From USA Today bestselling author Leslie Langtry comes an epic murder mystery, ten years in the making...
Welcome to the Museum of Murder!
Who knew that the town of Who’s There was the murder capital of Iowa? And its new Museum of Murder is a hit, though Ex-CIA spy turned Girl Scout leader, Merry Wrath is less than happy that she’s featured in the exhibits. Besides its quirky and somewhat disturbing charm (and a gift shop with questionable practices), everyone wants to know who’s behind Who’s There’s hottest attraction? Some speculate it’s hometown boy Sheldon McBride—a reclusive, ultra-wealthy inventor of ethanol-fueled cars, drones (and, rumor has it, a flock of robot turkeys).
Be careful, or you might become the next exhibit!
This weird new museum should be nothing but harmless fun... that is until a killer recreates copycat murders among the exhibits! As usual, chaos follows as Merry's troop wants to hand out rotting shark snacks for their Thinking Day booth on Iceland, the dreaded annual cookie sales are coming up, Future Spy of America Betty has a boyfriend, and Merry becomes an aunt for the first time when her twin sisters-in-law finally have their baby boys. Unfortunately, the addition of the new infant citizens isn’t enough to save Who’s There from a population drop as the killer goes on a spree. Merry has no time to lose to catch a killer before she becomes an exhibit of her own…permanently!
Leslie Langtry is a USA Today Bestselling Author of the Merry Wrath Mysteries and the Bombay Family of Assassins Greatest Hits series. She lives in the Midwest with her family and is an active Girl Scout volunteer. Her dream is to someday invent calorie free cake.
Another great, wacky Merry Wrath! This one has some spoilers, so if you haven’t read the previous books in the series, then you might want to go back and start at the beginning. Lots happening in this one. The main storyline is around a new museum that has been built in town - a murder museum that has displays of all of the previous murders in Who’s There, Iowa, Merry’s hometown. And, what’s more, since Merry was involved in all of the murders, the museum is basically about her. This one has it all, so sit down and be pr be epared for lots of surprises!
Oh my goodness, there is a new museum in Who’s There, dedicated to the murders Merry has solved since she’s moved back home! It’s no surprise that Mayor Ava and her sidekick Betty are behind it, but Merry was shocked that a famous inventor is backing the museum financially (who wants to remain anonymous). Even though this book contains spoilers from other Merry Wrath books, if you haven’t read them and wanted to jump ahead to this one it’s still enjoyable and tells enough history to make it easy to follow along. If you have read the other books, it’s very interesting rehashing some of the previous murders, yet there is enough storyline specific to this one to keep it new and refreshing, and even new murders to solve as well. Plus, we find out a little more about Betty’s “boyfriend," and finally get to know the boy who has stolen the heart of the most ruthless little girl ever born! In addition, Blasto and Blasto finally make their arrival in Who’s There, and I know you will find that whole part of the story hilarious! As always, Ms. Langtry keeps me laughing uncontrollably. I just can’t wait to find out what she thinks of next!
An unusual look back at murders in Who's There, Iowa, and of course Merry Wrath's involvement. It was not only a clever setting but also a brilliant moneymaker for the town and of course, the Girl Scout Troop. Merry's recent past in human dioramas meets current day. So many little humorous asides especial in the troop's planning for upcoming Thinking Day activities. But there are some strange things going on, and not all relate to murder. Merry and Rex have two new nephews who are a little too Stephen King-ish to be cute. Hilly is popping in and out, "helping" Merry. Just when you think you know what's happening another surprise comes along. I enjoyed a brief visit with Mr. Fancy Pants as another nod to the past. Loads of laughs and great characters equals a book to enjoy and an excuse to reread some past books of the series. It was fantastic!
You will be snickering, chortling, and rolling on the floor with the turning of each page. I am not sure what was more entertaining, Merry reactions to the Murder Museum exhibits or the girl scouts who were marketing geniuses that wasted no time in capitalizing on the chaos. In the midst of this chaos Merry must help the girls plan for the Thinking Day Project, help to keep the museum open, and be there for her sister-in-laws’ baby deliveries. Book 30 might have been my starting point for this series but it won’t be my last.
One of my top 2 series , thus might be my flavorite I did not see who the killer was so great job. I fell for red herring lol seriously this is great series it has fun unique characters so funny humour parts action suspend just well written who don't it . Betty is great she is glitching still curious to go d out how long that last , she my favorite character with Philby and not fancy pants and have confess for the parrot reminds me of my old bird I had most of my life .. But museum of murder
When a Girl Scout troop decides to open a Museum of Murder, highlighting some of the murders Merry Wrath Ferguson has been involved in, they end up with more murders than they initially anticipated.
The Merry Wrath murder mysteries are known for their meticulously crafted plots, but what truly sets them apart are the delightful quirky incidents and backstories that will have you chuckling from start to finish.
In Museum of Murder Merry is dismayed to learn that Who’s There has opened a museum about murders she has been involved with since returning to town. This is another delightful, twisted, mad romp with Merry, Rex, and the girl scout troop. With three new murders in the newly opened museum, Merry and Rex will have to decipher the clues and wade through red herrings to get to the truth. I thoroughly enjoyed the very surprisiing ending!
The publisher gave me an advanced read copy. This is one of my absolute favorite series and it just keeps getting better. There is a copy cat killer on the loose and it seems to be tied to the hottest attraction in town. As Merry sets out to stop this killer, naturally, the troop gets involved. They are a hoot. Great mystery, great hijinks and great characters.
Meeting Betty's crush, the new babies, and the goat thing? As usual, this episode of Merry and Company was fast-paced paced and hilarious. No need to suspend disbelief, just embrace the nutty fun. The characters keep me coming back, and the humor has seen me through some bad times. Now I'm excited to crack open the next book!
A fun cosy murder mystery set in a museum based on Merry's murder investigations while living in the town. While an embarrassment to Merry it quickly turns into a hot tourist attraction especially after a further murder takes place inside the museum. A well written and fast paced storyline that kept me engaged until the very end. Highly recommend.
Another twister by Leslie Langtry. Full of twists and turns. With all the Zany characters, and her famous Girl Scout troop. Pick this book up and read it for yourself. You’ll laugh yourself silly. With every thing that gos on in the MerryWrath mysteries. Debra H.
This is one of my favorite series. The books are lighthearted and funny. You never know what an ex-CIA spy and her Girl Scout troop will get into next, but it is always entertaining. I highly recommend this book and the whole Merry Wrath mystery series.
Another awesome book in this series. I am not sure how the author comes up with these hilarious stories but I am glad that she does. Original, hilarious & unique. Keeps the reader guessing and laughing. I highly recommend.
