As always I gravitate towards MC romances…. There’s something about this Sons of Anarchy environment that always entertains me.
This is a dark MC series and the first one follows the president of the club, Steel. I enjoyed. Wasn’t anything crazy but it was fun and fast paced.

This was my first read by this author.
I'm feeling like I missed some background. Maybe this one is linked to another series. I'm not sure, but it worked as a standalone for me.

Typical MC story, actually. He didn't want an old lady or a serious relationship. Until he got smacked up his head with meeting our heroine, and the rest is history.

Some dangerous situations, a cute 4 years-old kid (her half brother), some mistrust, some drama, not too much tho, with the club chicks and everything wrapped up nicely for them.

I think she was too understanding sometimes when it comes to his past. But reality is that once they meet and become quickly an item, he's absolutely smitten with her and her brother. So yeah, what's in the past should stay in the past 😀. But, I'm bitter and would have kicked that b1tch out of the club 😂🤣👋.

Now, the next couple, I'm pretty sure I will have an interesting story. I'm too curious about finding out why Ghost is such... well... a ghost 👀😅.

I'm so glad I decided to read this! I had read the first book in Eva's mafia series and had decided she may not be for me, but when I saw this blurb, I decided to have another look. Steel was fast paced with tons of action and plenty of hot smexy times. I'm really excited for the next book in the series and I'll likely take another look at the mafia series as well.

Steel is the first book in the Twisted Kings series. An entertaining MC romance. Jameson and Tempe were great. They had good chemistry and banter. Her four year old brother Austin was cute and his relationship with both of them was sweet.
The story was straightforward and I expected more cause to me it was a little predictable. Still the characters were amazing and I’m excited for what’s to come. Especially Ghost and Luna whose story is next. I can’t wait.

The saying “If Eva Simmons writes it, I’m going to read it” continues to ring true for me with her new MC romance series.

Jameson Steel is the president of the Twisted Kings MC and he has no desire to be locked down by an old lady. The club and his brothers are his entire life. Bringing someone else into that is just way too dangerous.

That is until temptation strikes in the form of, Tempe. The fiesty, fierce and protective badass who was caught trying to steal from the Twisted Kings in an attempt to save her brother…she also happens to be the daughter of a club traitor.

This story is full of so much sexual tension, sassy/playful banter and I just loved the found family vibes! The relationship between Steel and Austin…SO FREAKING ADORABLE!

Steel pulled me in right away with its mix of tension, heat, and that stubborn emotional slow burn that keeps you hooked even when you want to shake the characters. I loved the gritty vibe of the story — the danger, the secrets, the “I definitely shouldn’t want you but here we are” energy. The chemistry is intense in that addictive, slightly reckless way that makes the whole book feel charged.
Some plot moments were a little dramatic for the sake of drama, and a couple scenes moved faster than I expected, but honestly? It didn’t stop me from tearing through it. The emotional payoff hits, the spice delivers, and the ending leaves you feeling like the characters actually earned it.

I love the beginning of an MC series!

I’ve got a book bestie that has been singing Eva’s praises for a while now and she was not wrong! I can only speak for this story (and I hope she writes a lot more in this series), but even with just this story I can already tell she is a writer that respects subgenres and tropes and does not overly dramatize. For me, that’s #winning. MC romances can easily derail into OTT nonsense due to the lifestyle of the members but it doesn’t have to be represented that way. You can write about the darkness, violence, sexual fluidity, and extremism of the world without the circumstances being ”too” any of those things. Many authors do it and some don’t. Eva Simmons is an author that does, and I am here for it!

The story of Tempe and Steel grabbed me from the beginning and so did the story of the club. I was invested in all of it, and I felt a whole lot while I read it. From the grit to the soft moments I loved how Eva captured all the moments and really put me in the story. Her prose is incredible, and I’m already addicted. The story blended the drama of the past well with the now and added to the already captivating storyline. And we can’t forget about little Austin! Th even more perfect aspect of the story was the slow-burn and build-up that Eva designed for Tempe & Steel. With the connections from the past and circumstances of the now, I don’t think it would have worked any other way as easily as it did like this. I can’t believe this is actually my first book written by this woman because her written ticks every one of my boxes!

If you’re an MC romance enthusiast, you should put this series and author on your radar. This story was not extreme on any front but had the necessary grit, brotherhood, mystery and somewhat darkish elements all mc romances should have.

