Would you make a deal to dominate the werewolf at full moon?
Maurice is a lone wolf. Rejected, half-feral at full moon. Unable to control himself when he goes into heat.
That's not what scares me.
Even as a beast, he's a very good boy. All that need gets channeled into pleasing me. You see, we've met one night a year ago when I ran from the way he looked at me as if I was his whole world. As if he was mine.
He can't be mine. Because if he was, he'd be in danger too.
When he begs me to see him through just one more full moon, my heart gets the better of me and I give in. Snowed in at his cabin in the woods, I'm finding out just how hard it is to resist his relentless optimism, his goofy charm and his huge knot.

Reece may be a lone wolf with a tough exterior, but when he meets Caitlyn, a witch on the run with a heart full of secrets, he’s a goner. And let me tell you, this big, growly man falls HARD. He’s used to handling everything alone, especially his intense heats but one command from Caitlyn and he’s putty in her hands.
But of course, it’s not that simple. Caitlyn can’t stay. She’s being hunted and getting attached means putting everyone she loves in danger. So she does the only thing she can: she loves him and leaves him.
But fate brings them back together and Reece isn’t letting her go this time. He fights for her, to protect her, to keep her, to show her she’s worth staying for. And Caitlyn? She’s fierce, independent and totally capable of saving herself… but having Reece in her corner? That just makes everything better.
Their chemistry is OFF THE CHARTS. And I loved the full moon scenes, they were so steamy. Also the way Reece balances being a protective alpha with respecting her strength, makes you swoon.

The mmc reminded me of the wolf from the tenth kingdom (if you know, you know). This was my second fave so far out of the bunch—Maybe tied for first with the gargoyle one.
A submissive werewolf and a witch domme… holy heck this was HOT HOT HOT. Gotta take a pregnancy test after that one. Whewwww. Reece and Caitlyn omggg. What a couple. Just the right amount of angst and drama and allll the heat. Pegging, domme/sub, toy play, bondage. Reece is such a golden retriever good boy. I love himmmm. Another amazing story by Ami!
Oh my GOODNESS!!! This was such a furry, smutty delight!! I’m all for some werewolf monster romance and this had literally ALL my favourite tropes…I honestly don’t think it can get much better!
The characters were wonderful! I particularly found Maurice the biggest golden retriever of an MMC (like such a tail wagging good boy who just wants to please his mate) and Caitlyn was a FMC with flaws that made you love her all the more. The side characters were really sweet as well (and really makes me want to read the other books in the ‘Monstrous Deals’ series to learn more about them! And Wright’s writing has quickly made me add them all to my TBR)
Now, I can’t write this review without mentioning the SPICE—because…there was a LOT of it and every single bit of it was just PERFECTION! I honestly loved every word of all the scenes—from the first heat-driven encounter, to the domination/power play, to the pegging (THERE IS PEGGING GUYS!! AND MY GOD WAS IT HOT!!), and, of course, the loving/mating scene too! There was also some good ol’ fashioned knotting, which, who DOESN’T love that?!
This book was fairly light on trigger/content warnings (as it drifted more into the “smut is the plot”) but there are a few that I will mention below—most of them relate to the spice.
━━ † ━━
⚔️TRIGGER LIST⚔️
— Explicit sexual content — Dom/sub dynamics — Sex work/escort — Shifted sex (sex in his beast form) — Death of a parent (past) — Murder of a parent (past, mentioned) — Knotting — Restraints (chains) — Pegging

‘Worshipped by the Werewolf’ was, honestly, one of the best spice-orientated werewolf monster romances I’ve read recently! It’s filled with all the tropes like; knotting, spicy times in his shifted form, fated mates, Dom/sub dynamics, mating bites & PEGGING! It was steamy, funny, actually surprising wholesome and also a shorter read to indulge and enjoy in one sitting. If you enjoy werewolves, golden retriever MMC’s and a Femme Dom FMC who loves him, then I can’t recommend this book highly enough! 5/5 stars!!!
