Ryan and Elizabeth are “rivals” in the cooking world, both not being able to stand being in the same room with each other without banter and sass being thrown all over the place. An issue with Ryan’s unstable brother brings Ryan to having an idea to be “fake engaged” to Elizabeth to get out of a business contract. But what do you do when you can’t tell what’s fake and what’s real anymore?
I loved the relationship between Elizabeth and Ryan. While they started off as enemies, I loved seeing those boundary lines get a bit blurred and some real passion happen. Ryan had a rough personality, not very friendly, but over time became the sweetest guy. Elizabeth worked hard to get to where she is and she loves hard for those around her. They made a great match to each other. The story had some spice, but mostly focused on the storyline, character development and twists! It did end in a HEA (which I loved) and was a really good read!

Elizabeth Hill and Ryan Grover are social media rivals who hookup at a masquerade party for influencers, not realizing who each other is until after the deed is done. Follow that with a cooking challenge where Ryan the master chef challenges Beth a social media knock off cook and winner takes bragging rights.
While there is chemistry and drama, there is also a fairly sinister plot underneath the story that Ryan’s brother, Ben brings into the story.
The sinister plot forces a twisted storyline to be drawn out, but in the end Elizabeth and Ryan turn their fake engagement into the real thing and a happy ending

This book captured my attention from the first page. I enjoyed reading it. The characters had me laughing at there shenanigans and the banter. It was an excellent story and I definitely recommend reading it. I want to say that I haven't, to my knowledge, read anything else from the author but I definitely look forward to rectifying that real soon.