Ugh I enjoyed this book so much. MC and darker books have been my jam lately and this sure did not disappoint. Tempe and Jameson have a tie to the same club that they are not aware of when they first meet when Tempe was sent to retrieve something from Steel's MC. Her dad was the VP of the club until he betrayed the club and was killed. Steel is the President of the same MC Tempe's dad was a part of. He cares about the club and his brothers and that's it. Until Tempe and her brother Austin came crashing into his life.

Tempe was such a badass yet fiesty FMC and I loved the fire she had in her. She fought Steel every step of the way and tried to deny what was happening between them for so long. Steel was the perfect blend of morally grey MC man who was possessive and a little bit obsessed with Tempe.

Their relationship, I loved it so much. Between their banter, their connection that they shared both emotionally and physically was so good. The spice in this was chef's kiss too. Let's not forget the relationship Steel had with Austin. Freaking SWOON. I had several highlights of literally the sweetest moments between those two. Austin immediately saw through Steel's tough exterior.

This book was a great start to Eva's new MC romance series and I cannot wait for Ghost and Luna's story next!

I am reasonably new to Eva Simmons, but now I'm asking myself why I haven't devoured her backlist yet? This MC romance was so easy to read and I was absolutely hooked. I couldn't put it down and before I knew it, I was done. Steel and Tempe (and Austin) captured my heart so quickly. I do love an MC romance; strong, scary, intimidating men brought to their knees by equally strong women. YES PLEASE.

I really enjoyed both of these characters. They were both haunted by past traumas, making it hard for them both to trust and let go of feelings of inadequacy. I love how Tempe was able to bring out a side in Steel that he didn't even know he had. His relationship with little Austin was adorable and I loved how protective he was, straight from the get go.

The chemistry between Steel and Tempe was electric from their first meeting. The push and pull dynamic between them was fire; they absolutely burnt so bright together. The softer moments between the three of them were some of my favourites. Watching Steel fall for both Tempe and Austin was so special, him giving them both confidence and a safe place to land. It was truly such a great balance between the darker elements of an MC story and the lighter moments of a romance.

Special mention must go to the immaculate found family vibes portrayed in thus book. Steel and his club were able to show Tempe and Austin what it meant to be part of a family, blood or not. It made me feel so good; their little unit was so cute!

I am so excited to see where Eva takes this series. I'm looking forward to Ghost's story next and hopefully see some glimpses of Steel, his Old Lady and Austin.

Holy. Sh*t. What did I even just read?! The way this book sucked me in from the very first second and I could literally not get enough of these characters. I never wanted it to end.

Jameson Steel is the president of the Twisted Kings MC. After being betrayed by his VP less than a year ago he’s still untrusting and unwilling to allow anyone to breach his very high walls. Enter Tempe….
Being sent into the Twisted Kings compound was supposed to just be a simple retrieval mission. Until she’s caught behind enemy lines and things get so much more complicated than either Tempe or Jameson could have imagined.

The attraction and infatuation between these two was immediate. Their energy and spark was HIGH HEAT. This man is the hottest mfer and I would literally bark if he told me to. Tempe on the other hand doesn’t take any of his sh*t and does not back down regardless of whats at stake for her own safety or freedom. Because she has something much bigger that she’s fighting for- her little brother.

I cannot even express to you how swoon worthy this man is with this little boy. I love a single dad trope but to see this father figure come out of nowhere and completely turn both Tempe and Austin’s worlds upside down in the very best way had me CRYIN IN THE CLUB. And I’ve said it before and I will say it again…THIRD ACT KIDNAPPING >>>>>>>> THIRD ACT BREAK UP ANY DAYYYYYY

This was absolutely one of the easiest five star ratings I’ve ever given. I loved every single second of this book and can’t wait to dive into the rest of these characters.

Loved this one. Such an entertaining read with action, suspense and an MC Prez that falls first and falls fast!!

Steel was such a perfect blend of dominance and heat. He was loyal, brave and dedicated to his club and to his family. His past and deep roots to the club was all he lived for until his wildfire and little Austin blew into his life and really shook things up.

I loved our heroine, Tempe, she was awesome. She was the perfect partner for Steel. These two were so in sync even when they were both half heartedly fighting their feelings for each other.

If you like the gritty, morally grey characters and MC romances, I can definitely recommend this book. Its first in a new series and if you’re anything like me, you’ll be hooked and anxiously awaiting stories for all the patches brothers!! Excited for Ghost and Luna, up next!

