but Gio's dad drops a bomb shell and Gio's life is turned upside down and we go on the rollercoaster of him trying to find his way back to Tori.
It was an enjoyable read with lots of spice mixed in. I got engrossed in the characters and wouldn't put it down.
As ever Cate has written another fabulous book , perfect match has us meet one of the silent partners of the vice club Giovanni and Charlie twin sister tori.
Gio and tori meet in Napoli, Gio out there on business Tori is travelling with friends around Europe when they’re both in a small Italian restaurant there eyes meet and I knew we were in for a treat.
Gio and tori story is a balanced out with a great story laughter sassiness a man that falls hard for his first time and spice 🥵
I am so glad to see that Sadie get her book and we are in for a new series following Gio other brothers
Perfect Match is a delicious blend of so many elements. Exotic European settings, family connections, and interesting characters that have passion and true emotions for each other. It all makes for a book that has a unique feel that is different from my usual reading choice.
Using the prologue as a teaser for a later event was brilliant. Starting off with tension made me want to know how they got to that point. There are a lot of things happening in this story: relationships (romantic, friendship, and family), traveling, and business. Cate Lane manages to balance it all and include some interesting twists as well. The settings and details made this story feel like a European vacation. The scents, tastes, and emotions are beautifully described through the words.
Gio is not at all what I expected. He works hard to make his role as boss at the family business a success. He likes to play but isn’t a player. It doesn’t take long for him to recognize that Tori is something special.
Tori wasn’t expecting a vacation romance. She can be a tease but is honest about what she offers. Including entries from her travel journal was a great idea because it was a way to summarize events and add details through her eyes.
Perfect Match can be a standalone, but I would recommend reading book 1 first. The two books are a crossover in the timeline, which wasn’t apparent to me until I read the blurb for book 1. I'll definitely read Perfect Mix, book 1.
Perfect Match is book 2 in the Vice Club Nights Series by Cate Lane and is Tori and Gio’s story of adventure with plenty of heat.
Tori is travelling through Europe where a sexy Italian, Gio, catches her eye while she is in Naples. She soon discovers that Gio is an American Italian and a successful CEO who lives and works between Florence and Manhattan, where her twin sister just happens to be living now. He’s also a silent partner in the hip new sex club, The Vice Club.
Their connection is magnetic from the get go and while they think this may be a summer vacay fling, their chemistry and sexual tension begs to differ that this could be something more.
With a few twists and turns from a controlling father with an arranged marriage contract, loss of a past lover and an abduction, this book will keep you engaged all the way through.
This story has a timeline crossover from book 1 so I would recommend reading that first to understand the full picture. Plus the epilogue in book 1 will set you up for wanting to dive right into this amazing story of book 2.
Cate perfect timing to receive this Arc. My daughter is currently travelling overseas and was actually in Italy as I was reading this perfect romance. It felt like I was there with her as I was reading all the spectacular places they visited. It was wonderful seeing Italy through the eyes of these two. The twists, turns, the suspense had me on the edge of my seat. Sexy, spicy scenes that rocked my world. Cate I adore you and love your writing. I feel extra special that I know you personally after meeting you in February this year and I can't wait for more amazing stories from your world.
1* to me means that I didn't like the story. After a few chapters, I skimmed the rest of the book. The story never came together for me. Too much narration, too many journal pages to read. Everything felt 'phoned in', no real depth. Tori breaking up with him, even after he tried to tell her the engagement was and give him time to deal with it, was silly. I read and enjoyed #1 in the series which is about Tori's twin sister, Charli, getting a job at the Vice Club and finding love with Ryan. It made me pause to read in #2 that Tori mentions her sister needing to find a new job and Gio mentioning that his friend, Ryan at the Vice Club, is looking for a new mixologist. Huh?
I want to go to Italy. I loved how Tori’s point of view was so detailed made me feel like I was there. I am also a person who journals so having this in the book was so much fun. I enjoyed getting to read these journal entries as part of her journey. The story was full of suspense and some very delicious spicy scenes. Tori and Gio had great chemistry I am enjoying this series. I smile every-time I get an arc from Cate.
I struggled through the first half of the book, a lot of business concern chat that never really amounts to anything. The story stuttered and struggled when they werent together and then turned itself around, when back in NYC. The second half felt rushed and disjointed from the earlier chapters, I finished it, but there was little satisfaction in that.
I’d probably give this book a 3.5. It was good but not nearly as good as the first in the series. It had to fight to keep my attention at times. That being said, Tori and Gio were good characters. I just really disliked how easily she forgave him though.
This was also pretty good. I’d say a bit longer than it should have been. The family drama was there but not concluded well. I’m not sure if there is more to come, or not. It felt like unfinished business.
I absolutely loved this book by Cate! This is book two and I was excited to read it and I certainly wasn’t disappointed. Tori is a delightful and Gio was perfect for her despite a daddy’s boy! This book was well written and just so enjoyable. I look forward to reading more from Cate!
The story of Gio and Tori is just as good as the first book surrounding Ryan and Charli. The characters have sass and a smoking hot chemistry. The storyline is just as good and it made for an enjoyable read. Definitely wanting to read more by this author.
This was my first book by Cate, and I really enjoyed it. Well written, the sites in Italy were marvellous and spot on. I also liked the dynamic between the characters.
