Feel the tug of love’s thread... can Wyn and Quin rewrite their destiny?
As Quin departs for the UK, silence echoes between her and Wyn, their hearts entangled in a web of unspoken words. Amidst the distance, thoughts of each other linger like haunting melodies, yet pride keeps them from reaching out.
Returning to the lake for Luna’s birthday, Quin and Wyn’s magnetic pull draws them together once more, igniting a steamy reunion. But forgiveness isn’t swift, and Wyn’s guarded heart hesitates to embrace Quin’s repentance.
Finally, Quin’s persistence breaks through Wyn’s walls, paving the way for a journey of love. Quin orchestrates a romantic date night at the dilapidated lake house, which has Wyn reconsidering her desire to rid herself of the run-down property.
As they navigate their rekindled romance and the challenges ahead, the question lingers… Will Wyn and Quin find their happily ever after amidst the tranquil waters of the lake, surrounded by their closest friends and family?
Join Wyn and Quin as they navigate the choppy waters of a relationship to see if they are Destined To Be…
If you like steamy ice-queen, age-gap lesbian romance you wont' want to miss Destined to Be.
Continuation of Bound to Be… The childish back and forth between Quin and Wyn was funny, especially Quin’s mental gymnastics of who was at fault with their breakup. They are both so stubborn, and this results in a massive amount of miscommunication. I didn’t feel the love in this part of the story as much as I did in the previous part, more angst here, less connection. Even though this is part two of a two part story, it is a separate book, and here there was very little description to remind me of the characters, it was straight back into the story. After starting this book and not getting anywhere, I had to go back and read the last couple of chapters of the previous book to get back into the feelings and emotions. I suppose I am really just moaning about a two-part story, something I really don’t like 😜 However, Lauren Hart’s storytelling is, as always, excellent; the pacing was good, and the ending was fun, as usual Luna being a nosy cousin…
This is the last book of the love island series and what a perfect ending! The author is a brilliant story teller and I feel like I personally know all the beautiful characters in her books, and I would love to live in the peaceful lakeside house, enjoying the hot summer as well as the cold winter, become friends with these lovely celebrities and their equally great wives. This book is the continuation of the last one "Bound to be", we finally got the perfect ending that former soccer star Quin and movie star Wyn deserved. They are truly destined to be together, no matter the distant, the misunderstand, the stubbornness, in the end Love conquers all! I also love the world's best cousin of Quin, the adorable and meddling author Luna, thanks to her wisely little nudges, the love birds realized their undeniable attraction and finally become a real family. I enjoyed the book very much.
If you haven't read Bound to Be, don't read this one yet as it takes place just a few months after the other's cliffhanger. In Destined to Be, Quin's cousin Luna is once again the catalyst for bringing Quin and Wyn together when she invites them to her very elaborate birthday bash. They are very stubborn women who try to stay angry with one another, but their chemistry and passion automatically take over.
Although the story has some fun moments and the ending is great, if I'm going to be honest, for me this book lacked an emotional connection. It didn't feel like they knew much about each other except for their physical needs. They couldn't tell each other what they wanted out of life or really couldn't share anything personal. The main characters' lack of communication and stubborn natures continued to be a problem until the bitter end when they finally committed to one another. I'm sorry, but I missed the emotional connection!
Destined to Be picks up months after the conclusion of Bound to Be, which ended with a not so happy cliffhanger. Wyn and Quin cross paths once again at Quin's cousin Luna's birthday party. And they're still both as stubborn as they were before, each afraid the other doesn't share the same feelings and failing to communicate. The characters from the series play an integral role in this story, especially Luna. If you don't want the backstory cliffhanger, this could be read as a second chance standalone work but you'd miss out on some details. If you like lighthearted, second chance, age gap stories with stubborn characters, I recommend this book.

Quin and Wyn are so very stubborn. In this second book of their journey they once again are angry at each other for such dumb things. Good thing their hearts are more in sync as they see each other again at Luna’s birthday party, and things start to change. There is also some good comedy as I enjoyed the baby shower which was much too short. Also glad that Luna meddles so much as the stubborn women very much needed it.
Thankfully we’re not left hanging too long before we head back to Sylvan Lake but Wyn’s not there and nor is Quin. The former is filming in sun-soaked Hawaii and the latter is freezing her arse off in the UK. Brought back together by Luna’s birthday party it’s not long before they’re banging into each other again. And again. But how will they manage to work out a future when not a lake but a pond separates them? Sad to say goodbye to the Lakes lot. All 4 books on the series have been great.
This is the second book that completes Bound to Be..or if read alone considered a second chance romance. This continues Wyn and Quin's story..both have unresolved issues and feelings toward each other...and cross paths...at Luna'a party. Of course, sparks fly...and this second chance takes off..Intense passion, drama, friends trying to help, and such love, makes this a 5 star winner to read!!

I have to say, the cliffhanger from “Bound to Be” was painful. Ok, I exaggerate…some, but I get so invested in the author’s characters that I do find myself feeling for them. From the beginning at Kate’s Birthday party, until their next meeting. Their chemistry is palpable. It’s steamy, spicy, just what an excellent sapphic novel should be. I can’t wait for what’s next from the author.
4.5 stars. It's always nice getting to revisit old friends, especially with the knife to the heart ending we received with Bound to Be. This was much needed; it was a great follow-up to tie up loose ends. The spice was spicy and the characters seemed to have a matured, especially Quin. If you read Bound to Be, complete the series to find out where the roller coaster ends.
Wes Carson and Quin Macy had parted ways when Quin wouldn’t listen to Wes’s explanation. Quin had taken the job in the UK and Wes went back to her acting career. When Luna hosts a big birthday bash for herself, they meet again and the flames burn hot. A great sapphic romance. Great series.
A great love story with heat and humor. This is the fourth book in the Lake Love Series, and I loved every book. I knew when I received a Lauren Hart book that it was going to be good, and this book did not disappoint. I loved Quin and Wyn’s love story and the side characters are great also. You don’t want to miss this book. I received an advanced review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Destined to find your HEA. In life we all go through relationships that fail but it takes a few to lead you to that perfect moment when you find them- A happy ever after.
Wow what a fantastic ending I loved the main characters journey it was heartbreaking at times but love wins I loved the pull of these two characters making you really laugh and cry but never giving up that they get through it all, this has to be my favourite characters so far it was awesome story one that you don't want to miss definitely a must-read congratulations
Quin & Wyn are 2 stubborn ladies who are made for each other. They have yet to figure out that talking can accomplish a lot. Even after months apart the heat between them is still there and they can't resist it anymore. Their relationship is a push/pull kind of thing and I found myself talking to both of them to just say what you feel. I was totally involved in the story.

Although Wyn and Quin at times act like they are Dumb and Dumber, their sweetness is just so much that you can’t stop reading. Their chemistry is phenomenal but their lack of communication skills trips them up constantly. Towards the end of the story, they finally seem to get it together and they get their happy ever after.
