Torn Between the Plug & A Savage
She was engaged to the Plug and then...See what had happened was.... Imagine waking up in your once beautiful mansion, being pampered by housekeepers, and maids, surrounded by people who literally worshipped the ground you walked on...all simply because you were considered 'Hood Royalty.' That had been the life for twenty four year old,Sanai, until it was all suddenly snatched away from her when her fiancé was sentenced to 25 years, leaving her with absolutely nothing but pain and heartache. Sanai had two kids and one on the way, and just with that pressure alone she finds herself at rock bottom, forcing her to move back to the low income section 8 projects where she was born and raised. It doesn't take long for Sanai to see that being a pretty kept chick can only get you so far, especially in a world full of savages, thugs and drug dealers. Growing up in Newark's Southward, life hadn't always been easy for Saint. From birth, he had been thrown into the gang banging lifestyle, following in his mothers footsteps as one of the most vicious Crips throughout New Jersey. Saint and his left hand, Cuz, only have two things on their twenty year old getting money and sleeping with multiple women that loved their lifestyle. Above all things they plan to one day take over the legacy and run things just like their parents. That is, until Saint runs across the sexy single mother that moved into his projects. Kayla and John have been together for eight years. Their relationship transformed from two happy people, into strangers who coexist fearing the idea of being alone. At wits end, Kayla agrees to give their a relationship one last shot by allowing another woman into their bedroom. Just when things start looking up, Kayla meets the rough, straight forward, Havoc, who shows her that real men don't need much in this world to be satisfied. But is Kayla ready to leave a 'grown boy', or is she too focused on the longevity to get her happy ending. Sit back and enjoy the ride as the gang experiences the wins and losses that come along with the game they love. Must Read
The plot twist in this book will have you own the edge of your seat. It was a little predictable. The way Sanai sister acted about her and her children living with her, and talking crazy about Sanai and Gerald relationship. It wasn't hard to figure out Kim was scandalous, bitter, and jealous. Kim is truly a trifling and snake ass b***h. Gerald wasn't worth a damn. After he got caught up with the FED'S. Sanai slowly but surely started finding out about all his secrets. I could tell from the beginning Saint was smitten with Sanai. Listening to how he said he was conceived was truly heartbreaking. Most women in Saint mother Cane position more than likely would've aborted or gave their child up for adoption. Cane loved the hell out of Saint. Their bond is heartwarming. However Cane husband Gucci is a sick son of a b***h and he's also a snake a snake. Gucci pretending he wanted Cane to start acting more like a wife and step back from GMC. When he's really trying to low-key kill Saint knowing his death would cripple Cane. Saint was right when he told his mother that Gucci knew LA was a snitch. Saint started paying more attention to LA after Cuz kept telling him he believes LA was the one who tried to have him robbed and killed. Cuz always thought in his gut that something was off about LA. Both Gucci and his nephew LA was plotting on the mother and son. I like Nika with her crazy ass. She played no games when it came to Cuz. Their relationship was toxic as hell though. I really believe Cuz when he said he didn't cheat on Nika with his other baby mother Jahmara. Kayla need to cut her losses and leave John where he's at. I don't know why she felt the need to bring another woman into their relationship just to keep John. John don't respect her or their relationship. He seems to be more into Paris than he's into Kayla but you can tell Paris is into Kayla more than she's into John. Their whole poly situation seems weird. I have a feeling John is going to get killed by either Cane or Saint. He's too damn sneaky and their little truce they had seem to be slipping. Havoc being out of prison ain't going for Gucci. Especially after learning what Gucci done. Havoc been holding the truth about Gucci for year's but he have no clue that Cane have found out. I wasn't too surprised finding out about Cane and Hoodsta. They been giving each other googly eye's. Saint peeped it early on too but the way this ended. Cane just found out Saint and Sanai have been in a accident, she's pregnant, and Hoodsta looks like he's about to snapp when Gucci revealed her pregnancy.

There are alot of characters in this novel. Which ended up being a little confusing. With that being said. The story never really seems to fully focus on Nai and Saint. Everyone doesn’t need a backstory, to say the least. All in all this is a typical hood story. That is rooted in gang culture. Men selling drugs and ultimately flipping their earnings into legitimate businesses. All the while selling poison to the neighborhood and robbing kids of parents. Although the “hood” in this story is described as a urban “utopia” so to speak. Just makes me SMH, at the utter ludicrousness of it all. Everyone affiliated with this gang is a walking hypocrite and the writer is even more asinine for trying to pass this off as okay. My god, we have got to do better in 2022!

You can’t convince me these men and women can walk into a board meeting and convince someone to do business with them. The only redeeming person was Sanai, but as the chapters went on. She was just given a bare minimum role. All the characters are interconnected and, I really dislike that also. The more I read, it became a struggle to finish and ultimately I felt nothing in relation to the outcome of the story. As I wasn’t too sure what exactly this story was trying to convey.

Read once, read twice still good.
When I bought this book, I didn't realize that it was a repeat until I tarted reading it. Now I need the conclusion. I know the baby by Cane is Hoodsta. Caine husband was a jerk and rapist. Huggly Kim is mean spirited, hateful. Gerry is no good and deserves those 25 years behind bar. Saint and Cuz are interesting. This s still a very good book.

Been waiting for the finale since 2018 and still....
Ian sooo disappointed . I read this thinking it was the finale from book one back in 2017 and book two in 2018. Unfortunately, it is a re-release. I would recommend waiting for the finale to read the series. Otherwise, you will get all into it and then wait years for the ending. Don’t buy now.

I loved it.
This book was really good. I mean there was lots of drama, some good sex and a great story line all together. And baby that ending smh…. Karma Monea gets me every time with her cliff hangers she is the queen of a ending that leaves you wanting more. I will def recommend this book it’s a great read. I can’t wait for the next one

Damn this book was good from beginning to end I a must read the amount of jealousy and drama is on another level I hope Saint is okay and Sanai lose that baby she doesn’t need another by Gerald he ain’t shit for sleeping with not only the sister by not taken care of home the right way

Well-written as usual but I didn't connect to any of the characters at all. I don't have a favourite character. It flowed really well. It was predictable and some boring unnecessary information and flashbacks. But other than that it wasn't a bad read. I'm in two minds to continue the series... we'll see.

Torn between a Thug &Savage
The Savage wins out because the person who thought they were a thug was just a phony pretending to be a thug. Thugs are desperate but Savages are dangerous. I like the Saint character but I think I will love the Havoc charavter.
