I enjoyed this second in the series alot. It was so interesting and full of information about that era. I'm looking forward to reading the third and final book in this series.

I’m addicted to this trilogy. It’s been a while since I’ve read one that kept me hooked from start to finish. This series has time travel and a lot of coincidences; however, the characters go through battles and real issues that make them feel so real and relatable. And God, the men in these books — I’d keep them all if I could.
Eve is awesome. She navigates through life with a strength I wish more of us had, and her resilience and compassion know no bounds.
Henry… what can I say? He makes mistakes, but he owns them, and he’s growing so much with every new book. He is discovering himself while we discover him too. It’s beautiful to see.
Onto book 3 right now.

Eva had been hurt bad. She was cared for at a farm. Elias came and she went with him to study moths. Ann Elizabeth Briars is a fantastic author. She tells of traveling to the past.

I found this second book too much introspective. I was expecting a more adventurous sequel to the first book and in that respect I was disappointed. Also, I found very hard to empathize with the hero and I do think Eva would be much better off with Elias. Nonetheless, it is an interesting story and I look forward to the last chapter.
