EN What a fabulous series! It is quickly becoming one of my all-time favourite series.
Sato is an outstanding character. The scene with him and the drawings is absolutely brilliant—I laughed out loud, just as much as the characters themselves.
Imagine a top-tier assassin who never fails, yet is at the same time incredibly naïve when it comes to the ordinary things in life. Someone with the heart of an angel, despite the cold, almost mechanical way in which he carries out his missions.
Amazing. One of my fav series. Some mature themes / content but it’s done very well and not offensive. Makes you hate the bad guys and root for The Fable even more. A+
Content warning: this book contains graphic depictions of Sexual assault, rape, stalking, and extortion.
I'm really enjoying this series so far, even though this book contained some themes that made me quite uncomfortable with its graphic depictions of stalking and harassment. I do feel like this story handles it a bit better compared to others, though. I'm curious where the story will continue from here.
It's the season for dropping series that have fallen off a cliff! The Fable started so strong. It was really funny. I genuinely loved the first volume. Then it decided it wanted to be a mostly serious action drama with just a handful of jokes thrown in. Now the creator is starting to pepper in some annoying generational politics and double down on sexual violence as a hook. Despite the really nice art it's not good enough to keep going
Incels, extortion, and hidden cameras are all horrid things, and they are out there. I get that this manga is spotlighting it, and using it to show his despicable the new faces are, but they turn my stomach every time they are used in stories. Not to mention the Stockholm rape going on. ugh. This volume really dragged, just a lot of horrible things happening at once. The only real catharsis is right at the end. I'm really only giving this one more volume before I drop off completely
