He never needed anybody.
After his mother's death, Seth struggled to form connections. Instead, he formed one-night stands. Then he met Gabby, and he suddenly wanted more than just a night—he wanted all the nights.
She had her life all planned out.
She had meticulously planned her life. She wanted a future as a doctor, globetrotting, and selfless work in remote areas where people need medical care. Love was not part of the equation. Yet, it found her, and it was more than she ever anticipated. But can she let go of her plans for love? Must she?
Seth could have presented himself better to Gabby in the beginning. Can he get a rematch?
Tammy Falkner lives on a farm in a lovely, sprawling little town in rural NC with her beekeeper husband and a house full of boys, a few dogs, and a cat or two (or five – who has time to count?). As half of the Lydia Dare team, she has co-written ten books, including the Westfield Wolves series and the Gentlemen Vampyre series. A huge fan of Regency England, she often wonders what other kinds of magical, mythical and strange creatures might live and interact within the ton. Exploring the theory that the fae can walk between Regency England and their own land, Tammy spends as much time as possible with the lords and ladies of society, horse-drawn carriages, and elegant balls. Now add to that some faeries, a little murder, a bit of mayhem, and a troublesome garden gnome, and you have her exciting new series. She hopes you enjoys her world as much as she does.
I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.
Every. Single. Book. Tammy Falkner writes, I devour. Seriously, I have no idea what she puts in these books, but I can't get enough of them. With this book to officially connect the Reeds and the Fishers, I knew it was going to be amazing. Because all of her books are, but this one? THIS ONE? I went through every emotion I possess and I loved every single word of this novel.
Seth is fantastic. He's been through so much and he has learned so much from his childhood to then being with the Reeds. Basically he's perfection in my mind ha. But he is so patient and thoughtful and emotional. I loved seeing him pursue Gabby over and over again.
And Gabby is such a strong woman and I loved seeing her take care of herself without needing someone to protect her. The way she got G. L. to cower was fantastic and I was so proud of her as a fellow woman. She did protest WAY too much that you knew she was lying the second it happened. And I loved seeing her relationship with her family blossom throughout this book.
The Reeds are fantastic and still have the goodness about them that they had in their own stories. I've said this before, but we need the Reed family to be real because we need more amazing, selfless people in this world to help others.
And the Fishers were magnificent, especially Pops. That man is hilarious and I can't help but love him so much.
So, yes, I devoured this book even though I wanted to savor it. This book has DEFINITELY shown me that I want to reread the entire backlog of Tammy Falkners books, BUT you 1,000% do not need to reread to enjoy this book. Tammy was able to flawlessly revisit this world again without feeling lost or confused and that is talent not many authors have. Especially because it's been awhile since I've visited these characters, but the second I opened this book, I was right back in it with no issues whatsoever.
I am so glad another book was released to see these amazing people again and I'm so glad I got to read this!

🌟 This book is a must-read for fans of both series. "Rematch" is a heartwarming, emotional journey that will have you experiencing every emotion and loving every word.
I love, love, love this series!! The Reed family captured my heart many years ago, & every story has its own special place there.
Seth & Gabby's story takes place right after the family's Christmas at Lake Fisher, so I recommend reading that novella as a refresher. It enriched this one for me to do a reread of that one! 😁
I adore these two & their journey so much! The banter & friendship leads to them allowing themselves to fall in love. They have so much in common & are so very perfect for each other, and they're a joy to read.
We also get lots of Matt & Sky time, Logan, too. Really, the whole family play their parts wonderfully. And the ending... SWOON!
Oh. My. Heart!!! Just take it, take it!! We are back with the Reed Brothers and Seth is all grown up!! This book was like being back with family and I love this family soooo much. The unwavering love, support, loyalty between them all is beautiful! And let’s not forget the banter that happens when they all get together. Seth and Gabby? What can I say? I have laughed, I have cried and I have swooned! And cried and laughed abit more! You all need to read this!! My heart is so full right now!! Thank you so much Tammy Falkner for creating this amazing family and sharing them all with us.
Oh, my goodness, I laughed, cried and every emotion there is. I have loved the Reeds since the very beginning. I can’t believe Seth and Gabby were grown already. I loved it. Tammy, your series of the Reeds are just everything. Not enough words to put down. I think I am hoping we revisit them in the future for either Reed kids or friends. Thank you I read in one day I want more.
I snort-laughed. I cried. Nothing makes you feel like a Tammy Falkner book. I was so glad to see the mix of Reed Brothers and Lake Fisher--I love them both and love that they are all one world! Seriously, Pops is one of my favorite characters in fiction.
If you haven't checked out either the Reeds or Lake Fisher, get cracking! You will be so happy you did!
This book is Seth and Gabby's story; although the rest of the Reed Brothers are included. Seth is in college and so is Gabby. The met several times over circumstances that enhance their book. A couple of plot twists. It's great to reconnect with the Reed family again.
Seth has grown into the amazing young man we expected, I laughed, I cried, I felt all the feels with this one. It was great to see a glimpse of the Reed family and their loving influence on Seth. Well worth the read!
So excited to catch up with the Reed family! What a great addition to the series. Great characters, big family, I love a story that continues. I hope there is more!
