For young Mason, his experiences of being beaten, bullied, and abandoned by his own family encouraged him to do just that.
But after being caught up in a terrorist attack during a college tour, he finds himself in an unfamiliar place, surrounded by a new foe—the supernatural—and not even death can stop his primal instinct to live.
The ending threw me for a loop!! I won’t spoil it, but definitely encourage everyone to read it! Have to say it is one of my favorites of the year so far!
I'm sorry but this reads like it was written by a child that has little to no knowledge about anything. Let me give you a small example: Two grown men in clothing that have the wheel and live in two separate cities didn't know what a day was until it was explained to one of them and he was now explaining it to his friend..... The king. The other guy is a merchant. There was absolutely no editing done because a note from the author suddenly appears rather randomly it seemed, between two chapters. I could keep listing problems but I won't because at least the author tried. He definitely has more books published than me.
I was pleasantly surprised by this book l, iseka or litrpg or being born in a different world. The book starts of with a young man being reborn as a human demon hybrid but more human and then as they say the book takes of on a wild ride, most enjoyable to read it has stats crafting the joy of growing up, fighting, maybe a future love interest plus interesting well rounded people he meets along the way, the ending ooooh boy did not see that coming and going to be interesting in book 2.
I really liked this book. I pretty much inhaled it in one evening. The one glaring problem is that the ending is just there. You're cruising along at 100 mph, and then, BAM, it's over. All in all, the book is definitely worth the read.
The concept of the story is interesting, but the execution fails at every turn. Constant spelling and grammar errors break any sort of immersion. The world building starts off interesting, you quickly becomes awful. The demons are all people with strength correlating to their horn count, but are all complete morons. The very concept of different languages seems to be something only the MC and a single side character are allowed to know. The plot turns are all completely arbitrary like the author just tried to think of twists and just shoved them into the story without a care for if they make sense.
So very many problems with the story. First off the protagonist is six for absolutely no reason whatsoever.
The story is just horribly written with about the worst dialogue I've ever read. The hyperbolic expressions are just utterly ridiculous. The system is silly and stupid the world building is bad there is not a single redeeming trade about this book.
It has been a roller coaster ride of pissing me off and enjoyment from the start. Some parts were annoying, and many were not.
It wasn’t until I figured out the protag was still a kid in a kid’s body that some of my annoyance left, but I'm still miffed by the choices that occurred. I also don't like that there was no "magic" (spells). Just anime tier transformations, speed, and strength.
I really don't like carpet characters, and the protag behaving like a carpet and letting enemies go really rubs me the wrong way. One time he is a big bad, next time he is appalled.
I don't know if I would read the sequel. How this ends will decide.
I will give the sequel a try, but this was all over the place. The "system" allowing for shenanigans is fun, but I expected more from the protag.
Congratulations on the new book (series) to the author.
This is a new take after reading Idle System. I was waiting for this to be released and completed just now. Without spoiling much I can say this system is unique with mix of features making it unique. And not many spam system messages. It is neatly limited in necessary chunks and few "Footnotes" to help satisfy your needs to read through all the stats or skip if needed.
Now coming to the story, there are few things I had to get used to over time. Foreshadowing of things yet to come, but not too much. Anyhow, it is entertaining, keeps you going until you finish and wanting more to learn of how it will move forward in its journey. Mason has emotion, depth and grows with the story, didn't expect some things to be revealed in first book, but looking forward to how it grows from here.
I didn't want to give out spoilers, so strictly limited my words to general terms.
Not a bad read not brilliant but decently entertaining read that ending was interesting leave wondering were going with this.
But the system boxes way done left text too small to see properly on my kindle had use magnifying glass often which was frustrating especially tutorial one's. But to be fair have seen much worse like when not fit on screen/page so can't be read at all to colors used making it so can't see text so at least that. (although some in hear was like that with colored text mean making hard see.)
Notes: (without too much details so not ruin anything.) #. Archery is bit boring to read about. #. DNA is underused mean 5 yrs no progress come on. (& such a fun idea.) #. Mc too much thinking mean can see how need info but can be bit much at times. #. Crafting space decant idea but got kinda boring after a while. (Dont know why.) #. Way stats work explanation was not what expecting & not sure liked it honestly.
Finally: using color for text that on kindle is not really best idea as often can not be seen to very hard to see depending on colors used. & hope if vamps brought in they don't have dumb weakness to silver. (As have a lot already)
good book but four stars only, left us on a cliffhanger.
Interesting premise, a demon disguising himself as a human. I like some of the mechanics that the MC has as far as him progressing in abilities and power. What I do not like is the fact that you penalize him with some of his abilities such as him having uncontrollable bloodlust. The MC already has disadvantages such as being a six-year-old child, not being a strong as other characters and for some reason, not knowing RPG mechanics. that’s the other. issue I have with this story everybody knows about role-playing games, Amazon just released a a television series based on fallout. so I don’t buy the fact that he has limited knowledge of game mechanics. besides that the story is engaging the world is very interesting and I will read the next book if and when it is released.
The execution is just so poor that it overshadows and voids all of the few positive aspect of this book.
Just the extreme amount of Tell as opposed to Show brings this down to a 2.5/5 rating but combined with all the rest - just so so many - something like a 1/10 rating is more on target.
If you are interested in more in-depth or reviews with details I suggest giving any of the other so called critical reviews rated 1-3/5, a look see.
I was hoping the author would have improved over the years.. But this was just to depressing - and writing a detailed review would just get me down even more.
*edit*
PS. I actually really liked the last part of the ending which I figure opens up a lot of possibilities for any future continuation of Mason's story.
All for One LitRPG: Book One by Pegaz. This is an example of what a great LitRPG is. This type of story is what draws me to this genre. The author went over the top and used a Random Number Generator to give the damage given and taken based on stats, traits and success rates of actions like applying gems etc. This book is playing a game in word format, just as it should be, awesome. Excellent story telling for the most part, very enjoyable characters. AND the author got me with the ending, double whammy. I definitely need to get the rest of this series. Get this onto your reading list. I received a copy for free on a promotion and am leaving this honest review voluntarily.
I have been on a run of reading around 10 books so bad, I either couldn't finish them or struggled to finish them. How refreshing to finally find a real life page turner! The only bad thing about this book is it is the 1st book in a series and it was just published. Oh, the Bane of My Existence! So very glad I never started reading George R.R. Martin's Game of Thrones when I first saw it in the mid 90's. I recommend this book highly.
I literally love all stories written by Pegaz, but I feel tormented. I have to have the next book, this was amazing not one boring moment. Please release book 2 of this series. Thank you!
made it to chapter 76. Kindle read first 100.pages, then Alexa audio read. Basically a roll playing game. Main character dies and is reincarnated as a demon... Thing evolve and much mistaken poor ethical results. Author is creative. Borrowed this edition on December 20, 2025, Kindle Unlimited.
