This one had a tiny bit of angst in it.
Evan discovers he’s into somno (same bro) but he doesn’t want Bailey to wake up….(dude, hawt). Bailey shows he’s way more mature
than Evan by having an actual conversation rather than trying to run away. And also by making kinky plans. Very nice installment.

2 stars because I deducted for kink-shaming freakouts and lectures. Boring and not good filler for a 38-page incest erotica novella.
I enjoyed the first two books in the series, and I was excited for the somnophilia kink in this one.
What I wasn't expecting was a dumbed down starter kit for kink negotiations, and pages and pages of unnecessary inner angst and turmoil over somnophilia. It's father/son incest erotica, and more time was spent debating how repulsive, heinous, and unforgivable somnophilia kink was than the taboo relationship.
I read a lot of somnophilia: consensual, normal consensual, planned, consensual drugged, roleplay, fantasizing, noncon, dubcon, you name it. I've never seen the kink-shaming element or the "I have to leave you before I hurt you" angle before. It was off-putting.
If that wasn't bad enough, more page space was spent on a Formal Lecture on Why You Shouldn't Take Other People's Prescribed Medications. Sleeping medication, nonetheless. Head-scratching. This is taboo erotica, why are we forced to read about the dangers of taking sleeping medication? For a book that contains constant bareback sex, the son in public places acting as a cum-dumpster with dozens jizzing inside him, plugging it, and then having his father fuck thorough a dozen or more leftovers without a condom on, why are we getting a lecture on the safety of prescribed medication?
All that weirdness aside, it was great to see Bailey and Evan, their relationship is cute and solid, the tolerance and respect for an open relationship is nice.
Would I recommend this book to someone looking for somnophilia scenes? Absolutely not. No one wants a lecture or freakout with their kink, and the actual somno scenes were subpar.
Moments:
• The center of Bailey’s back was littered with tally marks, drawn in black marker pen. Evan ran a finger gently over them, counting absently. Only twelve. “Slow night at the club?” he asked softly, even as he ran the puff over the lean planes of Bailey’s back.
• A year ago, if anyone had asked Evan whether he’d be turned on by the jizz of a stranger leaking out of his lover’s ass, he would have replied with a resounding no.
• Maybe it was because he was generally fucking into sloppy seconds, thirds, fourths, or more?
• Fucking Bailey while he slept, oblivious to what was happening, limp and pliant beneath him. Bailey, so vulnerable and open, being deep in sleep as he was taken without even knowing it.
(Cue the freakout)
• He was suddenly repulsed by the direction his fantasy had taken. What had he even been thinking? Their relationship was taboo by its very nature, but it was built on a foundation of respect and consent. Yet he’d imagined fucking a comatose Bailey. Had imagined such a heinous act.

forgot I've read these I couldn't find book 2 so I've read 1 and 3
which i didn't mind cus somnophilia is my guilty pleasure more then any other taboo stories.( fictional taboo mind you!)
this was not that great still glad to find author's who right about it but the virtue signaling was overbearing..after all the unsafe sex and free use we've read its. a bit out of place to be fair..

I really loved this. I loved the way that Evan's thought process evolved. At first, he fought against the societal norms that he'd been imbued with, thinking that this new kink was wrong and bad but by talking it out with Bailey and exploring it together, he discovered that it isn't wrong, it's just different.
Seeing their relationship grow and Bailey taking the wheel, being the more confident one was great. I think some readers assume because this is a short that it automatically makes it PWP but that's not the case. I love the internal monologues, and the feelings and emotions and character growth we see in these characetrs. The author has done a brilliant job of making me become invested in these characters, despite us not having many pages to get to know them.
Loved this addition to the series and can't wait for more.
