A murder mystery based on true events with a fair sprinkling of fiction All the houses in the road were in darkness behind blackout curtains, but as Wayne got closer, his house seemed darker and more ominous. Private detective, Charlie Moray, didn’t know quite what to expect when Diana Saunders swept into his office, like a film noir femme fatale. A widow whose dead husband had a colourful past. She claimed that her wayward son had absconded to Hollywood, owing her money. But was this the whole story? Embarking on his own investigation, Moray discovers disturbing aspects regarding Harry Saunders death. Eventually, Moray goes to Hollywood and tracks down Wayne in a world of seedy glamour that he barely imagined. Now, suspecting the true story behind Diana Saunders pursuit of her son with the corrupt Inspector Fuller in tow, Moray wonders if he hasn’t drawn a target on Wayne Saunders back. From Cricklewood to Hollywood, a dark family secret would pursue Wayne Saunders.
From the true life of the author with a fictional crime added to make it more attractive and exciting.. Great idea. Well written and a page turner. I highly recommend.