Almost a perfect 5⭐️ star read but the OW and patch bunny drama is not my favorite. The constant reminder and antagonism that Tempe has to deal with even after becoming Steel’s old lady is not ideal and did put a damper on things. It helps that Steel is loyal to a fault and leaves Tempe zero doubts that he will be faithful to her.

mc romance is the epitome of found family, and this book was one of the best renditions of that trope i’ve read in a long time. nothing says found family like being betrayed by the ones you thought were your chosen family and then living jaded, distrustful of everyone, even those who stood by you. only to have all your walls bulldozed by the daughter of your traitor, your own old vice-president. god, every single thing about this was deliciously angsty. an emotional unavailable mc president with a heart of gold, an independent badass fmc who hated bikers because of her father, the circumstances that brought the enemies together and forced them to become de facto parents to her baby brother. what more could you ask for? and his nickname for her was everything.

Creo que descubrir esta serie es algo por lo que me podría obsesionar tranquilamente 🤭.

Tempe es una chica de 22 años que después de que hombres peligrosos ingresarán a su casa y mataran a su madre queda a cargo de su hermanito menor y si quiere protegerlo y librarse de ellos debera robarle a Steel el presidente de una banda de moteros pero las cosas se complican cuando el la descubre y se da cuenta que ella es la hija del hombre que la traiciono así que decide no dejarla ir.


La verdad es que la historia de Steel y Tempe me encanto, y destaco mucho el echo de que el niño realmente haya tenido protagonismo a lo largo del libro y uno muy tierno ♥️(Steel era muy tierno)

Steel al principio parecía ser un hombre frío y que no quería tener una relación por ser mujeriego y no tener madera para ser un hombre fiel pero a medida que avanza la lectura nos damos cuenta que la razón es mucho mas dolorosa de lo que se creía y que lo que pasó en su infancia lo marco mucho 💔. Con la llegada de Tempe y Austin a su vida el tuvo un cambio gigante y fue lindo ver como ellos derretian su frío corazón y lo hicieron querer y anhelar una familia.

Tempe es un personaje que me gustó mucho, ella creía no ser suficiente para su hermanito pero el solo hecho de arriesgar su vida para protegerlo demostro que era una gran hermana para el, siempre se preocupo por su bienestar y lo protegió como una madre. También lo que ame de ella es que era una luchadora y nunca dejo que Steel la lastimara ella tenía los pies en la tierra y sabía cuál era su lugar, siempre fue segura sobre lo que quería y tenía el temperamento para ser la compañera perfecta del presidente, ellos tuvieron mucha comunicación lo que ayudo a su relación y se complementaron muy bien♥️.

El drama estuvo buenísimo y si bien algunas cosas las esperaba otras me dejaron perpleja porque no las esperaba y hasta el final hubo sorpresas.

Obvio voy por el libro de Ghost y Luna 🧚🏻‍♀️

Steel is the Prez of Twisted Kings motorcycle gang his group is under attack can he lead them to win or will the group not make it. He loves his group so much he doesn’t want a woman his life to take away from his motorcycle family. Tempe is fiery fiesta young woman who fighting to have the life she wants and take care of her little brother.. That doesn’t have anything to do with the motorcycle group. The cards are stack against them can they come together and help each other or will both of their worlds burn down even they worked so hard? I loved watching these three become a family!!

I love a good MC romance and this one easily became one of my favorites!
Eva is a newer author to me but every book I’ve read I end up loving! I love the writing style and I feel like Eva does a great job with balancing plot and spice. But the spicy scenes were so good! 🔥

Steel is President of Twisted Kings and he has been dealing with recent attacks against his club. He has always put the club first and dedicated his life to the club until he meets Tempe. Tempe is a fierce, fiery woman that would do anything to protect her brother. And that is how she finds herself trying to steal from the club. Except it doesn’t go as planned and she is caught by Steel. Steel learns that not only is she trying to steal from them but is also the daughter of a traitor. Because of this he decides she can’t leave the compound until he figures out what is going on. They are suppose to be enemies, but as they spend more time together they realize it is harder to stay away from each other than they thought. And they find themselves breaking all of their rules.
We love a MC President that thinks he will be living a bachelor life forever until one girl comes in and changes his mind. 👏
I loved that he called Tempe wildfire, so cute.
Steel with Austin was so hartwarming I just loved the little family they created.

This is the first book in the series and I feel like it is going to be so good! All of the guys in the club are so interesting and I cannot wait for Ghost and Luna!

I don't know how this is only my second book by Eva Simmons, but now I am going to have to discover her other books! This MC romance was so easy to read, and I sped through this book in a day as I could not put it down!