Mmm, I really liked Maurice/Reese (he was such a sweetheart/golden retriever), but Katelyn really annoyed me. She was just so flighty and was kinda self absorbed when it came to their relationship 🙄.
There comes a dark time in every girl’s life… When the world loses color. Days blurred together. No spark. No magic. No escape. This phenomenon is also known as a reading slump. A cruel, silent killer of joy 😔🥀
But just when all hope seemed lost, I found my antidote! A werewolf romance, uncovered in the dark corners of Kindle Unlimited. I was ready.
Chapter one began… and so did my rebirth🪽
This man took "Drop to your knees and bark like you want it" quite literally. Goshhhhhh, he was so cute. And she really walked him like a dog fr.
This was so much fun to read 😭💅 My poor, innocent tbr won’t see me for weeeeeks. I’ve found my niche, and it’s weird little submissive monster men on Kindle Unlimited.
Reece was destined to be my favorite. I have adored every time he's been in the other books. He knows his girl is a runner, that she's scared and hurt, and he meets her where she's at. He shows up. A perfect good boy.
Quick, light and fluffy read. I thought it was pretty good but it was all very surface. If it was a bit longer and more developed, I feel this could have been an easy 4 stars. Still pretty cute, just wish that had been more too it
»You're the best fucking thing that ever happened to me. Hands down, the best. I'll keep telling you until you believe it.«

❥ 𝑪𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒍𝒚𝒏 She was very confident but I had my problems with her character though.
❥ 𝑴𝒂𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒆 A big puppy - literally. He is such a cutie.
✥ 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒐𝒐𝒌 This was an entertaining okay read in this series. I had my problems with the female dom thing but it was well done. It‘s just nothing I like normally. Caitlyn and Maurice are sweet together and I liked them as a couple. Maurice is such a good little werewolf, he was absolutely lost. Overall an okay monster romance read.
𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐈 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤? Yes, especially if you enjoyed the previous books.
Did I skip the unicorn book that came before this because I could not physically look at the cover? Yeah. Anyways….this was ridiculous and fun and very difficult to read in the middle seat on a plane I had my brightness turned all the way down😅
Cute read. It was my first FMC dom read. The story was good and straight to the point. Not a lot was mentioned about their past life which for a palette cleaner read is fine with me. Over all 4 stars. Few grammar maybe print errors but nothing too crazy.
4.25⭐️ Yay! Maurice! I’ve been waiting for his story since he first showed up with a tee shirt that said “call me a good boy”. Katelyn is definitely one of my favorite female mc’s in this series. She’s a bad ass. And there was PLOT! Not a shit ton of it but a lot comparatively.
Caitlyn the witch is running from someone. Maurice (Reece) runs into her during his heat. She Dommes him to stave off his heat/rut. Then she runs away. Then they meet up a year later, cabin in the woods manenos. The bad guy finds her. They end up saving each other.
The highlight of this book is Reece being a good boy. At times, Caitlyn annoyed me as she was keeping up her I-Can-Do-It-On-My-Own persona, ending up hurting Reece. So I appreciated when she finally, openly told him sorry.
The smut was great. Them finally having a heart-to-heart was precious. Loved Reece's golden retriever energy.
If you love shifters, sub/dom, third act break up, praise, transition s3x, special peen and fated mates then this is for you! I’ve waited long for Maurice to get his book and I was not disappointed.
A very short, quick read that delivers exactly what's on the cover. Mmc is a werewolf having trouble controlling his shapeshifting (something about being turned by biting rather than born one), fmc is a witch in trouble and on the run, but apparently very good at teaching the old dog some new tricks. It's barely over 100 pages, so it's more smut-with-plot (someone's after the fmc and that troubles her greatly) than a full fledged novel. For what it is, you get what you expect: fated mates, scent tracking, knotting, marking, all the usual werewolf goodies but also fmc who doesn't hesitate to order mmc around, delay his orgasm, or use sex toys (strap on, vibrator).
