Rate this book
Amidst loss, love, and longing, friends and sisters reunite in the seaside town of Mendocino Beach, where old flames reignite and new beginnings await.

After years of living far apart, Sara's world is turned upside down when her sister Emily faces the devastating loss of her husband, leaving her to navigate parenthood alone. Meanwhile, Hannah's book club continues to thrive, drawing authors and readers alike to the quaint seaside town. As the reunion unfolds, Hannah must finally deal with her undeniable feelings for Alex, the owner of the Beach Bookstore.

Beth, on the other hand, pours her heart and soul into renovating her beach house, transforming it into a sanctuary of serenity and renewal. Yet, beneath the surface, Beth struggles with insecurities and doubts about her ability to move forward in love and happiness.

This series started strong for me but didn’t end as good. I need some grit and meat, even in a feel-good novel like this. Glad to have all the storylines (perfectly) wrapped up and onto the next. Very light read tho and perfect for a palette cleanser!

Not her best

I almost ditched this after several chapters. It was so miserable and over the top drama. In fact most of the book was full of drama. The only ones without it were Beth and Mateo. It started off with a continuation of Andy being a jerk as usual, then went to Australia & Sarah’s sister who’s alcoholic husband had smashed his car and died, she has a daughter called Spike,(?) they come to Mendocino Beach. More drama with Andy, who racks up debt then disappears. Julian sorts out her divorce .Then Ivy gets a really controlling boyfriend. Then Alex goes off to see his ex wife & comes home with a 4 year old son. So then there’s upset etc with him & Hannah! Emily fits in and like other books seems to be one of them instantly! Julian being very wealthy, still in love with Sarah provides a super nice home for Emily & Spike , then all of a sudden, Alex &Hannah set a date & are really happy with his son Noah ( wife wanted to travel etc), and everything works out absolutely over the top wonderfully for everyone,. Even a new romance for Emily. Some editing mistakes but not many, but the author seems to be obsessed with eyes! Lots of unnecessary fill too. Seems a harsh review but had to be honest, just too unrealistic for me. I’m sure many will love it though.

Yet another amazing feel-good story in the Mendocino Beach series!
It’s finally Sara’s time to shine and reclaim her happiness—no more throwing pearls before a certain odious swine. Sara is confronted with the reality of her marriage and how it has even been impacting her children; she finds herself at a crossroads and gets rather a harsh push to help her decide what the right thing to do is. Her friends are there for her, of course, as is another amazing someone. Sara also gets a chance to reconnect with her sister and niece, which was quite the bonus, very heartwarming to read.
Hannah has an important storyline too in this book, and I loved how she stood up for herself when faced with yet another new challenge in her personal life. She’s such a lovely character! I also really liked how her big book event turned out. Every reader can relate to her nerves and giddy joy at meeting a favorite author!
As always with a Nellie Brooks book, the characters are wonderfully layered, very authentic and nuanced, facing both small and big challenges in their small-town lives and overcoming obstacles with the help of their friends and family. The way the women especially hold each other up and support each other in these stories is just so inspiring and beautiful. I love it!

I absolutely love following the lives of this special group of women. Mainly Sara and Julian’s story, the book updates us on the latest in everyone’s life. Sara is devastated when she learns the depth of her husband’s deception. Julian is right there to help her and pick up the pieces. Amazing story that showcases the strength and resilience of all the women. I couldn’t put it down until I finished it.
I received this book from the author and this is my voluntary, honest review.

The Mendocino Reunion

This book was great. All of the drama of Emily coming back to the States after her husband died to be with her sister Sara and fami!y. Sara finally getting away from her husband. The book author coming to town to read from his book. All of the adventures from all of the family members and the wedding coming. I am looking forward to reading Brooke's next book.

This is a great series that offers a fast read and is perfect for a quick genre change, if you've been reading some heavy stuff. The editing isn't perfect, and there are glaring typos that should have been caught, but overall this series was an enjoyable read. The characters are well developed and easily relatable. I do recommend this series

Heartwarming

I loved the continuation of the story and the growth of Sara's character. I wondered what would happen with Andy, and what happened was a definite surprise. I also loved Julian's character and the way the story developed.

A good series

I gave this third book only 3 stars because of the mistakes that should have been caught during a thorough edit. But I enjoyed the characters in all 3 books.