I really enjoyed both of these characters, Steel and Temp. They are both distrustful of each other at first: Temp because of her negative history with MCs, and Steel because Temp is the daughter of a traitor. Although their friendship is shaky at best, from the beginning Steel remains protective of Temp and her little brother Austin. The scenes with Steel and Austin were so adorable and I loved seeing all the MC brothers helping take care of Austin. They also did there best to protect him from all the bad stuff happening in his life! The found family trope where family doesn't have to be blood was so strong in this book! It was one of my favorite parts.

Steel and Temp's relationship started off shaky but turned into something beautiful. The push and pull for each other was perfect! Although it was just supposed to be a onetime thing, both their feelings for each other were too strong! I was so happy there was no 3rd act breakup or cheating! Once Steel realized Temp was the one for him (although fighting his feelings), he remained loyal to her even when they were just friends! Their relationship grew in strength, honesty, and maturity. I also loved that Steel and Temp were both a safe place for each other in their relationship to let their walls down and open up to each other! You discovered how much strength Temp had at 22 years old, and how much fell on Steel's shoulders when it came to the MC. Both leaned on each other and took care of the other when they were alone together! I thought the romance and suspense plot was amazing, the story flowed beautifully, and all the complex characters were developed thoroughly. Although I just finished this book, I cannot wait to read all about Ghost and Luna, especially because of the way the book finished!

What an easy, exciting and thrilling ride this one was! I entered my MC era and I don't see myself leaving it any time soon. 🥳

Tempe's story was a whole whirlpool of emotions really. She's very sassy and definitely a great match to our MMC, but gosh learning more and more of what life has been throwing at her made me question "how do you still function". She's definitely one resilient woman, and a true fighter.

Jameson aka Steel is the President of the Twisted Kings club. He's very closed-off and doesn't trust easily, definitely not after being betrayed by someone he thought he could trust.
That is until Tempe enters his life and changes his world completely.

You can definitely feel the chemistry between the main characters from the start, and before Steel even realizes it himself, he's taken Tempe and her little brother under his wing to keep them safe and protected. He claims it's only until he discovers her true motives, but deep down the doubts about whether there's more to it start occupying a lot of his thoughts and time.
There's an incredibly strong pull between them, and the moment both of them snap is just too damn good. 🔥

The relationship and connection that Jameson develops with Tempe's brother is so genuine and sweet, I couldn't stop smiling whenever they were together.

I enjoyed the suspense in this book and the unexpected twists, it definitely kept my brain busy trying to figure out what would happen.

This book is an amazing start to a new series, and I'm already so excited for Ghost's story—I was intrigued by him from the first moment I met him, and I feel his story will not disappoint.

Best MC romance ever - I’m SO in love with Eva’s writing, the plot of this, omg these characters?! It’s utterly perfect. Every moment of reading this had me SO giddy. It reminded me why I fell in love with reading. From the minute I started this that was it, I became head over heels for this book. Eva has this soft lyrical writing that feels so emotional and romantic. While what is happening on page is a little darker and heavier, the writing just melts you. The dark motorcycle aspect just made me want to be in the compound. The suspense and twist were so gripping. The relationships formed between Austin and everyone else had my heart melting. Tempe was everything you could dream of and fit in so seamlessly when she shouldn't have. STEEL, ugh I love him. He hid so much of himself and watching him open up and discover each new thing was a beautiful journey. I AM OBSESSED OK?! Eva is easily going to be a fave author for me and I need to binge her whole back list immediately while I try to be patient for ghost & luna. You have to read this book - just give it a go and you'll not regret it.

Eva has officially entered her MC romance era and come out swinging with the first instalment to the Twisted Kings series. I devoured this, Eva’s writing is so easy to read and I found myself completely captivated by the characters, plot and the journey she took us on.

Jameson + Tempe’s story is intense, emotional, heartfelt and steamy. At its core, it’s about healing, overcoming the past and finding love, a family and a home in the most unlikely circumstances. It was beautifully balanced between the soft, romantic moments and the darker MC elements.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁: MC president, traitors daughter, sudden parent, her or his club, found family, hurt / comfort, touch my family and d!e.

Jameson is the intimidating leader of the Twisted Kings, he’s jaded after betrayal and completely closed off to any kind of emotional attachment. Until our girl Tempe walks into his clubhouse. She’s all fire and sass, giving him a run for his money and not afraid to go toe to toe with him. I loved her fire, quick wit and admired the way she handled herself at every twist and turn.