The only downside is that due to length, the characters turned out to be very one-note. Fmc is stubborn and paranoid, mmc is a werewolf with golden retriever energy "never gonna give you up" vibe. Personally, I think I prefer femdom when the mmc is willing and enjoying it rather than having to be "broken" into submission. So the ice queen / golden retriever pairings tend to work for me well, when he melts her through sheer adoration, devotion and happy enthusiasm.
I haven't read the previous books in the series, so I can't fully appreciate the cameo appearances because I haven't acquainted myself with them, but we have appearance of William the Gargoyle from "Given to the Gargoyle" and Jessie from the same one, and Sofia who's the boss of the club and iirc doesn't have her own book (yet?).
It's kinda hilarious how I stumbled upon this book, I think I saw a post on reddit about some big aggregate free book promo on smashwords or bookfunnel or one of these websites, maybe it was for Valentines? Can't remember. Was browsing freebies and so many of them just had unprofessionally looking, ugly covers. I picked a few that looked decent, including Ami Wright's Kraken book, really nice covers I must admit. Picking the freebies required signing for the newsletter so I saw this book upcoming there and I knew I wanna read it.
So lesson of the day: - free promos are good as long as people learn about them - don't have crappy covers - do have covers that tell the reader "this is exactly what you want" esp. if it's an uncommon pairing or trope (I'm on the hunt for fantasy / paranormal femdom tbh) - have useful newsletters (but for the love of monster smut, don't be like that other author doing bazillion newsletter swaps and flooding my inbox, shame & unsub - Ami's cool though)
I like how the titles and covers basically tell you what kind of monster + kink to expect. Definitely putting "Mastering the Minotaur" on my TBR for when I need a palate cleanser from reading long or serious books again.
Gleeful Goblin Review: I LOVE this book. It turns the alpha male werewolf trope on its ear right away and I could not be more thrilled just like our MMC. "My tongue lolls from my lips as I bound around a corner and my vision narrows on a woman on the street ahead. She wears all black. The tight dress hugs a slender yet curvy figure. Long sleeves of pretty tattoos cover each arm. Thigh high black heeled boots give her walk a strut and shakes her áss in a way that mesmerizes me. God that áss! I need to sink my fangs into it. She’s walking away from me. I can’t see her face. All I can see is long black hair cascading over her shoulders, trailing down her back. It makes my claws itch to grab it. A low growl rumbles through my chest. Mine! I hardly notice the other people in my way. They quickly get out of it anyway. Not stupid enough to think twice about messing with a werewolf in heat. My paws carry me to her in a few short bounds. She doesn’t even turn. Doesn’t flinch. I rear onto my hind legs. I part my jaws ready to bíte the succulent flesh of her bare shoulder. Claws reach to grab her. “Don’t.” Her cool voice cuts through the heat and freezes me in my tracks. My ears prick up. My tail does, too. Her scent already has my cöck at half-mast and all my nerves on fire. She turns and I drop to my haunches in front of her. Lush red lips purse in disapproval. Black-lined eyes bore into mine and her nose ring glints in the streetlights. “Don’t even think about biting me.” I growl. My fur fluffs. I couldn’t look away from her steely blue gaze if I tried. She lifts a brow. “You wouldn’t dare.” I huff. How does she know? I’ve stalked her through the darkness like a beast, but she might as well have read my soul like a book. “Heel.” With that, she spins and gives me her back. She walks away! Not runs, walks. Struts! I follow like she’s leashed me. On my paws, I bound after her long strides, lifting my nose to draw her scent in deeper. God, she is alpha. Fools might try to tell you that all wolves need an alpha male. Those fools never met a woman like this one." Yeah, I'd be panting after her and heeling too. And Reece is The Very Goodest Boy, especially for his Dömme. Even outside of the bedroom these two have sizzling chemistry and a playful but snarky back and forth you can't help but adore. Do yourself a favor and pick up this book IMMEDIATELY. 5/5 Stars
🔥 “You’re such a good boy for me, aren’t you?” ~~~ It’s time for our favorite werewolf bartender to get his mate!
