A summer fling so hot, it can raise spirits…

Whispering Cove, Book 12

Home renovation specialist Alexis Miller thought snapping up an old Victorian fixer-upper in podunk Whispering Cove would put her on the fast track to proving herself to her brothers.

She can handle cooling her heels to wait for the right permits. It’s the ghosthunter claiming he needs to spend the night to check out the “cold spots” that’s got her body temperature fluctuating.

When Sam Doherty responds to an emergency phone call to cleanse a haunted house in Whispering Cove, the first thing he notices is how Alexis hides her femininity behind baggy coveralls—and how she wants to cover up the old home’s beauty with modern frills. As a guy who “sees” things others can’t, he sets out to teach her to appreciate the hidden beauty, inside and out.

Scary noises soon send Alexis into Sam’s arms, and when a kiss leads to passionate lovemaking, Alexis wonders if it’s possible to find common ground in this small town. Or, once the house is “clean”, if Sam will disappear faster than a ghostly apparition.

Contains enough sexual tension to raise spirits and turn any cold spot into a sweltering vortex of heat and passion.

Cathryn Fox has created quite a literary treat for readers with this one, definitely a can't miss story! Of the three installments I received in my arc copy this one was my favorite, I loved the little paranormal twist to it. Alexis and Sam's story captivated my attention right away and kept me on the edge of my seat the whole way through. The story line was very well written, engaging, creative, and unlike anything I have read before, which made for quite the refreshing read for me! I enjoyed my visit to the town of Whispering Cove, so much so, I plan to make a return trip and acquaint myself with the characters I missed out on in earlier installments of the series!

I highly recommend you check out this series, it will definitely satisfy all your reading needs, and then some!

This story reminded me of a 7-11 burrito, quick and hot. The old men were super cute. One thing I didn't get was the end. They just showed up and treated her like she was in kindergarten. Very nasty guys and for no reason.

Flirty (Whispering Cove #12) by Cathryn Fox 4 stars
I’ve got to hand it to Cathryn Fox because she writes the most devious of the grandpa’s by far. Errol really went to some great lengths in this book to get his couple together. Alexis Miller and Sam Doherty are thrown together by unusual circumstances and go from Flirty to down and dirty in a heartbeat but it was so deliciously sexy who the hell cares?
In town to flip an old Victorian house and prove to her brothers and father that she’s worthy of being a part of the family business back home, Alexis (Lex) Miller runs into all sorts of problems with the preservation committee refuses to issue the permits she needs to modernize the old homestead. Sam Doherty is back in Whispering Cove to help out the friend of his grandfather who claims an old home is invaded with a ghost. A respected ghost hunter, Sam soon figures out there’s no ghost in the house but something is going on and he doesn’t plan to let the pretty homeowner fight it herself.
Talk about lust at first sight, the minute these two lay eyes on one another they start having sexy thoughts. I liked these two together and while this is an extremely sexy story, it just seemed to move at too fast of a pace. There just wasn’t a lot of getting to know you time and I was disappointed in the rush at the end where a lot of really big life decisions were made in the blink of an eye. I did however really like these characters and the way they fit into each other’s lives.
Flirty contained some fun, a little bit of deviousness, and a whole lot of sexy times making it an entertaining addition to this series.
The Whispering cove series always manages to entertain, give me a few laughs, and without a doubt it offers some supremely sizzling hot fun. These books are perfect for the hot summer months to come and will have you wishing for your own beach side romance.

If you are considering a fresh summer romance that combines a pleasing balance of spice, good intentions and lust, look no further than Flirty (Whispering Cove #12) by Cathryn Fox. This is a nicely written, fast-paced novella with extremely likeable main characters. Whispering Cove, Maine, is a charming place to fall in love and enjoy the seascape of the summer season.

Alexis is the only sister of four, very successful, overprotective, older brothers. She desperately wants to prove to them that she can make it on her own. So she buys a heritage home in order to renovate it and flip it for a profit. If she is successful, she knows her brothers will include her in their future renovation business ventures.

Sam is a Whispering Cove native and truly loves the historic area. Ten years ago, his future was crushed by the woman he thought was his soulmate. As a result, he decided to move away and explore his talent for ghost hunting. Returning to the small town temporarily, he eagerly helps Alexis with her haunted new home.