But she’s his traitors daughter, sent to steal from him so he keeps her close to keep an eye on her, ultimately protecting her and her brother who she’d recently become sudden guardian to. I loved the way he softened for Tempe and her brother. There was such a strong magnetic pull between them, there was no chance he could deny it for long. The moments with Jameson and Austin had me melting and just smiling like a loon. I loved the relationship they built and how Jameson never hesitated when it came to protecting and caring for him like he was his own.

I really enjoyed the way Eva built up the suspense in this and gave us some unexpected twists which kept me on edge. She did a fantastic job establishing the Twisted Kings world, setting the scene and introducing us to some complex and intriguing characters. I am looking forward to Ghost’s story next!

I had a really fun time with this book! It had been a while since I had read a motorcycle club book and I’m not sure I’ve read one with this level of detail, which I really liked. Steel initially felt like the typical “leader” MMC who I have a problem falling in love with: he was gruff, grumpy and terse. But underneath his hard shell, he really showed how deeply he cared for his found family. Once he decided to trust our FMC Tempe, he demonstrated how deeply he loves. Tempe was feisty, strong and was not going to take ANY of Steel’s steely (heh) antics lying down. She so naturally took to the role of caretaker for her little brother Austin that it really tugged at my heart strings! He was so sweet and was the glue that really fused together our MMC and FMC. On top of all this, the relationship build was delicious and the spice was very enjoyable in this story. I would love to continue reading this series to hear more about our broody side character Ghost!!

In true Eva Simmons fashion, this book was amazing and the way she describes everything is so beautiful.

The banter was amazing, love a woman who stands up for herself.

I knew from the first time Steel called Tempe mine, it was gonna be downhill from there.
He was never going to let Tempe or Austin go.

Love when they give a shot mouth to mouth, and I will never be I’ve that scene or the party scene with her on his lap😮.

Another relationship I loved in this book was Steel and Austin’s.
Like he looked at his cut like it was a cape was so precious.

The writing was good in this; it is just a romance, character build/plot problem for me.

Honestly, I think the Eniems to lovers trope is just becoming too repetitive for me. When you start a story with enemies/ ravials and an MMC that says ''he does not want a woman or to settle down'', but then sees the FMC and has a complete personality change and falls in love in 3 chapters, it just loses my interest immediately. This has happened in a lot of books I have read lately, and I think it's the two troops that clash. You can't have characters that hate each other but also have an insta love; it just doesn't make sense in my opinion.

I AM OBSESSED!!!! Wow what a ride that was!! Eva Simmons is a new to me author with this being my first book by her and I am utterly obsessed. Her writing style is so easy to get into and before I knew it, I was finished and craving more. I am a sucker for a good MC romance and this was SO DAMN GOOD - seriously no notes on this banger.

Watching Jameson not want to settle down with anyone to willing to burn the world down for Tempe and Austin was perfection. I love the softness Jameson has towards them and how patient he was with Austin. His relationship with Austin was so genuine and tender and I loved seeing that side of the broody prez of the Twisted Kings.

Tempe was such an amazing FMC and I love how sassy she was with Jameson and stood her ground against him. She’s willing to do whatever she has to when it comes to ensuring Austin’s safety and she didn’t shy away from telling Jameson exactly what was on her mind. Their banter and chemistry was undeniable that you can’t help but fall in love with them.

This book was perfection and I have no notes on it. This was the perfect blend of MC romance / spice / plot / found family.

4.5 loved every part of this book! Right up there with the Soldiers of Sin series for me! Will def be continuing the series. Jameson was such a good MMC and I loved Tempe, she was the perfect amount of fierce FMC! Austin moments with Jameson had me swooning. Love love! Great entry level MC book imo!

I’m a Simmons fan through and through and I love a good MC book, so this was obviously a hit for me.

Found family, touch her and d*e (literally) and a little bit of enemies to lovers are some of my favourite tropes. Tempe and Steel are impossible not to love and root for.

it’s been a minute since i’ve read an MC romance. i enjoyed how even though it’s fast paced, the storyline flowed naturally and the romance did not feel rushed in any way. liked it a lot!

I will start by saying that I’m down bad for Steel. I love this man. He is the BIGGEST simp for Tempe from the start. They really try to fight the pull between each other, I LOVE THE TENSION!

Also, Tempe is a goddess and nothing less. She is a feisty badass and will protect what’s hers at all cost. Her love for her baby brother runs so deep that she would do anything for him. When Steel is in the picture they are the sweetest little family because AUSTIN IS HIS 😭🥹

Between the plot and spice I was eating this book up! ALSO, I need everyone to read this so I can talk about the freaking PLOT TWIST!!!!
