For an author's first attempt at writing contemporary romance, this is exceptionally good. She has created strong, believable characters and put them into situations that could happen to anyone. She created a story that will hit a chord with anyone who reads it, because we can imagine ourselves in some of those scenes. It's a heartfelt story full of warmth, passion, betrayal, and self-discovery.
I loved the character of Harper. Throughout the story, you can watch her grow, watch her go from a heartbroken girl to a strong, vibrant woman who values herself enough to do what she needs to do. Avery was another favorite of mine. He was so sweet and sincere. I suspected Ethan from day one and am glad Ms. Blount added Avery into the mix. I thought to myself, finally someone worthy of this girl.
It's a beautiful story and one I'd recommend to anyone over the age of 18 as there are some sexual scenes in the book. She's left it open for a sequel and if she writes one, I will definitely be reading it.

This was seriously one of the sexiest books I've read in a very long time. I loved the characters and the chemistry they had together. For author Kelly Blount's first attempt at a smexy book she hit it straight out of the park. I was blushing and fanning myself at almost every turn or swipe, lol, of the page.
Things moved a little quickly but it fit the persona of the characters perfectly. I personally could relate to their situations and as a possessive and clingy person myself I totally got it. I can't wait for more and If your looking for a nice smexy read this one is totally it.

I really love reading contemporary romances like this. It has a great storyline, believable and relatable characters, hot guys...(I liked Ethan until he turned..*spoiler*), it has everything you could ever love from a romance novel. Did I mention it has steamy love scenes as well? This book is hot and you should go buy it now!

Impassioned ★☆★☆.5I recieved this book from the author in exchange for an honest review!I went into this book blindly. I didn't read any reviews and I had never heard of the author before. Oh boy, how I love discovering Awesome new authors!Impassioned is about a girl named Harper who is still stuck on her highschool sweetheart who wants to "take a break". One night while out with her friend she meets the incredibly sexy Ethan! He seems perfect. Attentive, gorgeous, and rich. But remember looks can be deceiving. This book is HOT! Probably one of the sexiest books I have read in a longtime! I love how believeable, real, and well developed the characters are. I could relate to Harper in so many different ways it was crazy! I love how we got to watch Harper grow as an individiual and in each of her relationships. She goes from this young naive girl with no experience to a grown mature woman who just went through hell and survived it.My biggest complaint is that this story ended! I enjoyed it so much. I was on an emotional roller coaster. I laughed, yelled, cried, cussed different characters out! This book brought up so many emtions I haven't felt in a long time. Which is a big reason I love reading New Adult novels. I highly recommend checking this book out

This is a lovely story of a young woman’s voyage of self-discovery after her longtime boyfriend asks to ‘take a break’ from their relationship. (We all know what that really means). They had been high school and then college sweethearts. While trying to get her life refocused, Harper meets Ethan. The connection is immediate and passionate. This book is filled with explosive passion, in addition to jealous boyfriends and obsessive ex-girlfriends. I was hooked on the first page and could not put this book down until I finished it. This story is filled with tender love, caring family and friends, angry and vicious ex’s, betrayal, and new friends.
I recommend this book to 18+ adults because it does contain sexual scenes. These scenes are very well written. This book has an ending; but it is set up in such a way as to make it possible for Ms. Blount to write a sequel. I hope she will. I’d like to follow Harper as she continues to grow and learn about life. I give this book 4.5 stars.

I'd say if your into romance, high school sweetheart drama, stalker relationships, mental abuse, a bit of physical abuse u see, and just plan fun nights out with your beasties you'll like this book.
I think it's in need of some fixing with too many typos that shouldn't have been missed. it really made me go back and look to see if I read wrong on Harper's and Ethans 1st date that it was written Emma and Ethan. certainly that needs corrected. amount the other typos.
I didn't l I keep all the thoughts that were constantly added after or when Harper did something. it's just overwriting. Harper on the other hand is a good character, believable, relatable to a lot of us im sure. She was too fickle for me, she feel in love with every hot guy she met. she gave it up to a dude she knew 2days who ended up being possessive and violent but dated Derek for 4yrs and wouldn't let him touch her. yeah he was a jerk but t as much as it described how much she loved him it's too unbelievable. Then Derek just disappears no nothing. now I guess she's in love with Avery. if theirs another book I hope it's or off read better , so not a bad job for a 1st book that's why I gave it 4 stars.
If there is a book #2, I'm just hoping it's better because their is good writing potential their.

I really liked this book. It's a journey, Harper's journey, through heartbreak, but also a discovery of her true self.
She was going through a break up with someone she thought would have been there for her always ans she found it difficult, but with the help of her bestfriend she made new friends.
She never thought she would fall for someone else, but it happened. Ethan seemed perfect, but she soon discovered that things aren't always that good.
I think that Harper is inexperienced and naive. She just doesn't know what she wants yet and she finds herself in uncomfortable situations and under pressure from different sides. She goes along until she has to make a decision, when things get harder and somehow a bit dangerous.
I started to like her better after she moved and I love Avery. Of the 3 guys he is the one I would trust the most. I'd love to read more about the two of them.
Whatever I think of the characters I can't help but praise this book, because it shows you what is a part of every girl's life. You go through different phases and as you do you'll learn and find out who and what is good for you.

I'm really into this genre right now and it didn't let me down one bit.
I really enjoyed this book and the characters. It took an interesting turn towards the end, which I wasn't expecting. I hope in the second book it clears up some of the "drama" and that went on. I really hope that Harper sticks to her guns and doesn't let certain people back in her life again so she can be happy in her new life and I hope she stays in LA.

March 6, 2016Uhhhh. Yeah, I don't know about this book. It finally really started to get good the last few chapters and then just ended... I don't know if I want to read the next book or not... Hmmm
Harper drove me crazy throughout this entire book. Whines, self centered, oblivious. I just can't handle her.

ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!!!I loved this story! It grabbed me right from the beginning and kept me hooked all the way to the end. It is very intriguing and had a lot of surprises right to the very end! I totally loved it!! Great job by this author!

it was written by Kelly, she did a awesome job! I recommend this book! I didn't read the adult scenes of the book, I read the other parts..!!
