London Coleman is a Treasury Agent whose job it is to tackle the financially corrupt, a job she loves and is passionate about, but unfortunately, due to her own experience with rich men (aka Daddy issues), she's massively biassed and goes after the wrong man, Kavner Fury. Unable to see how her prejudice is affecting her ability to do her job, she doesn't realise when her obsession with Kavner moves from being one that wants to prove he's corrupt to one that just wants him. She's even more shocked when she realises just how wrong she has been about who the good and bad guys are.
Kavner is a great character; despite everything that London is accusing him of, he's patient and calm with her and willing to show her he's not a bad guy. He recognises the hurt inside her and knows her actions and words aren't done through malice; he has his own past trauma and has worked hard to get where he is now, and by letting his vulnerabilities show, London lets her walls down too, making Kavner her safe place, something she's never had before. Kavner is extremely sweet, crazy possessive, but also so protective, and I loved that about him. He gave off real gooey cinnamon roll vibes, and despite being filthy rich, he was humble with it too, making it easy to see why he was so likeable.
Amongst the romance and passion, there were elements of danger as London's job catches up with her and she's put at risk several times; luckily, Kav is there to save the day, but it also gives a chance to explore the family dynamic between the Fury brothers as they step in to help too, showcasing their skills and the extent they will go to for one of their own, and she might not know it at the time, but London has been claimed; she's a part of the family now.