I’ve loved Maurice since he first appeared in the series! He’s so fun, easy-going, friendly and irresistibly charming. Even more, he’s alway there to help anyone in need or to just listen. For a huge and fearsome werewolf, he gives off so much golden retriever energy! Maurice is such a wonderful male and I couldn’t help but adore every single thing about him!
Caitlyn is a sassy and sexy witch, who’s on the run from her powerful and dangerous step-father. And she doesn’t let people get close to her. But I really loved her confidence, fierceness and bossiness. Even more, I loved how caring and protective she was of the people she cares about, even though she was refusing to admit it. Caitlyn is awesome and I loved her so, so much!
I absolutely loved everything that happened between Maurice and Caitlyn! After a passionate night a year ago, Caitlyn disappears. But now she’s back in Heartstone and Maurice is going to get her back. I loved those two together! I loved their banters and teasings, and their chemistry was off-the-charts. And I loved how protective they were of one another. Even more, I loved Maurice’s determination to win his mate by any means necessary but at the same time respecting Caitlyn’s choices and desires. And despite building high walls around her heart, Caitlyn just couldn’t resist the handsome and charming werewolf. Because, he’s such a good, good boy and everything she could possibly need. So, an arrangement to help him get through his next heat, very quickly turns into something more. And when those two couldn’t resist the undeniable need for one another, the passionate moments they shared were scorching hot and I couldn’t get enough of all the naughty delight. Maurice and Caitlyn were so perfect for each other and more than deserved to find happiness and love together!
Overall, the story is a fun and very, very naughty read and I absolutely loved every page of it!
Our boy Maurice, the werewolf bartender who's always quick to jump in and help others when they need it, is up and HOO-BOY his lady is in a bit of a pickle. For all Reece is a wolf who needs a firm hand, he's also willing to fight for the woman who matches him. And he does need to fight for her.
I'm talking both to get her to see him again AND fight to keep her safe. I mean, technically, she fought for herself, but Reece was 100% in her corner when needed.
Anywho. As a lone wolf, Reece has it tough. He has no pack to help him understand his wolf and his heats are almost more than he can handle. Caitlyn managed to calm him with a few commands and the big guy is SMITTEN. Unfortunately, Caitlyn is a witch on the run and she can't afford to stick anywhere long. So she loved him and left him and Reece has been looking for her ever since. Imagine his delight when she popped up on the MD app and he had a second chance with her.
On Caitlyn's end, she can't get attached or she puts the people around her in danger. She might have swung back into town on the off-chance she might run into a certain good boy who rocked her world, but she can't stay. Somehow, he convinces her to see him through a full moon and BOY does she like all the things they do together. If only the danger stalking her could be dealt with, amirite?!?!
A little danger, some bonding in an isolated cabin, some not-so-fun trauma, a wolf who knows his mate when he meets her, and a witch who finds a reason to stand her ground. *thumbs up*
Reece is a sunshine good boy werewolf who finds his fated mate in a witch domme who makes all his wildest dreams come true in one night while he's suffering from his heat due to the full moon.. that is until he wakes up the next day and she's vanished without a trace.
Caitlyn is running from the ghosts of her past and holds secrets she can't spill, even if her heart wants to take a chance on the wolf she left behind.
a year later, and a second chance, Cait agrees to help Reece through his heat one last time before she leaves again, but with feelings and tension mounting, will she be able to walk away at the end of their 3 days?
Loved Reece and his golden retriever good boy submissive bby vibes. A total sweetheart I adored him. I loved Caitlyn and her no-nonse toughness that she had to have due to all the trauma she went through. I loved how they fit together and how eager he was to please her, even when she was still trying to hold herself at arms length and not let herself get attached.
All in all this was one of the better of the books in the series for me. I have felt really up and down about the series as some of them are absolutely great, and others are littered with grammar issues, plot and chapter inconsistencies, and other issues. This one I only found one "mistake" where something was quoted incorrectly. I am a devil for details so I noticed so many tiny things that really mess with the story for me.