Alexis and Sam have instant chemistry and within a very short period of time, are experiencing the best sex of their lives. As they begin to learn about each other, their lust develops into much more. Between the elders meddling and the human ghosts hovering, Alexis and Sam have discovered a future together.

I liked this story. All the characters are well described and good-natured. Ms. Fox is an expert at creating hot sexy love scenes, so when Alexis and Sam spend the first of many nights together, I knew I was in for a treat. Flirty is an engaging novella that should on your TBR list.

She likes things new and Shiny, He likes things Old and polished. Can they come together thanks to Old Uncle Erol?

Another great addition to this series! He's up to his matchmaking ways again. This time with Alexis who wants to take an old home and make it ultra modern to prove something to her big brothers. Sam's a special kind of guy who can take something old and make it magic, but the last time he did he was scared for life and took off running after Ghosts..leaving a few in his own closet. Lets just say things get hot between the two of them.. literally! I hate to give things away in a review but there are ghosts around every corner!

I received an ARC in return for my honest review

This story was combined with Fiesty and Firery, and I loved this one more than the other two. I liked that Cathryn added that little twist with the ghost hunting to get Sam and Lex together. Whispering Cove is an enchanting close knit little town that would be a great place to bring up a family, and the "grandfathers" make it a point to play match maker when they feel the intended couple can't do it themselves. I was immediately drawn into this story with the characters, the other two short stories, Fiesty and Firery took a bit longer to get into. Overall the three books together we're pretty good, but I would definitely recommend Cathryn Fox's book Flirty. Sexy, funny and fun, well worth the read. I was given this book for an honest review.

Flirty is the 12th book in the whispering cove series. I was a bit concerned I'd be lost not knowing the characters, but I really stands alone well.
our main characters Sam and Alexis both ned help finding who they are at the core, and what a better way than through a meddling old man named Errol. This quick read is fun and entertaining with great characters and a great small town feeling.
Sam is a ghost hunter who left town 10 years ago. Lex desperately wants to fit in with her brothers modernizing old houses. the chemistry between the two is electric from the first moment their eyes lock on each other.
The antics of the "ghost" are entertaining as well. the whole town is one you just want to belong in.
another 5 star read from Cathryn Fox!

I liked this breezy summertime read. Really nice heat between the characters! Alexis 'Lex' Miller supposedly wants to show her overbearing older brothers that she is just as capable as they are at the family business of renovating houses. But when she strikes out on her own, trying to flip an old house in Whispering Cove, she runs into obstacles that she didn't expect.

Sam Doherty is back in his hometown for a short time, but when he meets Alexis, that all changes. He ends up spending a lot more time with her, which leads to a much more permanent stay than he'd planned.

The chemistry is good, the heat level smokin'...all around a great beach read!

Flirty in Whispering Cove was a fun little read with a touch of everything. The characters were fun and feisty and the plot was simple but sweet. Sam and Alexis had some great chemistry together and many times burned up the pages with their passion and desire. The story definitely had an erotic twist but it didn't overshadow who the characters were and why they were together.

As I was reading it, I realized this was one of a series. Lots of other secondary characters filled the pages and a few times I couldn't remember who they were. But it didn't really matter, They were simply along for the ride. And a very fun ride it was!

What a fun romance! Alexis Miller moves to Whispering Cove to buy and renovate an old Victorian home in order to prove to her brothers and father that she can do just as good on a job as they can.
Sam Doherty is back in town for a wedding after leaving it ten years ago and he can't seem to keep his eyes off Alexis. Even behind those unattractive and baggy clothes she is beautiful and Sam has made it his mission to prove it to her.
Neither one of them expected to have to deal with a possible ghost or the town's Historical Society putting renovations on hold, but it works out for the best in the end.

I was given an ARC for an honest review. All conclusions are mine and mine alone.

HAHAHA ghosts in Whispering Cove. are they really ghosts or are our friends the meddling grandpas in action again? Alexis tries so hard to prove herself to her family but she doesn't have to prove anything to Sam. I like how she learns so much from Sam and neither of them have to fight thru it.
yep I'm moving to Whispering Cove...someone's hiding all the hot guys there!
