Love. Fame. Power. Fear.On the set of America’s hottest reality television dating show, there’s no shortage of secrets to be kept and axes to grind.
And when tragedy strikes during the season premiere, the evidence might not be as circumstantial as the police report would make you believe.
Where there’s secrecy, there’s motivation—and no one is squeaky clean. There’s Hannah, the newbie production assistant with a furtive past; Patrick, the wholesome boy-next-door lead; Whitney, the workaholic producer desperate to be next in line; and Tammy, the aging assistant to the network boss who controls them all.
A fast-paced thriller pieced together in four perspectives, Heaven’s Match pulls back the curtain on a cultural phenomenon while posing the ever-unsettling question…Do you know when you’re inside the mind of a murderer?
Heaven's Match is a twisty whodunnit that takes place on the set of America's hottest reality TV dating show of the same name. Told from four perspectives, the reader never knows which person's perspective they can trust. Because someone winds up dead, and more than one of them have a motive.
Aside from that shocking ending, what struck me most about this debut indie thrilller is the exceptional writing. 👏🏼 As a reluctant indie reader, the writing *has to be* strong, or I'm pulled out of the story. Thankfully, Ponessa's skillful execution placed me right into the lives of these carefully-crafted characters! Heaven's Match is well-written, fast-paced, and filled with all that tantalizing tension that keeps the pages turning. At only 237 pages, I flew through this book! Well done!👏🏼
Hi, it's me. The lady that LOVES thrillers centered around reality TV shows. I inhaled Heaven's Match by Caroline Ponessa! This was a lot different than other thrillers with a similar storyline. This book not only includes the cast, but a great majority follows the production team as well - making it a lot more fun when you have a bigger list of suspects. If you liked The Last One by Will Dean or Everyone is Watching by Heather Gudenkauf, you will love this one!
Heaven’s Match was a fun reality TV based thriller. It was fast paced and highly addictive. This was the author's debut and it was truly well done. She took an entirely different route to similar thrillers of this style, and I was here for it. Told from multiple narrators POV made for such an engrossing ride.
The characters were all truly untrustable, I had no idea who I could trust and truly I didn't trust any of them. They all held secrets upon secrets and told lie after lie. I was engrossed in their lives. It was fun to see the production team of the reality TV show as well as the cast, it added to the suspect list and amped up the suspense.
The author has a captivating writing style that will hook you from the start. Her storytelling skills are great. The final twist at the end will make your jaw drop to the floor. You will never guess that ending.

As a born and raised Minnesotan, I love books set in my home state. Even better when they’re written by an Indie MN Author.
Heaven’s Match was a well paced, reality TV inspired thriller with realistic characters, secrets upon secrets, and an ending I absolutely did not see coming. I will admit that I am not a fan of watching Bachelor/Bachelorette type shows, but Ponessa did not disappoint with her debut. I was thoroughly entertained, questioned everyone, and I repeat, that ending totally shocked me. Like jaw dropping 😮. Will be watching for more from this author.
What I Enjoyed; ✨ MN Ties ✨ Twisty Thriller ✨ Whodunnit Mystery ✨ Well Developed Characters ✨ Multiple POV
Thank you so much Caroline for sending me a copy of your debut. Also thank you to @nestledlitlife for putting this book and author on my radar.
We've all seen some sort of reality show. Heaven's Match is similar to The Bachelor. We get a look at the show from four perspectives; the man looking to make a match and three women who work for the show.
Hannah gets hired as a production assistant due to her uncle's job. When one of the women contestants dies, things are thrown into turmoil. Hannah has had a significant trauma in her life, and we wonder now how that's affecting her in her new job and if she had anything to do with the contestant's death.
We get to the last few chapters of the book and think, "That was a pretty good story." THEN, we read the final chapter, and WOW! It blows everything out of the water.
This is such a great book, and it's Caroline Ponessa's DEBUT! You should really read it!
Death meets reality dating show - say no more! I was hooked on this book from the start. A real page turner that I didn't want to put down and the satisfying twist ending had my jaw on the floor! The author incorporated really deep and complex storytelling from the point of view of various narrators that made for a fun puzzle to try to piece together. Think you have the puzzle solved? Guess again! I cannot recommend this book enough!
Great debut! The characters all felt so real and so much happened it kept me thinking about it even when I wasn't reading. Multiple POVs tied the story together. Full of the extravagant luxury and strong attitudes you'd expect from a reality TV dating saga, the end was definitely unexpected🌹
If you liked One of Us Is Dead by Jeneva Rose you'll like this one!
This book got me good. Each character was well developed, having their own hidden secrets that kept you thinking “who IS IT!?” Was not ready for this book to end and desperately wished for more chapters.
Dark and twisted, with clever humor and quips throughout- this book will grip you from the start! I read this book in one sitting, unable to tear myself away. The characters jump off the pages and provide the perfect cast for a who-dunit mystery. As an avid reader of thrillers who often predicts the big “twist” or reveal, here is one that truly had me shocked!
5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - can’t wait for Ponessa’s next book!