A monster romance filled with werewolf, witch, cabin in the wilds, and heat. A smutty mating. Caitlyn, running from her past signs up with Monstrous Deals not realising the wolf she left behind a year ago, is Monstrous Deals' favourite cinnamon roll bartender, Maurice. Reece has been half the beast/man after the best night of his life where his mate walked out. A heat weekend turns in denying feelings and running. The past catches up, and drama ensues, friendships are built, and happily ever afters are in reach. It's a heavy on spicy with some good plots. I do enjoy these smutty monster reads, and Maurice is a fan favourite, and reading his story is just swoonworthy.
Tropes: Mating. Femdom. Pegging. Beast smexy. Smut is the plot. Werewolf. Witches. Gargoyle. Warlock. Escort.
Quote: “Oh, my good boy. What did you do?” I grin. “Did I please you?”“Mmm. How clever of you to give me your knot like that.” I can’t help it. I lower my head until my lips graze hers. “For my mate, I’d do anything.”
“Bed, I said. Now be a good boy.” “You’re too good for me, but I promise I’ll do my best to cherish you, because you’re worth cherishing. As long as you promise to follow if I ever try to leave again.” “My goddess. My queen. My f---ing everything.” “My good boy. Are you going to do it?” “Do what?” “Bite me.”
Caitlyn, the female human witch lead, and Reece, the male werewolf lead, had a one night stand a year ago, when Reece’s uncontrolled full-moon heat led him to Caitlyn. But Caitlyn knew it wasn’t safe for her to stay and left.
A year later, Caitlyn has returned to town and taken a job with Reece’s employer. Desperate to speak with her, he books her for his heat. But it’s still not safe for Caitlyn and she’s sure Reece’s deserves a better mate than her…
This story is an expansion of a previously published short story, which didn’t feel complete. This extended version has a fulfilling and complete storyline, with developed characters, and significant intimate engagements that meaningfully further the relationship. I enjoyed Reece’s genuine devotion to Caitlyn and his willingness to prove it to her however she needed. I sympathised with Caitlyn’s concerns and enjoyed seeing her learn to trust Reece and his motivations and emotions. I enjoyed their mutual bedroom preferences - female in control is my preferred dynamic - and found the intimate scenes erotic. I enjoyed the non-romance plot and the integrated secondary characters from previous stories. I also loved the expansion of the Monstrous Deals business and the potential for alternative directions for the series.
I’m so confused. This book says it came out April of this year. I feel like I haven’t read it before but as soon as it got to the necklace part where she lost it and he went out to retrieve it, it was like Deja vu… and how the necklace protects her from someone finding her. I swear I’ve read a book just like this but cannot think of what it was. So either I’m crazy or this plot has already been done. I feel like in the book I read the person searching for her finds her and the man has to save her. I’m not finished with this book. I’m on 56% but I wanted to write my thoughts down because I feel like this has already been written about.
Okay so now that I’ve finished reading it I feel like I remember reading something exactly like this. I don’t think this is the second time reading this book? I’m not sure. I will say there was an inconsistency I noticed. When she came back from being gone for a year he noticed she took out her nipple rings when he was with her again. Well at the end she magically had them in again? So I’m not sure if that was a mistake or not. Overall I enjoyed this story. I love me a submissive man. I wish they did more pegging than just that one time.
I think Ami just had magic powers. How? How did you make me so invested in about 130 pages!
First, I have read this whole series and absolutely love how you see characters from other books making appearances that's so heartwarming.
Now on to the FMC Caitlyn, this is the first Monstrous Deals book where the FMC wasn't human, and I have to say I love that, and come on a domme too! She takes control and knows exactly what she wants.
Maurice, the golden retriever werewolf you have seen through all these books, finally has his HAE. He knows what he wants and goes for it.
The spice I'm just at a complete loss for words with this. Knots! Partially shifted werewolf 🔥🔥 She got everything she asked for. Who wouldn't want a submissive werewolf 😏
“You’re too good for me, but I promise I’ll do my best to cherish you, because you’re worth cherishing. As long as you promise to follow if I ever try to leave again.”😭
Um..so a new spin-off, maybe? With match making and Sofia finding her happiness.
