Among all the walled provinces across the Palatinate, one is far different than the others. Omegawood is the entertainment capitol, where movies and television programs are created and beamed out for consumption. Alphas, betas, and omegas come from far and wide, hoping to get their big breaks on stage and screen, ready for superstardom.* * *A year ago, Alpha Dominick “Dom” James made the move to Omegawood to find his way onto the big screen, but he’s only managed to land a few small roles in student flicks. To make ends meet, he spends his nights working behind the bar, mixing cocktails for the brash and beautiful. One evening brings him face-to-face with the owner of the newly opened Cobra Productions — and an invitation for an audition, likely with strings attached. When he arrives to his audition, Flynn Walker is in attendance, the film's omega director — and his mate. Already twisted into knots by his agreement, Dom’s hands are tied. He must hide the want pounding in his veins or risk losing everything.Flynn isn’t ready to jump into the sack with Dom, either. Few omega directors exist in Omegawood, and no one wanted to invest in his vanity project except for Cobra. He’s not ready to put his career and his project in jeopardy over a man.Even if that man is his mate. Can Dom and Flynn figure out a way to be together without ruining their careers and destroying the movie that brought them together?* * *This title originally appeared in the Valleywood series but has been deeply edited and 13,000 words have been added before re-release.
International bestselling Queer and MM romance author Kelex lives in Hampton Roads, Virginia with his daughter and senior chihuahua.
When not being a pain in his kidult’s ass or writing under various pen names...
Wait, who are we kidding? He's an indie author and always working.
He's got a plethora of artistic hobbies he doesn't enjoy often enough—unless you count stockpiling yarn, stained glass, baking paraphernalia, paints, canvasses, and books as independent hobbies themselves.
Nothing crazy and kind of just like a normal book. I just love omegaverse and this world and this author. The concept of blackmail was fun but I just got tired of it by the end, and Trevoli was just so gross. I kinda wish Trevoli had been hot and there had actually been some tension, he was just a freak since the beginning. The position Flynn and Dom were in does sound horrible. Like having to ignore each other while filming fucking sucks when you know yall are mates. What I do appreciate about these series is that in most cases, there’s a strong omega and an alpha that supports them and wants them to have a life outside of children. Usually until they have a child but it’s something at least. Like Flynn was honestly such in a hard position in the film industry being one of the only omegas and I understand why he was looking out so hard for himself. What fucking pisses me off is that LABOR ALWAYS HAPPENS DURING AN IMPORTANT EVENT IN THE OMEGAS LIFE. like why did it have to start during his movie premiere are you kidding me. Also lowkey goated because I watched Marty supreme the same day I finished which had a big dilemma of choosing between family and his work. Also just the name omegawood is just so funny it makes me laugh everytime. And Isle de Miamian as a city is even funnier. I predict that the second book is going to be about Aubrey. Such a sweet character and also it would make sense for it to be like he set people up as a job but couldn’t find his own love.
Quotes: - ‘ “I’m yours now,” Dom murmured. “He might think he owns me, but it’s you. From the moment I laid eyes on you, I sensed our bond, and I knew. I belonged to you.” ‘
I’m going to apologize to Kelex. I’ve had this book in my library for a while. I really didn’t think I would like it but we all know Kelex does not put out crapshoot books. Once again Kelex has written a book that has kept me interested. I have read this book within 24 hours. That’s with having to stop several times. This book is riveting, exciting, a little mysterious, and has messy situations. There’s characters I like, there’s characters I love and there is definitely characters I hate. Well, at least two characters I hate and one I’m on the fence about. This book deserves more than a 5 star ⭐️ rating but alas we only get 5 stars ⭐️. Way to go Kelex. 💜❤️
Is this the fourth Kelex book I’ve read in like 2/3 days? Yes absofuckinglutely!! I cannot get enough of this world and need everyone to read about this omegaverse set in a similar world as ours. Ugh, but seriously the angst and forbidden element of not being able to be with your fated mate had me needing to know what was going to happen. Flynn is an omega director who is so excited for his project to be a reality, but he’s missing an alpha actor to play his Kevin. What happens when your Kevin is also your fated mate? And the person who brought you together is also the person making your lives hell. Cannot recommend this book enough!
I wasn’t sure about this when I waited a while to read it. a total prejudice of mine but I don’t like any main characters who are actors, involved in cinema/motion, pictures or reporters. It’s a turn off for me. Kelex writes such great characters that I was turning the pages, loving Dom and Flynn. I really love all the books in this omega verse that she has created. So I’m definitely going to read book 2.
My least favourite Palatinate book, but since I adore every single other one, the least favourite is still pretty good. It's my least favourite because I don't like reading about couples who have to hide their relationship, which is for most of this book. Personal preference, so if you have no objection to that and you love Kelex's omegaverse, don't miss this one. Omegawood is a fascinating corner of the Palatinate and I can't wait for more here.

This is pretty sweet story. The acting aspect seems like something that could happen which is unfortunate. I liked the main characters and the overall.story arc.
When you make a deal with the devil, the angels flee. An opportunity presents. Struggling to break into the movie industry Dom is caught in the headlights of someone who can open doors. But there is a price. While it doesnt sit right, it's not the worst thing that could happen, and its only for a short time right? Right?? Meeting the producer literally produces feelings - strong alpha, want to rip your clothes off feelings - on both sides. But I repeat... When you make a deal with the devil, the angels flee.... it has a good storyline and worth reading. But could have been "more" somehow
First of all, I didn’t realize I would love this so much. I was SHOCKED to find I loved the actor/director thing… and of course it’s got Kelex’s flare for the human Omegaverse that I love so much. Seriously, this was just a great read!
