I went rogue on this one (wasn’t on the buddy read), but I was curious about the brother. He seemed like a total asshole compared to the last brother, and if this one was going to Break his wife… Yikes.
We have another vague blurb, so stop if you want a zero deets. BUT, again like the last book this has spanking into submission and dom/sub themes.

WOW! More than I expected. Lots of emotion!
This is book 2 in the Reluctant Vows series. This one tells Leo Volante (2nd oldest brother) and Venezia Bianchi's story. And ....just WOW!
Leo is the emotionless brother. The one who cuts people no slack; does and says things to intimidate or get a rise out of people. He's also quick to anger and known for his violent nature. It's why he's the enforcer. He's the brother who doesn't believe in love, doesn't have a romantic bone in his body and never intends to get married. So I expected Leo to be even more of a hard@ss than his brother Alessandro (His To Wed). I was already pitying his poor bride before I even read the story. Boy was I wrong about what I expected! I loved this story even more than the first one
Venezia is the unknown daughter of Carlo Bianchi, the Volante's greatest enemy. Sent to Europe to be raised after she was born, no one knows that Carlo Bianchi even has a daughter. Venezia's not a pushover. She's strong, smart, bold and can give as good as she gets. And she certainly gives Leo a challenge. She doesn't hesitate to stand up to him, pushes him to live up to his threats and relishes the results. She's resilient!
After discovering her father intends to marry her to an ancient, gross and brutal cousin who has sons older than her, she escapes to NY and approaches the Volantes proposing her own alliance, offering herself in an arranged marriage with one of the brothers. She has something to offer in exchange. She's beautiful, but it's her poise and confidence, her fearlessness that attracts Leo. He wants her...But can she be trusted? The enemy's daughter? Or is this some ruse to get inside information about the Volante family to her father?
What I really expected was a story with more bd$m than the previous one, and we do get some. But we also get a lot of emotion. The really surprising part... it's not just from Venezia. No we actually get some deep emotion from Leo, especially towards the end. I was actually choked up for him. Leo's emotions were all over the place and for someone who has trouble accepting he even has emotions much less talking about them, you know it's going to be a struggle for him. Add in his trust struggles...Can he, should he, trust her...he wants to. He believes he can...but his brothers aren't ready to and it makes him question his own judgment. Is he letting his growing attachment to her color his judgement? Can he trust his own judgement now? One minute he's passionate and loving the next he's gone cold. And when things happen that seem to put Venezia under suspicion...well, it's going to get bad before it get good again. I LOVED this story. 5++ stars

His To Break is from the Reluctant Vows Series by Sassa Daniels. This is a wonderfully written mafia romance about Leonardo and Vinnie. Leonardo Volante is one of the brothers in the family. There are four brothers in all. The oldest brother Antonio is the head of the Volante Mafia Family. They are at one of their businesses waiting to have a meeting with Venezia (Vinnie) Bianchi, her father happens to be Carlo Bianchi. Her father was not happy to have a daughter, he had sent Vinnie and her mother to Italy to live. Carlo even let people think that he had a son.
Vinnie had come to the Volante's to arrange a marriage for herself and one of the brothers. Her father had already chosen someone for Vinnie, but she wanted to make her own choice. Leo chooses to be the brother to marry Vinnie and there will be rules. They are very attracted to each other and want some of the same things in a marriage. This book has a very apt title since Leo Volante does have the absolute power, and even the aptitude, to break Vinnie Bianchi! She comes to the Volante’s with a proposition to marry into their family to protect herself from her father, the head of one of their sworn enemy families. While unusual to the extreme, Leo and Vinnie are married within days. The problem is that no one really trusts the motives of Vinnie and all are quite prepared to kill her at the first sign of duplicity. It’s up to Leo to get to the bottom of it and he does so in a rather coarse and somewhat brutal way via some very rough sex. It doesn’t do much good though since Vinnie likes it, a LOT! Instead of putting the fear of God into her, it excites the heck out of her and she matches him point for point. These two are a perfect match. She slowly wins him, and most of his family, over while he mellows to some degree and even becomes a little bit of a romantic. However not all is calm in their world and when someone gets shot Leo is once again forced to try and break her. Who breaks who is the question? A riveting dark mob story with lots of violence and lots of action, both in and out of bedroom. There is no cliff hanger and there is a sweet HEA but there are a few unanswered questions and innuendos that make one expect (and hope) that another story may be coming. 5 Stars

If you read “His to Wed” you know about the Volante Family. Leonardo Volante is next to find a bride or more the bride finds a Volante. Vinnie aka Venezia Bianchi is not going to be told who to marry by a father that cares little about her. She goes to the Volante to a proposition. Leo sees the sass in Vinnie and steps up. He will marry her but there are rules. These two are explosive. As much as Leo thinking no woman isn't going to change him. Vinnie does. She brings out the soft side of him. Yes trust is slow going. The sexual tension is so good. They are meant to be together. We also have what is going on with Antonio and his wife Isabella. I really want to know their story. Something just doesn’t seem right. Something happens that shakes up the family too. I look forward to reading about the other members of the family: Matteo, Gio, and Olivia.

Women in the Bianchi family are nothing but pawns to be used as the head of the family dictates. To save herself from a ruthless match, Vinnie offers herself to the Volante family and Leo accepts the offer. They are a great match, both strong and determined. There is danger throughout the story which adds a touch of excitement. Both of the main characters are well developed as are the other players in the story. It is well written and very entertaining. I loved both Vinnie and Leo and how hard and fast they fell for each other. It’s a great story that’s worth reading.

Seeing that this is book 2, while it can be a standalone book, I am guessing that it would be best to read the first book first. Having said that I enjoyed this book. While I wouldn't say (as per the title) that was an arranged marriage but rather It was an interesting twist for the traditional Mafia Marriage themed books. Along with the steamy romance, it has an interesting plot comprised of suspense, mystery and danger. Quite enjoyable. I will not go back and read the first book in the series as it will bring greater clarity to parts of this story.

This was a quick read. It was instalust/love and really kind of all over the place. I feel like it could have used a little more editing to bring the story to a more cohesive place. I liked this book but, did not love it. I did not believe Leo and Vinnie as a couple, there just wasn't enough buildup to them falling in love. It felt really rushed and I still don't know if I believe they are in love. I liked Vinnie ok but, really overall didn't care for Leo that much. He was really immature, in my opinion.

What a great book! This is second book in Reluctant vows series.
Leo and Vinnie! What an outstanding book. Vinnie is a strong feisty woman who stands her ground when her husband Leo pushes her.
The dynamic between these two is remarkable.
I really liked that Vinnie didn’t get lost in her head and act hurt when there’s a conflict or some confusion
She stood her ground and pushed back at Leo. And Leo, he was willing to listen to Vinnie and learned to trust.
I love this series, can’t wait to read Antonio and Isabella’s story.

Enjoyable Read to readers who like passionate relationship and intense love scenes. Both characters are strong in their own ways. Vinnie chose to marry to the enemy's family and Leo decided to take over that marriage to discern her secrets and make her kneel. He was not prepared to fall for her and that made the story more interesting. Recommended!.

Vinnie (Venezia Bianchi) visits the Volante family and asks to marry one of them to escape from the horrible arranged marriage that her father planned. She marries Leo Volante but Leo doesn't plan a vanilla marriage. The family are heading into a mob war and Vinnie will play her part.

Vinnie came looking for protection by offering to marry one of the brothers. Leo and Vinnie instantly felt a connection neither one could control. She is the daughter of the Don who is their enemy. The story is not bad, it is really nice and short. I wish she would make him grovel a bit towards the end when he hurt her and she just quickly forgave him.

This is the second book in this mafia series, but it can be read stand alone. Vinnie is going to be married off by her father so instead she decides to arrange her own marriage and decides it should be with a Volante brother. Will she and Leonardo be able to make it work? Fast-paced read with loads of drama, suspense and steam. I liked it.

Wow I couldn't put it down
This is the second book in a series and I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. The story is an exciting and emotional storyline. Love the new author characters and that family storylines crossed over from book one. Can't wait to read more xx

Words can't express how much I loved this book!
OMG, This is truly one of the best books I've ever read and I've been reading many this past year. I love Leo and Vinnie and their struggles, pain, sexual escapades, and mostly their love story!
